Missing Synch issue

I cannot Synch my BB all of a sudden. This is what I get....
Error connecting to device. You may need to restart The Missing Sync on the device if problems persist.
How do I delete an Application? Is this what I need to do?

Have you tried pulling out the battery with the phone on and then replacing it to reboot the phone?

i purchased 2 books for my iPad and they downloaded successfully.  They show up in iTunes when my iPad is connected to my Mac but do not show up on the Mac.  Is this a synch issue?  When I click the Synch box I am warned that downloads on my iPad will be erased.  Is that true?  My ultimate goad is to be able to read the books on my iPhone as well.  Thanks.

You should be able to copy them to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync them to the iPhone (or you could re-download them directly on the iPhone)

  • Synching Issues with iphone 4/ itunes

When attempting to synch my iphone with itunes, the synch cannot progress past the "backing up" stage. Why?? Getting a bit frustrated now to be honest.
Every time I plug my phone into the computer, itunes informs me of the latest update required (4.3.5), but because of the synching issue, I obviously can't get the new update.
    any help appreciated

"iTunes could not back up the iPhone "Guru's iPhone" because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone. Delete the backup for this iPhone, then try again."
The above is the error message I receive when trying to upgrade/ synch my iPhone with iTunes on my Laptop. I have the latest version of iTunes available (10.4.1)

  • Audio synch issues in QT

My project displays fine in PE8. No audio synch issues in the preview. After outputting the project to a quicktime movie withe LAN setting the audio becomes seems to run faster than the video, becoming more and more out of synch as the movie plays. Any ideas what might cause such an issue?

The Stream info in MPEG streamclip for files from both cameras gives me this info:
    Bitrate: 30.31 Mpbs
    Video Tracks:
    DV/DVCPRO - NTSC, 720x480, 16:9, 29.9699999999999 fps, 28.77 Mbps
    Audio Tracks:

I don't know if this helps.

  • 12 bit audio synch issues

Hey all. I have a queation regarding 12 bit audio synch problems. I have digitized a tape recorded with 12 bit audio and am just now coming into video/audio synch issues and was wondering if anyone might have a workflow suggestion. Soecific questions are -
1 - Can I export the troubled clips to quicktime/ resample them at 16 bit and reimport?
2 - Some of the clips I already have edited and are in synch, do I need to correct them as well or will final cut do that on export?
3 - If I get a 12 bit/16 bit mixed bag on my timeline, can I export the mix to 2 track and convert before exporting it to compression?
ANy suggestions on how to work through this would be appreciated. I seem to have a lot of people coming to me with this setting and would like to know of any viable workflow solutions.
    Thanks

    1. Yes. Quicktime Pro, iTunes or third party audio editing software such as Peak can resample to 48khz/ 16 bit.
    2. It would be best if you can get everything in the timeline to be 48khz/16 bit.
    3. See #2.
Dope slap these fools who bring you 32khz stuff. Charge them MUCHO extra for your time.

  • Audio Synch issue

    Hi,
So I have a .mov source file that contains footage captured from a Sony MiniDV camera (don't ask me why we were still using that in November of last year) and I believe I possibly screwed up the capture settings. The footage is 50 minutes of uncut interview and the audio gradually falls out of synch so that by the end it's about a half to a full second slower than the video. We need to edit the file simply to trim the ends so we have a clean fade in and out.
Here's the info on the file as displayed by the Finder
I imported it into Premiere Pro CS6, put it onto a sequence, and clicked "change sequence settings" to match the clip settings.
    Here are the resulting settings:
I unlinked the audio track and moved it so that the sound of the two people high fiving was synched with the video. I cut both the video and audio tracks at that frame, deleted what came after the cut, and moved the audio back to its original position. I then looked at the duration of the video track, and adjusted the duration of the audio track to match. The result was that the audio speed was adjusted to 100.03%, and appeared synched throughout the video.
I thought I had solved my problem; however, when I exported the video the audio went back to falling out of synch slowly, exactly as it does in the source file.
I exported it initially as Format: H.264, Preset: NTSC DV. Then I exported it as H.264, Youtube HD 720p 23.976. Neither worked. The sample rate for both was 48 kHz, so unless I am mistaken, that matched the rate from the source audio.
This is beyond my technical ability and I don't know where to begin fixing it at this point. I no longer have the tape that the footage was on so I can't recapture it. How do I synch the audio and video?
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Collin

Yes, the second export that I tried was with the Preset that is YouTube HD 720p 23.976. I've done this before with DV footage and it works fine, all that happens is that there are two thick black bars on the sides of the video. I only did this for one of the exports on this particular project though. The first time I tried to export it it was with the NTSC DV preset, and the synch issue was still a problem. So it is independent of the pixel ratio.

  • Lip Synch Issue?

Is anyone else experiencing a significant lip synch issue when using an optical (sound) / HDMI (video) setup?
I've been experiencing this since the new iPlayer update on a black box a couple of months ago to some degree.  It wasn't too bad, but I had the box replaced last week when it developed a hardware fault.  It had the non iPlayer release (bliss!), but on Monday the new update was applied overnight.  The sound issue has come back with a vengeance - a lot worse than before.  This is the first time I have used the latest (new style) release.  This is happening on live TV.
After almost 3 years of uninterupted stable service, this iPlayer nonsense has really got me considering ditching Vision...
    Thanks, Mark.

    Guyincognito76 wrote:
Urm? And why aren't you using HDMI for the sound as well, is the HDMI going into the telly and the optical into a surround?
If the Vision box is playing sound correctly if connected directly to the TV then it must be the surround.
It's connected to a surround sound receiver that doesn't have HDMI inputs (just optical and component connections).  It's not the receiver that is the problem as it works perfectly with BluRay, Wii, and Freesat.  It also worked with no issues on the Vision box have until the new software release was applied on Monday.
The BT engineer that came out to fix the fault with the previous bit of kit admitted that the hardware is very reliable, but the software releases have caused a lot of issues for them.  A bit of extra testing would be good before BT ship these releases out to everyone.

  • MS Outlook 2003 and Iphone 2G calendar synching issues

    hi,
I have just recently (after a very long IPhone download) am having synch issues. Some of my appointments are on the Iphone but not seen on Outlook. I read something about a com add in but when I tried to check this and add, my outlook didn't have this option. I am very aggravated!!!! I am in sales and have many appts during the day and now I am afraid I am going to forget one if i don't check both phone and outlook.. Please help!!!!
    Janet

This is causing alot of problems no idea what percentage of windows users sync'ing with Outlook this is effecting but a lot of unhappy campers out there.
For a constantly updating discussion on this try an independent site:
http://getsatisfaction.com/apple/topics/myiphone_calendar_will_not_sync_with_outlook2007 Covers 2003 Outlook too. - (Scroll down to 16th July)
Apple although acknowledged the problem, now 2 weeks ago seem in no hurry to correct it, something to do with trying to sell MobileMe a cynic may say? Problem has mean't alot of businesses returning iphones, exchanging for Blackberries or just trying to revert back to their smartphones or ppc's.
This added to the problems of bluetooth handsfree kits not working with voicemail and 3G problems I suspect Apple are wishing they never released Firmware 2.0 and iTunes 7.7.
We are all hoping for a swift patch for this critical problem but then again we were doing that 2 weeks ago too... until then at least my XDA Orbit still works.
Repeating the appointment once so it is a reoccuring one day appointment has proved to work in the meantime - major pain though. I am testing Dionhall's fix at the moment, it sounds as if it is fixing the problem for most users. (See link above)

  • Suddenly Comcast Sportsnet HD channel has lip synch issues

The past few days, Channel 577, which is Comcast Sportsnet New England in my (Boston) area, has lip synch issues. It appears to be the only channel with this issue, and the SD version of the CSNNE station (77) is fine. Since it is only this one channel I believe it must be something with the station itself, but I'm wondering if I can fix it myself somehow. Perhaps reset of the set-top box, or unplug and plug in the HDMI cable again? It's just this one channel, though, so I'm trying to avoid any changes of settings on my receiver, set top box or TV, etc.
Any ideas? Or should I just report this to Verizon's support line?
    Thanks.

are you watching on a dvr? I've found sometimes that when I am watching on my dvr and a lip sync issue crops up, I can pause the show for 2-3 seconds and then press play (so I am watching it "delayed") and that solves the problem. Dont know why this works but it does most of the time for me. YMMV

  • Synch issue with icloud

    Hello,
I have upgraded to iOS5 last week (iphone4).
I have activated iCloud and chose to synch everything except mails and notes.
When I go to iCloud.com from my computer, I have :
    - only 4 contacts in "contacts" while I have 300+ in my iphone
    - nothing in calendar, while I have a lot in my iphone
    - no "photostream" link, so I don't know how to see my pictures in iCloud.com
I have connected my iPhone to personnal wi-fi and to power during many days.
How can I solve this synch issue ?
    Thx
    Adrien

If you mean that a new reminder entered on one device doesn't show up on other devices then check that
    1)  The other devices are logged into the same icloud account and have reminders turned on (settings>icloud), and
    2)  that the remider is in the "icloud" group, and not in the "on my ipod" or whatever group.

  • More Exchange synch issues

I have recently acquired an IPhone 4 (not 4s).  I have it synched with my corporate email/calendar (exchange).  However, I am experiencing annoying issues.
If I accept a meeting request (either 1 time or recurring) on my desktop, the meeting shows up on my iPhone, however, If I view the meeting on the calendar, the options are there to accept/decline.  Why? I've already accepted it.
If I accept a recurring meeting request on my IPhone, it prompts me to accept for either the current appointment (first in the list) or for all appointments.  If I accept all then go to a date in the future and open the meeting request, the prompts are there to accept/decline? Why? I've already accepted it.  If I then click the accept option, it will send a reply to the sender.
Is there a setting I'm missing that is preventing this from working as expected? Or is this a "that is just the way it was designed and I have to live with it" kind of thing?
My corporate email is the only account I have synched (besides icloud).

I found one post on another site indicting they had same issue, however, the solution they used is not my issue.
    From the other site:
"To get the iPhone to recognize that a meeting request has been responded to in Outlook so it stops asking you to accept/decline, do the following in Outlook (This should work for Outlook 2003 and 2007, not sure about other versions):  Go to Tools->Options->Email Options->Advanced Email Options.  Look for the item called "Delete meeting request form Inbox when responding" and make sure it is selected.
If it was already selected then you have a different issue then I did.  This has solved my problem 100%."
I already had the option selected, it was set up before I even had an iPhone.

  • Email and Synching issues

How do I get my Hotmail account to synch with my droid.
If I delete an email on my computer --- it still shows on my phone.  If I delete an email in my phone....it does not update on my computer.  I am hitting the refresh but guessing there is something else missing.
Or have I purchased a phone where now I have to keep up my email in two locations....I am not going to be happy if that is the case!

  • Audio/video synch issues

    Hi-
I *Just* got a new Mac Pro last night and installed FCS with FCP 7.  Updated everything.
I captured NTSC Dv video in ns 48K from my Sony HVR-m25U via firewire. The audio/video are a little out of synch.
It's been a few years since I've upgraded FCP.  My last version was 5.1.  Is there soemthing in preferences I should or should NOT check?  I vaguely remember this issue from years ago but can't remember what it was.
Also, I currently only have 3gb of the installed memory int eh amchine.  16 gb are arriving on Wednesday.  Could this be a problem?
    thanks!!

    Thanks for clarifying!
I am monitoring the audio through Bose speakers that are connected to the audio output of the compute
If you go to the menu View > Audio Playback, what is selected?
"Default"  Audio follows video is grayed out.
if you go to the menu View > Video Playback, what is selected?
A grayed out  "(Missing) Apple Firewire NTSC"

  • Hot Synch issue-accidently synch with another person

Some help would be great.  I accidently hot synched with a friend's computer.  Now her name is at the top of my Palm screen when I try to hot synch, and also on my palm desktop hot synch.  I am unable to hot synch anything.  What should I do??  I tried to restart, and her name is still there.  what do I do??  Thank you
    Post relates to: Palm TX

Was this the first Hotsync you have ever done?  There really isn't a way you can "accidentally" HotSync to another name.  A blank device will trigger Palm Desktop to ask you "Create a New User" or "Use and Existing Account".  You will have to pick one of the options.  If you chose the latter and picked her name, then that's where all the info came from.
Hard Reset your device to start over again.  When you HotSync to your computer, pick "Create a New User" and choose a name you wish.

  • IPhone Outlook calendar synch issue

My new iPhone does synch with my Outlook 2007 calendar, but only some, not all, of the calendar items actually are copied over to the phone. When I create an event on the phone, it does synch back to the computer.
    Any idea what's happening here?

Similar, if not same, issue here, as no calendar items come across from the computer. While I run both OSX and PC, the phone uses wife's Dell running XP pro, and it's still no joy. Running latest OS and outlook patches, etc.
I would expect coders are still working on a fix...bought the phone expressly for this purpose--while the other features are great, until this is fixed, it's a rather large thorn.
If the definitive steps to a fix are arrived at, I am all ears...
