Missing Plugins prevent CS4 Program opening?

Hi,
I have InDesign CS4 (Vista) and have not opened it in a while (purchased Jan 2009 via download).
Yesterday the program refused to open - can't get past the splash screen.
The program is looking for these two items:
("failed to open...")
WORLDREADY.RPLN
SCRIPTS PANEL.APLN
When it cannot find them, I get this message:
Cannot load InDesign.exe because it requires WorldReady. Please install the WorldReady plug-in and restart InDesign.
I've searched the forums and download/update pages, and am not finding anything that seems to help. Should I re-download and re-install the product?
Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Missing plugin from CS4

InDesign CC2014 will not package file due to missing plugin from CS4. Help, please.

@VS_Color – what plugin is missing?
Try export or save the indd file to IDML, open the IDML, save it under a new name and then do the packaging.

  • Missing Plugins.  Unable to open InDesign CS4 file, using CS3.

    There are various updates InDesign CS3 available;
Adobe InDesign 5.0.2, 5.0.3, and 5.0.4.dmg etc, plus 'Digital Editions'.
Which one provides correct plugins to allow opening of a CS4 originated file in CS3?
Alternatively, is there a link which provides a utility which will automatically detect which
plugins you require to update from CS3>CS4?
    Thanks very much.

My script in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4071273 will identify with what version of ID a file is created, which may be helpful at times. (Aside, you may be the first to try it with CS3 -- so it might not work.)
Nothing to be ashamed of on your side, really. That infernally misleading "upgrade your plugins" 'error' dialog has been confusing first-time users from the very first time some lazy programmer at Adobe opted for a quick shortcut in programming and be at home before rush hour.

  • Missing plugin in CS4 InDesign

    Hello,
I have the CS4 Standard Suite for my MacBook Pro and when I open InDesign, it says that I am missing the LILO plugin (the toolbar is missing!) Can I reinstall it somehow.  Thank you!

Can you please at least TRY to help me set ip up?
Best we can do for you is to suggest uninstalling, run the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 ) and then run the installer again. It would probably be a good idea to restart your Mac holding down the Shift key before you do the reinstall to disable unnecessary extensions.

  • Missing plugin in ID CS4

    Hi,
When I opened the Indesign CS4 document, it shows the message
    mm.ms.im.Kernel.IndesignPlugin
"The document 'sample.indd' used one or more plugin-ins ..."
Question 1: Is there any way that, if there is any missing plugin shows, then the file should not opened by indesign. Is there any way to do this within Indesign application.
Question 2: If that plugin is realy not used in the Indesign document, Is there is any way to remove the missing plugin information's from the Indesign document without saving as  .inx .
Please suggest me on this two questions.
    Thanks for the help.
    Regards,
    Gopal

No, It is not a CS5 file.
This file is created in ID CS4.  When we open the same file in another mac machine which have ID CS4, it shows the missing plugin information.
Actually, this plugin is not used in the document.
My question here is, since the plugin is not actually used in the document, why the ID CS4 shows the missing plugin dialog when we open the file.
Is there any way to avoid this dialog while opening the file.
    Thanks,
    Gopal

  • Trying to open a saved down idml file in CS4. Updated CS4 but still missing plugins?

I'm trying to open both an inx file as well as an idml file exported from CS5. I have CS4 and it is updated as far as it will go, but it still says I'm missing plugins. And a lot too... 19 of them! Does anyone know how I can get these plugins? It's requesting them for both the inx file and the idml file.

That is indicative of someone simply renaming an INDD file to IDML. In other words, that file wasn’t EXPORTED from anything. It was saved with a different extension or renamed after saving.

  • How to Open an Indesign file with a missing plugin

Is there a way to open a file that has a missing plugin?
    This is the case:
We used an outside designer who is on CS5 indesign and teacup barcode software plugin cs5
We received his files saved back to CS4, but it is still telling us there is a missing plugin.
I'm assuming it is Teacup software. Is there a way around this??

You should try to be as accurate as possible when describing your situation. For example, you say the file was “saved back to CS4”. That is impossible. There is no way to save an InDesign CS4 file from any program except InDesign CS4. Do you mean that the designer exported an .idml file from InDesign CS5? If so, then say so. If you have been given an InDesign .indd file saved from InDesign CS5, then you have an InDesign CS5 file, not an InDesign CS4 file.

  • Unknown Plugins prevent opening files

I am using CS3 5.0.4 and I get a missing Plugin message asking for Conditional Text.InDesignPlugin and WorldReady.InDesignPlugin when opening clients files. Are these old or missing plugins? InDesign has all the adobe updates to the 5.0.4 version.
Can I download these plugins and install them into InDesign? How can I get these files to open?

Thats the problem, I dont really get an error message that should prevent me from opening it.
The first one is "Missing fonts, The document "3" uses one or more fonts which are not currently available on your system. The text will use a substitute font until the original font becomes available."
The other is "This document contains links ot missing or modified files. Click Fix Links automatically to have InDesign update this document with the modified files and help you locate missing files. Click Don't Fix to correct the problem yourself using the Links panel" 3 missing links 0- Modified links
Actually I just opened the file on another computer and its works fine. Tried the same on a mac here at work and it wouldnt open. The only difference is that we have DARWIN installed on the 2 computers that wont open it and the one that did open it doesnt. So it appears to be a DARWIN issue.
Time to raise a little hell with them I guess.
Thanks for your attempt to help.

  • How do I prevent CS4 from crashing opon opening without having to delete Flexnet Publisher.

When I open CS4, it crashes with out an error message box coming up.  The second attempt, it crashes with the message box saying, Error 150:30, Licensing for this product has stopped working.  I then have to go to the hard drive > library > application support > Flexnet publisher and delete it.  I then can open up CS4 and it stays open.  I have had to do this procedure for many months. I am using Mac OS.6.8.  Is there a way of preventing CS4 from crashing without having to go through this procedure?

If it crashes, you would get a crash report dialog.
It sounds like you either have a bad install, or a bad license.

  • Tryout missing plugins so I can't open it.

  • Something called "television fanatic plugin" which seems to have come with the Safari upgrade is preventing me from opening Safari.  Help

Something called "television fanatic plugin" which seems to have come with the upgrade to Safari 5.1 is preventing me from opening Safari.  I cannot find it on my computer.  What do I have to do to eliminate it and be able to open Safari?

If the software doesn't have an uninstall feature, quit Safari and try manually removing the third-party add-on files. These files are usually installed in one or more of the following locations:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/
    /Library/Input Methods/
    /Library/InputManagers/
    /Library/ScriptingAdditions
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/
    ~/Library/Input Methods/
    ~/Library/InputManagers/
    ~/Library/ScriptingAdditions
The first four locations listed are in the root-level Library on your hard disk, not the user-level Library in your Home folder. The tilde (~) represents your Home folder.
To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library.

  • CS3/CS4 - Persistent data results in missing plugin warning

    Hi,
In my plugin I add persistent data to kDocBoss and kSplineItemBoss.
If the users of my plugin sends a document to one that do not have the plugin, a missing plugin dialog is shown. This is not a big problem, however, users without the plugin are unable to package the document due to the missing plugin!
Is it possible to make InDesign discard persistent data if the plugin is not available, so that the document no more depends on the plugin?
I will be thankful if somebody can give me a hint on this problem.
    Kind regards Toke
