Missing seek and speed controls on iPhone "iPod" app

Yesterday I wanted to skip the end of a podcast so I brought up the speed control and clicked it to twice as fast, however just after I did this, the speed control and the line beside it that allows you to seek backwards and forwards in the podcast vanished. This is the same for music I play, so I cant skip forward or back in a song.
I tried ending the application, restarting the phone, I can't see anything under settings for the iPod application. I really dont want to restore the phone for this, but now it's stuck playing on double speed and without the seeking control.
Anyone have any ideas on what I might do?

Hi lirril: Have you tried tapping the album art while the music or podcast is playing? That should bring the "scrub-bar" to the screen.

It probably means that only one of you can use iCloud or at least sync calender/contacts with it. I would guess that you could manually manage the other phone as you have before.

Mac Mini used as Apple TV (airplay and apple remote on iphone/ipod)

Yesterday Apple announced the new Apple TV as an iOS device. It can be controlled using the apple remote app on an iphone or ipod touch. I am using a Mac Mini using Air Mouse to control the Mini which is hooked up to my TV. Would it be possible to use the Apple Remote app for this?

you could use the itunes remote app to control your itunes music / videos from an iphone/ipod touch/ipad.

Keep in mind the itunes currently uses the remote app in a different manor to the apple tv. I don't think you could use the itunes remote app to for instance rent movies. But ones you had the movie rented you could use the remote app to trigger playing /pausing the movie. But there are some advantages, like you can get a list of videos on the computer on the iOS device.

How to sync iphone & ipod app on same computer

My sister is using an iphone and I am using an ipod touch. We each have our own app store account. How can we download and sync each of our own apps on the same computer?

The methods offered are more for music. I dont intend to share apps as I know not all apps are free.
Method 1: Tried. When i go to the application tab on my pc, everything is grey out. I cant select anything or even shuffle the icons on my ipod on the screen.
Method 2: That is using music playlists. Cant do anything with apps.

Making My iphone Ipod app work.

I have recently acquired an iphone 3gs. However when I sync with itunes the ipod app declares there is no music content. All tyhe contacts and calendar info. syncs. ok. Any ideas how i can nrectify this problem?

Just updated to ios 4.3.2 and none of my IPhone 3Gs apps will run. The original apps that came with the phone do work though. What do I have to do to get them working again?

I have recently bought an iPod 5th Generation and I'm very happy with it !! My question is.
I have an old laptop iBook and it is connected to a hard disk where I stock my music.... So basically, this old computer is my jukebox. The only problem is that the screen on the iBook doesnt work very well (I must press really strong alongside the mousepad in order to see something). So I was wondering if I could control and see (select music and more), from my iPod touch ? Should I absolutely need to have an Apple TV ?
Is there an APP so I could control my iBook from my Ipod ?
I also have another laptop (PC) and I was wonder if I could control everything from my ipod touch ? It could be really fun.

I'm missing movies and TV shows on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV

I've purchased a significant number of movies and TV shows over the last few years. When available in HD, I always purchase titles in HD, whether they're TV shows or movies. I have iCloud enabled on all of my devices, and am also an iTunes Match subscriber. I very much enjoy having all of my content available, whether I'm at home or on the road. As long as I have an internet connection, my content is available.
Unfortunately, it would seem I'm missing random items from iCloud -- movies and TV shows. For example, I purchased both Cars and Cars 2 (Disney/Pixar) in HD, but only Cars shows up on our iPads, my iPhone and our Apple TV. Cars 2 is missing. Likewise with several episodes of the Big Bang Theory--none of my Season 1 episodes show up on the iPads, iPhone or Apple TV, but purchases from Seasons 4, 5 and 6 do.
The items are all downloaded on my MacBook, so they all appear there. If I go to the iMac, Cars 2 and the Season 1 Big Bang Theory episodes don't show up as available iCloud downloads. However, if I go into the iTunes Store and select these items to purchase again, iTunes tells me I already purchased the item and downloads it to me for free. So if iTunes knows I purchased it, why doesn't it show up in iCloud?
If this were an issue of studio rules/copyright, I would expect this problem to be specific to movies/shows from certain studios. In the case of Cars and Cars 2, these are both Disney/Pixar films, so why would Cars be in iCloud but not Cars 2?
Another movie that DOES show up in my iCloud is Gran Torino, one that I redeemed as a Digital Copy.
There are other TV shows and movies that have this same problem--they don't appear in iCloud but if I search for them in the iTunes Store, I can re-download them at no charge if I already purchased them.
Does anyone know how I can get the "missing" items to appear in iCloud if I legitimately purchased them or redeemed them via a promo code?

I did a little bit more research, and if I go into iTunes and choose to display TV Shows and Movies as a List, I get a nice, sortable list of movies and shows to which I can add columns. A column that you can add is called "iCloud Status."
This column shows either Purchased or Ineligible for all of the titles. And this is where things get really confusing.
Sure enough, the items that are "missing" from the iPads, iPhone, Apple TV, etc. are the Ineligible items, but that's not the confusing part. What IS confusing is which items are Ineligible.
A good example is my Deadliest Catch collection -- I own the entire season 3 and 4 of DC; season 3 is Purchased and Season 4 is Ineligible. Back to the Big Bang Theory, I have five episodes from Season 4 -- 3 are Ineligible and 2 are Purchased.
It makes absolutely no sense that episodes from the same season of the same show would be a mix of Purchased and Ineligible!

My iPhone 5 connects to the computer and it is recognized and everything is all good, but when I try and click on the iPhone/iPod icon i cannot and it just stays grey. What should I do?

I cannot get to the page where you can start sync and all other options, but my phone is recognized.

ITunes Sync Problems With iPhone & iPod Apps

Since i upgraded my Mbp i started getting this strange problems,
its effecting both iPhones and iPod,
I got a new model MBP so copy my entire itunes collection and sync it with the new mbp,
also copied over the iphone and ipod data (backups)
now everything was fine but the last 2 weeks itunes doesn't let me remove any apps from my iphone or ipod,
if i remove the apps from the phone/ipod and then connect to itunes it will reinstall all the apps,
if i connect to itunes and remove the apps it will some times reinstall or wait till the next time i sync my iphone or ipod and reinstall the same apps,
i have run out of solution to sort this out,
if the apps are deleted this does sort the problems out,
but some of the apps are paid apps, so don't want to loose them,
also if i delete and re-download the apps i still end up with the same problem..
any help on this will be great...

copy entire itunes folder with itunes data files,
remove itunes and completely erase it,
then download a fresh copy of itunes re-install,
and copy the itunes folder back over,
then run the itunes setup,
connect your apple device all should be working fine now...

We shared the app's itunes app store link on facebook recently. In iPod and iPhone, we can be brought to app store showing our released app by clicking the shared link. However, when we click the shared link in iPad, it did brought us to app store, but it showed an error message instead.
We then tried to change our store location to US, but it showed some error again.
Any help on explaining this confusing issue will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Find my iPhone(iPod) App problem

My grandkids hid my iPod touch. I used find my iphone app to find it and send an alert. That worked fine (between couch cushions). Now I can't turn the alert off I have clicked "OK" but it still comes back and I can not use the iPod. Can anyone help with Thi? Thanks

How can i print in black and white from ePrint or all in one app?

As far as i'm aware there is no option to print in B/W from either app. As a workaround for this, I'd suggest opening the photo in the photo viewer on your iphone and select the edit function. From the list of filters available, select mono and this will give you a B/W print.
To return the photo to it's normal colour, select the filter "none".

Music and Videos Vanished From iPhone 3G - Apps Inactive Too

I turned off and restarted my phone to refresh GPS and afterwards all my music and video were gone. No 3rd party apps will launch. Contacts, Mail, and Safari seem fine. About to sync phone and see if it corrects itself. Wish me luck

Hi,
I restored my phone without a good backup so it's like a new phone again. Had to redo my mail accounts and so forth. Doing sync now to get music, photos, and video back. I will now start keeping my own backups of the iphone backup since time machine does not. I would not enjoy going through this again. I lost my notes and sms history but might be able to get history, least u to 7am, from backup file using an application i use to archive my sms. Hope Apple makes some changes to address this type of problem and adds a verify to it's backup process. You should be able to trust the backup file if you don't get an error message at the end of the backup process. Good luck to other with this problem.
