MISSING Template Selection - BusinessObjects Enterprise Integration Kit

Hello,
I have the "com.businessobjects.pct.masteriview.par" imported. According to the description should now when you create a new iView in the selection of templates "BusinessObjects Integration Kit iView template" is available. This does not work! I did not see this option available.
Can someone help me? I went in front after this documentation (C5)

Experts,
We are going to prototype Xcelsius and Analysis on SAP BI data. For this reason we are going to implement the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Integration Kit. As in we are getting a trial version from SAP. We have built a SAP BI Client 7 with ehancement pack 1 SP6 on a AIX server.
Do you know whether we need addiotional hardware to install the BO software. I presume one needs an application server of some sort? What is best practice in this, machine wise, operating system etc?
Though there is a lot of documentation availbale on the web, I cant find a simple server architecture.
I am useing the following documents as a guide, it says BO 3.0 but also relevant for 3.1 I presume?

Missing files in BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5/Web Content/bin folder?

I am getting the following error when I try to start BusinessObjects Enterprise .NET Administration Launchpad.

It seems it can't find a file or set of files in ///C:/Program Files/Business Objects/BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5/Web Content/bin. I looked in this folder and the only file there is WCA_Enterprise.dll.
This all was working last week and I haven't run any updates so I'm not sure what happened to the files if, in fact, there were any to begin with.
Is there a simple way to get these files back?

I have been searching this forum for quite some time trying to find the download link for the Integration Kit, but none of the links I was finding worked. Thanks Ingo! I realized (while following your link) that my access profile was not containing enough roles to download the packages from the Marketplace. So, I have downloaded the installation package and installed the BusinessObjects SAP Integration Kit XI3.1. However, during the installation process I received the following error message (sorry if it is alredy the n-th time it is mentioned in this forum): "Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\CrystalExtension.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147024769. Contact your support personnlel." And the buttons - Abort, Retry, Ignore. I have chosen Ignore and the installation has finished "successfully".
But when I start Crystal Reports now, and I am trying to use the Open command on the SAP menu, Crystal Reports shuts down (and Windows starts looking for a "solution of the problem" - without any result, of course).
Could this Crystal Reports shutdown be the result of that .dll registration error during the installation, or it is other known issue of the Integration Kit? Thanks a lot for any idea.

BusinessObjects Portal Integration - iView Template Missing

I have installed my BusinessObjects for Portal as follows:
1. We already have BI 7.0 on SQL 2005 on BIDEMOSER SERVER.
2. Installed BusinessObjects Enterprise 3.1 , Crystal Reports 2008, SAP GUI 7.1 and SAP Integration Kit on this new server name : BODEMOSER.
3. We already have EP 7.0 on Oracle 10.2 on EPDEMOSER SERVER.
I have installed the BOE 3.1 and Integrated with the BI Server and imported the roles and all the functions are working fine between BO and BI.For Portal Integration i have transferred the masterview file from BODEMO SERVER com.businessobjects.pct.masteriview.par to the EPDEMOSER SERVER.
And it was uploaded in the EPDEMOSER SERVER System Administration--> Support --> uploaded successfully.And I have followed the SSO configuration as per te guide. And values in the Web.xml files are properly as per the guide.
After the uploading the masterview par file i could not able to view the iView template in the System.I have cleaned the cookes and all temp files.
As per the guide I have created an folde name BI_BO and SYstem name as BI_BO_DEMO.Now when I started creating a iView Template by right clicking the System name BI_BO_DEMO and provided the following parameters for each Property Category.

Connection failed. Make sure that Single Sign-On is configured correctly
Whether i should install the BO Integration kit in EP portal also or any Portal Inetgration kit is available.

1. Whether Integration kit for SAP should be installed in EP Server also ( which has been installed in BO server for BI and the SSO for BI and EP STRUSTSSO2 also works fine.
- the portal is acting as the frontend for viewing content and yes there needs to be trust between your portal and your BW system
2. the connector parameter and the iview template object parameter as correct as per the distributed enviorment.
When i checked with portal; admin they asked doubt what should be crystal enterprise server ( BO) and the what is the server should connector parameter should have.
- the Crystal Enterprise parameter do not influence the connector properties and do not lead to the point that the connector settings fail. the Crystal Enterprise parameters are only relevant when viewing SAP BusinessObjects related content.
Make sure you connector settings work even without the Crystal Enterprise parameters first.

Businessobjects Integration kit for SAP

I am integrating BI with Xcelsius tool. For that I want Businessobjects Integration kit for SAP in my client machine. I have reffered the following installation guide.

After selecting the option Yes, automatically deploy the web application(Step 20), i get one screen for Configuring web application Server. It is asking Sever instance and Service Name.
What is Server Instance and Service Name? Can you tell any example for Sever instance and Service Name ?
Help me in this regard.

Hi Hemalatha,
You wouldn't necessarily need the Web application to be installed on the client machine, and unless you want the user to access your Business Objects environment using SAP security, you wouldn't necessarily need the Web Application that comes with the SAP Integration Kit.
I agree that the documentation is not great in explaining what you would need if you want to do what you describe.
Are you looking to have connected Xcelsius models which use QAaWS over a Universe which is built over SAP BI content (Cube/Query)
If so, you may find that you only need the data connectivity components of the SAP integration kit.
Can you further explain what you are trying to do....I may be able to add more assistance.

Can SAP NW IdM 7.1 (future releases) manage Users & Groups within BusinessObjects Enterprise (XI3.1)?
Is there a framework I missed?
Can this only be implemented indirectly with AD / SAP R/3 / LDAP authentication in BusinessObjects?
Or maybe with a to/from database-pass?
Any help (practical / theoretical) is appreciated.

Hi Michael,
We've spoken with SAP about this and currently there isn't a connector for BOBJ components. The options we were advised were to either do it indirectly as you suggested or to develop a connector using the connector development kit. It was suggested SAP may develop one of these themselves this year, but we'd be interested in working with you to collaboratively develop a connector if you'd be interested.

We are going through the tutorials and looking at the examples using the BusinessObjects.Enterprise.Providers assembly. The tutorial shows using this assembly for creating the BOEMembershipProvider in the web.config. The problem is the BusinessObjects.Enterprise.Providers cannot be found anywhere. Is there an update to the tutorial examples? BusinessObjects Integration Kit for SAP u2013 key for 90 day evaluation version

I have installed Crystal Reports 2008, a 30-Day evaluation version on my laptop, from here:

and I would like to connect my reports to the SAP Data Source (SAP ECC 6.0). For this I have downloaded the BusinessObjects Integration Kit for SAP - 90 day Evaluation version and I try to install it on my laptop. Is it possible to replace BusinessObjects XI 3.0 Integration Kit for SAP with BusinessObjects XI 3.1 Integration Kit for SAP in SDN? Otherwise, one requires s-id to download it from SAP Service Marketplace which not everyone has s-id.
Or, where can I download BusinessObject Edge 3.0 in order to work with BusinessObjects XI 3.0 Integration Kit for SAP?
It seems now that the free trial offers BusinessObject Edge 3.1 but SDN offers BusinessObjects XI 3.0 Integration Kit for SAP. Unmatched version does not work.

Unable to install the BusinessObjects XI Portal Integration Kits on shrepoi

Hi all,
I am attempting to install the following kit onto my sharepoint 2007 installation:
BusinessObjects XI Release 2 SharePoint 2007 Portal Integration Kit
Download BusinessObjects XI Release 2 SharePoint 2007 Portal Integration Kit - ZIP 5MB
My Sharepoint is fully up to date and is version 12.0.0.6335.
Each time i try to install, I get the message:SP3 Patch is required to install Sharepoint 2007 Integration Kit. I believe that this is already installed as whenever I try to install the SP3 Patch I get:
The expected version of the product is installed on your system.
I have checked and it looks to me that version 12.0.0.6335 is the most up to date and surpasses the SP3.
Can anyone assist?

Can you confirm the version of XIR2 from CMC application -> settings tab.
XI R2 SP3 version start with 11.5 not with 12, please check you have installed the correct version of BOE.

Hi, Caner.
When you are installing Integration Kit you have 3 options: Desktop, Server, Custom.
Of course your choice depends on your requirements.
1. Desktop. If you plan to work with BW-source locally in Crystal or in WebI Rich Client this option for you. You donnt need to install BOE, it is working with client tools.
2. Server. This variant is suitable for work with BOE. If you plan to share your reports that based on BW-sources via BOE you MUST to install this on your BOE.
3. Custom. For "power"-users. If you choose this point by default it works like Desktop options, but it doesnt ask you to install Crystal reports. Usually I work with this kind installation.
