Missing Sent box

I just opened my Outlook account. I  have sent several emails but they do not show up in the Sent box (and yes, I have checked the box: Save copies of messages in Sent items folder.)  There is a Sent Items box under Favorites and another under
Outlook Data File but there is no Sent Items box among the files listed under my name with a Google mail address.  How do I get it to show up here?
Thanks!
Esti

Hi,
How did you configure your Gmail account in Outlook? Via POP3 or IMAP?
If via IMAP, please check if you have a "Sent Mail" folder under "[Gmail]". If so, can you see your sent mails in it?
In addition, please click File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Double click your Gmail account to open the "Change Account" wizard >
More Settings button > Advanced tab, make sure the box labelled "Do not save copies of sent items" is not selected.
Please let me know the result.

  • When I send a photo from iphoto through e mail I cannot find a record in the sent box.  Where is the record of the sent photo?

Where is the record of an e mail I send using i photo share?  It isn't in the 'sent' box of my e mail account

What I am missing is the sharing history in iPhoto.
It's hidden and buried in the Info drawer for the photo.
And there's no way to search for those photos that have been emailed.  If you want a sent copy BCC yourself on every email you send out.

  • Sent messages not in Sent Box

Yesterday my sent mail appeared in my sent box.
Today three messages sent, I know they arrived, have not appeared in my sent box.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Hi AK
I must admit to being new to Macs but have in the past few weeks taken delivery of a MacBook Pro 2.0....exciting times.
With this in mind I have not played around with any settings, all is as standard, as far as I know.
I sent a message on Saturday and it is still in my sent box, as it was straight away. Four messages have been sent since, one was a repeat of the first, sent because of the missing message in the Sent Box. The other two were tests. The two tests arrived immediately and later I got a reply from the person I had originally emailed. But still no message in Sent Box other than saturday's
    Hope this helps

  • Random email disappears from my sent box in mac mail

I use mac mail and this is a problem I've had for a while.  I had it on my old macbook pro and on the one I've had for a couple of months.  I use ATT and I notice that occasionally emails will disappear from my "sent" box.  Sometimes if I close out of mac mail and reopen it will show up, other times the sent mail will not appear.
I am now trying to find an important mail I sent this afternoon and cannot.  I tried going to mailbox and clicked on "rebuild".  All the mail in my "in box" disappeared and appears to be doing something but the sent folder is in tact and the missing email is still missing.
I have researched this and it seems that this problem goes back years.  When I used Mac Outlook, I never had problems with mail disappearing.  I had other problems, though, like my mail refreshing and re-downloading all the saved mail on the server which is why I switched to Mac Mail.  I think I rather have hundreds of du much mail than randomly disappearing email.  Geez, is it that hard to get a decent Mac mail client that I dunno, um works???

Select the Accounts tab in the preference dialog, then select the affected account in the list on the left.
In the Account Information pane, select the correct server in the menu labeled
    Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
If there's only one server in the menu, select
    Edit SMTP Server List...
and add a new server with the correct settings. If you're not sure how to do that, try the Mail Setup Assistant.

  • Can not read new emails and the composed emails will not go to the Sent box!

After attaching an email three nights ago to an outgoing message, Thunderbird could not save the file to the "Sent" box. Since then I can not receive any new messages and when when attempting to send an outgoing message, I get an error message that says "There was an error saving the message to Sent. Retry?"

Hi, see if you can log into your WebMail in a Browser & delete that too large of eMail.

I have an iMac 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 with 16 GB memory and 1.12 TB storage running Yosemite 10.10.1 & Outlook 2011 for Mac.  For a while, sent emails went to a sent folder on the iMac so I have a collection of sent emails there.  I have attempted to move those sent emails from the iMac to my email server (IMAP), but without success.  Is there a way to move them to a sent box on my server so I can see them on other devices?  Many thanks for any help you can provide.

Go to: Apple > System Preferences > Universal Access and in the Seeing tab make sure that the Display Enhance contrast: is set to Normal.
Alternatly, try holding the  ⌃⌥⌘ (control command alt) keys and then pressing the , (comma) key a few times.

That changes things a little bit , login to icloud.com and see if you can find it in your sent folder.
If it is there you did send, just need to wait until you phone syncs "sent folder" perhaps on wifi.
If it is not, then I would say it is lost and you may have to send again. They have 20 megs limit, so make sure that message plus attachment is under that limit.

  • How do i save all my mail in my inbox and sent box?

    hello
i am going to upgrade my OSX to Snow Leopard
how do i save all my mail in my inbox and sent box then restore it when my new OSX is installed?
    thanks in advance
    tk

It's always good to have a backup, but Snow Leopard should leave all your data intact, just install new OS components & updated Apple Apps.
If you don't have room to back everything up...
    On Mail...
First Quit Mail, then I'd backup these two Mail folders, by right clicking on them in the Finder, then choose Archive/Compress.
    Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail
    Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail Downloads
(Could be a different folder here if you chose such in Mail Prefs)
Right click on that Mail folder, choose archive, you'll get everything in the folder, and the folder itself in a file called Mail.zip, move it to a safe place, same for the Mail Downloads folder... only the plist is separate.
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
    For Address Book, quit AB...
    Files...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.abd.plist
    Folders...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/com.apple.AddressBook/
If you do have room to back everything up...

  • Some emails I send are arriving with attachments but with no text in the body of the message. In the sent box my emails look OK. So it took me a while to know this was happening.

I have an Apple Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 with a 2.7 GHZ Intel Core 15 Processor. 8GB Memory.
Just discovered that some emails I have sent with attachments have arrived with the attachments OK but my message has disappeared from the email. In the Sent box, the email looks OK with message intact. Has anyone else experienced this? No idea what to do.

This is the Mac Pro desktop forum.
In the received message does the subject appear correctly?
Is just the body message field blank?
What app is the recipient using?
    Can they try another pp?
Is there anything strange in the body? Like special characters?

  • I have the number 396 next to my sent box but no messages in the box

In mail I find the number 396 next to my sent box but when I clic on the sent box there is no message inside to delete.
How can I get rid of the numer 396
    Thanks

Interesting ... glad you were able to check via webmail.
So one way to get rid of the sent messages number would be to restore your iPad.  That would, however, clear out the contents of all your email accounts.
If that would be OK for you, restore by plugging your iPad into the current version of iTunes on your computer (11.1.5).  Let it sync.  Then choose "Restore" from the iPad's summary page in iTunes.  You would then elect to restore from the iPad's backup.  Again, this would cause all email messages on your iPad to be lost.

I have, indeed, checked with my ISP and they do accept imap accounts. So I followed religiously their instructions, published in their setting e mail information for Mountain Lion website. The instructions were quite simple, and choosing imap was as easy as setting POP mail. however, the net result was that I could never connect with the servers to do anything with the mail. I know they are set up correctly, but when it tried to send mail, after a while an error message came up saying that it couldn't connect and gave me the option of dealing with a "connection doctor" or some such system. This I clicked on and noted that there were an awful lot of servers that it was trying to connect to some of which had been removed when I removed the setup addresses. The ones I wanted were, in fact, showing as connected!! It was obviously checking on anything that had been used in setting a server name from way back when and suffering with a severe bout of indigestion!
I think what really needs to happen is to get iMAC/Mountain Lion to regurgitate all that rubbish which is no longer a requirement, since I am only using three addresses, one from icloud and two from my ISP. I do not need the clogging up from redundant server names, but it seems that the MAC hangs on to everything just in case I may want to go back to them rather than set them from afresh!! I am not feeling too confident in trying to set the address that originally showed the problem, my BT one, and since this morning, it is almost working 100%, I'll leave well alone and see if it settles down. (One step forward and nineteen backwards!!)
    Cheers

  • Emails that I send from my iMac do not appear in the icloud sent box.

Emails that I send from my iMac do not appear in the icloud sent box.  Is it possible to have the sent folders in synch between my imac and the icloud?  Thanks for any help.

You can check the form history settings.
*Tools > Options > Privacy > History: "Remember search and form history"
The website may be using autocomplete=off in that field to prevent Firefox from saving and filling that data.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save form data.

  • Some SENT emails do not appear in SENT box

I have the latest Mavericks OS x operating system and fully updated. Some email I send do not appear in the SENT box. It is infuriating. I do not know whether they have reached their destination until I get a reply. Somestime I don't get a reply so where has the email gone. I have search all boxes, turned email accounts off and on, shut down my PC but still this problem persists.   I have an iPad  and a 5s iPhone and this problem does not occur with these devices so it is not account problem. I am with SKY YAHOO.   Derek

Downloading the new operating system Yosemite seems to have cleared this problem - for now !

  • Deleted messages from in box and sent box do not appear in trash

For years deleted messages from my in box and sent box appeared in the trash where I would hold them for a week or two just in case I had to retrieve a message I had deleted. About 6 months ago deleted messages stopped showing up in the trash. What do I do to get deleted messages to once again appear in the trash? I'm no computer geek... please be gentle with any suggestions. Thank You.
    Ron Mabey

While trying to find a solution, I am discovering my mail problem is much deeper than just messages not appearing in the "Sent" mailbox.  I have found some of them appearing in the "Trash" mailbox and some appearing there mulitple times, often with my account name in the "TO" field.  I'm also finding some unread mail there that should be in the "Junk" mailbox.  So it would appear there are many problems with ISO 7 and mail.  I have tried deleting and restablishing the account and two complete iPhone restores.  Neither helped. What is the biggest puzzle is that on my second iPhone, the one that upgraded without an error, mail is working perfectly well.  Has anyone found a solution to any mail problems on ISO 7 devices?  If so, please reply.
