Missing sent messages in PC suite after installing...

When i use pc suite to sent sms there is no copy found en the sent messages folder.
I checked the FAQ's and settings but nothing found yet.

I thought the 6301 was an S60 handset, but it isn't, it is in fact Series 40 5th Edition, Feature Pack 1.
I'm not sure why you are getting that problem then, have you tried checking for phone software updates?

I ran into this problem after reeinstalling XP on my machine. MSN tells you that other apps are using the cam, the driver seems messed up. Since I have seen several unresolved posts referring to this I figured I would post how to fix it here.
If you read somewhere else to go download the driver from sonyx, this will not fix your problem.
Instead, go into control panel, add hardware, tell it the hardware is already connected and it will show you all the devices that are connected to your pc, including the cam. Have it install the cam automatically. You've probably gotten this far already.
Now what you need to do is repeat this step for all the "Standard PCI to USB host controllers" that you see listed that are not yet installed.

Backup was done by blackberry ID of previous owner, after installing i chahged previus owner ID to my new ID, but now i don't have access to previous owner ID.
Now there is an error - ID of back up doesn't suit new blackberry ID.
I tried to use BlackBerry Backup Extractor to remove date to computer, then copy to the phone. But there is now BlackBerry Backup Extractor which works with Z10......
Maybe you know some prog which can help me restore data to computer? Then would be able to copy data to the phone.

I get a "missing fonts" message even if fonts are installed

I work on a Keynotes document at my work office and bring it home at night to continue making corrections. Both computers have the same system (OS X 10.8.5) smae Kenotes version (5.3) and same fonts installed (Helvetica Neeu family and Joanna MT family). When I open my keynotes document on my home computer, I always get the "missing fonts" message as if they were not in my computer. I do get an option in that window to replace fonts by other ones but when I scroll down the menu, I only the family of fonts and can't access the different styles in that family.... Anyone had that problem????

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I have tried with a few version of Helvetica and have really made sure I brought the same fonts from the office to my mac (as well as Joanna MT). Fonts are not corrupted in Font Book and all software versions are up to date and similar from home to office.
So I'm wondering if it would have anything to do with the use of templates (masters) in Keynote. Our document is constructed on a custom template and when I bring the document to my mac at home, the templates follow the document... but maybe i need to reload them or something?
Anyways, I have decided to plan a meeting at my Apple Store with a Keynote specialist to show him the problem in person... Hope this will help resolve the issue.

Missing Sent Messages in Mail 2.1.3

In Mail 2.1.3 on OS 10.4.11 the sent messages just disappeared on my POP accounts. The emlx files are not in the Library/Mail/account/Sent Messages mbox. Is there a way to find them or are they gone premanently? I have tried rebuilding the mailboxes, restarting, searching the hard drive for them. All mailboxes are set to never automatically delete. The messages are just gone. Any help?

Yes, you can quit Mail then move those back.

You are right I did the same.
It was a big mess when I did that. I had to reapply patches and re-set DIM settings.
I saw this posting by John in the forms.

Why I cannot assess deleted Apple mail messages in time machine after installing mountain lion from snow leopard.

Ever since I installed Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard, I cannot retrieve my deleted Apple mail messages from Time Machine. I could do it in the past using Snow Leopard. The effective date for the the non-retrival of deleted messages is the date I installed Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard. Any thoughts?

Mountain Lion appears to have given it an icon very much like an Archive box and put the "on My Mac" folder within that "Box" on both the back ups and the new Mail program - in fact it did it 6 times, which was the origional problem.

Yes, that's how Time Machine restores Mail messages, so it doesn't erase the current contents of an existing mailbox. You can then move them into the desired location.

IPad Mail not loading all message from Yahoo mail after installing iOS5

Yesterday I had Mail (on my iPad 1) set up for my wife and I (to retrieve Yahoo mail) while still under iOS 4.3.3 and it worked perfectly! ! !
Last night the iPad installed iOS5. Now on my wife's Mail, it shows 2 emails and asks to "Load More Messages. . ." 19 total, 4 unread". I tap the sentences, it act like it is going to do it but nothing. No change.
I have deleted the the Mail settings, powered OFF the iPad, relaunched it and the added the Yahoo mail account information all over again. I have done this 3 times but nothing has changed. Mail still won't retrieve all the Yahoo emails.

I would try changing the Remove copy from server after retrieving a message: setting to After one day instead. You may think this is weird, because it can only make the problem worse, right? Well, maybe not.
Maybe what is happening is that Mail encounters connection problems from time to time that prevent it from deleting certain messages right after being downloaded, and it doesn't try again after that. By telling Mail to remove the messages after some time, you're telling it to keep track of which messages have already been downloaded and must be removed. Mail will look for messages to be removed from the server each time it connects to it for downloading new messages. If it cannot remove them for some reason, it will try again at the next connection attempt...

Lost all messages, message app is blank after installing IOS8.3

Hi I updated my iPhone 5s to IOS8.3 yesterday. Once the update was completed, my iMessage is blank, i.e. the screen turns blank after I click on the message icon. I had about 2300 un-read text before the install. That number still shows on the icon. When I click it, my screen becomes blank (except the cell phone / wifi reception beacon and battery on top). The rest is entirely blank. After a while, the app would close and go back to home screen. It feel like the app tries to load my messages, but fails. I tried the followings things after reading online posts:
reset network settings - did nothing
reset settings - did something. my phone seems to start receiving text messages. I saw notices, but the app remains blank when clicked. my phone just vibrates every couple of minutes, like it's receiving messages
turn off imessage - did something. Once, I saw all my message came back. When I tried to reply to a text, the app closed itself. When I click to open again, the app become blank
Restore to factory settings - did nothing to messages
I'm now restoring it to a New Phone - wish me luck

Missing fonts in FrameMaker 9 even after installing Adobe Type Manager

Hi,
We are using Formata family fonts in our templates. We import the templates and don't see the font family.
We then installed the Adobe Type Manager and tried reimporting the template. No results.
We then edited the makers.ini file and added the Formata font in DefaultFamily, still we see the font as missing in the Paragraph Desiger and Catalog.
Any help in this regard is appriciated.
The FrameMaker version is 9 on Windows XP.

I need not the ATM on Windows XP or higher to install a font.
1. Open the \Windows\Fonts folder
2. Drag and Drop the font file otf, ttf or pfm (for ps fonts).
3. Then the font is available for Windows and for the applications.
4. Test it with Word and FrameMaker to choose this new font.
Additional information for FrameMaker and the maker.ini:
FrameMaker can differ Weight, Angles, Variations, Windows Weight and Angles only.
Indeed you can define the correct Family Name with information to the Windows font name and information.
That isn't longer important if you use FrameMaker on Windows platform, but it can be a great challenge
if you also work with Adobe InDesign.
InDesign works default with the correct Font Family name with Weight, Angles, Variations.

Ilife missing on Lion (mac Book Pro) after installing on new drive

Certified apple service installed the Lion os on a SDD drive in Mac Book Pro 15''. I received the Mac and on the same day went with a SDD drive to iStore so that they would replace the drives and install the OS on it.
The problem is that I don't see iLife on it and as far as I know it should be included. The app store doesn't even show it to me...
Any idea what to do??

Missing "sharing" option in system preferences after installing apple remote desktop client version 2.10

Hi All,
I installed a wrong version of Apple remote desktop client , 2.10 and the sharing menu under system preferences vanished. I tried to uninstall the Apple remote desktop with,

but no luck, but after restarting the macbook pro with lion 10.7.2, i see my sharing option enabled but when clicked, it says the system preference has to restart and confirming that it restarts in 32 bit mode and even after clciking the sharing option it says, "you can't open sharing preferences because it doesn't work on an intel-based mac"
. So i strongly believe the apple remote desktop is creating the issue.
Can someone help how to fix this please?

Same problem here. I manage several remote Macs, but I have one MacBook which I can get no ARD access to (black icon). I can ping the IP, I can SSH into the MacBook, the ARD and Remote Login services are checked ON, the firewall is OFF. The ARD service is configured to allow my admin user full access - however, I get nothing. I have no trouble getting into the other Macs.
Any ideas?

Deinstall previous version of Creative Suite after installing new CS 5.5?

I just installed new CS 5.5 software. Following the instructions, I did not first de-install the previous CS 4 version. I assumed that the installation of CS 5.5 would automatically de-install the prior version, but it did not. I found no advice concerning the need for deinstalling the prior version. Why? Doesn't it take up system resources? Or should it remain on the system in order to support documents created with the prior version? I have a Macbookpro with OS X, ver. 10.6.8. BTW, my partner is a PC IT guy, who thinks one should keep a tidy ship!

It depends on which applications you use and how much compatability you need with older versions. There is no need to remove CS4 other than it might free up a small amount of disk space.
There is also a good chance that the file associations for different Adobe documents will be affected after the removal of CS4.

have had a long and happy association with my 6070 and Windows XP Home Edition but since upgrading to XP Professional I can no longer connect my phone to my PC. All the drivers are installed as well as Nokia PC Suite, and I am using the same CA-42 cable that I used sucesfully before. All is well until I connect the 6070, as per instructions from PC Suit, and get to stage 3 of the connection and the blasted thing just wont do anything more. It appears that this is a common problem to which there appears to be no solution. Can anyone help me please.

i just noticed u said u had installed drivers as well as pc suite?
i would suggest u try this then:
uninstall any nokia connectivity cable drivers u can find under add/remove programs
also uninstall the nokia pc suite and pc connectivity solution
restart the computer then download the installer for the latest version of pc suite (6.86 currently)
run the installer and try again.
u dont have to install any other drivers as the current version of pc suite automatically installs all necessary drivers for u
