Missing Update Application button in App Store connect?

I have an application in the App Store that I would like to update with a major bug fix release, but the "Update Application" button is missing from my Manage Applications page. There's also an ancient minor update that's been stuck "In Review" forever, but should be discarded. What's the fix, or the proper channel to ask for help? Or are a whole bunch of other developers in the same boat?

Iphone iOS 8.1 not loading or updating applications from the app store

HI all,
seems that since I updated my iPhone 6plus to iOS 8.1 app store updates are not working. I just get the "circle" with the square in the middle and it just sits there. doesn't matter if it is through wifi or cellular.

I found some other comments which alluded to removing all items in my "newsstand". I did that, rebooted and now application updates are working again. Of course, this isn't a long term solution as I do want my newsstand magazines back. When are we getting a fix?

Updating Applications Using iPhone4 App Store

I have no issues downloading new applications or installing them, however for some applications (MobileMe iDisk, Facebook and Bloomberg) which I had previously installed, some updates are available via the 'Updates' function in Appstore.
It shows that there are updates available for all three applications.
When I select 'Update All' iTunes asks me for my iTunes password associated with my old email account (hotmail), which I changed and updated Via iTunes many moons ago. I have checked iTunes settings on the phone, and these are all associated with my current email (gmail) which is all set up properly on the iTunes on both my mac and my phone.
I can however remember my password for the old account, so I enter this.
I then see a 'Verification Required' screen stating I must sign in and verify account information.
I select 'continue'. 'Sign in required' then pops up. I then select 'Continue' again. This time I am asked for my password for the correct account (i.e. gmail). I then input the correct password for this account (it is the only account by the way) and the have to verify the CCV2 number from my credit card associated with my iTunes account.
I do this, and select 'Done' - this then returns me to the initial 'updates' screen where once again, I need to select 'Update all' to update the selected applications.
I do this, the phone then goes back to the applications screen, and the little bubbles show in the respective applications Icon momentarily before the 'Verifcation required' screen comes back again asking me for my CCV2 code again.
There seems to be a continuous loop bug in this piece of software.
I am also confused as to why the iTunes application works perfectly, and I am also able to download new applications without any issues, but when I am trying to update some applications, the phone is trying to sync with an email address that is old and no longer associated with my itunes account in anayway (and hasn't been for at least 12 months) - - I have checked via the itunes accounts on mac and all is in order.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this? It's bugging (pardon the pun) me!

OK so I finally managed to find some time to call Apple Support on this matter.
Apparently it is because I downloaded the apps some time ago and that these were associated with my old email.
If they are free apps (mine were - LinkedIn, Facebook, and a couple of others), you simply delete these from your phone, then reinstall them from the Appstore on the phone - easy! To delete an app, simply hold your finger on it until it 'wiggles' then click on the X in the top left corner of the app icon. Then simply boot up appstore and download the new version.
If you have Apps that you have paid for, then I suggest you give them a call and see what they can do for you as I didn't need to cover this off with them.

Apple ID greyed out in updating applications in the app store

Hi, i have a problem with updating iPhoto and iMovie on my Macbook Air. When i try to update the application it requires me to use my old apple ID which i forgot and no longer have access to that account. I was able to use my new apple ID to update the iWork applications.

Extremely annoying App Update bug in iOS App Store

Previously when iPhone in 3G mode, iOS App Store will not download any update that's more than 20MB, even when I tapped on the "Update All" button.
However, starting from iOS 4.3, this is no longer the case. Whenever I tapped on the "Update All" button, iOS App Store will just try to download all () even though some apps are more than 500MB. To make things worse, iOS App Store will prompt me saying the apps I'm trying to update is > 20MB so no update will be downloaded for the apps, but it already marked those apps as "Waiting". There's no way to cancel this other than cold reboot the iPhone.
This is very annoying when I have several apps to be updated, and one of which is the app that I'm using often. I won't be able to use the app until I can find a Wi-Fi to try to complete the update.
Please, please, please fix this annoying bug!

I have this annoying experienced too, my friend have 69 apps waiting for update, when I click update last night, over 30 apps are not usable and I have to wait the download process. What's worst is that I and my boyfriend uses different account. The update just keep prompting different password - and keep saying its a different store. annoying. Apple un the upcoming 5.0 should fix this user at once!

Can you download new apps? If you can, go to the App Store featured tab and do a search for one of the apps that tells you it needs an update. When the app appears in the search, tap on the app icon and the description window for the app will pop up. Try updating the app from there and see if that works.
Have you tried rebooting your router? Unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again?

That is true - I apologize for not being specific - what I was mainly referring to is iLife applications. I have a notice on the App Store that says 3 apps need updates, I look at the apps and they are huge so since my connection is so slow I use my work connection and d'load the files from support to my Windows machine and carry them home, once d'loaded my MacAir states it cannot install, the update must come from the App Store.
I do the same thing for large Leopard and Lion files and I can install them without error, it is just the App Store files that the system stops.

i am receiving this error since last 3 days please help me resolve this.
i am already using XCode 5.1.1 and iOS 7 SDK i have regenerated my app store provisioning profile twice after this issue.
my app gets validated by Xcode and also gets uploaded successfully through Application Loader (i.e. latest one 2.9.1 i believe)
but in itunes connect when i try to submit my app for review i receive this error.

I'm getting the same error as well, using Xcode 6.1 (6A1042b) on OSX 10.9.5. My project settings in Xcode have “Deployment Target” as “7.0” and “Base SDK” as “Latest iOS (iOS 8.1)”. I uploaded the app via Xcode, not with the application loader and I've tried re-generating my distribution provisioning profile.
This is an update to an existing app which was previously built against iOS 6.0 sdk but all attempts to submit the update now produce the error message "Apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 5.1.1 or later, and iOS 7 or later SDK."

Application Updates from the update icon currently cost nothing. Anything on the App Store that costs money will have a button to buy in Blue with the price in the button.

Why does that app update not clear in App Store on iTunes Sync?

I have noticed this as a problem ever since I upgraded to iOS8. I always update my apps on my iOS devices by a sync with iTunes. The reason I do this is because I do not like the annoying blue dot beside the app after I update it until I actually open the app. I have been doing this successfully for years. Now that I am on iOS8 I still sync to update but the update badge will not reset even though the app store knows the app is updated. The badge only goes away (resets itself) when there is a new update available in the app store. To overcome this I have turn off notification in the app store so I do not have to see the badge on my screen but I don't understand why iOS 8 is creating this problem. This did not occur in iOS 7 or 6. I thought it was initially because I installed a Beta app for Accompli but that was not correct because I did a complete restore and rebuilt my iOS device from scratch, did not install a backup. Is anybody else having this problem?
Here is how to duplicate:
Wait for you to have apps to update on your iOS device but don't update them through the device. You will need to make sure the auto update for Apps is turned off.
Download the updates for the Apps in iTunes.
Make sure you have the box check in iTunes to for "Automatically install new apps".
Sync
iTunes will sync and update the apps on your device and there will be no blue dots on the update. However, the app store on your device will see that there is no update available any more, the button beside the app in the update section will say open instead of update, but the badge will not reset. Used to be the badge would reset and they updates would no longer appear in the app store at all.

I assume no one has encountered this before?

TS1702 I cant download applications from the app store

when i want to download any application from the app store an error occurs..
after pressing the "install app" button, the icon of the app appears on the springbord with "waiting" written below it (as if its going to start downloading), but suddenly a messege appears saying (unable to download application "app's name" will be avaliable for download when you log in to the iTunes Store on your computer) and even when I download apps from computer and want to transfer them to iphone using automatic sharing, same problem occurs (and the automatic sharing is turned on)
How can I fix this error??

Wonder if anyone has found a way to download applications form the app store. such as candy crush, or friends with words. I keep getting a message saying not compatible, I have the nokia n8 update to belle.

OS X updates not appearing in App Store?

Ever since I upgraded to Mountain Lion last year, OS updates are not appearing in the App Store. Updates for all Apple and non-Apple applications purchased through the App Store appear with no issue, but point updates to OS X 10.8, Java updates, Safari updates, Digital Camera RAW updates, printer driver updates, etc. never appear in the App Store; I have to download all of those directly from Apple's support site. This is usually just an annoyance, but with the release of Safari 6.0.4, there doesn't seem to be any way to get the update except via the App Store, and it's not appearing there for me.
This issue has persisted across an update to a new machine last December, when I got a new 21.5" iMac to replace my 2009 27" machine, so there is clearly something in my user folder that is causing the issue, but I have no idea what it might be. Anybody have any ideas?

Paul - both excellent suggestions, but alas, no joy. I forced a Spotlight reindexing of the startup drive (by excluding it, then removing the exclusion), but it still doesn't see any updates in the App Store. All the usual boxes are checked in the Pref pane, though even if they weren't, I would think that a manual check would still show updates available if appropriate.
In further pondering the issue, it occured to me that my wife's iMac has the same issue. While she is signed into the App Store with my account (she doesn't buy any apps on her own for her Mac), I'm wondering if it could somehow be an issue with my network that the App Store doesn't like? I am double-NAT'ed, as I want to be able to use my various Airports together (for AirPlay, etc), but also can't totally disable my U-verse router, either - I wonder if there's something weird going on becaue of that.
