Missing shsmp.dll and libexpat.dll overnight

Everything has been working just fine with our instance of FMIS 3.5.
I had to reinstall it about a month ago because we upgraded to Windows 2008 Server (Standard 32bit)
This morning, I can't play any videos that have been running for over two weeks.
When I went to check if ther server instance was running, I started seeing the erros.
"The application has failed to start because SHSMP.DLL was nout found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
"The application has failed to start because LIBEXPAT.DLL was nout found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
Please help with whatever you can, this is our only video server and needless to say, we are literally completely offline.
Thank you,
Brian

Found the solution before the Forum Experts did.
Long story on the short side, we we're running FMIS 3.5.2
Did update, got hacked by someone who has nothing better to do with their time then cause headaches and business outages for real hard working Amercian Dream chasers.
So, re-installed with the latestest hot fixes and that replaced the missing files.
God help any hacker that I come face to face with from this day forward.

My computer popped up with an update from iTunes several days ago. I downloaded the update. When I went to open iTunes on my computer, it gives me the following error messages...
    Missing MSVCR80.dll file.
    Error 7 (Windows error 126)
I tried to download iTunes again from the website and repair the problem, to no avail.  I've tried several times, but cannot get it to open. I have a Windows 7 machine.  My iPhone 5 and iPad work fine and have not asked me to update. I've never had a problem with iTunes before.  I hate to delete it entirely from my computer and start over.  I'm afraid I'll lose all the music I have downloaded there. What do I do?

  • Missing mscrv80.dll file when updating itunes.  what is it and how can I get it back?

When updating itunes the new installation said I was missing mscrv80.dll file.  I've reinstalled but still doesn't work.  How can it be repaired?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

  • TS1717 missing MSVCR80.dll after iTunes update and reinstall

Running Windows 8 and did latest update for iTunes and now it wont run, tried reinstall numerous times, same result.  Missing MSVCR80.DLL file.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • Itunes   installing   missing MSVR dll and error  7

    Hi .
.Just  as others are having problems I downloaded the upgrade  for Itunes   now have a error 7  message and a MSVR80.dll missing- I unistalled and re-installed  . Fixed  Net 4  - no luck - did all that was said on Apple support  - did the "repair " program - no help
Is there a fix - ? Does Apple  monitor this site - I last my Itunes lib on my I pad  - which is not connected I use Windows Vista
    Any help out there

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • TS5179 I've been bitten by the "Missing MSVCR.dll file" problem when downloading the latest iTunes update (PC w/ Win-7 & Outlook-2007#. 'Have followed Apple's instructions of un-installing all Apple software, and re-installing it. #out of space...??)

I've been bitten by the "Missing MSVCR.dll file" problem when downloading the latest iTunes update, 11.4.62 (on a PC w/ Win-7 & Outlook-2007#. 'Have followed Apple's instructions of un-installing all Apple software, and re-installing it (Ugh).  First result Outlook couldn't find my 1,385 item contact file in iCloud, although the outlook distribution lists were there.  Second result, upon installing iCloud again, I have two iCloud contact files shown in outlook - "iCloud" & iCloud, within iCloud".  1,332 & 1,385 contacts respectively.
Plus an iCloud installation error message saying iCloud moved 6,835 files to a "deleted items folder" somewhere.  This is NOT fun at 72-yrs old...!!
So, how do I make sure I haven't lost anythying from Outlook?   Russ-AZ

Interesting response, Kappy  -  Back to original post: "First result: Outlook couldn't find my 1,385 item contact file in iCloud, although the outlook distribution lists were there (therefore, initially I had lost my contact file from Outlook).  Second result, upon installing iCloud again, I now have two iCloud contact files shown in Outlook - "iCloud" & iCloud, within iCloud".  W/ 1,332 & 1,385 contacts respectively.

You can safely assume that I have tried using it!   So, to make things a little clearer:
         1)  I now have two iCloud "contacts files", w/ a different total count. What's the difference?  Why the different toatl count?
         2)  Since re-installing the Apple software (part of the MSVCR" recovery instructions) "couldn't possible affected Outlook", why am I getting an iCloud installation error message saying iCloud moved 6,835 files to a "deleted items folder" somewhere.  What's in those files? And where are they?
Probably more important questions get down to:
         3)  Why is a basic Apple product upgrade "screwing-up Outlook"?  This iTunes upgrade, failing to install properly forced Outlook 2007 into a 2-min start-up cycle.  Which was fixed with this "Goat-Rpdeo" of re-installing MSVCR80.dll.
         4)  And under the latest release of iOS-7.0.4 on our iPhones, why is Apple now forcing us to use the iCloud to back-up our contacts, calendars & tasks, vs. allowing these files to be backed-up directly on our PC's via the USB cable?
Thanks again for your interest and comments.  - Russ-AZ
