Missing records run in the background

Hi,
I am working on an ABAP interface with the date, payroll area and wage type parameters. The interface runs fine in the foreground and background. When I run the interface in the background, check the spool request, find a section of records missing. In the foreground, using the same parameters the records show up.
I have thorougly checked the code, applied clear and refresh statements for the internal tables and so on. What am I missing? Do I need to change the spool parameters that is restricting to generate the pages on the spool? The count of the number of records both in the foreground and background are same. I am not finding the last section of records in the background that I find while running the process in foreground.

That is true, you will have to do that even if you want to download it to a spreadsheet. But if you don't want to look at it but download only, you can do that from the previous screen only (where you see a checkbox, the spool number and the number of pages etc). Simply check the box, and then in the menu "Spool Request>Forward>Export As Text". But the issue with this option is that it will only download as text file and only to your local SAP GUI default directory.

Hi, So today I downloaded the Skype for desktop version in Windows 8.1, because the metro verson is not available anymore. It doesn't make much a difference to me, however I don't like that I now have to see Skype on my taskbar all the time as an open program. I would like to have it running in the background in case I am getting any messages or calls, but I would like to only have it visible in the notifications area, not on the taskbar. Is there a settings that I am missing?

How do i pause/stop something running in the background?

I'll try to give as many details as I can:
I am using an auto clicker program (quick keys x), and I copied and pasted 150 or so of the same mouse recording, each lasting around 5 minutes. I want them to run, but I need to know how to pause them whenever. I didn't change any of the hot key options or anything. The program that is up and running (that I see listed in the top left corner) is google chrome. I want that to stay up while the auto clicker is running. The top right has a thing with a Q, pause symbol, and a stop symbol. That's where it's running, and I want to know how to pause that (or stop if neccesary) without closing google chrome at all.
If you have any questions on the situation, please ask, I need all the help I can get!

I usually just kill the process. If I know a specific app is running in the background, say "iPhoto", and I can't close it normally, I open a terminal and type:
ps -A | grep iPhoto
then i kill the proccess id with:
kill -9 ###
where ### is the process id. you might need to add a sudo before that if root access is required:
sudo kill -9 ###

Streaming Flash 'corrupted' unless Applian is running in the background

After installing the Applian FLV player (and subsequently the Ask and Record Toolbar), I have had a very strange problem.
Any youtube video plays like it is corrupted - very slowly, distorted sound etc.
I have tried uninstalling both the Player and Toolbar, but the problem persists.
I have resintalled Flash from Adobe too, but the problem persists.
Then I noticed something strange - if I have the Applican player open (but not playing anything) in the background, then Flash videos play correctly?!?!?
Any thoughts on resolving this?

I'm facing this same problem. My usage time and standby time are both at 1 hour 10 minutes right now even though my phone was in sleep mode for the past 30 minutes. I've noticed this issue since upgrading to OS 4 but i'm using a 3G so there is no multi-tasking on my device. I know it isn't a low signal issue because I have a very strong cell signal at home. It isn't the mail app either since the last updated time was over 45 minutes ago when I last checked my mail. The only solution I've found for this is a hard reset (home button+sleep/wake button held down for 10 seconds). I don't believe that iPhone apps are "like a computer" because all apps from the AppStore are first approved by Apple and any apps that run in the background/leak memory are supposed to be rejected. I was hoping that iOS 4.1 would fix this issue but seeing that you're running ver 3 this clearly isn't only an iOS 4 problem. Hopefully somebody at Apple will catch this post and be able to provide an answer because I've had no luck trying to isolate the problem so far!!

How to you stop the health app running in the background?

How to you stop the new Health App from running in the background? Its its always running collecting data on how many steps I have taken and how far I have walked.. I walked 12000 steps and travelled 4.1km DRIVING my kids to school this morning according to the app.

I never intend to use the health app because I do not need an app on my phone to help me live a healthy lifestyle. Therefore I find it intrusive there is no way to stop it from tracking my steps or whatever else it may be doing. I found a way to force the app to crash and maybe this will stop it from running in the background. Open the app, tap "Health Data" at the bottom of the screen, tap "Fitness" then "Steps" and tap "Add Data" type in a huge number - a very huge number with 30 or more characters, you can even add more than 1 decimal point. Repeat this for "walking + Running Distance". From this point forward the app will crash when you try to look at the data. Maye this prevents it from recording new data, I'm not sure but I really like the fact the app crashes. Hopefully Apple will add a feature to allow us to turn off data collection altogether or even better, allow us to delete this app.

I have a 2008 iMac with 2GB memory. How do I find out what programs are running in the background? I am going to buy a new iMac before the end of the year to replace this one. When I looked at Activity Monitor it shows 1.8Gb used but doesn't tell all the programs running.

Adobe Bridge not running in the background

I have bridge setup to load and run in the background when I start windows. However it doesn't run in the background but launches and runs as normal.the icon does not load in the control panel as does other programs that load and run in the background. Running a 64bit windows 7 machine

When I click on a new link, it opens a whole new firefox instead of using my default which is running in the background

I have firefox as my default browser. Anytime I click on an email or search for something, instead of opening my default browser, firefox loads a new firefox page. It is a blank page just as if I had never had one. It has nothing on it except how you would start out before you set up your tabs and history etc. My default firefox is still there running in the background but I must click on it and manually put in the link I was trying to open.
Any suggestions.

Can the width of a report that has been run in the background be increased?

How can I increase the width of a report that I have run in the background so that it does not wrap text to the next line?
I have been running the same HR report successfully in the background for many months. Today I ran it with the same parameters that I've always used and when I retrieve it from my Own Job Spool - System | Own Spool Request | Display Contents the last field is wrapped to the next line.

Thereu2019s another possibility if Tedu2019s suggestion doesnu2019t work. When you look at your spool requests, thereu2019s an icon on the toolbar next to the eyeglasses that looks like a yellow rectangular callout. Itu2019s called u201CDisplay in Maximum Widthu201D. Select the Spool no. to display and then press this icon. Shift + F4 is the shortcut.

The Porblem here is the application is seen started in visual administrator.Only restart brings up the page back.

The figures you mention only make sense on your intranet. Are you still using the same wireless router. The verizon one is somewhat limited as far as max wireless-n performace. For one thing it only has a 2.4 radio. I like many people who wanted wireless-n performance before they even added a wireless-n gigabit router, have my own handling my wireless-n network.

That's definitely strange, kzmidge. I want a working phone in your hands though. I noticed you mentioned you received the suggestion to complete a reset. Did you already do that? Is it working again? Are you receiving an error message?
If you hesitated a little longer to complete the reset, you can try to place your phone into Safe Mode http://vz.to/rxg0ii and see if you can access mobile sites from your browser. This mode will stop 3rd party applications from running, so you won't be able to use the apps you mentioned but we may be able to narrow down the trouble in Safe Mode. If the mobile sites work, that means the trouble may be in a recently downloaded application and you may be able to avoid the reset my uninstalling some of your more recently installed applications. Report is using fm 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' to display the report. parameters passed to this fm for display are :it_fieldcat,is_layout,it_events,t_outtab.
Page breaks appear in the spool output when report is run in the background.These page breaks needs to be removed. When executed in the background, the excel extract should be the same as if pulling directly from the report itself.
How to remove the page breaks in background?

Can a java program be run in the background?

Can a java program be run in the background without the user being aware of it? I need to make a program that continuosly monitors a pc at regular intervals and runs at all time. It should be hidden(shouldn't display on the screen while running) from the user, and also, can it be run as a system file so that even if a user checks he/she would think of it as a system file?

I'm the administrator of all the computers. Then as I said there are commercial applications that do that.
Presumably you expect a problem now. And implementing an acceptable solution is going to take you months. Because not only need to 'hide' the application, you also need to set up all the monitoring and logging capability. And the first will require quite a bit of JNI work along with testing (in particular as it could interfer with existing applications on the users computers.)

to close the program through the task manager. If the users have admin rights then they can terminate a windows service.
And if they don't have admin rights then you can simply turn off the ability to install anything.

to know what the resources of the computers are and
