MISSING TRACKS WHEN SHARING TO ITUNES...

I just spent a long time creating a song on gband, then i "shared" (send the song to itunes)..when it showed up finished in itunes most of the tracks were not there.....and now most of the audio tracks in the garage band original piece are not there, although visibly they are. Strange. Any suggestions to get the audio tracks back...? thanks..

Your audio tracks are still on your hard drive i hope if not you can not recover your data unless you buy a data recovery program. Are your tracks real-time or software tracks? software tracks can be performed again that's the only solution.. In addition the audio waveforms "can" show up as "automation reflections" as i call it, or as alias files.

I'm new to iPhoto, and I'm trying to figure out where sharing a photo to iTunes goes on the iPhone4 and/or Windows 8?
The Windows iTunes App section indicates something was shared and has an appropriate date and size, but the photo part says 0 photos, which makes it a little hard to delete.

Sharing to iTunes means the item is stored in the Individual app's file sharing area.
When your iPad is connected to your computer and selected look for the Apps tab. Select that then scroll down. First there will be a list of all your apps. Scroll down below that to find a list of your apps that support file sharing. Select iPhoto and you'll find the files you have shared to iTunes. Copy or drag them to your computer and move them where you want them.

Reply to self: I ultimately did speak to a sympathetic iTunes support staff. But, I figured it out just by talking iot through with him. For reasons that remain unknown, large swaths of my library were "hidden" by Windows. Unhiding and clicking to apply to sub-folders does not function as intended. The Microsoft support personal left it with clicking on every single file and unhiding. But I did ultimately unhide everything by using the HIDDEN parameter in Windows Search, which makes available all files for group clicking "Off" the hidden feature. Unfortunately. major library damage already incurred before all this was figured out. Albums missing tracks, etc. With a folder by folder comparison to several backups, I managed to re-create the basic file structures. I also cleaned the hard disk by shifting old Music backups off the drive so that now there is 769 GB used, 1.16 TB free of a 1.81 TB available hard drive. Rebuilt the library using the latest download available 9/25/2012. Have gone through the shifting of the directory structure out of iTunes/iTunes Media to just iTunes. A shift which I approve of but a warning would have been nice. Have gone through the varisous corrections to Compilations, Music Videos, Audiobooks which are clearly tagged incorrectly as iTunes cannot rebuild to previous specs. And now I am stuck with ERROR, ITUNES LIBRARY CANNOT BE SAVED, -50. Continuing to iognore the message results in a "Not Responding" iTunes, with a required force shutdown. I have used the File, Library, Organize feature several times today. Weeks of effort and I am right back where I started. Steve would be turning over in his grave, where's Apple's perfection? Customers are begging for alternatives and I've just joined their ranks. I want and love my media library but my life is not structured to this type of time committment.

Tracks panned in garageband......tracks bleed when shared to itunes

i have a two track loop. the first track is a click or metronome and the second track is the loop.
i have click panned left and loop panned right. all effects are off.
when i share the track to itunes somehow there is click in the loop track and loop in the click track....
however when i listen to it in garageband they are fully panned.......any help???????

Loss of volume when sharing to itunes

i'm trying to send a GB song to itunes but the volume is significantly lower when it gets there. thought it might be the compression with AAC or MP3 but when i sent it AIFF it is still muffled. the volume of this track is also lower than other GB tracks shared recently. GB is version 4.1.1, itunes 8, previous tracks i think were shared with the previous version of itunes. any thoughts?

i did try these things after looking at other threads when trying to raise the volume of previously shared tracks. but this track is still lower than tracks shared with sound enhancements and auto normalise on. the only thing i can think of is an itunes 8 glitch, this is the first track i've shared with the new version.

Logic Pro X fading out audio when sharing to iTunes

When I try to share a track I've edited to iTunes, the output has an unwanted fade out effect during the last 10 seconds, leaving the last 2 seconds unaudible. Is there any way I can stop this fade out from happening? I've tried turning off automations in the track, but that didn't seem to work.

Check your settings in iTunes.... Preferences/playback tab
You probably have Crossfade enabled... Uncheck it.. along with the other features in that same page... This then makes iTubes playback audio files exactly as they were created and intended to be heard.. without any enhancements.
Finally make sure you do not have any external plugin enhancements for iTunes running....

Background hiss reappears when sharing to iTunes

Yikes! My whole question just disappeared when trying to update my profile; trying again.
Briefly, I am digitizing old audiotapes for our library's local history collection. All these interviews have considerable background hiss, some worse than others depending on the condition of the original tape. I looked around the net - including here - and found the Visual EQ. With this, I was able to get the hiss down to what seemed to me a reasonable level. But, when I shared the file to iTunes, the hiss came back, as loud and obnoxious as ever! Why is this happening, and what can I do to prevent it? It is my hope to make a Ken Burns-style movie of this audio, using photos and short film clips. But that will never work unless I can get rid of the hiss in iTunes.
My tools. A boom box and connecting cable; the library's Macbook 2Gz Intel Core 2 duo, running Maverikcs 10.9.5; Garageband 10; iTunes 11.4.

I still haven't solved the problem, but found something that helps a bit. In the older versions of Garageband, the program automatically exported an AIFF to iTunes. This new program doesn't. If you tell it to export in this format, the hum seems to be reduced - but it still does reappear. Can anyone help me get rid of it entirely? Thanks!

Duplicate video file created when shared through iTunes ...

In iMovie, when I share my project through iTunes, I get a copy of a m4v file in my iTunes Media folder and in a new folder created by iMovie in my Video folder as well.
Why do I get 2 copies of the shared movie ?

I am not sure why Apple does it this way. You can delete one of them.
If you set up iTunes to not automatically import new files, this will not happen, but that may be inconvenient if you import a lot of music.

Missing Ringtone When Syncing with iTunes - How do I remove Corrupt Ringtones from my iPhone?

PLEASE HELP! I've been having trouble with a ringtone I purchased a few months back. Everything was fine, until a month ago when i synced my phone with iTunes, and my ringtone suddenly disappeared. I have tried several times to sync / resync my phone again and again, and the ringtone is not there. It is in my iTunes library under Tones, and it plays when I double-click on it. But for some reason it won't sync over to my phone. I've been in contact with Apple Support over email and they have put the ringtone back on my account twice, and both times I have been able to download it back directly to my iPhone. But it's the same story all over again when I sync with iTunes... the ringtone just disappears, even when I checked "Sync Tones".
Interestingly enough, when I take a look at my iPhone in iTunes, under Tones, there are 4 instances of the ringtone, all of them have an error icon next to them, as shown in the screenshot below:
I've tried to NOT sync ringtones, but this list still appears. For some reason I cannot delete these corrupt ringtones from my phone.
In my library, the ringtones appear fine, and play fine when I double-click on them. I don't know why there are 2 of them though.
Please help! I've been at this for a month and cannot find a solution! I've re-bought the ringtone twice, but everytime I sync, it disppears all over again. I think removing the corrupt ringtones from the iPhone may solve the issue. Once I remove the corrupt files, I can start from scratch since the ones in my library play fine. But the problem is I don't know how to remove the corrupt files from my phone. Please help!

I cannot Turn of Normalizing of the entire project when sharing to iTunes. . . Help

I have an amazing project, it sounds beautiful and yes, the bass is supposed to blow any speakers that are lame as ****. The song is so magic and Logic keeps cutting the volume on it when I share to iTunes and unlike garageband, I cannot seem to figure out how to stop this monstrosity. Anyone help out? Thank you in advanced.

Another thing you might want to check.
All of the Audio enhancement in iTunes shoud be Off, All of them.

Missing tracks when opening GB project

I archived a GB project to an external HD about 2 yrs ago. I wanted to make some modifications to the project but when I tried to open it I got an error 'Audio File "Recording#07.aif" not found'. I cannot find this file on the external or internal drive. I don't understand what is wrong. All I did was copy the project to an external drive.
The project was originally recorded in GB 2 but I am running GB 09 now. I don't know why that would make a track drop but who knows.
Is there something else I'm supposed to do when moving projects to another location. I have many projects that I have moved to the external HD for archive purposes. Does this mean I cannot move projects from the original drive they were created on? How do I choose the external drive and the location to create the recording. I don't have any desire to keep recordings on my internal drive forever. That is just a waste of space.

A friend of mine just upgraded from GarageBand 3 to Garageband 4 ('08) and has the same problem with a couple of files. They sound terrible, out of key, like there is some pitch correction going on. When we open the .band files and play the track's individual .aiff files they sound normal, so GarageBand is doing something weird to them. Let me know when you find a solution.

Missing tracks when send to STP Multitrack

In FCP I have A1 A2 A3 A4. A1 and A2 are stereo as are A3 and A4. When I select all and send to STP multitrack file All I get is one track of A1 and A2 mixed. A3 and A4 don't appear. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Yep. But you can save time by deselecting "Make movie self-contained" to make a reference movie, which will much quicker to export if no rendering is required on the timeline.
If I export my current sequence as a 4-audio-track quicktime movie, that could work, too, right?
Do you mean importing into Soundtrack Pro separately and not using the Send To method? That's another way, yes.

Garageband crashes when sharing to iTunes

I've got a 302 MB file I'm trying to share to iTunes and GB crashes. Is the file too big and do I have to split it up? It's a 4.5 hr. lecture and I need to get it into format to post to a website.

Thanks for the advice, Hangtime, but it didn't solve the problem. The same thing happens even after I repaired permissions and trashed the Garageband prefs. I get the error message at the end of the transfer that says Garageband unexpectedly quit (although the program screen remains and is frozen, requiring a force quit). Any other suggestions?

Missing Audio when Sharing to JVC Camcorder

When attempting to share my iMovie with my JVC camcorder via iLink, the video records on the camcorder but the sound does not. The camera is set to 16 bit sound. No sound comes out of the iMac or into the camcorder. When the iLink is removed, the sound plays fine on the computer.
Any suggestions?

Pictures (photos) distorted when shared to iTunes; DVD looks great

Hitting a very odd problem in iMovie 09.
I added a series of photos between clips of my movie. I adjusted the Ken Burns Effect for each. It plays back fine in iMovie. I exported it to iDVD and the resulting DVD looks fine. But if I export to QuickTime or Share to iTunes, the photos look distorted during playback...like the've been squished from Widescreen to Standard or something, and so of course the Ken Burns Effect is messed up.
Anyone else seen this, or have any ideas? Strange that it works fine in iMovie and on a DVD.

OK, I went back into iMovie, and suddenly the pics were messed up there as well - they must have gotten corrupted/resized at some point in the process. Adding a new picture (and then deleting it) seemed to re-size all of the existing pics, and everything is fine now. Can't explain how it happened, but it seems to be fixed. Sorry for the red herring.
