It's possible that your iOS apps may have been moved.
Page 139 of the iPhone User Guide will show you how to reset the Home Screen layout:

Go to Settings > General > Reset, then choose an option:
Reset the Home screen layout: Returns the built-in apps to their original layout on the Home screen.

Zagg's Photopad is a free and nice editor. Rotating, cropping and filters to play with.
Snapseed has some cool filters, although personally I'm not sure it's worth the $5 i paid for it.

I have a problem with icloud photostream. It seemed to lock up some functions in Photos

After I downloaded icloud control panel and turned on photostream everything worked very well except that there were 599 photos loaded into a new file folder "My Photos"
Ever since then there is the little spinning circle on the screen. I also have lost several functions in Photos. I can not delete "My Photos" folder or anything in it
I have tried everything I can think of including a system reset.
I need some help with this one!

Missing ctrl functions in string edit

I have a string control open for editing. In program edit mode it accepts CTRL-C for copy etc. fine. In run mode, CTRL-C becomes just the letter, not the control. I have used string control with CTRL codes successfully in other projects. Is there some global command that would cause CTRL keys to be interpreted a plain keys?

Problem appears to be with the Menu. On entry into the editing code which had the CTRL function problem, I used the "Enable Menu Tracking" function to disable (False) the "Current VI' Menubar" so that attempts by the user to make menu selections while in the editing screen would be ignored.
If this is removed, the string editing function works correctly with CTRL functions etc.
If it is re-enabled, the string editing functions fails to properly receive and/or process CTRL functions.
Is there a problem with my concept of disabling the Menu while editing?
If so, is there another way to prevent the user from accessing the Menu when it is actually not available, i.e. during the edit?

New iPhone 6 missing some camera roll photos

So I got a new iPhone the other day and set it up from a backup of the old one which I had just made as I always do. Everything was fine except in camera roll it says all the photos are there 500 or so but the ones from a couple of weeks ago are missing. According to the numbers they should be there but it goes from 3 week old photos to the ones I've taken today. Any ideas?

I apprecaite you taking the time to reply.
Looking at your response it seems that somewhere along the process the backup the photos/backup got corrupted.
I did a fresh install and then managed to save nearly all the photos but accessing the indicvidual files in the backup set and doing a batch rename of the file extensions to .jpg. Once that was done I imported them in to the iPhone.
Took time to work all this out though, and I did have to reinstall the contacts from Outlook via GMail!

Switcher missing some functionality

I have had my new and first Mac for about 2 months now. I really like it but I find myself really missing a couple of things that is in Windows.
The very first thing that I miss and I keep trying to do it over and over and over is to be able to resize a window from any edge. I really miss that. It seems unintuitive to only be able to resize from just the one corner.
The other think I really miss is the file warning when you try to copy a file over another file. For instance if there are two files named red.gif and you move a second one into the same directory, OSX will ask you if you wish to replace this file, but it doesn't give you enough information to make the decision. In Windows, it will say something like:
"do you wish to replace red.gif 12 KB 10-10-2007 with red.gif 18KB 12-14-2007 ?"
In OSX I have to open two finder windows and compare the files manually before overwriting. In XP, the dialog gives me the information that I need.
I don't mean to be a complainer, but this is a feature that I really miss. I realize that it won't be added just because of me, but I would like to know how other switchers and oldtimers have worked around these two issues.
There are a few other issues. I will post them in another message.

There are apps designed for the iPhone that haven't translated well to iPad. I'm sure updates are in the works as we chat. Although you can cause the iPhone app to fill the screen of the iPad, it's format precludes operating in landscape mode. No iPhone app that has not been upgraded to work with the iPad will work in landscape orientation on the iPad. They remain fixed on the screen.
Any film above 720p you get from iTunes will downgrade to that definition when played on the iPad. They may downgrade more, depending on format.

Need A Photo Editing System--which Is Good?

On June 22nd my iMac decided to die out on me--I'm still hoping to get it repaired or if anything my data recovered. My former computer was still running on the Tiger edition of Safari. At the same time that I got that computer five years ago, I had also gotten a i800 Microtek scanner that came with PhotoShop Elements (version 4) and an HP Photosmart C3100 All-in-One printer.
Just yesterday I got an entirely new iMac with of course the OS X Lion edition--so now the scramble to find out if things are compatible---for instance--would my photo scanner still be compatible? I'm almost 100% certain the Photoshop WON'T be compatible and was all set of thinking of getting the newer version (Elements 10) however, I was reading the reviews here by others and none seem to be happy with it---the "regular" Photoshop is out of question for my budget --so-what about Aperture?
Also--I'm one of the few people who DOES NOT have a digital camera! Yes I still use a 35mmfilm camera thus the reason I got the photo scanner in the first place to scan to digitze my images....so will scanned images from film work in Aperture (and/or iPhoto)??? I REALLY need some kind of photo-editing software!
Okay and while I'm at it---how about that printer of mine? It too was designed for the Tiger edition so therefore I'm assuming it's not compatible either--any recommodations and do I need to get a new printer--which kind? Please remember I'm on fixed income so my budget is rahter tight (to put it mildly)

why are you using EKBE? this is the PO history, means it has the good receipt and invoice receipts etc.
So if you maintain a batch number in PO item, and the PO has not yet any history, then it is obvious that this PO will not appear in your query.
Use EKPO table if you refer to the batch number in PO item.

Editing help for a newbie :) baby photo editing effect

hello everyone Firtly im sorry if i am posting in totally the wrong area but its the first time i have been on the site so not too sure of my way around lol
Im in desperate need of some help with photo editing in cs3.
basically i have seen some baby photos someone i 'know' has taken where a lovely effect has been applied. I asked her how and this is what she said:
'I create a fill layer of a shade of the middle tone of the sikin colour reduce the opacity, then add a texture mask to bring back a bit more of the features and paint it on the areas .. then just sharpen areas such as eyes nose and mouth .. and highlights to the corners of the eyes and centre of the mouth .. and then select high pass as a mask and that makes the image pop out a little bit'
But being a newbie i have no idea how to do any of this!! lol i know my way around photo shop a bit but just afetr ANYONE who can help me step by step pretty pretty please?
here are 2 examples of the images that use the effect incase that makes it easier for anyone to know what i mean lol (hope the links work)

Nor sure what she means with »texture mask«, but possibly just applying heavy noise (Filter > Noise > Add Noise) on the Layer Mask.
then just sharpen areas such as eyes nose and mouth ..
One option is applying Filter > Sharpening > Unsharp Mask to a copy of the Smart Object and setting it to Blend Mode Luminance and painting on its Layer Mask.

This could be done with a Curves- or Levels Adjustment Layer.

That seems more than a little unclear to me – making a Selection of a High Pass-result and using it as a Mask for what?
One can use the High Pass Filter for sharpening.

What graphics/photo editing software do you use with dreamweaver?

I just purchased Dreamweaver CS5 a few days ago.
I'm using the demo version of Fireworks CS5 and have played around a bit with the demo version of photoshop element 8.
I'm wondering if I would be able to do everything with photoshop CS5 that I'm able to do in Fireworks CS5 and photoshop elements.
Guess I could ask this question in the photoshop forum, but I really wanted to hear from developers and designers that use dreamweaver too.
What would you suggest to use for a graphics/photo editing program.

Here is my thinking. I have used free html editors for years. Mostly first page from http://www.evrsoft.com/.
Then I decided to try the demo of dreamweaver after reading about the new integrated CMS support.
After just a couple weeks of using dreamweaver I purchased it. I like dreamweaver much better then the free editors I have used over the years.
So onto graphics/photo editing software. I have also used simple and free photo editing programs over the years. I have decided to try and learn not only more code, but also try to gain some graphic skills.
Most of what I would be doing would be graphics for the web, but I also need some kind of photo editing tools.
So do I buy just fireworks CS5 and use it for not only graphics, but to also edit photos.
Do I purchase both Fireworks and photoshop elements 9 or should I spend a little more and go with photoshop CS5.
Is photoshop CS5 more stable then fireworks or photoshop elements?
I'm running windows 64 bit system with a i3 and 4 gig of ram with duel monitors.

PB G4 (2002) adequate for photo-editing now?

I bought a G4 for college in 2002, used it for a year and a half, and then boxed it up (idiotic, I know). Now, my wife would like to start some heavy-duty photo editing using the latest photoshop. Can the G4 handle this or do we need to look at newer models? I'm willing to put in several hundred to try to get the powerbook up to snuff, but I don't want to throw money away on a machine that will ultimately be inadequate. Thanks!

OK, so 2002 means that computer is going to behave like any other computer that is nearly an entire decade old. It won't cut it. I have just switched from FCP to Premiere Pro, and there are some functions, that I'm used to in FCP, that I can't seem to find in PP. 1. Mouse scrolling in the timeline, up/down makes the timeline scroll right/left, when I want it to show hidden tracks (up/down) 2. I would like to be able to set the timelone up, so all clips are unlinked when it is dropped onto it. Not having to "right-click" and "unlink" each clip. 3. Adding transitions to a selection of clips would also be great. And not having to place the CTI over the edit to add the transition. Everything else seems to run as I'm used to, when I have setup my keyboard shortcuts. Anyone have ideas howto get PP to do the things I'm missing. Thomas (o:

Nada. Lots of people want this (not me), but you can file a feature request here: Adobe Feature Request/Bug Report Form

I don't believe there is a way to do this at the application level--if there is, I'm not aware of it--but if you drop all your clips into a sequence, you can select them all and unlink in one fell swoop. Not exactly the same, so if you want the same, do the Feature Request Thang

Can be done; just select all clips you want transitions between, and go to Sequence > Apply Default Transitions to Selection. If you select just video (hold down Alt or I think Opt on a Mac) or just audio, you'll add transitions to just those, but by default, it adds both audio and video. Note that this requires setting up a default transition (right-click on one in the Effects Panel), and probably your desired duration in the program settings.
And not having to place the CTI over the edit to add the transition.
Not sure I'm following you. You don't have to have the CTI... I mean, playhead (they changed the name in CS5.5... grr) over a transition to edit it. Just select it and you can tweak it in the Effects Controls panel.

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Missing some basic functionality

I seem to be missing some basic functionality, like switching to tty1-n using Ctrl+Alt+F1-n. I can't begin to guess what this is related to, as after several installs I've never experienced that to be missing. Can anyone point me in the right directions? Thanks.

Thanks for the input. I was finally able to find some test conditions that duplicated the problem, and it is either that or some other out-of-spec diffraction distortion. So I sent it off for repair.
