Missing "Time zone" tab - Webaccess build #100937

We have installed the new build for GroupWise - build #100937.
When using Webaccess , under "Options" the "Time zone" tab is missing.
The "Time zone" tab was present before upgrading to build #100937.
Any Suggestions to solve this?

Yeah, that's correct. The problem is if you use ANYTHING to do single sign on (formfill in NAM, or some other web technology), it doesn't pass the java codes correctly, so it actually strips off the timezone code, so you get times that are off by 4 hours.
But the bug is actually in WebAccess, not NAM.
I'm supposedly getting a build to test to see if it's resolved.

  • Add new Place to Time Zone tab in Sys Prefs

    I have seen a couple of posts on other forums, plus a similar request, here on the iPhoto09 forum, but not had any success with this yet. I want to do this for the same reason as the OP on the iPhoto forum...so iPhoto Places defaults to an area local to myself
    The procedure I have seen ( see links below) seems to refer to OS ver 10.2. I have tried it on my system (10.5.8) and I can't seem to get it to work.
    Basically it involves editing
    MacintoshHD/System/library/PreferencesPanes/DateandTime.prefpane
    --- Show package Contents
    Contents/Resources/TimeZone.prefPane
    --- Show package Contents
    Contents/Resources/allcitiesadj.plist
    Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Localizable_Cities.strings.
    Needed to change read /write permissions to edit the file(s), then changed them back after editing.
    The original article in http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20020831074937191 refers to changing ownership of the files, from System to User and then back again. I cant see an option to change ownership, but could see red write attributes so I changed that to allow editing of the files. I do notice now that the two files, now show user as owner of the files not System. maybe this is why this procedue is not working
    I added the new Place in allcitiesadj.plist
    <array>
    <string>49.120000</string>
    <string>-2.070000</string>
    <string>11</string>
    <string>Europe/London</string>
    <string>GB</string>
    <string>Jersey</string>
    <string>England</string>
    </array>
    And added an entry to Localizable_Cities strings for Jersey:
    "Jakarta" = "Jakarta";
    "Jerusalem" = "Jerusalem";
    "Jersey" = "Jersey";
    "Kabul" = "Kabul";
    "Kampala" = "Kampala";
    Restarted the machine, but Jersey still does not appear in the Time Zone tab.
    Anyone give me any pointers here?
    Here are the links I have seen so far:

    which links to
    http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20020831074937191

    Solved.
    It was because editing the files in Text Edit changed the file ownership. Had to use Terminal and chown to revert ownership back to system.
    Using TextMate would have done it without changing the file ownership.

  • Playbook is missing time zones after restoring it to factory defaults

    Hello,
    I recently factory restored my playbook to OS  version 1.0.8.6067. After the restore I've found that Canada is missing from the list of countries available under Language tab (current Language set to English). Also, pacific time sone is missing from the Time Zone section under Date & Time.
    The following countries are available if the Current Language is set to English
    Trinidad & Tobago
    US Minor Outlying Island
    US Virgin Islands
    UK
    US
    And under the Time zone list only the following are available
    Eastern TIme (-5)
    Indiana (-5)
    Bogota (-5)
    Mexico City - Old (-6)
    Mexico City - New (-6)
    I've restored the device twice with the same restuls as above. Any idea what might ve going on?
    Thanks in advance
    Usup

    I have recently encountered this problem myself.  To give a little background, my Playbook was on 2.0 beta and when I recently updated to the full 2.0 I was having some consistency rpoblems with some apps so I did a full secruity wipe.  When my playbook came back up it only a few timezones and none of them were anywhere close to where I live.  This made no sense at all.
    After that I did another secruity wipe, which still did not solve the problem.  Then I did a full reinstall using the debrick method using the Blackberry Desktop Software.  Again, when the Playbook came back up, it still was missing the proper timezones.
    I'm at my wit's end here, and my research has shown that this issue has come up before and I've never seen anyone come up with a conclusive answer on how to fix it.  If anyone knows anything at all about this please share as this has rendered my Playbook useless.  Manually setting the time is not acceptable because the timzeone will be wrong so any timestamps will be completely off when viewed on other machines or if I sync a calendar then appointments show up at the wrong time.
    I am very frustrated but I hope there is an answer here somewhere!

  • Missing Time Zone

    The 6120 Classic requires an additional time zone under the Australia setting as its missing. The Zone is +9.5hrs GMT and it is the Darwin (Northern Territory) zone.

    6120's used here at work purchased in OZ from Telstra, and my personal phone is also 6120 purchased from Ebay, branded from Singapore.
    work 6120 is MISSING Darwin Timezone.
    firmware is 4.21
    personal 6120 HAS Darwin timezone
    firmware is 3.70
    Is it a bug introduced with the firmware???

  • Missing time zones

    I need to set my Mac to the correct time zone for La Paz, Mexico (in Baja Calif. South). There does not appear to be a setting for this zone. If I click my geographic location, I get Phoenix, and if I click just a bit east, I get mexico city. that leaves out Mexican Mountain and Pacific zones, which are important now because they don't have the same DST change dates as the US. Windows has this one figured out, it amazes me the Apple does not. Is there a secret trick to making this work? If not, is there a way to get word to the developer guys to fix this one? It seems a very basic need for an OS, to get time right.

    Click here and fill out the form.

  • N95 - missing time zone

    Hello,  I have my time set on auto update, however on travelling to DARWIN NT Australia, there is no Darwin and the phone time updates to the Adelaide time which is an hour ahead due to daylight savings.   Durng non DST Darwin and Adelaide are the same but during DST Adelaide moves fwd an hour but Darwin does not.  The only option is to turn the auto update off. This defeats the purpose of having it.   Advise please to any fix.... or is it a network issue??
    cheers

    I live in Alice Springs and it drives me NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
    My N95 had a new screen fitted a few months ago & the software updated, and this summer for the first time it auto updated to SA summertime. The only way around this is to manually set a time, but there is no way to tell the phone we are GMT +9.50 hrs. Whats worse is that I use outlook for scheduling and sync it to the phone. All my appointments are automatically set to 1 hr later than in Outlook on the transfer, so I am 1 hour late for appointments.
    I have contacted Telstra and Nokia, but no one can tell me where the problem lies. I think it is Nokia though, because I didn't have this issue last summer and other N95's with old software don't seem to have this issue..
    My next phone will be an I-phone, sooner the better if they dont fix this.

  • Time zone EEST is missing

    Hello experts,
    We found time zone EEST and CETW are missing.
    These 2 time zones do not exist in native table TTZZ.
    But below assigns exist in V_TTZ5;
    country: BY - time zone: EEST
    country: FO - time zone: CETW
    When EEST and CETW are deleted from TTZZ??
    We finished upgrade (R/3 enterprise -> ECC 6.0) at the end of last year.
    I guess these entries are deleted at that time.
    But they dose not exist in R/3 enterprise neither...
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards.
    Emma S

    I would recommend to use the customizing report of note 198411 to receive the newest time zone
    data and daylight saving time rules. The corresponding data file contains the time zones EEST and CETW and of cause the changes you mentioned above. Furthermore geographical assignments are created
    for the missing time zones as well.
    The customizing report TZCUSTIM could be started for different clients
    and so you do not need to create a transport but just run the report
    for the needed clients to have the same data in all clients.
    Thanks,
    Prashant

  • Location Services vs. Time Zone Settings

    i am being given advice to turn OFF Settings > Date and Time > Time Zone Tab > "Set Time Zone Automatically using Current Location" - presumably so that when i travel all my events stay at the time that i set them to. for instance in the case of a return airline flight, so that the alerts will alert me at the correct time.
    right now - i think - that if the Time Zone updates and i am traveling east (say from CST to EST) then the phone changes all my appointments in Calendar and they all show up an hour LATER than when i originally set them. this way i miss my flight.
    however, i am not sure if there are consequences to this.
    also, i can't tell if i should also change the Settings > Date and Time > Date and Time Tab > and UNCHECK "Set Date and Time Automatically".
    also, i am getting uber confused between the settings on my phone as compared to those on my MBP or on Calendar. Location Services i think is a iPhone specific setting whereas Calendar > Preferences > Advanced > "Turn on TIme Zone Support"
    anyone licked this so that it all works?

    hi braden.
    i have tried this "empirically" a couple of times by traveling to another time zone but i was basically testing to see if i can get this to work. the first time i did this i did not get the alert that i set because something had gotten adjusted and the time of my event that i had set had gotten "pushed back" - i think basically due to the time change between CST and EST. this is a problem since when i travel it is helpful to have the alerts on my phone. right now i am having a hard time figuring out why it would not be the case - given the explanation in your tech articles - that this won't happen again if these settings are on. conversely, if i turn oen or both of them OFF - it is not clear to me what the consequences are.
    there is such as thing as a "floating" event which is supposed to (i think) alert at any time zone at the time that you SET the event - so that it does not ADJUST based upon your traveling to a new time zone. however, there appears to be a lot of confusion as to whether this works and/or to what extent it has limitations.
    for instance, is this a viable way to get calendar to work across time zones? i mean, the articles you helpfully post don't seem to address how this works from a practical perspective.
    here are my settings.
    MBP:
    Settings > Date and Time > Date and Time Tab > Set Date and Time Automatically (currently set to ON)
    Settings > Date and Time > Time Zone > Set Time Zone Automatically Using Current Location (currently set to ON)
    Calendar > Preferences > Advanced > Turn on Time Zone Support (currently CHECKED)
    iPhone
    Settings > General > Date and Time > Set Automatically (currently set to ON with “Time Zone” showing as Chicago)
    Settings > Mail, Contacts > Calendars > Time Zone Support (currently set to Houston)
    Settings > Mail, Contacts > Calendars > Time Zone Support > Time Zone Support Slider (currently set to ON)
    1. do i need to do anything special when setting an EVENT while i am in CST (for instance) but the event is going to happen while i am in EST? i mean, can i just set the event with these settings and leave it as CST?
    2. do i need to MANUALLY adjust my iPhone and MBP - once i arrive in EST - to show up as CST in order to get the alert to go off at the correct time?
    3. do i need to MANUALLY pull down an event to "FLOATING" any time this event will happen outside the time zone i am in?
    4. are there any limitations to using a FLOATING event? i know one cannot set a floating event from the iPhone but if this works and this is the only limitation i can do this method.
    5. i have heard some people resolve this issue by MANUALLY setting their time zone for their "home time zone" and they TURN OFF time zone support on all their devices so that the events happen at the correct time with no time zone adjustment. does anyone know if this method works? does anyone know if there are complications to such a move - for instance if i was to work in another continent for a period of time it seems like you would have to change your time zone and this would affect all previously entered events. but also i cannot figure out if doing this will let the TIME on my MBP and my iPhone read correctly since this is very important to me.
    sorry to be posting on this but this is very difficult to test and threads such as there indicate there is a lot of ongoing confusion about this.
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/24163748#24163748
    any thoughts? or perhaps there is someone that has travelled recently and has this down to a science?
    THANK YOU VERY MUCH

  • Set Windows Time Zone

    I am trying to write a VI that will set the system time zone (in Windows). The user needs to be given the option to pick which time zone they are in. Then whatever changes are needed, must be written back out to Windows.
    I want Windows to handle all the offsets and setting the local time. I just want to provide a way that the user can view a list of all the different time zones and pick one to set the local time by.
    I have tried a couple different ways:
    1. Calling the GetTimeZoneInformation in the kernel32.dll through the Call Library Function vi. However, I am not sure what input to give the node. I found documentation on:
    http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms724944.aspx
    The issue arises when I attempt to create a cluster to match a TIME_ZONE_INFORMATION structure:
    http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms725481.aspx
    I am having a very hard time figured out what data type WCHAR would be in my LabVIEW cluster.
    2. Modifying the registry values at:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation
    The problem arises that even if I set the StandardName and DaylightName, the time zone settings have not changed when I go to check them in the system clock and the local time has not been altered to reflect any time zone change. All the possible time zones are located at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Time Zones
    I have been able to determine that the data in the TZI subkey is structured as:
    long Bias;
    long StandardBias;
    long DaylightBias;
    SYSTEMTIME StandardDate;
    SYSTEMTIME DaylightDate;
    SYSTEMTIME is another structure that is made up of eight words:
    http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms724950.aspx
    The information contained in the TZI tag can entered into the subkeys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation but I cannot figure out how to get the information in hex from that TZI tag into LabVIEW, divide it up and feed it back out.
    If there is some other (hopefull easier) way to do this or if you can help me with either of the two ways I have already tried, I would greatly appreciate it. Please note that I cannot use any other tools that are not built-in to windows. So G-tools is out of the question.
    Kyle

    That is a very good point.
    The user needs to be given the option to pick which time zone they are in.
    They already have that option. You double click the clock at the bottom of the screen and go into the Time Zone tab.
    Why try to work around that just for the sake of your application?
    I understand the need to try to make things easier for the users, but there is some point at which you should say no.
    As for the actual question, I believe that WChar is a Unicode string (2 bytes for each character), so you need to allocation 2n bytes (an array of U8) and have the first byte of each pair be 0. There is a VI called by the registery VIs which does this conversion for you (it's called STR_ASCII-Unicode.vi).
    In any case, if you must do this from your application, I suggest you simply call the date/time dialog.
    One way would be to run the System Exec VI with "rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL timedate.cpl" as the input, but there are probably other ways.
    Try to take over the world!

  • Time Zone Troubles.

    I'm suffering a collection of problems to do with my date and time preferences.
    Firstly, in the Date & Time preference pane, Time Zone tab, it won't hold my GMT London setting and keeps defaulting to Monrovia - Liberia, or any number of other places in Africa.
    Secondly, No matter what time zone is set in the preferences, that zone's time is adopted by all other time zones. For example, if the time zone is set to GMT, and I open up a few world clocks on the dashboard, say Los Angeles, New York and London, they all say the same GMT time.
    This is also affecting iCal which is showing all time zones as floating, and keeps asking if I want to change my time zone to Monrovia - Liberia every time I launch.
    Does anyone have any ideas how I could fix this?
    Thanks.
    Paul C.
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

    Hi Paul,
    You could move to Monrovia, Liberia. It would certainly solve the issue.
    You could also try creating a new account, name it "test" and see how your time & date prefs work in that User acct? (That will tell if your problem is systemwide or limited to your User acct.) This account is just for test, do nothing further with it.
    Open System Preferences >> Accounts >> "+" make it an admin account.
    Let us know and we'll troubleshoot this further.

  • Time Zone reporting incorrectly, Samba logs report incorrect workgroup

    Let me start by saying that I am reasonably adept at setting up networks, and knowing what various logs are referring to, but I suspect I am way out of my depth in figuring out what is going on here.
    A day or so ago, my MBP (1st Gen, details below) started reporting its time zone as being Eastern US, location Brainerd, TN. I have always had the checkbox ticked for "Set time zone automatically using current location". This is very weird, as I have never been there, and AFAIK, haven't done anything with settings to make any changes. When I select the Time Zone tab in Date & Time > System Prefs, and try to change it, I get the message "Unable to determine current location at this time".
    Networking wise, I use Wifi to a 1TB Time Capsule, ethernet to the same TC, and/or tethering to my iPhone. The IP addresses attached to each of these NICs seems OK; my two LAN connections are within the same 10.0.1.n class A network, and the tether connection falls in the 172.10.20.n class C network.
    Looking at the various logs, I noticed that the logs for Samba show that my MBP is a local master browser for a workgroup that MAY still be configured on the lone MSWinXP computer in the LAN.
    Long and the short of it, I am paranoid that my network has been hacked. Any enlightened comments would be appreciated. My network security-fu could obviously use some more practice, but I think I've got everything locked down pretty well.

    The most widely distributed form of 21st Century literature, the wild echoing lament of people talking with their fingertips, converting chemical signals into mechanical impulses closing circuits that propel binary digits to be assembled into octal patterns that turn into unread characters, marshalled into small groups of words, parading within frames as sentences and corps of paragraphs, made to bash this square at the whims of the lonely field marshall, bereft of attention, purpose, or satisfaction.

  • TS4337 In trying to set up a time zone in iCal, when pressing "other" i only get options of cities in California, or Ensenada in Mexico. Iwanted to set up a meeting in Washington D.C. but could not find the option.

    I've tried to set up a meeting in a different tiem zone from the one I use normally. So I go to the Time Zone tab and pick "Other". However, "Other" only offers cities in California, and a few in Az and in north of Mexico. But no Washington D.C. or any other Eastern city.
    Please help

    Hi Mina.
    Mail doesn’t support Exchange accounts directly, but rather accesses them as IMAP accounts. According to Mail Help’s “Setting up your email accounts” article:
    For Exchange to work with Mail, Exchange administrators need to configure the Exchange server for IMAP access.

  • Time Zone- patch 12?

    Hello experts
    I got SAP B1 8,8  p12.
    In a conference with a consultant, he showed his screen and  System Initialization- General Settings, there was a tab called "time zone".
    We have the same version, same product and I do not get this tab.
    Do you know why?
    Thanks

    Hello Marcella,
    As the other expert mentioned, the Time Zone tab is not visible until you go to System Initialization- General Settings- Display.
    In this tab, there is an option that says " Manage Company Time". If you check it, then the Time zone Tab will appear within General Settings.
    I do not think is a matter of the localization, as I got the US, Mexico, Chile, Brasil and China localization. I can see them in all of them.
    Thank you!

  • Language time-zone missing info

    Hi,
    This is probably a bug or at best smoe missing info in the language support.
    If we set a non English locale the dates (name of day and month) are coming in the pecified language.
    However the time zone list ignores the locale and returns a string only in English
    for instance:
    MIT, West Samoa Time
    AST, Alaska Daylight Time
    PST, Pacific Daylight Time
    PNT, Mountain Standard Time
    MST, Mountain Daylight Time
    CST, Central Daylight Time
    Since those strings are not translated I have sent those strings to Translation centers for translation. They asked me what are the abbreviations so they can be translated. There is nowere to find the info of what MIT stands for , AST stands, PST, MST and CST. I can try to infer it from the names but for this list I have no certitude of being correct.
    How many of us translate URL be universal resource locator or uniform resource locator?
    Any idea or help?
    Thank you,

    How many of us translate URL be universal resource

  • Indian Time Zone missing from UCM User Time Zone Field

    Hi,
    I am using UCM version 11.1.1.3.0.
    The Indian time zone option is missing from the User Time Zone Drop down in the weblogic section.
    When I set User Time Zone value to (GMT+5:30)Colombo- Sri Lanka Time (LKT) which is same as Indian time zone, the time reflected in UCM is --> System time + 30 minutes
    When I set User Time Zone value to (GMT+5:00)Karachi Pakistan Time- (PKT) which lags 30 minutes from the Indian time zone, the time reflected in UCM is --> System time - 30 minutes
    How can I get the Indian time in User Time Zone Field (as it is present in other versions of UCM)?

    Hi ,
    Download Patch 13503004: UCM 11.1.1.3.0 patch (20120103_1059) from MyOracleSupport portal and upgrade the server .
    After that restart it to see if that the IST TZ will be shown .
    Thanks
