Missing Tools. ACK! Help!

At work I'm using CS5 on a Mac.
Today I tried installing a new brush and after doing so all my tools went away, and I mean ALL of them. Looking under the WINDOW menu the only things tht are listed are: New Window, Arrange, Application Frame, Application Bar, Atrributes, Info, and Type.
No layers, swatches, brushes or anything inbetween.
I've tried using all shortcuts, and deleting my preference setting folder.
Also, Illustrator is now not recognizing .jpgs as a readable file.
I would simply reinstall, however, my awesome department isn't so organized and I'm not sure where to find our serial number and our marketing director is out of town.
Calling tech support has also crossed my mind but I'm on a military base in Italy and we can't call 800 numbers and I have no other landline I can call.
I'm at the mercy of the forum! Any ideas?

I've tried using all shortcuts, and deleting my preference setting folder.
Did you delete the folder with Illy closed? Otherwise it does not work. In some cases you need to move it rather than delete it. Moving the folder is more thorough than resetting the preference file alone as suggested by Mike.

Hi anniespahic, if you have no menu or toolbar area at all, you might be in full screen mode. The F11 function key switches between regular and full screen views. You might also get a menu to exit full screen view if you slide your mouse all the way to the top of the screen and right-click.
If you have a toolbar area but no menu, try tapping the Alt key to show the menu bar temporarily. Then you can re-display the menu bar using
View menu > Toolbars > Menu Bar
(I'm assuming Windows; this might work differently on other operating systems)
Can you get your menu bar back?
Regarding #2, I'm not sure what you mean by index. Is the problem that the page lacks the normal styling (i.e., shows raw text instead of menus)?
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

The TOOLS menu & HELP menu are missing (not the whole bar)

the TOOLS menu & HELP menu are missing (not the whole tool bar, but only these two menus), I can see File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks but not Tools and Help (on Firefox 3.6 on windows XP)

I suspect that you installed an extension that hides some menu items thru user settable preferences.

Are you wanting to import iCal to the MacBook Air. Since iCloud doesn't work with 10.6 OSX you probably don't have any data in iCloud yet?

The problem started when I turned on the computer this morning. I tried to install Mozilla 4 from your website and that installed but I still have nothing on the top.

It may be due to Firebug. Seeing as how you're a web developer, it's very possible you have this installed. The latest version, 1.7X a10, appears to cause everything you described. I downgraded to "a8" and that seems to have fixed everything.
I also recreated a profile from scratch before trying this out, so I can't guarantee it's definitely Firebug.

As I know, Microsoft does not provide any kind of inbuilt tool or free software to only view OST file, even without the connectivity with exchange server (Offline).
Try SysTools OST Viewer freeware which helps you to view all OST file save at your system in an easy way, whether you want to see the attachments or other items of OST file.
Note: This is a free inbuilt utility, but try it on your own risk as I am not much aware about it and its working. But this tool sounds good according to your requirement and hopefully it would give you 100% satisfaction.

If you mean that the Details section is no longer visible, then right-click on one of the other section titles like Basic or Tone Curve, etc, and put a checkmark next to Details.
If you mean that the Details section title is visible but you can’t see the sliders, then just click on the little triangle next to Details to expand the Details section to see the various sliders for Sharpening and Noise Reduction.
If neither of these is what you’re taking about, then please show us a screenshot of the righthand panel in Develop.

I just switched from windows 8 to a mac mini. I had indesign CC trial on the PC and now that I switched to a mac fonts are missing n my document. Both versions of indesign were up to date. How do I get my fonts back please help. The font I really need is called "Onyx"
I dont know why the fonts were working on the PC using the same indesign trial but on the Mac i download the indesign trial the font is missing. Please help!!!!!!

Onyx is not a font provided by Adobe with InDesign or any of the Creative Suite or Creative Cloud offerings. It is installed on your Windows system when you install Microsoft Office.
Likewise, if you have licensed and Installed Microsoft Office on your Macintosh, Onyx is installed on your system.
If you have not licensed and installed Microsoft Office on your Macintosh, you can license the font at http://www.fonts.com/family/248141/onyx.
