Missing Portlet Main Banner

The current Content Area Portlet included with Portal 3.0.8 works fine except that it does not include the "Main Banner" nor the "Sub Banner". This means that portlet users do not have access to either the "Edit/View folder" function nor the current folder name.
My customer would like some users to have item upload capability. What are my choices without these banners? I can access the content area in "full page" mode and have the banners available. But this is undesirable since we would like the content area to stay "in the portlet" in order to maintain portal context. I might be able to switch the edit/view function from another portlet on the same page, and have determined the correct method for passing the p_edit and p_mode parameters to redraw the multiple portlet page correctly. This seems a complex solution for what may become a common problem.

We are working on this capability for the 3.0.9 release due out in May. In that release, we expose an 'edit' link in folder portlets which allows users with appropriate privileges to add items directly in the portlet without navigating tot the full page view.

Portlet Main Banner links

Does anyone know how to turn off the main banner link in a contentr area portlet. We want to stop the user drilling into the content area itself but simply use the links displayed in the content area.

You can edit the style for your content area and set the banner height for the main banner to 0. This will make the main banner disappear altogether.
You can control the region banner and group by banners from within the individual item types for that style if you want.
On one of our implementations, we created our own folder 'banners' by creating an image in each folder and giving it the type of the topmost image. This kept the banner from showing and gave an image that the customer liked at the top of the folder area.
Note that if you change the banner height, if you need to do any editing in that folder, you have to change the banner height back to a number greater than 0 so you can get to the edit link.

How to get rid of the missed call notification banner? - galaxy s3

Has anyone found a way to get rid of - that is, keep it from EVER being displayed - the missed call notification banner on the lockscreen? Hey mayor360, I know that would concern me a bit too having my missed call notifications being shown while my device is locked. I have done some reasearch on my end and have found that for many users have been using 3rd party applications just as you have. If after the update your specific application started to not function we can try to reset the device to ensure there are no software issues and then install the application once more. Edit the IDM Main Banner / Create own banner, with text and logo

I would like to edit/modify/customize the IDM Main Front-Page Banner, and replace it with my own text (possibly images, and/or company logo)
It's probably not possible to totally replace the *"Sun Microsystems Identity Manager"* banner. But, at least, I'd like to remove a part of it, and replace it with, say, my own custom text/image/, or my company logo.
How could I do this?

perhaps, I'm doing something wrong.
I have made modifications to the *"customStyle.css"* file, but nothing has any effect.
Should I be downloading this file from somewhere to somewhere? Or, should I be "commenting-out" some of the code in the file itself?
My IDM instance is simply ignoring the changes/modifications I am making to this file. Obviously, I am not doing something I should be doing.
Any tips, please?

Audio missing from main menu?

I don't know what I did, but there is no audio playing on my main menu! It does not matter if I change themes. I have audio on the submenus and slideshows. What can I do to get my audio to play on my main menu again!

itunes volume control DOES control the volume of my external speakers
which are attached to a ProSonus FireBox.

However, the main Mac MenuBar sound control slide bar does not control
the sound itunes or these websites AND the MenuBar sound control slide
bar does not control either my internal or external speakers.
Sound Control panel Input Panel is set at the PreSonus FireBox (0260)
device with mic setttings at mid level and the master output volume set
about 1.5 units up with "show volume in menu bar" box checked and Mute box clear of checkmarks.
The Sound Control Panel Output panel is set at Presonus FireBox (0260)
with the master output volume set at 1.5 units with "show show volume in menu bar" box checked and Mute box clear of checkmarks. Controlling the slider
from the Sound Control Panel DOES control the slider in the Mac MenuBar
but not the sound.
The fact that sound is coming out of the firebox indicates sound from itunes
and web site sound links IS being redirected from the internal speakers to the firebox and then the firebox is redirecting the sound to the external speakers.
However, the volume control at the mac is not sending out a lower
signal to the firebox or the firebox is not responding to the lower signal
or something else has control over the volume control.
There are two clues. The volume control of itunes DOES work and the
manual control of the Firebox is working.
Another interesting observation is that the "Sound Effects" panel of the Sound Control Panel does appear to work correctly; the alerts are supposed to
work through the internal speakers (as the drop down list box is selected that
way) and the Master volume does limit the alert volume. But I find it interresting
that the Master volume is coupled to the internal speakers when the Master Volume should be coupled to the firebox (and then through to the external speaakers).

IMac G5 serial number missing after main logic board replacement!?

After replacing the main logic board on a 15-days old brand new iMac G5 2 GHz 20-inch TFT, the computer serial number no longer shows on" Apple ()/About this Mac" or on "System Profiler/Hardware Overview/Serial number".
As far as I know that is normal, but my question is: is there a way to show the serial number (old or new) again? Resetting the Firmware perhaps?

I got a new serial number sticker to put on the stand base. It also inckuded the new MAC Address for network use.
I would call and see if they can send you one.

But since techs are not themselves given (allowed) too much information, my feeling is that some of them do things in a different way, depending on how they understand it.
AASPs and Specialists do not alter serial number information in any way whatsoever, including transfer or assignment of serial number to new components. They are not given the proper tools to do it, and thus aren't supposed to hop into NetInfo or a text editor and change language project strings.
The French serial number assigned erroneously to that fellow's board got there because it was a refurbished board whose original serial number had never been wiped or Apple themselves assigned the wrong number, not because an inattentive service tech did anything wrong.
Now, if some service tech DID decide to take it upon himself or herself to hack a serial number there, you still need to contact Apple, 'cause that isn't supposed to happen, and you still don't have a proper serial attached to the board.
Believe me on this one.

I have determined that there will be be an edit link included in the Content Area Portlet in the 3.0.9 release due out in May. This leaves open the question of support for parameter passing for out-of-the-box portlets. Will (Is) this supported?

Error Running Reports as Portlet in Oracle AS 10g

#First, I create the report server using Reports Server Access Portlet (Administration> Oracle Reports Security Setting)
When defining the Server Name and Printers, I fill the fields like this:
Display Name : MY_REPORTS_SERVER

Mail Missing From Restore

Hello, We are having some issues with missing mail (mainly in Inbox, Sent and Trash) from a restore process. Several users' mail was inadvertently deleted on the mail server. We figured out who the users were and set about restoring their mail from our Tivoli backups.
A "reconstruct" was done once the restore was complete, and everything appeared consistent. However, users are missing mail in their desktop client (thunderbird). But we can see the mail (message count) on the server.
The problem seems to be that after a mailbox has been restored from tape, the iPlanet reconstruct command does not like the store.idx file and deletes most of the messages.
Is there a piece we're missing? We've restore mail folders for users in the past with no problems of this sort. I don't think we've ever had to restore the full mail for a user.
We're running an old version ... waiting for a migration this spring.

Running reconstruct of this new folder will then cause the restored emails to show up and the user then just needs to subscribe to the folder in their IMAP client.
If you were using imsbackup/imsrestore this problem wouldn't have occurred as imsrestore marks the emails as "new".
The problem seems to be that after a mailbox has been restored from tape, the iPlanet reconstruct command does not like the store.idx file and deletes most of the messages.If you restore a folder, and the backup was taken after the email had already been marked-as-deleted by the email client then the email will remain "deleted". The *.msg files aren't cleaned up until the daily imexpire run.
Later versions of Messaging Server have an option to "undelete/expunge" messages that have been deleted by the client by not removed off disk.

Problem scanning for missing channels

Hi all.
Trying to scan for missing channels, mainly BBC2, and get as far as 72% - 3 mins reamining and the setup freezes.
I did contact Baombay Hight St., yesterday, but could hardly understand to bloke. He did tell me to do a couple of things to the box, but I couldn't make him understand that I am disabled and could n't get to the back of the box. I also tried to explain to him that I didn't know when I was going to see anyone who could help, as I live on my own and vary rarey see anyone who could help.
Any one any solutions?

No main method error

Hello I'm using net beans v4, and I'm getting an error after I compile and try to run my code
It says that my .java is missing a main method, I'm lost

I dont know what the main method is or what goes in it.

hmm ok..well I remember seeing that in one of the other versions that I had created of my project
but it was giving me errors at compile time...it would underline all the code after that line...
The error was saying that all the labels and command buttons I had on the form (that were automatically put in the code, in that light blue area) didn't have an interface.
What does that mean?

Missing items in the IDoc for the delivery

Sorry if not posting in the right forum.
In my customer's scenario, an IDoc is created against a delivery (via the delivery output), and sent via ALE to a distant warehouse system, for picking and GI posting (basic type SHPMNT03).
For some times, the IDoc created against deliveries including BOMs is missing the main item of the BOM (though the BOM main item is in the delivery).
Consequently, the integration in the distant system is failing, because the higher-level item referenced in the BOM sub-items is missing.
Surprisingly, re-triggering the delivery output does re-generate a complete IDoc, where the segment for the main item is back.
I looked almost everywhere, did many searches in OSS (on SHPMNT03, on HIPOS, on E1ELD24 - segment name in the IDoc -, on "Missing items in the IDoc for the delivery", etc...), I even simply googled the web, but I can't even figure out what is the cause for this (I imagined it could be caused by a missing commit in the program generating the IDoc, but don't know whether this make sense).
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Jelena is right, you are better off taking it up with SAP. I also did not find any relevant OSS notes.
However the issue, according to my reading, is in the following areas:
1) LV56KF05: INCLUDE LV56KF62 . " FILL_E1EDL24"
This fills the EIEDL24 segment, may be the main item is filled initially and overwritten later.
2) Function Module: IDOC_OUTPUT_DELVRY
You can look at the following OSS notes (though not fully relevant) for some clues:
810981 - Reference data missing in DESADV IDoc from decentralized WMS
537470 - BOM + batch split in decentralized WMS, confirmation fails
752921 - VL563: Higher-level item does not exist
705086 - Higher-level item does not refer to existing item

Space between portlets

Using top HTML portlets for banner and left side HTML portlet for menu how I can make it look seamless? Currently I have 2 pix spacing between portlets.

This is a bug/feature which has been changed in 3.0.8 (Oracle9iAS MR2) due out this week. In previous releases, we hard coded the spacing. In this release, we let you define it in the region properties.
