Missing ringtones

I recently upgraded to ios 7.0.4 and I noticed my ringtones were gone and they're not showing up in itunes either where can I retrieve them?

Try resetting the keyboard dictionary

Missing ringtones after purchase of new iPhone 5 and transfer from iPhone 4

If they were purchased from Apple then you should be able to copy them from your iPhone 4 to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11) - they should copy over to the Tones part of your library. You should then be able to sync them to your iPhone 5.

I am having the same problem. I added it under preferences in the Library. I can see my ringtones there but there is not an option when I click on my phone. The options are Summary~Info~Apps~Music~Movies~TVShows~Podcasts~Books~Photos
The Apple tech I spoke with suggested I re-install iTunes (which I did) and it's still not there!
Would love any suggestions!

Missing Ringtones Folder

Hello Everyone,
This is my first post in the forum. I am trying to use an old midi file as a ringtone for my iphone. I went through the steps to create the m4r file and import it into itunes. But the file only shows up in my library, for that matter I am actually missing the ringtones folder all in all. Which from the tutorials I have read should be showing under the library with music, movies, podcasts etc... I can play the m4r file in itunes and when I check the file type using right click --> get info --> summary it shows as a ringtone.
Any ideas as to where my ringtones folder may be hiding would be appreciated. Or even why when I drag the m4r file onto the iphone device the file does not show in the ringtone preferences.

Missing ringtone after sync with iTunes

Hi,
I just bought a new iPhone 5 and I transfered all data from my old iPhone 3GS except for one ring tone which is missing now on both phones after the sync with iTunes! I can't find it anywhere in my iTunes, nor on my old iPhone 3GS which is weird...
I can't see it in my iTunes in my Purchased items. It's like Apple just deleted it entirely.
I found similar problem in topic https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3811069?start=0&tstart=0 where Apple deleted a ringtone which was no longer affiliated with iTunes Store. This can't be the right way to deal with all the content people paid for in past ?
The ringtone is still available in iTunes. It's Royksopp - Happy Up Here.
I paid for this ringtone and I wish to have it back.

Have you tried closing the GoodReader app completely and seeing if it works ok when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with GoodReader 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the GoodReader app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Missing ringtone after syncing to iCloud.

After I synced my iPone to the iCloud, I lost all my music. When I restored it, my purchased ringtone was missing. Any way to get it back without buying it again? I got it from Verizon, not the iTunes store. Please help?

I have this problem on the iPod Touch. I wish someone could provide a clue. I upgraded to ios6, and now I have a badge on Reminders that says 37! Who knows what it's counting? I have three visible reminders that are due, so I guess it's counting all the ghosts as well.

Missing Ringtone When Syncing with iTunes - How do I remove Corrupt Ringtones from my iPhone?

PLEASE HELP! I've been having trouble with a ringtone I purchased a few months back. Everything was fine, until a month ago when i synced my phone with iTunes, and my ringtone suddenly disappeared. I have tried several times to sync / resync my phone again and again, and the ringtone is not there. It is in my iTunes library under Tones, and it plays when I double-click on it. But for some reason it won't sync over to my phone. I've been in contact with Apple Support over email and they have put the ringtone back on my account twice, and both times I have been able to download it back directly to my iPhone. But it's the same story all over again when I sync with iTunes... the ringtone just disappears, even when I checked "Sync Tones".
Interestingly enough, when I take a look at my iPhone in iTunes, under Tones, there are 4 instances of the ringtone, all of them have an error icon next to them, as shown in the screenshot below:
I've tried to NOT sync ringtones, but this list still appears. For some reason I cannot delete these corrupt ringtones from my phone.
In my library, the ringtones appear fine, and play fine when I double-click on them. I don't know why there are 2 of them though.
Please help! I've been at this for a month and cannot find a solution! I've re-bought the ringtone twice, but everytime I sync, it disppears all over again. I think removing the corrupt ringtones from the iPhone may solve the issue. Once I remove the corrupt files, I can start from scratch since the ones in my library play fine. But the problem is I don't know how to remove the corrupt files from my phone. Please help!

Missing Ringtones Folder in iTunes

I have a 3 day old iPhone 4. I'm using the RMaker app to create ringtones. It requires the ringtone to be moved to the 'Ringtones' folder in the Library, but I don't have that folder. I also do not have a Ringtones folder in my iPhone (when it is synced to iTunes)...where is this folder please? Is it possible to create it?

Restoring Missing Ringtones After updating to iOS 8.1.2

Go To Safari on the device you are trying to get the ringtone and go to the website "iTunes.com/restore-tones"

This did not work on my iPhone 6. I keep getting "Your tones were not affected", even though a month ago the ringtone that disappeared was my default ringtone on this iPhone 6. As far as I'm concerned, iOs 8.1.2 is a complete fiasco.

Missing ringtones since iOS update

I am having trouble with two items I purchased on 19 November, two ringtones.
They were downloaded initially but since I did an iOS update they have gone.
I have done the "report a problem" button and then tried to re-download them by plugging the iPad into my laptop and downloading them again from iTunes. On the status bar it looked like it was doing it but after the sync was completed they are still nowhere to be found on the iPad...

I got it to work. First make sure you select to sync your "tones" on your phone options in iTunes. then I just keep "apply"ing the changes and restarted my phone and itunes after each round of "apply".It finally took after starting back up and syncing after the 2nd round of restarting. They will then show up as a seperate section under the "sounds" options, mine is on the top of the list, before the factory options.
Hopefully this helps someone.

Missing ringtone in iphone 6 plus

I just bought the new iphone 6 plus on this past Saturday. Since my PC is too old to update to the latest version of iTunes, I can't sync my phone to it. So I bought my same ringtone through iTunes again. However, my phone shut down on me this morning, and when I switched it on again, my ringtone is gone. Can someone please help me?

1. Cannot use iTunes > File > Add to Library to move/copy filename.m4r from desktop to iTunes
2. Comments from other iPhone users indicate that iTunes should have a ringtones tab.
