Missing reservations in SCM, probably deleted CIF queue records

Dear experts,
Here's a very annoying problem... During initial CIF execution, someone probably deleted some queue records concerning reservations. At least that's what we suspect has happened.
The initial CIF execution was done on 1 April, and the reservations for that day are partially missing in APO.
In ERP, we have table RESB with a certain sum of withdrawal quantity for each product.
In SCM, in product view, the withdrawal quantity in forecast should be exactly the same, but the records for 1 April are not considered in that quantity. For some other products, the allocated quantity differs from ERP as well.
How this inconsistency was created isn't really important now... But has anyone here any idea how to quickly fix the quantities in APO forcast? Like any BAPI or programme or anything?
Thanks a lot!
Jan
P.S: I forgot to mention: The documents in ERP are closed by now, so a new initial CIF execution wouldn't bring the old reservations to APO.

  • Stop CIF queues always during online Backup on SCM system

    Hello,
On Upgrade Guide "SAP SCM 5.1 ABAP UNIX Oracle Version 1.00" under
chapter 3.4 --> Backup before prepare JAVA we found this :
"Before performing a database backup, you have to stop the CIF queues in your
SAP SCM system in order to ensure a consistent recovery state."
Is this relevant for every online backups (also outside from Upgrading)?
Should we stop the CIF queues on daily online backups too? Or is this a special-feature during Upgrade?
    BR
    Ray Purucker

    Hello,
Do you have above said log file available ?
Instead of the option 'Overflow log path', did you try rollforward with the option of timestamp (point in time) (till the time you have the log files) Or with the option overflow log path but with 'NORETRIEVE' as well ?
For the query status command, Last committed transaction time stamp is not what you thought.
    Please revise the command options,
    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/db2luw/v8/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.db2.udb.doc/core/r0001978.htm
'It is looking for log file S0000XXX.LOG whose time stamp is older than the time stamp of online backup.'
If you want to restore only until the online backup, then use the option End of Backup and stop - to rollforward until the last log when backup was in progress

  • CIF : RSTRFCQDS RSTRFCQD DELETE UNWANTED QUEUES - FILTER

    Hi,
We would like to delete some CIF queues in error status in our system.
the report mentionned in the note  Note 763255 - Deleting a TID or a queue, work fine.
but it has  limitation, we want to filter according the error message, meaning that depending on it, the queues should be delete or not.
Does it need to change the stanard report(we did not find this option unfortunately), and customize this standard program or is there a way to do it?
    Thanks

  • Query on CIF Queues

    Hi Apo Experts,
I am having some queries on CIF queues...
    > I am getting below SYSFAIL error in outbound queues at APO Side.
I can see that error text as " Material status does not allow a planned independent " . But there is no material number in the error text. So i double clikced the queue again. then i get the below screen which gives information about LUW , whichj is very very long ....
Q1. How to know the material number in this particular queue ? I have posted the same question in previous post and i got reply that u need to keep clicking the queue until u find material number. I have done the same , but i didnt find any material number. I was getting this LUW Information , which is very long and it is in digital coding .
(""" I have checked these queues in SCM Queue Manager also, and i was unable to find the material numner )
Q2. How to process this Queue again ? Can i maintain the Material Status in ECC Side and process this queue again ?
Q3. One question on LUW. Does all the material numbers which are assigned in one Particular Integration model form a single LUW ??
Suppose i have given 10 materials in a integration model X and another 5 materials in another integration model Y , Then there will be two LUW's .. is it right ??
Q4.  ( this may question may sound stupid but still.... ) .. Outbound queue in APO gets created when we are transferring something from APO to R/3 , and system was unable to process. So due to the error, an Outbound Queue gets created . My question is , If suppose there is a porblem in R/3 side, then whether an Inbound queue gets created at R/3 side ?? Or only Outbound Queue in APO gets created ?? or both gets created ??
I am having above serious doubts and working on the same. Request to kindly provide your inputs .Thanks to all for your time and support. Good Day !!

    Hi Emani,
Below information is based on best of my knowledge and experience, please try and let me know i this helps.
Q1. How to know the material number in this particular queue ? (""" I have checked these queues in SCM Queue Manager also, and i was unable to find the material numner )
    Ans: Please follow below steps
SMQ1/SMQ2 --> double click on queue name ---> again double click on queue name ---> again double click on queue name.
    You will reach on a screen with heading , here you will be able to see material name and other information;
Q2. How to process this Queue again ? Can i maintain the Material Status in ECC Side and process this queue again ?
ANS: This will depend on the error message you are getting under status column, if this is due to some temporary reasons, then you can try executing by pressing execute button , or you might need to delete the queue ---> remove reason of sysfail ---> regenerate the queue.
Q3. One question on LUW. Does all the material numbers which are assigned in one Particular Integration model form a single LUW ??
Suppose i have given 10 materials in a integration model X and another 5 materials in another integration model Y , Then there will be two LUW's .. is it right ??
ANS: Please check below link for more details on qRFC administration
qRFC Administration - Connectivity - SAP Library
Further for different objects different LUWs got formed i.e. Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Stock etc., you  can find more information on qRFC communication model in below link.

ANS: Queues are getting created whenever you transfer some data from one system to another, if there is some issue then the queue doesn't get cleared, it gets stuck.
If you are sending data from ECC to APO then it creates outbound queue in ECC and if it gets cleared then an Inbound queue in APO.
    Hope this answers your query.

This is probably one of the files that is required by the template you are using.
These files are inside the iWeb app. Control click the iWeb app icon and select "Show package contents".
You need to dig down through the folders and files to find what you want...

  • CIF Queue gettign stuck in 'ready' state

    Hi,
I am facing a problem in using CIF functionality while transferrting Master data and transaction data from R/3 to APO.
I have selected inbound queue processing for APO system and have also registered the queue in APO.
But when I actually CIF any data, it gets stuck in the outbound queue of the R/3 system in 'Ready' state.
Then I always need to manually activate the queue in SMQ1 to transfer the data to APO.
The same thing happens during online transfer of transaction data.
I want the data to be transferred automatically rather tahn activating the CIF queue each time.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Ameet

    Hi Ameet
    Please following setting.
    1. User setting
-R/3 T-CD CFC2 (For debuf Area, please check whether your user has "R" or not)
-APO T-CD /SAPAPO/C4 (For debug, please check whether your user has "R : debug on" or not)
    2. Queue scheduler setting in both system
    Inbound scheduler
T-CD SMQR please make sure whether you have inbound scheduler setting.
If there is not, you can create it by hitting Registration button.
"Registration" => Queue Name CF*, and lest of it can be leave as default.
    Outbound scheduler
    T-CD SMQS
Please make sure you have entry to your SCM system.
Type should be "R". If it is not R, outbound scheduler is not activated.
So please select entry and and hit registration button again. Then type will change
    to "R".
I hope this help your problem.

  • Issue - CIF queue for activation of IM requiring manual activation.

    Hi,
For inbound setting, the CIF queue for activation of IM is getting stuck with ready status. Consequently the background job getting failed with time limit exceed status.
The same queue when activated manually, gets cleared. Thus requirng manual intevetion.
Please suggest solution to get rid of this manual intervention.
    Thanks and regards,
    Sushant

    Hi Sushant,
If you use inbound queues check QIN scheduler on SCM side - transaction SMQR.
    From help:
Call transaction SMQR and choose Registration.
Enter the queue name CF* and make the required settings.
EXEMODE: Execution mode (D - Dialog work process; B - Batch work process)
    MAXTIME: Maximum runtime that the QIN scheduler uses for activating a destination;
              default value: 60 seconds
USERDEST: RFC destination with LOGON data. Specification of a logical destination
with its own language on the local
system. This means that the burden of integration can be distributed to a server group.
NRETRY: Number of repetitions for failed calls, default value: 30
RDELAY: Wait time between individual calls, default value: 300

  • Deletion of Queues while upgrading the patches in ECC

    Dear Experts,
We wanted to upgrade our ECC system with the new security patches and during that it is throwing an error.
After analysing the error, found a SAP note  1081287 stating to delete BW queues in SMQ1 inorder to make it succesful.
But as deletion of queues before loading data to BI will miss records.
Is there any other way to take backup of the queues which are not yet loaded to BI before deletion so that without missing any records, I can restore my queues after the upgradation of the patches.
Will be very thankful if anyone responds at the earliest.
    Best Rgds
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
You would need to run the V3 jobs for all applications so that data will be written to the delta queues from the update/extraction queues. Then do delta loads from BW. Then you can clear the queues and no data would be lost.

  • Many CIF queues in READY status

    Hello Experts,
We have currently 30,000 CIF queues in our production system in READY status and those are stuck since long.I tried program RSQOWKEX to process queues. Its working for one queue at a time but not many at one shot if i give CIF*.
    Please please suggest.
    BR,
    Nisha

    Nisha,
I will assume you are talking about outbound queues.  Sounds like the schedular.is not running, or else you may have a communication or resource problem.
If your queue(s) are unregistered, you can register them using SMQS.  Look for a missing destination, or a destination with a 'U' (unregistered) in the first column.  Also, it can't hurt to 'Activate'.  Don't be alarmed if in a few moments the status reverts to 'inactive', this just means that the scheduler is temporarily idle, and has decided that it has nothing to do.  More info at
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/EN/4c/cf5c3c3b067331e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
You can mass process 'Ready' queues in APO using  /SAPAPO/CQ.  Deselect 'only blocked'  select Expand Node, enter all the possible source/destination systems, execute.  In the resulting list, look for anything other than the green check, double click.  The list of 'ready' queues will appear on the right.  Select all, hit the activate Icon (matchstick).  Wait.  30K queues may take a day, depending on the content.

You really should be doing backups with an actual backup application, especially one that will work automatically, and, if your external HD is large enough, back up your entire system.  These can automatically back up only what's changed since the  previous backup, and some will keep "archive" copies of things you've changed or deleted, also.
Too many things can go wrong, such as your internal HD failing, and you'll have a major project to reinstall everything.
You already have Time Machine, built-in to OSX.  You might want to review the Time Machine Tutorial, and perhaps browse Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.
#27 in the second link mentions some alternatives, too.

  • CIF QUEUE in R3

    Hi,
For the CIF Queues in R3, i could see the errors in SMQ1 and SMQ2 ..how do we find the cause of the error,
    Pls answer,
    Regards,
    Dhanush

    Hi,
Many a times, you see the reason in the error itself.
For example., you may see the error "Integration model not active for material XXX in Plant YYYY".
For finding the root cause , you will have to study the related processes in detail( how the process is performed in SAP ECC or APO).
From experience, the majoirty cause of the errors could be attirbuted to 1. Master Data Errors, 2. job / process failures 3. Bugs
Please refer to OSS note 563806 ( FAQ: APO CIF) , which is gives a very good insight in CIF issues, best practices etc.

  • How to Debugg CIF queue

    Hi All,
When we transfer material master data from R/3 to APO then data is not updating in APO system.Could you please let me know the steps to debug CIF queue while transferring data from R/3 to APO.
    Thanks
    Mohit khandelwal

    Hi Mohit,
On a functional perspective, if you need to debut the queue, goto
smq1 and smq2 transactions (in APO or in R/3 based on where the
error lies) and execute it, you will get the list of queues under error.
If there are sysfails, double click on it by keeping the cursor on the
queue name and keep clicking it so that the entire LUW will gets
opened and you can see the error information.
For viewing the detailed log of the error, use transactions
    slg1, cfg1.
