Missing Samsung Wireless Charging Pad with Purchase of Galaxy S6

Hi Bestbuy,
I recently ordered the Galaxy S6 on bestbuy.com. I saw a page that said Free Samsung Wireless Charging Pad with Galaxy S6 purchase valid 3/27/15-5/9/15. I noticed it wasn't added to my order. I also called the customer service line and the representative didn't know what I was talking about. Could you guys please help me out.
Thank you!
Jason

Hi JDiep,
I hope that you have had a great weekend thus far.
From the information I have reviewed, we did recently offer a free Samsung Wireless Charger with the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge.  You would need to have added the charger to your online shopping cart during checkout in-order to advantage of the promotional offer.  I looked over the order you placed using the email address you registered with the forum and it does not appear the charger was attached to your order when it was submitted.
With that having been said, I will be sending you a private message so that I can go over your order with you in additional detail to see what I can potentially do to help.  To check your private messages, you will want to login to the forum and click on the little yellow envelope icon located at the top of the page.  I look forward to further speaking with you.
Thank you for posting to the forum and enjoy your new Samsung Galaxy S6!

  • Qi Charging Case not charging with TYLT VÜ Wireless Charging Pad

I bought the white folding charging case plus the TYLT VÜ Wireless Charging Pad yesterday at the Verizon wireless store and it doesn't work.
The case seems to function and I do get the short screen display in the window but the Qi Charging is not happening.  Has anyone had any luck getting this to work?  I'm trying to go 100% plug free on this phone if at all possible.

  • Cases to accomodate "Samsung Wireless Charging Cover" for S5

I just got the "Samsung Wireless Charging Cover" for my S5 and, as expected, none of my cases fit well. Anyone have any suggestions for non-"bumper" cases that might fit? My URBAN ARMOR GEAR case does fit, but you can tell it's stuffed in there...

I already contacted LG two weeks ago with regards to this matter, and they said that it so far is not going to be made for this particular model, even though the 2 previous models did support this ability to charge wirelessly.  I had hoped someone else might already have found out about this, but apparently not.  Maybe if enough owners of this particular model ask for a "wireless charging cover", maybe LG would consider making one.  Even the Verizon store staff thought it was Qi compatible, and sold me a charging pad that I had to return for a refund.
I could have returned my phone and exchanged it for some other brand, but this model is small and very lightweight, and easy to tuck into my pocket or purse.  Since my original purchase at a Verizon store took about 3 hours to fill out all the paper work, the thought of repeating this procedure is daunting.

  • 920 chiming on the wireless charging pad... grrr.....

A while back, one of the updates to the Lumia 920 caused it to begin chiming periodically while resting on the wireless charging pad (or, as I've discovered, sitting in the wireless car charger, too). I'm not talking about the initial chime when it is first set down and begins charging. No, this chime happens randomly as long as it remains on the charger... I've heard it happen a couple of times within just a few minutes, and I've heard it wait an hour or two before going off again. Of course, if you set the phone to vibrate, it will just "buzz" instead of "bing," but it's still going off.
Prior to this problem, I used to set my 920 on the wireless charger on my nightstand and let it juice up overnight. Once the binging started, I was forced to either stop using the wireless charger (bummer... that's one of the things I really like about the 920) or set the phone to silence so I could sleep through the random vibrating (though my work requires me to be on-call for emergencies, so that doesn't really work).
When I first contacted Nokia about this problem several months ago, they said they were aware of the problem and would fix it in a future update. Well, the "black" update didn't fix it.
I spoke with Customer Support at Nokia today, and the guy had no knowledge of the problem. (Wasn't too impressed with his knowledge about the phone at all, for that matter, but that's a different issue.) He asked if I had ever tried resetting the phone, which of course I had and was actually a part of the "black" update even if I hadn't. Then he suggested that it might be a problem with my specific phone, and he wanted me to send it in for an engineer to take a look. When I pointed out that we've got 4 Lumia 920s here and they all have had the same problem since it was introduced in an earlier update, he still wanted me to send in my phone.
So I'm really, really frustrated. I love my 920. In fact, the one thing that's kept me from jumping to the 1020 is the built-in wireless charging (I don't think it's as elegant when added with a case like the 1020). So am I stuck with ignoring the wireless charging capabilities now? Plugging it in the old way at night, and considering the investment of a bunch of wireless charging plates for our bedsides to be a waste?
Any chance Nokia will step in and offer a solution? Any other use figure this one out?

I had the same issue on my 820 and Black did fix it. Have you checked that you have updated all system apps after you got Black ? Lumia System Updater is one of the free apps which can do that for you.

  • Case for note 4 with original wireless charging cover

I bought a samsung wireless charging cover for my note 4. When I tried to out the case on it, it no longer fits. After doing research I confirmed the phone is slightly thicker now. What cases are compatible with this set up?

I apologize joevas22, I didn't mean to insult you; I need to make sure this was done. I researched this quite thoroughly since you mentioned the size had changed. As stated in the link provided, the dimensions are 8inX2inX5in; our model is 6.04inX3.09inX0.33.  I assure you, this has been the only model we have and not changed anything. This is the link to the manufacturer's page http://bit.ly/1GbpHCS as well as ours http://vz.to/1ttodxd so you verify the information I provided is accurate. I am not sure why the seller listed the case as compatible with all models.

  • Never recieved Galaxy S6 wireless charger

    Hi BestBuy.com
I recently placed an order for my galaxy s6 through an agent on the best buy phone service, and the agent said that since I was placing my order for the s6 within the promotion time period of getting the free wireless charger, that the charger should ship soon after I pick up my phone in store. I picked up my phone from the store, but still have not heard anything nor recieved an email regarding the free wireless charger. My main reason for purchasing from best buy is making sure that I recieved the wireless charger since that was the best deal. I called customer service and they said that the wireless charger order was never placed with my phone order, which I have no answer to. Please help me out here. Thanks BestBuy

    Hello nacrogyn,
The Samsung Galaxy S6 looks like an amazing phone! Even I, an avid Apple user, was almost tempted to give it a try - almost. The offer of a free Samsung wireless charger was pretty awesome as well, so I can understand why you would be excited to make this purchase!
Using the email address you registered with the forum, I was able to locate your order. Sadly, it doesn't seem that a free Samsung wireless charger was added to the order. After further research of this offer, it is my understanding that this offer was removed from our site prior to your order being placed as we had run out of allocated inventory to fulfill this offer. Given this information, unfortunately it doesn't seem that we would be able to provide you with the charger. I am truly sorry if you were provided any misinformation while you were placing your order over the phone.
I understand that this was likely not the news you expected when you reached out about your order, and I hope that you give us a chance to provide you with a more satisfying experience. If you should have any questions, please let me know!
    Sincerely,

  • Wireless charger?

Is there a wireless charging pad available -- or in development -- for iPad 2 or Mini?  I just ordered one for iPhone 4 and it got me thinking how I hate hooking up the connector to charge this iPad 2 each night.  I rarely use the mini but would love to have a pad/mat that accepts both.

Apple patents a lot of things.
Most of them never see the light of day.
Even if Apple releases something with wireless charging-it won't affect any product currently out.

  • 822 No Grey Wireless Charging Cover, only Black an...

Love my Grey Lumia 822. Was a little disappointed that the Wireless Charging Cover (which did not come with my phone), allows the device to use the Qi wireless charging pads only come in Black and White.  I got black, and now my phone is two-toned.  It is still a sharp looking phone, but would really like to have a Wireless Charging Cover in Grey.
Just a word of warning to any of you out there who have the grey phone.

Where did you buy it? I'm dissapointed, I was told before I bought the plate that the HTC and the nokia 822 both had the back included, and now my charging pad doesn't work. I can't find where to buy the dang thing. It sucks that they aren't clear about it. I guess they did trick me into buying it

  • Nokia 925 Wireless Charging

Hi, I have just acquired a 925 and I also have 2 920 at my place.
I seem to have a problem charging wirelessly on my 925.
Charges then disconnects then charges again.
Initially, I thought it was an issue with my charging pads, fyi, I have 2 wireless charging pads as well.
The standing version & they flat on table version.
When I place my other two 920 on either one of them, no problems charging what so ever.
This totally proves to me that neither one of the charging plates are faulty
So I thought, it's probably the chaging clip on on the phone that has issues.
I went to get it replaced today by the shop I got the 925 from.
Now I'm home, I'm still having the same problems when charging.
Is it my phone since I got the charging clip replaced already?

This an issue based on "BATCH!"
I got mine resolved by going to Nokia Care.
They replaced the back charging clip to new one & now it's charging perfectly well.
It has been observed that some back plates given as free gifts by Telcos were giving this prob.
It's not isolated, so going to Nokia Care getting it replaced would be an instant fix.
At least it did for me.

  • Is the Lumia 820 wireless charging cover compatibl...

    Hello,
I have just bought this induction charging base in Amazon Germany. I had purchased the Nokia charging cover for my Lumia 820 already last month. But now that I lay down my phone on the base nothing happens. I thought that induction charging couldn't really be a proprietary standard (I mean, it's just basic physics after all!) but now I'm wondering if somehow the Nokia covers are not compatible with other brands of chargers? I'd find that hard to believe...
Has anybody used the wireless charging feature with other brands of chargers? Could there be some option that I need to turn on in my phone that I don't know of?
PS: I also contacted just now the charging base's manufacturer to see if they know of any compatibility issues

The cover is compatible with all wireless chargers that use the Qi Standard. It will not work with wireless chargers that use other standards, for example the old "powermat" chargers.
    More about Qi here: http://www.wirelesspowerconsortium.com/what-we-do/qi/
The one on your link doesn't mention any standards so itt's either like the powermats or proprietary.

  • IPhone 7 could Support Wireless Charging in Apple's Way (Rumours)

iPhone 7 could Support Wireless Charging in Apple’s Way (Rumours) Wireless power transmission was introduced by Nikola Tesla, when he succeeded in lighting electric lamps without wires. However, it took centuries for this technology to find its way in the mainstream. Well, over the past few years, qi wireless charging has finally emerged on to the consumer electronics market, especially in gadgets. The latest Smartphones like Galaxy S6/ S6 Edge, Phablets like Nexus 6 and Tablets like Nexus 7 now have built in wireless charging capabilities. But Apple’s iPhone 6 or 6 plus still lags behind in this advanced level of charging. To make them compatible with wireless charging pad a user need to insert an additional receiver that makes the charging process more hefty.
Recent video by GdgtCompare on their official you tube channel hinted towards built-in wireless charging concepts that Apple may introduced in its iPhone 7. Apple generally changes the design of its iPhone every two years, so we can expect that in 2016, iPhone 7 will get new look and design according to Apple’s terminology.
For this year it is almost confirmed that upcoming iPhone 6S and 6S plus shares similar design to the existing iPhone 6 handset.

The warranty is for one year and covers any manufacturing defects during that year. If you chose to pay for AppleCare, then your warranty would be extended. I could understand being angry if your iPod failed a week after the warranty expired, but FOUR YEARS after its expiration?!? I do not know any company that would cover a product years after warranty expiration.
So the logic board died. Nothing is designed to last forever. Apple is under no obligation - legally or ethically - to GIVE you something so long after the expiration of the warranty. After five years of use - temperature extremes, jostling, the occasional drop, etc. - something is likely to fail (all you need is one solder to go bad). If a portable electronic device lasts five years, I think that is the very definition of well built.
Now let me ask you something. If your car has a 50,000 mile/5 year warranty and the fuel injection dies after 250,000 miles - should the auto manufacturer be liable for the failure? Even if that is often the first thing to go on that particular model? And even if you treated the car perfectly?
And, as far as getting a non-Apple digital music player, that is certainly your prerogative. But do you think ANY manufacturer is going to give you the time of day four years after your warranty has expired?

  • Nokia Lumia Icon + DT900 wireless charging problem

I bought a Nokia Lumia Icon which had a defected SIM card tray. I replaced the daughter engine board where the SIM card tray is located without charging the phone first (the battery was completely empty) and now when I'm trying to charge the phone wirelessly with DT900, it just doesn't work. So I don't know whether it worked (or not) before my fixing procedure.
DT900 works with my wife's Lumia 1020 and my Lumia 928 so there's nothing wrong with it.
So all you technical gurus over here:
    1) how does the wireless charging work with Lumia Icon/930? I.e. does anyone have any wiring diagrams for Lumia Icon/930? There are two pins on the main board but where do they go? I didn't detach the main board, only the engine cover assembly and the battery in order to replace the daughter engine board where the SIM card tray is. So does the engine cover assembly have anything to do with the wireless charging (I don't think so) or do those pins go straight to the battery?
    2) does anyone know whether this is a common problem among Lumia Icon / 930 phones? A type fault or a serie of phones with defective rear cover and its wireless charging assembly?
I'd really appreciate if someone could help me. Thanks a lot in advance!

I can understand that when a manufacturer provides a free user forum they do not appreciate information posted which may cause problems and then be held responsible for the damages as it is an 'official' resource provided by the manufacturer.
I'd suggest you lookup the meaning of censorship which this most definately is not.

  • Wireless Charger problem

Why wont my S5 charge on the wireless pad only when the pad is connected to an outlet.

        bigdoggy77,
Let's clear things up. I completely understand the confusion. Given that the wireless charging pad does not have an internal battery it will require power from an outlet to provide power to the phone. The wireless charging pad is considered wireless there is no wire required to plug into your device to charge it.
