Missing Uninstall executable files

Hi there,
I am on a MAC.
I have a strange issue. No doubt is something I did wrong. Anyway, let me describe, step-by-step, what I recall that I did:
When Adobe launched Adobe CC suite I start uninstalling all CS6 applications (InDesign, PS and Illustrator). Then I opened CreativeCloud Desktop app. For my surprise there were no CC aplications. Only CS6. I installed Creative Cloud Removal Tool and uninstalled CC Desktop app also. Then I downloaded it again. Now all applications showed CC. Perfect. So, I choose English (and something in Hebrew) for InDesign and InCopy. I installed them. I switch to English (North America) and installed Bridge, Illustrator and PS.
Despite the fact that I have installed those two applications and they are running, in CC desktop app they seems like they are not.
The PS, Illustrator and Bridge are installed from English (North America),
... but it looks like they are not. It appears only Bridge and Acrobat Professional.
At this point, CC desktop app is not showing me any application as being installed except for Bridge. And to make it even strange, none of the InDesign, PS, Ill or InCopy have Uninstall option, just an Alias. When I click on Uninstall Illustrator, it says: Delete Alias, Fix Alias, OK.
So, I start Adobe CC cleaner tool. For my surprise when I selected to show me all Adobe products, it shows me only those applications:
Then I selected to show me only CC and CS6 products, and here we go:
At this point I intended to uninstall all CC products and make a clean instalation of InDesign, Illustrator, PS and InCopy from English (Hebrew). Not to mention that in User/Preferences I still have a lot of things from previous applications though I checked remove preferences when I uninstalled CS6.
But I cannot do. Any suggestions? Maybe a little help from Adobe engineers?
Thank you.
Sebastian

Yes. The files are in there. I am currently working/using InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. But the uninstallers are missing:
I also looked in Utilities for those uninstallers. here is what I've found:
All are simple Alias:
Despite all these, I am working with any of those applications:
The thing is that on my wife's computer, using her Adobe license I installed CC from English (Hebrew). All applications. These days she received several updates while I received none. Obviously something is not working right.
It was my error installing InDesign and InCopy for Hebrew while the rest are installed from English (North America).
Perhaps is just an error of CC desktop application.

(If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Okay, so, fast forward from July to now -
    - I've visited my closest Apple store's genius bar twice now. (Over an hour and a half away.)
    - My computer spent at least 8 hours behind their closed doors in the workshop
    - Several complete erases of the harddrive have taken place
    - Most of the Apple geniuses I dealt with were nice and very knowledgeable, but they were and still aren't 100% sure exactly what is wrong with my computer.
    The good news is:
    - They were able to at least get it running again, with a clean install from their servers of OS X Lion 10.7.5
    - They believe that my problems stem from either 1 of 2 things:
            - Faulty Hard Drive (even though it is brand new)
             - The wrong build of software being installed.
Now, while the wrong build does seem like it could be the problem, it doesn't make sense in the aspect that all of the initial problems began when the first hard drive failed. The same problems continued when I changed out the failed hard drive with the brand spanking new one, and only slightly improved when I was able to successfully install the OS that came with the original disks for my computer. I'm not convinced this thing is back to normal, but hopefully I can make it last through getting a shiny new retina Macbook Pro in the coming future. Thank you so much to everyone who read and replied to this post!

  • Missing mscrv80.dll file when updating itunes.  what is it and how can I get it back?

When updating itunes the new installation said I was missing mscrv80.dll file.  I've reinstalled but still doesn't work.  How can it be repaired?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

  • Photoshop files show as unix executable files

    Hi,
I've have a back-up drive with all my old files (the past 15 years). After I copied them over I noticed that most of them showed up as unix executable files. The most of the Quark files I was able to repair by adding .qxp. When I add the appropriate extension to my Photoshop files, (.tif, .eps) and then try to open them, PS won't recognize the files. Is there a fix to this. Unfortunately the originals have disappeared with a drive that crashed.
    Thanks for any help.

Adding file extensions for unique application-types will work fine as long as there's an entry for LaunchServices to reference to - add the .qxd extension will "make" them Quark files, for example. The more generic types are going to be the problem, as there are many applications listed in LaunchServices that can open TIFF and EPS files. If you had files that you could absolutely identify as raw Photoshop files, adding a .psd extension would most likely work for those.
Maybe I just need to let all those files go...
Since it seems that only the resource fork has been munged, the files are probably fine - just missing the resource fork with the Type/Creator code and the preview info that Photoshop stores there.

Why my ggate showing unable to find the executable. I am able to see the executable server in the ggate home.In addition to Steve's reply, note that the broken installation may actually be on the target system, not the (local) source system. Unable to find "server" may mean that your source GG installation is unable to send remote trails to the target system, because "server" can't be found on the target. When checking the target gg installation, also be sure you've configured your source system to send to the correct mgr port & correct remote host. You might be sending data to an older (perhaps (partially) uninstalled) version of GG.

  • Need help opening Unix Executable Files

I've recently been given the task of updating various files containing instruction manuals. However, the person who created these files is long gone and no one seems to know what program they were created in. All I know is that they are listed as "Unix Executable File" when I click on the document. I've tried opening them in TextEdit and this does me no good. Does anyone know how I can determine what program these files were originally created in so that I can open them?

Files that have no filename extensions (used by Windows and OS X, but not by OS 9) and have lost their Type and Creator codes (used by OS 9, but not by Windows or OS X), and are then written to a DOS-formatted disc by OS 9 and copied back to a Mac disc, are usually if not always misidentified by the OS X Finder as Unix executables.
Your company's old files, created in applications that ran in OS 9, probably have never had any filename extensions. Their Type and Creator codes have evidently been lost; those are what OS 9 uses to link the files to the applications that created them. If the files have also been written by OS 9 to any disk or flash drive formatted for Windows, i.e. FAT16 or FAT32, they have also lost their resource forks. The resource fork is a portion of a Mac file that has no analogous structure in a PC file. When a Mac file that contains data in its resource fork is written by OS 9 to a PC-formatted storage device, there's no place in the Windows file structure for that data — so it is simply discarded. When the Mac file is later copied back onto a Mac-formatted storage device, its resource fork is gone along with whatever data it contained, and the file may for all practical purposes be destroyed. OS X handles writing Mac files to Windows-formatted drives more gracefully, but passing files back and forth between OS 9 and OS X via a Windows-formatted storage device is asking for trouble.
I don't know just what practices have been used in moving these files from the Macs they were created on to the one you're trying to open them on now, but I suspect there has been some unwitting demolition in the process.
If copies of these files are still stored on the old Mac on which they were created, and that Mac still works, get on it and double-click the saved copies of the files to open them in the program(s) that created them, and make notes of which application opens each of the files. Be aware that the folder structure containing the files may have to be preserved exactly as it is for the files to open properly — do not reorganize anything. It may be essential, for example, for a PageMaker file to be kept in the same folder as all the individual files that have been "placed" in it using the Place command in PageMaker. If any of those files are moved elsewhere, they may be missing from the PageMaker document when it opens. I've never used Quark or Freehand, so I don't know whether they have the same requirement, or other requirements that are less than obvious.
Any of the old manuals that you're able to open in their original applications can be saved as PDF files using an invaluable OS 9-based "printer driver" called PrintToPDF. They can then be opened in Adobe Reader or Preview on your G5 running OS X, though you won't be able to edit them easily. If you require the ability to edit these files on the G5, rather than on the old computer using the apps that originally created them, you will need first to discover which OS 9-based application created each one, and then ascertain what if any current OS X-based application is able to open the file format used by that old application. In the case of PageMaker files, that will probably be Adobe InDesign or nothing. InDesign may also open old Quark files; I don't know. Aldus or Adobe Freehand files may be openable using Adobe Illustrator. These are just guesses.
Dragging and dropping the files onto MS Word or TextWrangler may reveal, buried somewhere in them, the name of the application(s) that created them. I know a PageMaker file, opened as plain text, will always contain the word "PageMaker". As for other file formats, I'm not sure.

    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • How to launch an executable file

I recently journeyed into the land of the light and am the brand new owner of a MacBook Pro.  Having been a slave to PC's for WAY too long, I am clueless how the mac operates, but a VERY quick learner.
I am have downloaded an executable file that I need for work, but cannot seem to get it to launch to install my program.  I know this is very elementary, but we all have to start somewhere.
    Thank you!
    Shelly
PS - this is only the first elementary question i will have, so if you have a good source for Mac beginners, please share. I haved purchased "Macbook Pro - Portable Genius", but that seems to be more focused on visually arranging my computer.

As to the Executable file. Apple Mac OS X does not use Executable files (.exe).
Ahem! Of course it does. Any computer does
    <http://foldoc.org/executable>
It's just that, on Mac OS X, the filename extension .exe does not designate an executable, as it does on other platforms. Mac OS X GUI applications have the filename extension .app, but, technically speaking, although they function as the equivalents of .exe files on Win, they are not executables themselves (the executable file being buried inside).
Mac software is usually (but by no means always) distributed as compressed archives (.zip), with which you're familiar from Win, or as disk images (.dmg), which may or may not be compressed. In principle they are similar to .iso disc images on Win. (Btw, a disk is a magnetic medium, while a disc is an optical medium. Now you know how to separate the sheep from the goats.)
