Missing Points / $10 certificate from Preorder

Hi BestBuy Community,
Has anyone receive their $10 pre order bonus from the Assasins Creed Unity? It's been well over 30 days now and I see that points were given but it does not reflect the current balance. I have private messaged a MOD but no response.
Thanks,
Cris

Hi lnkn52,
I hope you are having a great day so far.
If your Assassin's Creed: Unity pre-order was shipped or picked up within 7 days of the games official release, then 500 bonus points should have posted to your My Best Buy™ account within about 20 days.  After using the email address you registered with the forum to look over your account, it would appear that 500 bonus points for your pre-order have already posted.  You will want to scroll pack in your purchase history on BestBuy.com to 11/11/2014 and click on the little box to see those points.
My Best Buy™ "Get $10" Gaming Pre-Order Offer
Thank you for posting to the forum and for being a My Best Buy™ member!

  • Missing Points and Certificate

I have two problems concerning some missing points and a certificate.
    1. I traded in a video game on March 21 and the transaction has yet to appear on my account. I would try to use the method of report missing points, but the page I got from this transaction doesn't have a customer service pin. Only number I see that may help is the transaction ID. Also I don't know if my Gamer's Club Unlocked status was taken into account during this transaction.
    2. I used two $5 best buy certificates in an order that I cancelled 15 days ago. I talked to a representative through live chat, a function that seems to be gone now, and the person said that it should reappear in my account iin 7-10 days. I actually received one of the two certificates back not long after my conversation with the representative, possibly because I mentioned it in my survey after the chat. However, I have not received my other $5 certificate back.
Anyone able to help with these issues?

    Hi Roxxell,
Welcome to the Best Buy forum!
    1.  It can generally take 3 to 5 business days for a transaction to appear in a member's My Best Buy™ account.  If after 5 business days your recent trade-in has not posted to your account, then I should be able to help report it as "missing" so that you can be awarded points.  Please send me a private message if that trade-in does not post and I will see what I can do to help.  A private message can be sent by clicking on the blue button located within my signature.
    2.  The point value for the two certificates you redeemed on BestBuy.com ($10 = 500 points) should have reposted to your My Best Buy™ account within 3 to 6 business days of the order being cancelled.  I looked over your account, and as you mentioned, 250 points have reposted, so there are 250 points remaining that still need to repost.  Being that we are beyond 6 business days, I will make sure those points are added to your account.  You should see 250 points post to your account within 24 to 48 hours.
    Thank you for posting.

  • Missing points, were removed from purchase history

    HI everyone.
Recently i purchased a playstation 4 console as part of a bundle (in-store). In that same transaction i purchase an extra game.
to be exactly the purchase was made on the 10/18/14. i paid with my best buy credit card, in addition, i scanned a coupon x3 points on purchases. it was all good. im always tracking my purchase history in the web, checking points and stuff and i was amazed to make about 1500-2000 for the purchase (due the coupon). a few days later, i decided to return the extra game (that was not part of the bundle) to the store, then the day after, the transaction was removed from my purchase history on my account.
all my other purchases are there, all of them. even the returns that i have maded. except for the bundle i purchase.
i need somebody to help me with this one. As i said it was more than 1.5k points that im losing here (about 30 dllrs equivalent) and im not willing to lose them.
I have tried to report them on the reporting section of the web page, but it says that it doesnt find the transaction.
My transaction pin is (edited per forum guidelines)
    hope someone read this.

    Hi davtor52,
I hope you are having a great day, and welcome to the forum!
The purchase of a PS4 can definitely result in quite a few points, especially if you used a 3X coupon.  I would be wondering what happened too if the purchase and points suddenly disappeared.  After going over your account using the email address you registered with the forum, I was able to determine what happened to the points.
It appears that you have more than one active My Best Buy account and those points are currently pending in your non-primary account.  If the information shared between the two accounts matches exactly, then I should be able to merge them.  That process would involve closing one account, and then moving any unused points/certificates from the closed account to the primary account.
Before I can look into merging your two accounts, I am going to need some additional information from you.  To gather that information and go over your accounts with you, I will be sending you a private message.  You can check your private messages by logging into the forum and clicking on the little yellow envelope at the top of the page.

Thank you for connecting with us and enjoy your PS4.

  • I'm missing points from trade ins.

I'm missing exactly 550 points from trade ins to Bestbuy.Only 110 points of my 660 over the past three months have been credited to my account. I'm not sure how to report the missing points from trade ins. Thank you.

    Hi EM12,
Well, that's no good! Trade-in points can accrue quickly if you make frequent trades, so I can imagine why you'd be concerned.
I'll need to gather some information in order to research this situation on your behalf, so please make sure to check your private messages when you can. To check your PMs, simply sign into the forum and then click on the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page. In the meantime, remember that points earned for any given trade are determined by the base value of each product -- not the grand total after any applicable promotions have been applied.

  • "Victory can be pre-ordered" missing points

on Oct 23rd i preordered two games on bestbuy.com.  Sunset overdrive (xbox one) and Call of Duty: Advance warfare (PS4).  Both games were eligible for the "Victory can be pre-ordered" bonus points yet when i look at my purchase history it would appear that only sunset overdrive received the bonus points.
I had sunset overdrive delivered to me by mail.  Call of duty, I chose to pick up at a store.  I tried to call 888 best buy, but 888 best buy is just horrible.  Everytime i call its over a 20 minute wait, I get someone who barely speaks english and after 30 or more minutes of trying to explain what im calling about the representative tried to tell me that because i preordered both games on the same receipt that only one game gets the bonus points.  I debated that i am able to preorder as many different titles as i like on one receipt and as long as they are eligible for the promotion i should get it for each one. she then stated she would "transfer" to the elite plus hotline which resulted in the call being disconnected.
Who should i contact in regards to the missing points.  I remember in the past there was a specific way to email representatives that handled reward zone issues but I did not see that option anywhere in the mybestbuy account. nor could i find the exclusive number elite plus members should call if they have any concerns.  any and all information is greatly appreciated as well as your time and consideration regarding this matter.

    Hey OmarMendez,
Like enuf mentioned, it typically takes 15-20 days from the time of shipment or pickup for pre-order bonus certificates to post. The associated points may also never appear as pending, and instead simply be listed in your points history on/around the original order date. You'll want to look for an adjustment that says either "Get $10" or "Victory Can Be Pre-Ordered" for each game.
I'd be glad to look into this situation on your behalf as well, so make sure to check your private messages when you can. To check your PMs, simply sign into the forum and then click on the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

  • Applet does not get client certificate from browser (Firefox, IE7)

I'm writing a web service which runs Tomcat through Apache. One critical requirement is that the service be able to invoke certain device drivers on the end user's machine. Fortunately, there is a Java API for this, so this requirement can be fulfilled using an applet.
Here's the problem. This is a B2B application, so we're using SSL and requiring client authentication. I'm no web security guru, but I managed to get SSL set up through Apache (with a self-signed certificate for now; we'll get a real one from a real CA when we're ready to go to production). I also managed to set up client authentication by creating my own CA and generating a client certificate, which I then copied to my test client (Win XPSP2) and imported into both Firefox (2.0.0.15) and IE (6.0.2900). The applet is signed with a real certificate, and that causes no problems. And all of the pages for my web service work as expected.
All except one. The page which is supposed to load the applet pops a dialog stating 'Identification required. Please select certificate to be used for authentication', and presents a list of zero certificates.
Actually, I get this dialog in Firefox on my XPSP2 box, and also when I test on a Vista Home Premium box running IE 7.0.6000. Puzzlingly, this behavior does NOT occur on my XPSP2 box when running through IE 6.0. It seems that with XPSP2 and IE 6.0, the JVM can manage to obtain the required client certificate from the browser and pass it along to Apache, but the JVM can't do this when running in Firefox or in IE 7.0 on Vista.
I have gone to the Java Control Panel and verified that the 'Use certificates and keys in browser keystore' option is selected on both boxes.
I've done a fair amount of research for this (including in this forum) and see that this appears to be a chronic difficulty with applets. What makes it worse is that I don't think I can use the standard workaround, which is to download the applet from a different host/virtual host, because the applet needs to communicate with the web service. Since we have the additional layer of Tomcat container-managed user authentication, the applet needs to be communicating with the server using the same session token as everything else.
So at this point, I'm stuck. Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Two thoughts (I'm reaching at straws here):
    1) I have the certificate imported in both Firefox and IE as a 'personal' certificate. Is there someplace else I can put it so the JVM will know how to find it? A rather old thread in this forum mentioned something about setting properties in the Java Control Panel, but I see no place in the JCP to specify such properties, so I'm guessing that solution is no longer operative.
    2) I'm using a trick I found on the internet to make the applet load cleanly with both Firefox and IE, namely, I'm using the <OBJECT> tag to specify the applet class and codebase for IE, and then using <COMMENT><EMBED ... /></COMMENT> within the <OBJECT> declaration to specify the information for Firefox. Is there some other way of doing the markup that will give the JVM a hint that it should get a certificate from the browser?
BTW . . . I would hate to drop support for Firefox, but if someone has an IE-only solution, I'll take it. Unfortunately, I reckon a Firefox-only solution would not fly.
    Thanks all.

My applet is also signed by a valid certificate. The question of whether the applet is signed/self-signed/unsigned >isn't an issue --- I just wanted you to make sure the Applet runs because it is a know valid Java2 Applet that is 100% signed properly and verified to run.
This eliminates the possibility that it is a JVM issue. However after reading your message further I am afraid
it is not relevant to your issue.
due to the client authentication, my browser (Firefox, IE7) refuses to even download the applet.
I went to your site, and I can see your applet in both Firefox and IE6. However, I don't believe your site is set up >quite like mine, because it appears I can run your applet whether I have imported your X509 certificate or not. What I >did was:If that is true we are all dead :) No I think you just missed the cert in the IE databse. It doesn't have to be in the
    Applet database to function. Surprise!
Check your IE/tools/internet options/content tab/certificates/trusted root certification authorities.
I then opened the Java control panel and verified that the certificate isn't listed there, either. So unless the certificate >is being cached/read from some other location (which could be, this certificate stuff is largely black magic to me), >then your server isn't requiring client authentication, either accidentally or by design. No HyperView is a valid java2 Applet and actually writes to a file "hyperview.dat" though it is probably empty.
If you click on a component in the view and then on the view and type "dumpgobs" it shoud write out some data about the current graphics objects so you can see it has complete read/write access..
Further it opens up a complete NIO server ands starts listening for connections on a random port
(Echoed in your java console) You can connect to it with telnet and watch impressive ping messages all day :)
This all goes back to a few years BTW back before there was a plugin and there was only Netscape & IE.
There are actually 2 certificate databases and what loads where depends on which type of cert you are using. Now self signed or not doesn't matter but what does matter is the type of certificate. IE: is it RSA/DSA/Sha1
etc. The Netscape DB was a Berkley DB and MS used whatever they use. The Cert is a DSA/Sha1 cert
which I like the best ATM as it (X fingers it stays so) always has worked.
Sadly that tidbit doesn't help you either I am afraid.
What I'm trying to do is require client authentication through Apache by including the following markup in a virtual >host definition:
    SSLCACertificateFile D:/Certificates/ca.crt
    SSLVerifyClient require
SSLVerifyDepth 1You got me there I avoid markup at all costs and only code in C java and assembler :)
Now unless I am wrong I think you are saying that you want the Applet to push the certificate to the server
automatically and I don't think this happens. Least I have never heard of this happening from an Applet automatically.
On my client machine, I have a certificate which was generated using OpenSSL and the ca.crt file listed. Testing >shows that the server is requiring a certificate from the client, and the web browser is always providing it.
The problem is that when the browser fires up the Java plugin to run an applet, there is not sufficient communication >between the browser and the plugin so that the plugin can obtain the certificate from the browser and provide it to >the server.
So the server refuses to send the applet bytecode to the JVM, and we're stuck. In terms of implementation ease I think you may have the cart before the horse because I think it would be far easier to run an Applet in the first place to do the authentication, and then send, for example, a jar file to bootstrap and run
(or some classes) in the event the connection is valid. Then again one never knows it all and there may be some classes which enables the plugin as you wish. I have never heard of this being done with the plugin the way you suggest.
I am thinking maybe there is another method of doing this I do not know.
Did you try pushing the cert via JavaScript/LIveConnect?? That way it could run before the Applet and do the authentication.
Maybe someone else has other ideas; did you try the security forum??
Sorry but I am afraid that is not much help.
I did snarf this tidbit which may have some relevance
The current fix for this bug in Mantis and 1.4.1_02 is using JSSE API, Here are the step:
In Java control panel, Advanced tab -> Java Runtime Parameters, specify:
-Djavax.net.ssl.keyStore=<name and path to client keystore file>
-Djavax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword=<password to access this client keystore file>
If it is a PKCS12 format keystore, specify:
    -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStoreType=PKCS12
In our future JRE release 1.5, we will create our own client authentication keystore file for JPI and use that for client authentication, for detail info, please see RFE 4797512.

  • Missing points too

I am missing points for $600 in purchases. What do i need to do?
When I go to add the receipts it tells me the transaction was laready added, but the points aren't there.

    Hi theaberlin0002,
Thank you for connecting with us on the forum.
I pulled up your information using the email address you registered with the forum, and from what I can see, you currently have two My Best Buy accounts.  That would explain why it appears the points are missing and why BestBuy.com says the purchases in-question are already attached to an account.  I would suggest we look into possibly merging the two accounts so it is easier for you to keep track of your points and certificates.
If the information associated with each account matches, then I should have no problem merging them.  Any points/certificates in the secondary account would transfer over to the primary account following the merge.  I will need some information from you before I can move forward, so please send me a private message with the information listed below.  You can send a private message by clicking on the blue button found in my signature.

  • Missing Points "Issued points"

    HI,
I recently made a purchase at my local best buy (10/30/14), I also used a 3X points coupon with it. I checked my points today and it says that my points from my last purchase (10/30/14)  was issued but its not showing on my total point.
I tried to "report missing points" but keeps saying "this transaction has already been added to your account"
I add all my point since the last time I issued a certificate and certainly Im missing the last transaction i made from BB.
I would like to know where I can email BB Elite plus rewards customer service to address this issue?
I had a similar problem before, I was able to get it fix via email. now i cant find those emails in my inbox.
    Thanks for any help!

Greetings rstyle2014, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,
It can usually take up to 20 days for points to post to a member's My Best Buy™, and if your purchase took place on 10/30/2014, then the 20th day would actually be today.  I attempted to look over your account to see if the coupon was scanned properly, but was unable to do so using the email address you registered with the forum.
With that being said, please feel free to send me a private message if the 3X points do not post to your account by the end of the day and I will see what I can do to help.  You can send a private message with the below information by clicking on the blue button in my signature labeled "Private Message."

  • Weblogic Start script fails while Loading trusted certificates from jks

    Hi,
I have a Weblogic Portal 10.3.2 installation on a Solaris Unix box. There is one Admin server and two Managed servers. I am trying to deploy an EJB based application on one of the Managed servers. Note that this application has been working fine in the Weblogic 9.2 environment.
When the Managed Server is started, I get the below messages in the Weblogic console log. We have an internal SSO authentication system, which is integrated with this application. When this integration is removed, we are able to login to the application without any issues. When it is turned on, the redirection from SSO to the application fails - most likely because of the below SSL related errors.
I have accessed the below link and accordingly set the property -Dweblogic.ssl.JSSEEnabled=true. But it didn't help.

Note: We have another Solaris Unix box, with the same installation of Weblogic with the same SSO redirection, but another EJB application is deployed. Also, there is no Managed and the application is deployed on the Admin server itself. But when the server is started, I don't see any attempts to load any certificates and also there are no issues.
So either please suggest how this certificate loading can be rectified or suggest a way to disable the certificate loading (if at all its an option).

  • Missing Points, getting Error when trying to Report missing points.

I recently made an in store purchase, paid with my best buy credit card, but was asked for and even confirmed my best buy info for my account at the register. The reciept does not show my member id, nor does my account show the points pending or otherwise.
The date of purchase was 08/01/2014, more than enough time has passed for them to atleast show up as pending on the account.
I did recieve the terrms and conditions via email for my warranty purchased on this reciept, so I know my member ID was indeed used during the transaction, but did not appear on the reciept for whatever reason.
I'd be more than happy to provide the customer service pin via a PM, just need to know who to send it to. The email address for my best buy account, is the same one used for the account here.

    Hi Veroku_Chan,
I pulled up your account information and can see the purchase that you made back on 8/1/2014.  That purchase is currently pending in your account; however, it appears that you actually have two active My Best Buy™ accounts.  With that being said, I would suggest that we merge the two accounts together.  The merge process would involve closing one account, and then moving any unused points/certificates from the closed account to the active primary account.
Before I can merge your accounts, I am going to need some additional information from.  To gather that information and further discuss a merge, I will be sending you a private message.  You can check your private messages by first logging into the forum and clicking on the yellow envelope at the top of the page.

  • Report missing point for purchases at Pacific Sales

    Hi,
I forgot to give My Best Buy™ account to the sales asscociate for the purchase order. How to associate My Best Buy™ account with my purchase order at Pacific Sales within best buy store? I don't have the Customer Service Pin number on my receipt to add my missing points on Report Missing Points page, and I don't see the options for Pacific Sales or sales number.
Please let me know how I can attach my purchase order to My Best Buy™ account.
    Thank you

Good morning dkz640, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,
If your My Best Buy account was not attached to your Pacific Sales purchase when it was processed, then points are unlikely to post on their own.  In most cases you should be able to report a purchase as "missing" on BestBuy.com if it was not attached to your account; however, a purchase made from one of our Pacific Sales or Magnolia stores cannot be reported online, which means we may need to see if points can be added a different way.
I would like to go over your My Best Buy account with you to ensure it is up-to-date and to gather some additional information, so I will be sending you a private message.  You can check your private messages by logging into the forum and clicking on the little yellow envelope located at the top of the page.  I look forward to further speaking with you.

  • Missing Points of my big order past 4 months and not resolved yet

    Hello,
I am an Elite Customer of Best Buy and have lots of product past few years.
I have bought order of more than $10,000
ISSUE: MY REWARDS POINTS ARE MISSING. It's being 4 months and I haven't got a single point from this order. Even with Elite Membership, if I have this issue, what others would be going through.
It's easy to make customer that me happy. Just issue the missing points to my account.
I am not able to use "missing my points" page as its giving errors and over the phone I am not getting help as most of the representatives can't help me.
I don't want to lodge complain in BBB regarding this small issue. Hope this would be resolved ASAP and hoping to get the answer and missing points in a short time.
    Khozema

    Hi Khozema,
I hope you are having a great day, and welcome to the Best Buy forum!
A purchase of more than $10,000 could definitely result in a lot of points, so I can understand questioning why the points may not have posted to your My Best Buy™ account as of yet.  Being that the purchase was of such a large amount, I would assume it was made at one of our Magnolia or Pacific Sales stores.  The points for a Magnolia or Pacific Sales purchase should generally post within 20 to 35 days after any scheduled deliveries have been completed.
I was unable to find any $10,000 purchases using your name or email address, so I am going to need some additional information from you.  To gather that information and go over your My Best Buy™ account with you, I will be sending you a private message.  You can check your private messages by logging into the forum and clicking on the little yellow envelope at the top of the page.  I look forward to further speaking with you.
Thank you for taking the time to post to the forum and for being a My Best Buy™ member. :smilehappy:

  • ACS 5.2 / WLC - EAP-TLS Certificate from 2 CA

    Hello,
I'm Newbie with ACS equipment, i'm trying to implement it to secure our WIFI environment.
One wifi SSID is broadcasted on a site, I would like to authenticate WIFI client through machine certificate.
The big deal is that some client computer belong to an AD (AD1) and having its own CA1. Other client computer belong to another AD (AD2) also having its own CA (CA2). (With no relation or between the 2 CA)
So computer1 having machine certificate from CA1 and computer2 having machine certificate from CA2
I have imported the root certificate from the both CA into the "certificate authorities" store of the ACS.
I have generated certificate signing request, one for each CA. Then I have binding the CA signed certificate.
After configuring... the access services (identity, authorization...) and so on  I have the following issue:
    - Computer with certificate from the CA1 can connect without any problem.
    - Computer with certificate from the CA2 can NOT connect:
         - After investigation: the client computer do not trust the server ACS and reject the connection
         - Error return :
RADIUS Status:Authentication failed 11514 Unexpectedly received empty TLS message; treating as a rejection by the client
         - (If i get ridd of the option "verify server identity" on wifi optionof the client, the computer can conect: but this option is not acceptable)
         - It seems that the ACS sends only its certificate signed by the CA1
    The questions are:
1- How can I configure the ACS to send the right certificate signed by the right CA corresponding to the computer that is intenting to authenticate
2- I could see in documentation:
"For TLS related EAP protocols, a single local certificate is used to authenticate the server for all the TLS related protocol"
--> Does it mean that we can only configure one local certificate to allow the ACS to authenticate to client for all the EAP-TLS protocol used ?
         --> How can I choose it ?
--> For the current configuration, I have only the certificate signed by the CA which is configure "EAP: Used for EAP protocols that use SSL/TLS tunneling" (i don't know if this option has an impact with the certificate presented by the ACS when it authenticate itself to the client")
Thanks for your helk and your information.
    Guillaume

    Hi Bastien,
it is actually what i did.
The point here i have 2 CA involved, with no relation between them.
So I did the operation twice for each CA :
-> making a certificate signing request, sent it to the CA, signed to by the CA and then imported/binded into the ACS
-> I have added the root CA of each CA into the ACS as well.
The point is when a computer, try to connect, it try to verify ACS server identity. And the ACS server only seems to present the certificate signed from CA1.
So when a computer with certificate machine CA2, try to connect, it doesn't trust the ACS server has the ACS sent its certificate signed by CA1.
I don't know how to allow the ACS to present the right signed certificated depending on the cleint that try to connect.
Then another conf I do not understand is the option:
EAP: Used for EAP protocols that use SSL/TLS tunneling --> in local cetificate, when you add a local certificate to the ACS
I do not undestand what does this option stand for ?
Then I culd see into Cisco do :
"For TLS related EAP protocols, a single local certificate is used to authenticate the server for all the TLS related protocol"
Doest it means that the ACS can use only one single certificate for All the TLS protocol configured in the ACS, to authenticate itself to the client?
Or does the ACS can use a diferent local certificate from each dedicated eap-tls protocol?
    thx

  • Import VPN admin certificate from RV016 to RV042

    Hello,
I've configured VPN to use quickVPN for RV016. The VPN connection works fine. I'm going to install the second SB router RV042
in the same location in order the users should use RV042 instead of RV016. My Question is, is it possible to export the admin
certificate from RV016 Router and import it on RV042 to avoid sending the client certificate of the RV042 to users? If it works then
I need only to replace the ip address on the clients and they connect to RV042 Router.
    Many Thanks and best regards
    nevzat

    Hi Nevzat,
Thank you for posting. I believe that every router creates a unique certificate and a certificate from one router will not work with another. The whole point of the certificate is to warn the end user (client) that they may be connecting to the wrong router. If the same certificate worked for multiple routers it would defeat the purpose.
