Missing Task App and MP3 Music Files

Hello! I've reset my phone to factory default recently. I can't seem to find the Task App as well as the pre-loaded MP3 music files that can be found in the Walkman app when you bought the phone.
Any idea where I can download these?
Thanks!

Task app should be downloadable from google play or come with a future update.Did you try that?About the songs, you should tell someone who has the compact to send them to you.

  • Streamed MP3 music files losing first few seconds

My Apple TV seems to drop the first few seconds of MP3 music files when they are streamed from iTunes, but not when they are synced to the Apple TV.
The number of seconds that are dropped varies from none at all for some songs to 20, or much more than that ... but seemingly never more than a minute.
When I select one certain song in a particular playlist -- "Song for the Mira" by the Garrison Bros. -- the time shown is 5:19. When I press play on the Apple TV remote the time changes to 5:00, very briefly ... just before the Apple TV starts to play the song with its first 19 seconds missing, as if it were really a 5:00 song.
From that time on (unless I reload the iTunes library) every time I select the same song from any playlist, or from under Songs, or Albums, or whatever, the time is always shown right away as 5:00. So Apple TV is "remembering" the time of the song.
If I cause Apple TV to reload that iTunes library, the time goes back to 5:19 until I actually play the song again, at which time it becomes 5:00 again.
The amount of time that is sliced off from the beginning of a song is always consistent for that song. So if the amount is 12 seconds one time for a particular song, it is always 12 seconds.
I have not altered the start or end points of affected songs in iTunes.
As far as I can tell, this never happens with Protected AACs.
It never happens with synced copies of the MP3s, only with streamed playback.
I have the latest versions of iTunes (7.3.2) and of the Apple TV software (1.1).
Restoring the Apple TV to factory settings, re-downloading the software, etc., have no effect on the problem. Nor does restarting my iMac, which is running OS X 10.4.10. Nor does restarting the various base stations on my wireless network, all of which have the latest firmware.
Anyone else have a problem with the beginnings of streamed MP3s being truncated? Anyone know what to do about it? Thanks.

Since my last post to this thread I have discovered:
    (1) I was wrong in thinking there is no pattern to the number of seconds lopped off at the beginning of various MP3s when streamed to my Apple TV. Actually, I have found that the same number of seconds is dropped from every song in a particular album or compilation!
So my "Sounds of Nova Scotia, Vol. 1" compilation -- which contains the "Song for the Mira" that is reduced from 5:19 to 5:00 at the start of Apple TV's streamed playback -- has 19 seconds removed at the start of every track when its tracks are streamed to Apple TV. (It does not appear to be significant that this particular track seems to be rounded to the nearest minute. Cutting the first 19 seconds off the other tracks in the compilation does not bring them to an even minute.)
My Beatles' "Abbey Road" album has not 19 but 30 seconds dropped at the start of every streamed track!
    (2) I was also wrong in reporting that the time change from, say, 5:19 to 5:00 is "remembered" by Apple TV the next time I select the affected track from a list on the TV screen. Actually, the next time I select the track, it shows up as 5:19 again. But if I press Play, that changes to 5:00 in the split second just before the track actually starts to play ... and then the progress bar that appears at that point, when the actual song is being played, reflects a 5:00 total time, not 5:19.
To recap what I said before, this happens only when I stream (even from the syncing iTunes), not when I play a synced copy. AACs are unaffected. Not all MP3s seem to be affected, though all in an affected album or compilation are affected the same way, by having an identical number of seconds lopped off. I have the latest software/firmware in all my devices. Restarts/resets do not help. The problem persists in copies of copies of the affected MP3 tracks streamed from iTunes _on my other Mac_, a MacBook Pro. The problem does not occur when I play the tracks right in iTunes on either machine. I am not using manually set start and stop times on the affected tracks in iTunes. I do not have *Part of a Gapless Album* or *Remember Playback Position* set in Info in iTunes Preferences, though I have tried setting *Part of a Gapless Album*, with no effect on the problem.
Anyone have any more ideas as to what might be causing this? Thanks.

  • How To Transfer MP3 Music Files At A 96kb speed, From A CD To A Zen Mic

I have a couple of CDs with MP3 music files on them. One problem is that the music is recorded at various speeds from 28 to 320kbs. I know of to transfer the files over, but I can't seem to lower the speed down to 96kb. I want to know if it is possible to change the recording speed to 96kb when transferring MP3 files from a CD source? Thanx

You can of course use one of a number of MP3 converters to change the track quality e.g. Creative's MediaSource converter. Be aware that dropping the bit-rate isn't the best approach, it's better to encode from the original CD.
And as others have said, I would strongly recommend staying at 28kbit/s for MP3 (using LAME) or at least listen to a test track or two before encoding the lot.

You now need to get your pictures back! The similar to you, after I updated my iPad Mini, I can't get my some files on device. I tried many ways, fortunately, I got a tool from http://tinyurl.com/Data-Recovery-iPhone to help me recover lost files easily! It supports iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc iOS devices!

  • I want to upgrade to Mavericks. Will I need to reinstall all of my apps and copy my files back to the hard drive?  I have not installed an OS on a Mac before and I'm wondering whether it is as involved as on a PC.

I want to upgrade to Mavericks. Will I need to reinstall all of my apps and copy my files back to the hard drive?  I have not installed an OS on a Mac before and I'm wondering whether it is as involved as on a PC.

Short answer: You do NOT have to reinstall all your apps and copy your files back.
Longer answer: Upgrading the OS does not touch any user files. Upgrading the OS should not interfere with any applications which are compatible with Mavericks.  In my experience non-Apple apps are generally left unchanged by the upgrade.  It is possible that some apps may need to be upgraded. One good resource for checking application compatibility is RoaringApps.
Finally, it is always wise to backup everything, just in case.

  • My iphone was stolen and now the find my iphone is disabled on it. i have personal infos on the apps and own music in the music app and i need to make sure they're secured or erased :((( carrier blocked the phone

Help me please I want to make sure the thief couldn't open the phone and the apps and the music since it all carries personal information and are very important to me. How do I make sure the phone can no longer be used for anything?

If the carrier blocked it, that just means the SIM card in it can't be used to make calls or access the data network.
A 4 digit passcode can obviously be broken. How easily depends on the code you used and whether the thief knows anything about you. In all likelihood, the thief couldn't care less about your data. They want the phone, which has real monetary value.
Next time, turn on Find my iPhone.

  • Moving to a new computer. How do I move my Apps and Purchased music over?

Can anyone help me understand what have to do to move my Apps and Purchased music to a new computer? There seem to be lots of articles about it but no single set of steps. I will transfer all my non-iTunes library and rebuild the library, etc. But how do I get the apps and purchases moved over? And how to make sure I don't reset everything and not be able to get it back? I have all my purchased music on the iPod.
    iPod Touch 3.1

does this also take care of the apps?
    Yes.
Tell me if I am wrong, but if I set hook up the iPod to a different computer, does it not wipe everything out before setting up the new partnership?
Confirmation is required before anything is deleted from the iPod in that case. Items are only deleted without warning if the iPod is set to sync automatically with an iTunes library which that content has been deleted from.

  • My music won't sync and unkown music files

#1-i have ringtones and test music files that appear in my music files and i dont know where they come from. #2-I also have voice files for maps in my music files. ironically though, the voice files are not working with maps....i want to remove them from my playlist but they are not showing up in the ovi suite

probably best to connect it in mass storage mode then remove the files that way, where did the voice files come from? ovi maps doesn't do voice navigation on the n900.

  • Using Windows 8 and can't authorize my computer to upload apps and play music on my new laptop.  What do I need to do to fix problem.

Using Windows 8 and can't authorize my computer to upload apps and play music on my new laptop.  There is no "authorize computer" in a drop down menu as suggested in iTune store or its support page. What do I need to do to fix problem?

MY personal thinks to Radez29. Yes, it is now authorized. BUT, I have an obvious question and an obvious statement.
Question......why, in my many emails to/from Apple support, was this simple solution not given to me?
Statement.......Apple should consider "terminating" the present employees and hiring Radez29. He obviously knows a LOT more than the Apple support team.
AGAIN, my sincere thanks to Radez29 for this solution.

  • HT1386 Will apps and/or music be erased from iPod if synced to a computer other than orginally used?

Will apps and or/music be erased from iPod if synced to a computer other than original one used?

    Yes. To avoid that:
    - Transfer iTunes purchases to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music by using a thrid-party program like one of those discussed here:
    Copy music
    - Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up.
    - Restore the iPod from that backup.
The computer will now be your syncing computer in the future. Note that the backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music.

  • How can I get my Mac to read my Sansa Fuse mp3 music files and sync with iTunes?

I have a SanDisk Sansa Fuse and my computer recognizes that it's pluged in but my music files are shown as empty on the computer.  My Mac is not reading my music files.  My goal is to transfer the music I currently have on my Sansa Fuse to my iTunes library.  Help!

.exe files are Windows Applications and therefore they will not run under Mac OS X.
You will need to either :-
    1. Install BootCamp (Apple), then purchase and install a copy of Windows.
    2. Purchase a copy of Parallels and a copy of Windows, install both.
Both of these solutions will allow you to run Windows apps on your Mac.
Remember though that when you are running Windows in BootCamp you will not be able to use iMovie. It may also not be very easy to move content from the Windows applications into iMovie.

  • How do I add an MP3 music file to my website?

I have searched the web to try and find out how to add music clips to my website. I sing in several jazz groups and want visitors to be able to hear various styles of music that the bands I play in sound like. I understand that I insert the plug in icon, but then how do I get a "player" to show up and how do I set the properties to make this work? I want the visitor to click on the title of the song and then be able to hear that song. I know that the mp3 file needs to be in my assets. There isn't a lot of clear information for doing this. Thanks for any help.

With DreamWeaver or any text editor you can create an HTML file that has hyperlinks to your mp3 audio files.  But that would mean that the end-user would be downloading your song to their computer.  If you simply want the user to play the song without being able to download I would look into the WordPress mp3 widget that you can search for online and utilize that plug-in.  It is Flash based.  Which means that ipad, iphone, and ipod touch users won't be able to see your song.  However bringing up the point of Flash, if you know the software well enough you could create a Flash-based mp3 audio player to contain your songs and have them played over the internet.  The end-user would never have to download the song, they can just push a "play" button.
I'm thinking though that you might also be able to use HTML buttons (similar to a Submit button) which uses Javascript for interactivity instead of Flash.  So the end-user would click on the HTML Play button and the song would play.  But you would have to know javascript for that to work properly.  ipad, iphone, and ipod touch users WOULD be able to see javascript buttons and use them as opposed to Flash-based players.

  • Alright guys I need some help here with itunes and my music files

Basically, I've had two apple accounts in the past like 4 years.  One day I connect my Ipod touch to my computer and downloaded an update from Itunes, not knowing that it erases all your content.  I didnt have my music files backed up either, so I ended up losing over $300 worth of music and apps.  Ever since then I never updated my touch, from the fear of losing my music.  Now that I have my own apple account, I have music files from the first account and my account.  My question is how can I back both of these groups of files up and update my ipod without losing any of this content!?  I would really appreciate a step by step process etc.  Thanks guys for helping me out!

  • Help ? Nokia 5800 Xpress skips MP3 music file

    Phone has latest firmware.
The music mp3 files (at 192kbps or above) were all ripped from CD, no DRM involved.
I copy them onto the phone memory card (8gb).  I use drag-and-drop to do this on
Windows Vista. When connecting the phone USB cable select the 'Media Transfer' option.
The tracks all play fine on the PC. Some play fine on the phone, but many it plays just a few
seconds of, skips some seconds, plays some more, jumps to the next track etc. I get only
perhaps 30-40 seconds from each track. Any ideas why it might be doing this????
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I found a fix. Nokia Care told me to select 'Media Transfer' when connecting the phone to the PC via USB to copy music files. This did not work, then they ran out of ideas.
Googling around I found another Nokia webpage that said to select 'Mass Storage' instead. This works fine (when simply drag-dropping music files in Windows onto the memory card). No more skipping
