Missing qt and emacs from sync database

I'm trying to install AL on my laptop, got through fine until I tried install KDE. Qt is missing from the sync database and therefore installation can't continue. I have AL installed on my desktop and searched for Qt after a pacman -Sy. No result for the Qt package is found. This is also the case for emacs. This is probably an oversight by the package managers but just wanted to let you guys know.

i deleted the folder and did a pacman -Sy again. And then did a pacman -S qt and results in
qt: not found in sync db
I use the Server = ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/current/os/i686 for my updates
Do you see the package after you sync?
****I changed the Server to one of the European mirrors. I found it there. I guess qt is not available on the ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/current/os/i686 server ******

How do I prevent my contacts, emails and files from syncing to my daughters iphone but continue to have the apps sync?

I recen't bought my daughter an iphone 4 and I have a 5. I want to prevent my contacts/email ect from syncing to her phone (and hers to mine) but still have all the apps and other things sync. Is there a way to do this? We have the same itunes and icloud account. I'm not sure if they are the same thing or completely seperate entities. I'm pretty apple illiterate and really need instructions in layman's terms. LOL

A couple of options:
Create a new AppleID for her and set up iCloud on it. Login to that account on her device (Settings app > iCloud) but leave the iTunes&App Store account as is. (I have this set up on my wife's iPhone).
OR
If either of you do not need to synch items, turn them off in icloud (Settings App > iCloud). Emails should not synch unless you have the same email accounts set up (Settings App > Mail,Contacts,Calendars)

EXPDP and IMPDP from existing database to new 'scratch' database

Hi All,
THis is the first time i'm trying to export and import (using datapump) from one database into a brand spanking new database.
Source/Target OS - WIndows 2008 R2 Standard
Source/Target - Oracle 11G Release 2 (same patch updates - 11.2.0.3.3)
I took a full expd of the source database.
I created the same directory structure on the target as the source. I created an empty database on the target server with the same name as the source.
I am trying to use impdp to import this full export into the target database, with the end goal being everything is the same on the target as it is on the source (users, tablespaces, data, schemas, etc...).
I am running into some errors (object already exists, a few others to mention). But my question is, is this a proper way of copying a database from one server to a new server?

Missing QT and ProRes from CC and CC2014 Since On Line Adobe Tech Support

I am missing QT and ProRes settings from Pr CC and Pr CC2014. I have successfully downloaded the settings for AME and they show up in both versions. This is direct result of a previous tech support activity inside my computer for another issue and it appears the QT elements were accidentally left out and need to be put back in. FCP7 is and has always been installed so QT is in the machine and for 2 years until this week were available in Pr so this is new since the last tech service. Mac Pro 5.1, OSX 10.9.4

Then I type and select the text that I want to hyperlink.

click OK.
So, let's say I have 100 hyperlinks, and I need to add a new one, but the new one needs to go in the 51st spot. So, I complete all
the above steps. When I export from InDesign to Acrobat, the 51st link now repeats from 51 through 100.
The only way for me to correct the error is to delete the hyperlinks (not the destinations) 51 through 100 from the palette and re-create them.
I've attached both the PDF and the ID file for your consideration.

Why not generating adf bc projects and components from offline database

I imported offline database objects from my production database that is big. I would like designing some business components without necessarily the database running and be connected.
Is it a reason why an adf bc project may necessarily connect to an on line database ?
Why it is not possible to generate adf bc components from off line database objects ?

The ADF BC design time has always required a database connection, to be able to test the validity of expert-mode SQL statement for one reason, but not the only one. We have not lifted that requirement in the 11g release.

I was able to find a solution: My problem was caused from a loss of data when trying to save it to the databse. I eneded up placing a byte[] into a "|" delimited string and then saving it to the database. I could have probably used Java encoding and decoding but I was loosing time.
Any thoughts on how to save a serialized object to a MSSQL database?
What data type should the database use?
What is the best way to the class to the database without loosing data?

How to delete calender and contacts from Sync?

Hi,
I tried to sync my cals and contacts with iPhoneMacMobileMe, and there are always duplicated. So I decided to sync everything over mobileMe only (iPhone MobileMe and MacMobileMe). I unselected the checkboxes in iTunes to sync theses data with iPhone. But on the iPhone, there's still data from last syncs - both from calender and contacts. How can I remove those from the iPhone, so that only mobileMe calenders and contacts are shown?

I just, 30 minutes ago, learned, I think, the answer to that. I tried it and it worked for me. I had duplicate events and "sets" of calendars.
Delete the MobileMe account on the iPhone.
Restart the iPhone.
Add the MobileMe account back and turn on Calendar and Contact syncing.
You'll be asked if you want to merge the data. Tap yes.
This should, after a few minutes, set you up with only one set of calendars and contact groups.
Sync only over MobileMe and don't via iTunes.

Is it possible to retrieve missing files and folders from lightroom?

Can anyone help me please? I was in the process of editing a folder took a break for dinner. I did the normal close the window ( it did not ask me to back up sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't ) and then shut off my computer. I turned it back on and opened Lr and my last 4 photo sessions are gone ! This is the 3rd time this has happened to me, if i wasn't almost 50 images into this edit id say nbd but i've shown sneak peek previews of already edited images that she'll be expecting off her 7 yes 7 children 3 of which are premie identical triplet boys. They are a one in a million senario i dont want to be responsible for any disappointment to this lovely family! Please help me if you know how i cant imagine starting over on this one!

LR normally performs a catalog backup unless you changed it. That backup would be in the "Lightroom" folder in My Pictures, again unless you previously changed it. Go to the Catalog settings > general. This will tell you how often the catalog is backed up. Click the "Show" button to see where the main catalog is. Open that folder and you should see a "Backup" folder. If your LR has been set to periodically backup, you should see the latest backup catalog. This may be what you will need to use if the main catalog is indeed missing. The latest session may not be there, depending on how often your LR was set to backup.

Removing account and files from mail database

Hey all - I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to administering mail on os x leopard server. i am in the process of migrating from courier to osx mail service and one of my concerns is that i do not know to remove a users e-mail. in otherwords, what else do i have to do other than to delete the user from workgroup manager to make their mail go away. i've monkeyed around and found that even if i delete them from WM their mail information sticks around.

Maybe you try to put yourself in the position of somebody helping hundreds of users. I don't think my time is particularly well spent in looking up links that are easily found with a a tiny bit of effort. (The download link is about 1/3 down the page I linked to above). The link and instructions/tips on using it are also present in several discussion topics on this board.
I usually even answer questions which have been asked over and over again, as I fully understand that it is not always easy to find information and sometimes an answer might sound different when given in a different context. Especially to those that don't have much experience with servers.
But when somebody is too lazy to find information and then considers me a ... and passive-agressive because I pointed out that googling it would have helped, I can only shake my head.

After removing photos and videos from sync, they stil appear on my blackberry

I'm on a Mac, and when I run blackberry desktop software, the program does what I want it to do. Afterwards, however, if, in the blackberry desktop software manager, I deselect certain videos and music files, then run another sync, those videos and photos still remain on my blackberry device. Is this a bug, or is there something that I'm failing to do? Thanks.

Found the answer if anyone else is looking: Remove the battery for 30 seconds and the problem disappears.

Can internet speed affect itunes and nano from syncing properly

Got the nano for christmas and everything worked good for a while...then every problem you could imagine ..then it was ok.... then it wasn't...and on and on...we had the problems all of them!...literally........wondering now if my internet speed lags at times causing it all when we connect to either download purchased music or load in our own cd's making syncing unsyncable!!the nano tries to sync but noooooo!....we are sympatico basic lite internet,between dial-up and DSL.......thanks to anyone who has any thoughts

I would say "no". Generally speaking, you don't download music (or whatever) AND sync your iPod at the same time. My guess is your problems have probably been related to either your firmware version (you should be on 1.0.3 now) or whatever ELSE your computer was doing at the time, so you might try closing ALL other apps (including internet browsers) when in iTunes.

Can Verity/Solr index files AND columns from db into one resultset?
