Missing pin from the VGA connector of a 17" CRT monitor that came with G4?

Hi, everyone. Regarding the 17" CRT monitor that came with the G4 "Sawtooth", should the VGA connector that plugs into the video card be missing a pin? On the connector of my monitor, there are 5 pins on the top row, 4 pins (instead of 5) on the middle row, and 5 pins on the bottom row. There appears to be a pin missing from the middle row.

When I try and open my old FCE projects on my new MacBook Pro, a dialog box pops up and asks me to input the serial number for my Final Cut Express program. The software came pre-loaded on my old MacBook Pro which died. Luckily, my local Apple store was able to transfer the fcp files to my new MacBook Pro, which came with FCP X installed. I just can't open those files without the serial number of the FCE 4.0 program.

It is almost impossible to transfer FCE as there are so many essential hidden files that workers in an Apple Store will know nothing about. The app needs to be installed from the original DVD.
Other than buying another copy your only chance (very remote) is to contact the Apple Store and see if they are able to get a replacement number from Apple.

Sorry, no. The DVDs included with the computer is machine specific. You will need to purchase a retail copy of Snow Leopard (10.6)

I have difficulty charging my iphone 5. The nearest service center said that there are missing pins in my lightning connector.

My phone is still under warranty but the service center said that it is voided due to the missing pins inside the lightning connector. What do i do with this? Well, your service is handled by an Authorized Apple Service Center. If they refuse to handle the claim, that is well within their rights. Apple as well could void a claim under the same circumstances. I'm not saying that you did or did not modify the device, but you could try and talk to a supervisor there and make another request. Missing classes from the javax.swing package?

Can anyone throw any light on what appears to be a missing class from the javax.swing package?
When CelsiusConverter.java from The Swing Tutorial (code fragment shown below) is compiled the JFrame class can't be found.

This is extremely strange... If you're sure it's not a problem in your code or with your classpath, the only other thing I can think to suggest is re-downloading / installing java

How do i clear push pins from the maps

For an iphone5 how do i delete push pins from the maps; i have deleted bookmarks and "recent" but still have a pushpin i cannot get rid of?

Unfortunately, redownloading of past music purchases isa still in beta test and only available in the US right now.

An adaptor doesn't burn out. It merely serves as a means to connect the power prongs on your device to the power supply.
I believe you are thinking of a transformer, which you do not need. A transformer converts one voltage to another.
You don't need to do that as the power supply of modern electronics can take almost any worldwide voltage.
Look at the label on the device. It should indicate the input power acceptable of 100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz.
Additionally, I found the adapters cheaper in the UK than I found them in the US. They were available in most supermarket chains. I wasn't in Ireland, so I can't say one way or the other.
If you have something that doesn't have that input power spec, it would require a transformer.
On other items like electric clocks or things with motors, you can connect them up to a transformer and the voltage will be correct, but the frequency may not. For clocks, that will cause them to not keep time well. For motors, they will burn out.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.

I have a pioneer 50 inch plasma   I purchased new from the company back in 2005.   I tried to hook up an Apple Tv to the pioneer receiver that came with the TV.   I can not get it to work.   The receiver has two HDMI inputs in the back.

The receiver has two HDMI inputs in the back. However they say they are not for PC's. Furthermore they must be set up by going to the home menu.    I tried everything, but I can not get the receiver to talk to the Apple TV. I even tried a connector that uses an HDMI to the Apple TV that has the other side of the cable as 5 RCA cables. I could not get the receiver to see the Apple TV.   I have a newer TV in the house, it has no problem talking with the Apple TV. But this older system seems to be handicapped in its ability to talk with the newer Apple TV system.

I could not access the Apple TV on the television.   If I put the Apple TV directly into by TV, I have an external sound system (entertainment system), therefore I worry that I would by pass the audio.

I have somewhat of a similar problem. After iTunes last update, I am missing some of my purchased files of music,ringtones, and TV shows. Possibly movies, but just thought of that and did not look yet. Seems everytime there is an iTunes update, something happens, but usually an easy fix by just deleting music files from CD's that I loaded onto iTunes and no longer recognized after an update and reload from the hard drive. This time I do not have a current back up of all the music, ringtones, and tv shows I have purchased.
So I am also wondering how can I redownload purchases without being charged when there is no file left on the hard drive. It just stays listed in iTunes though.

I have just one button to submit all the answers, and after submiting the student can see his score and review the test to know where he failed. He can't answer again. I'm having a similar problem. I had previously (over a year ago) purchased 2 episodes of Law & Order. Then about 2 months ago, I purchased the 3rd season of Sons of Anarchy. When I downloaded these episodes to my iPad, about a dozen full seasons of various shows popped up, too. When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as Backups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Ask for instructions in that case.
