Missing Scene

I have a movie with two scenes. When I open the fla to edit,
I only see/access one scene. I cannot get to the second scene via
teh Scene Window or any other means. Any ideas?

in the top right corner where it shows the percent you are
viewing the stage at, the second symbol to the left, if you click
that, does it show your second scene?

  • Missing Scenes of Project in iDVD after exported from iMovie

So I finished a project in iMovie, the project is around 1.5 hours. I've made it into 20 different scenes (chapter mark), but when I export it to iDVD there are 2 scenes missing. I already change the encoding settings to Professional Quality but it makes no difference the scenes are still missing.
    Anybody know what to do?

Yes, it is very clear and very confusing.  I don't think chapter markers are the problem.
Is the video all from the same source?  In other words, if the video in chapters 3 and 4 are in an odd .avi format, for example, perhaps iDVD is having trouble handling it and the video needs to be converted to another format.
You may also wish to try some of the basic strategies suggested in this forum -- make sure your versions of iDVD and QuickTime are up to date, make sure there's enough hard disk space on your main HD (15+ G on boot drive), delete your preference file for iDVD (plist file) since it can become corrupted, empty your iDVD cache...

  • Scenes Disappeared After Flash Crash

    Hello,
I am running CS5.5 on a Win7 64 bit computer with 6G of memory.  My problem started today when after being kicked out of Flash (again :().
When I attempted to reopen my FLA, I received the message "Could not load scene into memory...".  I did a bit of research and realized that the last couple of PSD files I imported must have an issue.  I deleted these files from the library and it resolved the 'Could not load scene' message but when the FLA reopened, all my scenes had vanished...
I could reopen the FLA and view all the assets in my library (PSDs, FLVs, FXGs, etc.), however, my scenes window was empty except for the default Scene 7 that Flash created for me when opening the file.
I have (had) 5 scenes completed and was working on the sixth when the problem(s) started.  I have tried many different 'solutions' I have found on the net attempting to get my scenes back without any success.  Does anyone know a solution to recover my missing scenes?  This presentation is for a large company coming in on Thursday morning.  I have been working on this for two weeks.  I am ready to cry and throw-up all at the same time if I can't figure something out.
Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.
    Regards,
    Gilley

If you have a compiled (swf) version of your old flas content you could try to reverse engineer it with a swfDecompiler like http://www.sothink.com/product/flashdecompiler/
Next time this happens don`t delete anything from the library manually, also switch to xfl which is a lot more stable than the outdated fla format.
Also: save your files incremental (_001.xfl,_002.xfl)

  • BT Vision Box turns off constantly to reboot. Up t...

For the last month or more, my BT vision box constantly switches off - Blue Screen, then reboots, taking up to 5 minutes at a time.
It's impossible to record anything, watching things is annoying as you keep missing scenes while waiting for the reboot, you can't pause anything as it switches off.
I have called numerous times, and have been given the instructions to restore to factory settings. "It will be the same as having a new box"
I lost all my recordings (which my 3 year old was gutted as it was all his peppa pigs!!)...and it was worse than ever.
Yesterday it switched off over 20 times !!
I have phoned and emailed and not getting a decent response.
I was given £12.50 as a good will gesture last month, but I would be entitled to that as I didn't receive the service I am paying for. I would happily give that £12.50 back just to have my BT vision working.
I am told they are updating software, so surely if this is a problem they know about and were aware of, all customers affected should have been prewarned and compensated accordingly !
Has anyone else had the same problem?
    Thanks

In February I was persuaded to upgrade to BT Infinity over the phone when they agreed that part of the deal would be to move my phone line 6', i.e. entering the house from the living-room instead of the hall. It took 3 visits from 3 different engineer to get the message across that I was not switching to BT Infinity if they could not move the phone (needed the 2 power sockets). The BT Vision upgrade happened on a Monday during the day I assume and then kept happening for the rest of the evening. There was no information as to whether this was to be expected so I just left it to is own devices. The next moring the third engineer arrived and installed my BT Infinity hub. When I reinstalled my Powerline adaptors they did not 'connect' so I had no Broadband to the vision box but the BT Vision carried on 'upgrading' has been doing so intermittently ever since. I have ignored it for a week while I tried to sort out my Powerline adaptors and today I finally managed that. I was hoping that would solve the issue of the endless upgrading but it hasn't. It has 'upgraded' twice while I've been typing this! I have had no information about this problem, I thought I was alone until I read your post and as you say, if this has been happening to a lot of BT customers - why haven't they told us about it? I'm going to try some of the things suggested and reboot my Vision box and will let you know how I get on. Is there anyone out there who has actually managed to watch TV?

  • TV  Shows  stall & sputter

I recently purchased The Daily Show & The Colbert Report, & when I play back, they sputter & stall & IT'S REALLY ANNOYING!!!!!!!
I have turned off all other programs, I have run utility & Disk Warrior, etc. etc.
Since the last upgrade to 7, I noticed a lot of bugginess.
Any advice on getting some enjoyment from these TV Shows instead of stress?
    thanks,
    Jesse

    Jesse~
I am having the same problem. Every thing worked fine before I installed itunes 7 which it told me I had to do when trying to purchase a more recent tv show from itunes. Since then it's been like you described, sound not matching up etc.. Frustrating as ****. I even tried to download itunes 6 again, just to go back, but all I can find is itunes 6.05 which is an update. They want me to pay for the original itunes 6.0.. I noticed and maybe you have the same computer. my g4 is only 450 mghz.. itunes 7 requires 500 mghz.. which i guess would explain the slow motion, stuttering, missing scenes. etc.. If you find anything else out let me know. Or a link to a website where I can find itunes 6.0 and then update after. Good luck, check your system profiler to see what the speed of your computer is. I also have the same external drive (lacie) and download all of my music, tv shows, movies, etc.. to it and have never had this problem.

  • Photoshop CC 2014: 3D Scene Position Missing - Video Animation Timeline

The 3D Scene Position line in the video animation timeline - missing in 2014.2.1 (CC 2014 up-to-date) ... I have tried all the posted work arounds; using 3D Meshes but the movement from center problem is still present... the answer provided in other posts about this being moved to the Scene group is entirely unhelpful. The 3D Camera post saying it was just renamed is not correct this does not rotate the object. What is the answer or the problem, is there a solution within Photoshop CC?

I don't do 3D animations, but Seb Zaremba said it worked in the former Photoshop CC. You can have both version installed on your computer. Go to the Creative Cloud app and Apps>Filter & version>previous versions. There you will find the installer for CC (2013). Give it a try.

  • Missing/empty symbols, "Could not load scene into memory. Your document may be damaged." CS6

    Hey folks,
we've been getting this problem a lot. We had it in Flash CS5.5 and still have it CS6.
We're animating a series in Flash and this problem keeps cropping up way to often, but seems totally random.
Basically I'll be working on a .fla saving regular versions through out the day, no problems. I'll close the file down. Then I (or someone else on a different computer) will open it up and I'll get the error msg "Could not load scene into memory. Your document may be damaged." Everything will be fine except for a few missing graphic symbols. Sometimes just the one, sometimes a whole bunch. So where the symbol should be on the stage, instead you get a small white square, but it still contains the animation information. So it will still move about the stage. If I bring in the same symbol from an old scene I can swap them out and the problem is fixed, (until it does it again on a totally different graphic symbol).
If i select the symbol in the library the preview is white/blank and i can't go into it to edit. When I select the symbol on the stage, the "instance of:" gives me a blank "_ _ _" in the properties tab. How ever if i right click show in library it does show me the correct (although broken as in blank) symbol in the library.
I havent been able to reproduce this problem on purpose but I'd say it happens in roughly one scene out of 10. Its seems to happen at random, I know there must be something in common but i havent figured out what. Its going on in heavy scenes (large library multipule characters), lite scenes (just the one character). Its not like it happens to the same symbol, different ones each time. Everything is local to the scene, all elements are created in flash. We are working across a network but as everything is local to the scene i don't see how that would be a problem. Also we don't have duplicate named symbols. It also won't necessarily affect something that has been changed since the last version. could be a background element thats been there, untouched since the first version of the scene.
One point on how we set up our scenes which may be relevant. Start with empty scene, copy and paste symbols from other scenes to populate. Save.
The problem could appear on say version 4 or version 36. Older versions are usually fine.
So to sum up. Flash file is fine when we save it, open it up again later and a symbol will have disappeared. It's happening far too often.
I know how to fix the problem, thats not what I'm asking. I need to know WHY its doing it so we can stop this from happening in the first place.
Phew! Thanks for reading this far. Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Sander/

Can you elaborate on how you use the network? Are you working from FLA/XFLs stored on a machine across a network (and saving them across the network)? I had plenty of those issues and Adobe has always warned not to work across a network. I just fell into the habit of copying over what I need to work on locally, then updating the file servers at the end of the day. Nothing was corrupt after that.
Also lately in CS5.5 (not CS6 yet) I had noticed that I could change some graphics assets, close the document in OS X and open in Windows only to find freshly updated graphics reverted back. What's even more odd is if the OS X machine that made the changes opens it the changes are still made. This happens vice versa as well. My only solution on that was not to work cross-platform with other machines on a network unless absolutely necessary.

  • Scene Selection Missing in Action

My production of a DVD of movie clips did not successfully include chapters in Scene Selection.
In iMovie, I highlighted movie clips in the clip viewer and added chapter markers via the button below the Chapters panel. The yellow diamonds showed up in the # column of the Chapters panel but in the timeline panel only at the beginning and end (I think).
I then “Shared” the iMovie with iDVD. I tried to get a preview of the movie in playback mode, but the Scene Selection button was not active. There was no filled-in yellow circle adjacent to Scene Selection. Pay Movie did have the yellow circle. I burned a disk image anyway and then burned a DVD using Disk Utility. The movie plays but without the Scene Selection working. I am, however, able to “tab” from chapter to chapter with the “virtual remote”
I must be missing a step. Any ideas?
I am confused in one other area. When I highlight a clip and click on the Add Marker button, does the chapter marker always go at the beginning of the clip? Somehow I got one to be entered at the end of a clip.

What you indicate helps. The chapter markers are now shown in the timeline and the Scene Selection in iDVD shows the yellow filled-in circle. But, in Playback mode, clicking on the Scene Selection yellow circle does not allow navigation to the scene menu. The map view show the proper layout, including the 0:00:0 icon for the start. However, the scene selection icon is generic. It does not show my movie. The chapter icons do show my movie. Clcking on the generic scene selection icon does show the selection menu with my movie. And they can be clicked and played.
    Your ideas will be appreciated.

  • Javafx.scene.layout.Priority missing from the API Doc

I notice there is an important class "javafx.scene.layout.Priority" missing from the JavaFX 1.3 API Doc. I can still use that class without any problems in my apps.

Thanks for spotting that - I'll fix that before the next release.

  • Scene selection buttons missing

    Hello all,
I'm using iDVD6 for the first time for a movie made in Final Cut Express HD.
I set chapter markers in FCE and have imported the movie into iDVD. The instructions tell me that iDVD automatically sets two buttons on the Main Menu page, one for Play Movie, the other for Scene Selection. I have neither.
Can anyone shed some light on what I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    Andrew

I deleted the old iDVD project and started from scratch. I am following the iDVD Help manual to the letter, but can't get the scene selection button to appear.
The manual says I simply drag the movie with chapter markers to the menu background outside the drop zone, and that the menu will automatically change to show 2 buttons, Play Movie and Scene Selection. This is the part that's not happening.
The movie definitely has chapter markers, and during the exporting process, I did choose the 'Keep chapter markers' option.
    Any ideas?

  • Scene Repair Tool is Missing

I am new to Elements. One of the main reasons I purchased this software was for its 'scene repair tool' which, according to the literature I have read, should be located under the healing brush tool drop menu. A 'Dummies' book that I purchased actually shows a picture of this drop down menu with three options, but my software appears to only have two; 'spot healing brush' and 'healing brush'. Can anyone tell me where I can find this option, and if not, what options do I have to remove unwanted images from my pictures?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Chapter Scene Markers Missing

I am having trouble importing chapter scenes from Premiere Pro 2. In PP2 I exported timeline as avi and chose the option to export chapters in the compile settings. When opening in Encore 2 the chapters are not there. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for helping a newbie.
    Darren

You need to make sure there is text in the Chapter field of the markers in PPro.
Please note that this is the lounge. And the lounge is for general discussions that are not necessarily on-topic or about Encore.
Problems with exporting from Premiere and importing into Encore should go either into the Premiere Pro 2.0 forum or the main Encore forum.

  • No "Play All or Scene Selection" available.  Sound also missing.

Last week I burned several DVD's successfully.  I was prompted that there was an update to 7.0.4 available, so I updated.  Ever since then, I have been unsuccessful at adding a "Scene Selection" or hearing the Revolution music that usually plays while you make your selection.  Nothing else had changed.
I went back to look at previous update you could download that fixed the "scene" issue, but when I try to download it, it says "unnecessary".   When I try to download any of the previous IDVD updates, it simply won't. It says IDVD is not in the Applications file.  When I look in the Applications file, I see it is indeed there.
Is there any way to UNINSTALL a previous download, and reload? It was working fine before.  Now I can't get it to do anything right.  This has been driving me nuts for days now.
Thanks for any help and happy thoughts you can give me.
    kate

I have same problem. In test mode, clicking on each chapter starts a relevant time in the main movie. But on a burned project only first chapter works, other just loop but when clicked on, nothing happens. Any help around?
    Where can I download IDVD06?

  • Why does the movie I bought off of iTunes stop every 5 seconds and then skip through the scenes it missed? ( I am playing the movie on an HP Compac )

Once the movie stops, the audio stops, but then after 5 seconds or so it will speed up to try to catch up with the rest of the movie.   I bought the movie in HD for 14.99 and if it keeps acting up like this I am afraid it's going to crash my computer.  Please, this is so frustrating

You are more lucky than me, mine will go about 8 seconds...audio stops but the song is still playing. I have to quit iTunes and occasionally I can get it to work normal for a while. Shuffle is broke, help is broke, iTunes needs a MAJOR update and QUICK!. I can't live without me musics.

  • For the love of Jeebus, please tell me I am missing something with PP's janky audio workflow

OK, I've read the help docs, gone through the tutorials, watched the videos.  Still I am not finding an efficient workflow for dealing with audio in PP.  Let's face it, audio in 5.5 was completely baffling to us newbies jumping ship from FCP 7, and I thought the CS 6 update was going to simplify things.  No dice.  As I am a somewhat recent transplant, I am willing to admit that…. wait, nay, I'm HOPING that I am probably missing something here and that it's just stupid operator error.  Fingers crossed.
Here's my situation.  I am editing a documentary that has hundreds of hours of footage and thousands upon thousands of clips.  We are working with three different kinds of audio: stereo, mono 1 & 2 (interviews with a lav mic on channel 1 and boom on channel 2) and mono (interview on channel 1 with lav microphone only).  Here's my problems:
If I set the audio so that they're all stereo clips
Then I'm running into problems with the mono 1 & 2 tracks.  Say the boom audio is better on the right channel, and I want to silence the left.  I turn the left channel off.  Then I want the boom audio to be on both channel's equally… well, I can't figure out a way to do that.  In FCP, I would just put the pan to center, and the audio would play the right channel's audio on both channels equally.  With PP, panning does nothing but adjust how much of the boom is heard, as opposed to how much the lav (now silent) is heard.  I can't find a way to pan the boom to the center, so that it is heard equally on both channels.
If I set the audio so that they're all mono 1 & 2 clips
Doing this solves the boom/lav problem as listed above, as the mono tracks seem to center pan and play on both channels equally, so simply deleting the lav works well.  However, now if I have a stereo song that I want to keyframe some fades in (say a music bed playing in the background that I want to fade lower when a person starts talking)… now I have to pen tool in keyframes for the left track AND the right track separately, try to get the fades to match on each track, then separately fade the audio back in for each track.  So essentially I've DOUBLED my work  for each of the tracks I've marked this way.
As a note, I love having found this out the hard way, after editing a 20 minutes interview into bits and pieces scattered across my timeline, and then finding out I should have set the audio to Mono 1 & 2.  Easy enough, I thought, as I went back to the Project window, found the original clip, then went to modify the audio so it would work in my project.  I got the extremely helpful message that "Any changes you have made to the number of clips or the type of those clips will not be reflected in the existing timelines.  Do you want to continue?"  YEAH!  That's super.  You might as well have put "Making this change now will do nothing to help you.  You'll have to go back and edit everything again.  Do you want to continue?"  Great, Adobe, thanks.  Bang up job there.
I was really happy about not having to transcode in PP like I used to have to do in FCP 7.  That was until I realized how the audio worked, and for the latest scene of this documentary  had to go through every clip/camera download to figure out how the audio had to be set-up before I could start editing.  Transcoding a big job used to take me a day.  Configuring the audio in PP for this one scene took two.
I would be the happiest person on the planet to find out that I've been wasting my time and that there is a simple solution for all of this.  Hope someone can point me in the right direction and thanks for any help!

I'm not suggesting any of this as a model, and your needs are different than mine.
    1) Go to Preferences -> Audio.  Under "Default Audio Tracks", Set "Mono Media: Mono".  Set "Stereo Media: Mono"  (Choices from the pull-down for both are Use File, Mono, Stereo, 5.1, Adaptive)
You can change these, but I don't. I am using both mono and stereo tracks. I set up a custom sequence with the particular combination of stereo and mono tracks I want.
    2) Set audio for clips by selecting all clips and going to Modify Clip -> Audio Channels Tab.  Under "Number of Audio Tracks" there should be a "1".  Under Channel Format it should read "Stereo".
I am not sending the audio to anyone else to edit further. I am doing a final stereo mix. If camera one is set up to record 2 mikes as a stereo track, then I leave that unchanged and put it onto a stereo track. If camera two is set up to record one mike onto channel 1 as ambient sound and channel 2 is a mono feed from a sound board, then I modify those clips as Preset Mono, 2 audio tracks, Channel format Mono, and that puts the left source channel (or whichever I choose) onto Audio track 1, channel 1 (of one), and right source channel onto audio track 2, channel 1.
    4) Delete all the existing audio tracks in the sequence and replace them all with mono tracks, so all tracks in the sequence are mono.
I modify the tracks while creating the sequence, and ultimately use a custom sequence.
Under my Effects Controls panel there is only Channel Volume, and nowhere to adjust the pan.
I'm using the mixer, not the effects control panel.
