Missing photos in iCloud drive/ iPhone 6plus

Does anyone know how to turn on the iCloud feature for your photos in iPhone 6 plus. Mine is apparently not working correctly. i have tried everything from unchecking, rechecking everything in system preferences, iPhone, iTunes match....etc. nothing is working, iTunes says that it is in the cloud, but it is not there. can someone please help? thank you.

After waiting more than one week : no changes. Numbers are stile the same.
Note that at the beginning it was slow (progress of new photo that were viewable in iCloud), but it was regular. Now it really seems that the process is blocked.
Is there any way to restart the sync ? Even if from the beginning ? (of course without programming the mistake of considering the iCloud library as the reference)

  • Problem with downloading photo from iCloud to iPhone's Photo Stream

    Hi Apple Support,
I have two apple device, one iPad and one iPhone. For iPad, I turned on 'My Photo Stream' and 'Shared Photo Streams' function before, but iPhone not, and I installed iCloud client at my Win7 PC, so any photos which created by iPad will upload to iCloud and iCould will post them to my Win7 PC, it's perfect!
But.. Here is the problem, I turned on 'My Photo Stream' and 'Shared Photo Streams' function at my iPhone now as well, however the previously photos which created by iPad cannot download to my iPhone's 'Photo Stream', thats mean I cannot download any old photo from iCloud to iPhone's Phone Stream, can I know is this a problem or not? Thanks!
AFAIK, Microsoft's Skydrive could download any files from cloud to end user's device, cant Apple make it as well?

Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, even though a rolling collection of up to 1000 photos will remain on your devices until deleted.  When you enabled photo stream on your phone you would have only received photos added to photo stream in the last 30 days, as older photos are no longer in iCloud.
If you want to get your older photos from your iPad to your iPhone, you can either import them to your computer and sync them to your phone, or use an app like PhotoSync or Bump to transfer them.

  • How to view photos in icloud drive from iphone or ipad devices

I upgraded to icloud drive and I added some photos there (not via the photos app), How do I access them from my iphone or ipad. Which app is compatible with icloud drive to view and share my photos?

As far as I know -none, but it will change with time.

  • How do you sync photos from icloud to iphone

I went to the apple store and had to restore my phone since i was having issues with it and now i've lost all my photos.  I was told not to restore from icloud since this will cause the issues i was having to come back.  How do i sync photos from iCloud without doing a restore onto my iPhone??  I have an iPhone 5 iOS 6.1.4

The restore from backup process is all or nothing, there is no way to selectively restore data. These photos, the one's you're missing, where they only in your camera roll?

  • How can I share photos on iCloud Drive?

I have a lot of photos shot with my DSLR camera.
How can I put all my photos in the iCloud Drive and view the photos from all my devices? And how can my wife view all these photos from her devices - that is .. how can she see all my iCloud Drive photos on her devices?
    Thanks!
    Mojo

I'm not sure understand you at this point.....
Have you set up a "shared photo stream" to share your photos with your wife? [System Preferences -> iCloud .. then check the box next to  "Photos" and click on "Options" to the immediate right.... in the Options drop down make sure "iCloud Photo Sharing" is checked...
Then open iPhoto - select in the sidebar the album you want to share (if you only want to share individual photos select these in the main window)
Then click on the "Share" icon on the lower right of the iPhoto window - a little menu with icons will popup. Click on the iCloud icon in that menu... the next menu that pops up should be titled "Share"
Click on the first item (New Photo Stream --the one with the "+" sign) and create a "shared album" - a drop down window will appear at the top of iPhoto... just fill out the form (whom you want to share it with, the name of the shared album, etc. - if you want your wife to be able to add photos to the shared album, check off the box that says "Subscribers can post"
Your wife will have to agree to "subscribe" to this shared item (she will get "invite on her device - ) - once it is set up to see the shared photos in iPhoto click on "iCloud" in the sidebar under "Shared" and it will show you any shared albums in addition to your own Photo Stream...  on devices, to see the shared album, open the Photos app... at the bottom one of your choices will be "shared" (a cloud icon) - touch that icon and you will get a list of all your shared iCloud albums as well as "activity"...
No need to "export" anything manual, etc.

  • How can I migrate my photos from iCloud Drive into iCloud Photos?

So in the midst of a local backup issue I decided to take the plunge and purchase some 200GB of storage from our friends at Cupertino to store cherished family memories in the view that they would never be lost as I can trust Tim and Co. to look after them. (No issues in that dept by the way).
However, after taking said plunge and uploading my entire back catalogue of photos/videos into an iCloud Drive "Photos backup" (original name I know) folder - i realised that iCloud Photos was becoming available - but I saw no option at the time to import such a vast amount.
My question therefore... how can I now migrate these historic moments in time from my iCloud Drive into the iCloud Photos app?
It's still using the same storage plan... just a 'move folder'.. right? well unless I'm being stupid (and I'm not ruling this out) - I can't see a way to do this.
Has anyone else fallen into the same issue?
Help me Apple-Fans, you're my only hope
    James

You access them with the App responsible for the type of file.

  • Is it a good idea to only save my photos on iCloud Drive instead of paying extra for phone storage?

I'd rather not pay too much for extra storage space when I buy my phone and I am willing to pay 0.99 cents per month for iCloud Drive.

Given all the issues people are having right now with iCloud Drive you would be better off waiting for iCloud photo library to be introduced later this year.  It's designed for allow you to keep your photos in iCloud without having to store them all on your phone.  Besides, you have to use iCloud Drive compatible apps to access documents and data on your iCloud Drive, and as far as I know, there aren't any such apps to access or store photos there from your iOS devices yet.

  • How do I restore my photos from iCloud to iPhone

Can someone tell me if I can restore my photos from iCloud onto my iPhone thanks

I have 5 GB of backed up photos on the Icloud. The only change I've made was to copy the photos in my camera roll to my computer and then deleted all photos from my camera roll.  Some photos that for whatever reason were stored on photostream have been deleted somehow that were there before a month ago.  I can't backup my phone to the icloud because the last backup was way back in June and the photos I need for work were taken in August.  Did Apple hire some imbecile from Microsoft to complicate something that was working perfectly?  Whjere in the HE double hockey sticks did my photographs go??!!!!  If I am suppossed to save the photos I take from phone by somehow going into the photo stream and saving it on my phone where it should have been in the first place lest they get deleted in 30 days, then why wasn't everyone on the planet notified of this change.  What gives apple the right to delete my photos from my camera? No warning, no possible solution. just stripped from you.  This isn't a back up, this is a screw up what is most valuable data to most people, their photos.

  • ICloud Drive - iPhone 5s on iOS 8.1.2

My iPhone 5s running on iOS 8.1.2 always shows iCloud Drive as Upgrading. Despite restarting the phone many times, its still shows upgrading. Any solutions?

Recovery mode doesn't mean that all your data is already lost. You only lose your data if you restore it.
When you plug the phone is into iTunes hold down the home button. iTunes may then give you the option JUST to update the software first. This should not get rid of any data.
However, if iTunes is only giving you the option to RESTORE and update, then you will lose your data I'm afraid.
    Hope that helps!

  • Missing photos on iCloud

I have just come back from a family holiday, I took lots of pics with my iPhone 4 but when I came back to show people my photos on my iPad 2 some pics have not been synced via the iCloud.
I have turned both devices off and on again but no result.
Can anyone suggest what I need to do ?
    Thanks

Those photos were downloaded to all devices that were connected to icloud during time that you were making them.
The last 30 days of those photos are still in the cloud, but the problem is you can not force download. Check all the devices that were connected to cloud before you lost phone.

  • Permanent photo backup - iCloud, iPad, iPhone

    Hello.
I just purchased 200GB plan on iCloud.
I thought it would be the easiest way to backup the photos on my iPad Air and iPhone 5.
Now while browsing trough some tutorials on the web - every site is saying that iCloud is not a photo backup solution - it only stores 1000 photos and deletes them after 30 days.
Is this true? Then why would anybody need so large iCloud plans?
    Thanks.

What you're referring to is Photo Stream, which only stored 1000 of the most recent photos.   With iCloud Photo Library, you can now permanently store your photos and videos on iCloud and sync them across devices.  It's still in BETA though, so it has some quirks and limitations.  With iOS 8.1, you can go into your iCloud settings and enable it.  If you do that, it will replace your camera roll with the iCloud Photo Library and begin uploading ALL of your photos and videos to iCloud. All of these uploads will count towards your photo storage plan, but they will be permanent, as opposed to Photo Stream.  As well as syncing across devices, you can also view them on the web at iCloud.com.   However, the Mac Photos app will not come out until some time in 2015, so right now there are limitations to what you can do with your photos.

  • How do i transfer photos from icloud to iphone?

I got a new iphone and i cant see the pics from my icloud

Welcome to the Apple Community Karin.
    Which photos exactly.
My webpage here might help you understand the various ways photos can be saved on your device and some of the advantages and disadvantages associated with each method.
    Photos in photo stream...
You can log into your iCloud account on another computer or device and enable photo stream to see your photos. You should do this as soon as possible because photo stream in the cloud only keeps photos for 30 days and each day you delay, you will lose another days photos.
    Photos in the camera roll...
If you kept a back up of your device you can use it to restore to a replacement device, this will restore all of the photos in your camera roll and isn't time limited.
