Missing Search Directories during Post substep execution

I've run into a small difficulty in my elegant solution to the problem I posed in my "Calling IVI/Visa drivers from TestStand" question.
In brief, I have some custom step types where I've defined a Post substep, which uses the DLL Flexible Prototype Adapter to call a bit of code I wrote. The problem is, it's unable to find my DLL while executing the Post substep. The DLL is in the same directory as the sequence file, and I have the "Current sequence file directory" option enabled in Search Directories. The same DLL can be found no problem when it's called as the main module for a step.
It seems as if the current sequence file directory is not being searched when the Engine is executing substeps. I'm having som
e difficulty finding an elegant solution to this. I hate to just add another directory to the Search Directories, because those are universal, and this problem is specific to this one sequence. I hate to use a sledgehammer to kill a fly.
Am I missing something obvious? Is there a flyswatter I'm not seeing?

To McGregorMortis -
A substep is a subcomponent of a step type. Step types definitions can reside in a type palette file or any sequence file. When a sequence file uses an instance of a step type, i.e. a step, the step type definition is attached to the sequence file.
We specifically decided not to use the current sequence file search path for substeps in step types for the following reason:
A step type only loads the substep code module
once, even if more than one sequence file uses
it. So if one sequence file has the code module
for the substep in its directory and another
sequence file has another copy of the code module
that might be a little different, the second code
module would not be used.
Step types ar
e intended to be used as a major component of the TestStand engine. That is why the default TestStand step types are stored in the Components directory and the search directory feature specifies to recursively search the Components directory.
Hope this helps...

  • TestStand continuously probing its search directories for changes

TestStand will continuously probe the search directories for any changes to directories, subdirectories, and files.  The sequence and LabVIEW VI's are stored on a file server.  The client test station PC, running the test, loads the sequence and VI's off of the server.  During the execution of the test TestStand will ask the server every couple of seconds if any folders and files within the TestStand search directory listings has changed.  This constant probing of the server files is consuming much LAN bandwidth.  I know this because my IT department has connected a packet sniffer to the network.  We can see the PC, at TestStand's request, is continuously asking the server for folder or file changes.  How can this be deactivated?

A couple more things to check:
    - Do you have a process model or step type on the network drive?
    - Are you unloading step modules unnecessarily (ie. Unload Option: After Step Executes)?
You could also pull the network cable out once all the modules and files have been loaded and you aren't expecting it to need any more network files. Then perhaps you would get an error message indicating what file is still being retrieved.

    Hi,
    Maintain the current CRM release.
The dump might have occurred when transferring SAP sales order to CRM.
This has caused a error in SAP table CRMPAROLTP .
Go to SE91 provide the message class & message number, then click where-used-list & select the program check box.It will show you the program name MV45AF0B_BAPIDATEN_ERMITTELN.
Just check the program with the ABAPer.
    Hope this helps.

  • MIRO creates a duplicate document itself during posting an invoice

    Hi all,
have you ever experienced that SAP created a financial posting by itself during posting of invoice? I've found out that on certain circumstances its possible. In AP process when posting an invoice(S1 entry type) in Miro AP click on "Save-post button. They should be routed to their "inbox" however it happens that they are routed to first Miro screen. This is the moment when we know the O1entry type(entry posted outside workflow) is created by the system. Is it possible to solve it here? Or should I be more specific?
    Thanks a lot for help.
    regards
    Jakub

    Hi
You can use BADI AC_DOC_POST.. Pardon me, i dont remember the name exactly.. You can search the badis in SE18 based on this name
Ask your abaper to write the code  so that when the COMMIT happens, it also updates the Z table
    Other Options: BTE 1120

  • D30 not seeing KB during post from back panel

This is a really more of an annoyance than an issue but I've noticed the D30's we're setting up don't see the KB during post when it's connected to the back USB ports on the Mobo.  Front panel reads it fine. It's not connected to the USB 3.0 ports either (indeed it's on USB1 whichhas the KB logo).
Unit will generate a KB error then attempt a PXE boot (which fails) at which point it will sense the correct drive and boot normally.  KB/mouse work fine once it's booted.  The cloned machine has the issue; the donor does not.  Identical BIOS version / settings.  I'm sure I'm missing something obvious; it's just perplexing since the front panel board works fine but the back panel doesn't - kinda counter intuitive.  Sure I could enable a BIOS setting to ignore the keyboard but what fun would that be?

What BIOS version are you using?
Are you using the (Lenovo) standard USB keyboard or something 3rd party?
Any chance it's a false failure on the the failing system?  Are you able to get into BIOS setup using F1 on the keyboard even though the system is logging a KB error?
Can't say I've seen this on any of our systems.

  • Strange codes during POST

    Z77A-G45
    i7 3770
    Corsair HX650
    12GB Geil
    GTX 460
I'm having this strange codes during POST, by this order: 99 B4 A2 C5. They change fast and the boot is fast too. What do they mean? My computer is working fine (as far as I know) but I'd like to know what those codes are.

Those are simply POST sequence checkdown codes as it progresses to the boot of the OS stage. If it stops on one of them, then it helps to troubleshoot what the problem might be.
Look this up on the Web searches, it should show up so you can download it.

  • Error occurred during post handling RS_AFTER_IMPORT for UPDR L

    Hi friends,
I need your help for 2 issues related to transport
I am getting error while transporting the request from BW DEV to BW QAS..Please help me regarding this issue..
1.)Error occurred during post handling RS_AFTER_IMPORT for UPDR L
The errors affect the following components:
          BW-WHM (Warehouse Management)
2.)Start of the after-import method RS_UPDR_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) UPDR (Activation Mode)
           Error when activating update rule
IC=0CRM_PROD IS=0PR_IL_PROREF_ATTR error when checking update rules.
Friends these are the two issues im facing while doing the transports._i have checked the update rules in the BW DEV it is working fine._please give some solutions to overcome this issues.
    Thanks
    Gnana Baskar

    Hi Gnana,
Since u r telling tht the update rules are working fine in the Dev system, request u to perform some checks:
    1. The Update rule needs to be in active version.
    2. The InfoObjects used in the target InfoProvider should be present in the QA system/attached to the request in which u r transporting the changed Update Rule.
    3. Manually add objects, if needed all the Before/After objects in the new request and reactivate the Update rule, if it asks for a request give this new request number.
    4. Compare the data model in Dev and QA system and try finding the disconnect between them.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi there,
Have you checked that DataSource is activated and replicated in your R3 Quality system? Check in BW for your source system if 2LIS_03_BF is there.
    Hope this helps,
