Missing security features...

Hi,
Someone has suspiciously gotten information that was only available on my skype account including contact names and conversations.
I am only to assume that they have somehow gotten into my account so I immediately changed my password.
I am wondering if there is any way I can check which computers have acceced my account?
by comuter name or IP or at least by country?
many email clients and social network sites have a feature like that. I know I am in Bahrain so if I could check by country or at least by time/length of access that would be incredibly valuable.

As Tamara suggested, give feedback to Apple.
In a way I would agree with some of your comments. A four digit passcode is not secure...eight would not really be secure either. Strong passwords are at least 12 characters using a mix of upper and lower case letters, at least one number, and at least one special character (the shifted number symbols). And no dictionary-lookups.
There is a built-in restriction feature for the most "dangerous" apps. That means those most easily abused by both children and employees.
But there is another downside, passcodes and restrictions can be removed by simply restoring the iPad. So, security is only as strong as the skill of the user. That is true of any computer system, even a desktop Mac...you can always defeat security if you know how.
A lock on the door is really just to keep an honest person honest.

So far, I looked at your first solution, Revo Uninstaller and it gives you a 30 free trial. Ergo, it will eventually cost money so I'm leery of using those kinds of programs in general, meaning most "free trials" have unwanted strings attached and often are big probs to get rid of later. Perhaps you can assure me that it is easy and very user friendly, before I proceed. And I already ran malwarebytes and it found nothing tho the program still can't be uninstalled. I downloaded Adw Cleaner and during the install, my Norton's security popped up and warned that there were (low risk) threats with two of their "other offers" and i hadn't even actually clicked to agree either of them. Nonetheless, Norton warned me against the "lyrics finder" and "deal ply." In fact, there was a box already with an x in it, saying that you are accepting deal ply if you x on "next." Well, except I unchecked that box before clicking on next, yet when it went to fully install, it still showed that it was adding itself; so, just before the install was 100% completed, I had to abort the whole thing. I really do hope your other suggestions are programs that you personally know that they don't try and trick you. But right now, I would not suggest Adw Cleaner to anyone. I even read the fine print about what they will try and install and how to decline and it still tried sticking stuff on that i believed I had declined. Anyways, i have to leave now, shall pick up later this evening, if my pc is still functioning.

Security feature missing in new Airport Express

The new Airport Express does not support non broadcasting SSID as confirmed by Apple support. Virtually all of Apples other products allow you access a non broadcasting network by just entering the name one time in network settings. This allows you to hide your network by selecting to not broadcast the SSID (your network name) on your wireless router so others cannot see it with their computers, phones and laptops etc. My six year old Airport express supports this however I cannot imagine why the new one does not. Very disappointed. Why did they leave this out?

When there are dozens of free utilities available on the Internet that will reveal a "hidden" network in seconds, it is of little value as a security "feature".
As far as leaving the "feature" out, are you saying that the settings for the feature were left out......or the settings for the feature are there....but they do not work?

1. Trying to follow instructions to set up the Reports Security Feature.

3.Hitting following Error

do you mean to say that you cannot enter any passphrase on the router web ui or on the wireless computer itself ??
if its on the router , then upgrade / reflash the router's firmware...

After updating to the latest version of Firefox on my Mac there is no progress bar for the page load. I really miss this feature and can't seem to find a way to obtain it.

On startup I get an Alert dialog that tells me that some security feature is not working and I should correct things in the Firefox profile. What's going on?

I've trashed the old Firefox (which left a few dynamic libs open and I had to restart to empty the trash) and I installed the latest Firefox (3.6.14), but the problem remains. I found a profile for Firefox in the /Library/Cache folder, but I don't know what to do with it. My disk has plenty of room.

Error while Portetizing ADF Application with security feature.

not sure what the error message is that you get. However, if you access an application through prortal then the security needs to be enforced by the portal, not the application itself because the portal will modify the request headers.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

As far as anyone of you know is the iPhone 5 (and/or iOS in general) missing any features if bought from the UAE??
Because as I recall at some point the iPhone 4 or 4S didn't offer FaceTime in UAE, so that's why I am asking!!

FaceTime is not available on iPhones purchased in the UAE. It doesn't matter where you activate it or what version of the software you update it to. It can't be added to those phones. Ever. Sorry.

Saving to PDF using VBA in Excel 2007 using security features such as password and print restriction

Thank you. I was able to find the security setting section. The problem I have now, however, is writing the VBA to save to PDF and incorporate the security settings. I thought if i applied the settings to the Excel document I was working on it would carry over, but this does not seem to be the case. Any idea's?

EBay does not recognize new security feature requiring security number in Firefox but works with IE

eBay has a new security feature when attempting to e-mail a seller; it requires that you enter a numerical code in a box. When on Firefox eBay does not recognize that I've entered the number and keeps telling me to enter the number but when on IE it recognizes the number. What add-on, etc do I need to make Firefox compatible with eBay? Thanks

The problem seems to be caused by the Java Console add-ons. Disabling mine (6.0.20 and 6.0.21) fixed the problem.

HT1430 Can apple implement the following Security feature.

Apple please make a change to the password secruity feature, that if the 'password feature is set on' has been selected, the IOS device can only be switched off once the correct password has been entered.
As the battery in all IOS devices cannot be removed easily, this feature will allow the owner to track the device until the battery life has ended.
My iPad Mini was stolen, 5 minutes after noticing that the device had been taken, your "findmyiphone app" was unable to track the device, as it had been switched off. All password features were set on and used to protect the device , but todate it has not shown up on the "findmyiphone app". The App tells me that the device is offline.
I have also instructed the app to notify me once it has connected to the internet and a full delete to be implemented.
Your response to this feature would greatly improve the security features that to so clearly advertise.

Facetime Missing Security Update

So me and most of my friends have iPhone 4's. we have been placing facetime calls all the time. i got curious about facetime for mac and decided to try it out. Everytime I try to install it, it says missing Security Update 2010-005. I've downloaded this and tried to install it over and over. It goes thru installation and restarts like it should. Tried to install facetime again after and it still says that its missing the security patch. Idk what to do to fix it. i've even installed other updates, 2010-006 and 2010-007 but with no prevail. Any suggestions?!

I have OSX version 10.5.8, which is below the minimum required for the facetime software.
I did 'software update' yet it never shows any software update available.
Do i have to manually do the software update for my mac? or should it be automatic. If it should be automatic what have i done wrong? All the settings i can see say that it is automatic. And besides - shouldnt the update for 10.6.5 be showing (or anything more advanced than 10.5.8) in the software update section?!
