Missing Update Rules for 0IC_C03 in Business Content

We had a problem with 0IC_C03, so we decided to reload from Business Content and then migrate to 7.0 format again.
However, when we try to gather all of the dependent objects for the InfoCube in Business Content, we only get one set of obsolete update rules (2LIS_40_S278), and the update rules for 2LIS_03_BX, 2LIS_03_BF, 2LIS_03_UM do not show up. They do not appear under update rules, either.
I know they were there at one point because I activated and migrated the cube once already.
Can someone help us find our lost update rules?

Hi Dan,
There are no update rules deliverd with BI 7.0 for 0IC_C03. There are only
transformations Delivered as part of the content. In the new release
Transformation replace the update rules and the transfer rules.
You have the 3 data sources and the associated transformations to
upload data to the infoCube.
Transformations installed
TRCS 2LIS_03_BF_TR -> CUBE 0IC_C03
TRCS 2LIS_03_BX_TR -> CUBE 0IC_C03
TRCS 2LIS_03_UM_TR -> CUBE 0IC_C03

update rule for 0IC_C03 for the datasource 2LIS_03_BX,
it throws me a error stating

Please choose to install the Update Rule between InfoSource 2LIS_03_BX to InfoCube 0IC_C03.
You have probably not selected to install the Update Rule which is throwing an error.
While Installing, after choosing the required Objects, please also change the Display to "List" to be able to view all objects clearly.

0py_c02 do not have the update rules or transformations in business content

Dear All,
I ma installing the Business content 0py_c02 cube with before data floe option , i found the infosource and transfer rules between Data source and info source but i can not found the Update rules betweeen the infosource and target.
Even if u consider the data source replicated in RSDS update mode, but ther is no transformations. how we can resolve this issue , if any body faced the same issue please update the same.
For creating mannully also there are routines in that update rules( checked same in IDES version) , i can do it same, but why the SAP not delivered the same, or i am going wrong in some where pls.
Any update please , Not received any replies pls.
Please any updates pls on this, The issue is open and waiting for responce from Experts.please can anybody update me.

Error while installing transfer rules for 0PM_C03 from Business content

Hi All,
When i try to install the transfer rules for the Infocube 0PM_C03 from the Business Content, i get the following error:
"Mapping between 2LIS_17_I3HDR 2LIS_17_ORDER is inconsistent".
Here 2LIS_17_ORDER is the Infosource, and 2LIS_17_I3HDR is the datasource.
Also, kindly let me know how can the Infosource and the datasource have different names, like in the case for this Cube.

The datasource and infosource can have different names no issue with that.
and while selecting transfer rule for installing find with '2LIS_17_I3HDR'.

Unable to install update rules of 0SD_C03 from BI Content

Hi
I am having problems in installing the update rule of 2LIS_11_VAITM for the IC 0SD_C03 in BI 7.0. I tried installing it from the BI content but only this missing update rule is not being installed. There were problems while creating the transformations hence i deleted the rule and tried to get it back from BI content.
Even after installing the entire cube (with grouping before and after) i am unable to get the update rule for this cube.
To test it i deleted another update rule of this same cube and now i dont have both the rules.
How do i get the rules for the cube back????

hi guys,
i am also faced the same issue but some what different way,
when i am going to assign a data source to info source in source system
it automatically take it to the particular transfer rules and transfer structure
in stallion screen in BI content. after selecting the install button, control will
take it to other screen, there i select transfer with out dialogs,
after some time the control will got to sap r/3 system log on screen.
finally it won't install the object's, can anyone resolve this issue

How to install sources for infobject from business content

Hi,
I have 16 infobjects for which we need to move to prod and there are no connections to it but the infobjects are active and some are i modified state, like no datasources, infosources, transfer rules etc., Can you please tell me the approach to install all the necessary for them. I mean how to find and how to install, please help if any documentation is available.

Inorder to install the business object, you will be require to follow the following steps :
i)Go to RSA1 (Admistrator Workbench) for installing the Business Content. Navigate to object you want to install. Now you want to install the info object then select Info Object.
ii)Select your Info Object say 0MATL_GROUP (material Group).Click on Transfer selections.
iii)Now when the info object is selected. It will always be in default selection (Only Necessary object), Now if you want to install the various other things like data source, transformation rule etc as you specify in query
iv) For that go to grouping select IN DATAFLOW BEFORE AND AFTERWARDS. One more thing If you want to specify the Source system then u can do it by clicking on that Yellow Box (symbol specify the source system) adjacent to BEx (Truck Symbol). This mainly used for the things like transformation, update rule etc as you want.
v)Now you want to see if there can be some predictive error then go Install --> Simulate Installation.
vi)Now important point to note is MATCH(X) or COPY. Now suppose you already have the Material Group install in your system in Active version. Now here if you didnu2019t select the MATCH check box then your A-version Material Group will be overwritten by the D-version Material group provided by SAP.
vii)For ur more understanding lets take the example say you have added two customer specific attribute to Material Group now twist is SAP has also just release the enhance material Group with two additional attribute. Now you are very curious of getting this two attribute in your already active Material Group. For this you will be required to install the material Group from Business content. If you forget to check the Match option then your customer specific attribute will be lost. So to retain them we have to check the MATCH(X)

Check the output in the transaction LISTCUBE it will give you better picture of the data coming in the multicube.
Check whether the char in the rows of the report is coming from one of the cube only and the key figure which you are looking is coming from different cube.
Also check for the selections on the report if the selection variable is on a char having identification from only of the cube.
this can cause the filtering of data from one of the cube and you will get all the value as # for that particular field.
Take DESG characterstic into the cube 0PY_C02 also.in the update rule(of cube) for this Infoobject take Master data lookup concept.
Make the Identification mapping for the IO DESG of Multiprovider iwth the chacterstic DESG of both cubes .
Then activate the Master data 0Emlyoee_ATTR.
Reupload the data into 0PY_C02.

Update rules for 0PU_C02

I am working on the Funds Management and the Standard Business content cube 0PU_C02, which pulls the data from 7 ODSs through the Update rules. The update rules does not have characteristics fields that needs to passed on to the cube, but it has the Key figure fields (0Amount) to pull. However, On looking in the Infocube content, the data are availble for the Characteristics field along with the expected Key Figure value.
How is this situation possible, where we are getting the data (in the infocube) for the characteristics, which does not have any field specified in the Update rules. I checked other update rules too for getting to the bottom of this.

Hi Saura,
In the update rules screen, click on an update rule for the key figure (in column Ty.) In the screen that opens up you should be able to see update rules for the chars on the char tab.

Missing Update Rule...

I installed BW system and while activating Business Content, i'm unable to locate Update Rules for Infocubes 0CRM_C01 & 0CRM_C02 can anyone tell where to find the update rule if any or the ODS to which these Infocubes are linked.
Also if anyone can mail me the Steps to follow in CRM-BPS Marketing Planning & Budgeting, will be of great help as im very new to both BW & BPS.

In the CRM Marketing Planner you can create key figures for a marketing plan or campaign using SEM planning profiles. The same key figures can be used more than once, for example, marketing costs can be used in the planning profile Budgeting/Cost Planning and also in Marketing Response Planning. If you want to display the planned figures in a BW query (for example, in plan/actual comparisons), you must make sure that the planned figures are displayed for at least one planning profile. Otherwise the planned marketing costs would be aggregated from different planning profiles.
This document describes how to use the planning profiles delivered with CRM Marketing to set up plan/actual comparisons in SAP BW.
It also lists the queries delivered with the Business Content that display planned figures and the planning profiles to which these queries refer.

3)then I use MC25 to add update rule for the new key figure, but I find that there no relevant menu to do such operation.

Error while maintaining the Update Rules for the Infostructure

Hi,
I have added 2 new characteristics for the existing infostructure S9xx and executed the same. While maintaining the Update Rules for the same, system is giving the error message 1. "Field 'PARVW' unknown" and 2. Error generating program RMCX0011.
Please guide me in resolving the issue.

BW 3.5 update rules for master data

Hi all,
I create a dummy report in that report lifnr is charactics and name its att. after this i create a application component and assign data source and create infopkg data coming in lifnr and name field properly <b>i assign data source using direct master data update</b> after this i create infocube and assign dim.
but when i rgt click on infocube and display dataflow it shows only one level and when i open bex and open that it shows no application data found why this happened after creating infocube it is nessory that i creat update rule for this am i right plz send your openion.

Yoy have to load data to the cube.For that you need update rules.
Steps to load data to the cube
1.Replicate the datasource.
2.Assign Infosource
3.Create transfer rules
4.Maintain the update rules to the cube.
5.Right click on the datasource and schedule an infopackage for it.
Execute the Infopackage and pull the data to the cube.

Hello All,
Cost Center is not an attribute of 0EMPLOYEE, neither a field provided by the table PERSON.
0COSTCENTER gets data from the MASTER Datasource 0COSTCENTER_ATTR. When writing an update rule for this characteristic, what code should be written?
and Which fields should be considered from the table /BI0/MCOSTCENTER.

Lets consider a ZINF infoObject with time dependent attribute as ZDEPART.
When writing an update rule, I do a lookup on ZINF. Do I have to write a code for this llokup (mapping this infoObject)?
After writing a code for a lookup on ZINF, will this InfoObject be available for selection in "Master data attribute of"?

RSAU461, problem with activating update rules for cube 0csrv_c01

Hello,
I have added new fields to data source 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H, then changed transfer rules, added characteristics to ODS 0crm_proh, and reactivated update rules 80crm_proh. But now I have problem with second update rules for this cube named 80crm_cnfh. It is not active and all fields in it have red status, error RSAU461, and I cannot activate it.
What I should do? Should I change somehow that second source for data to my cube (change infosource, ods, rule?)

As said by the Mti u have just changed the info objects in the ods and u need to map them with the specific info objects from the ods.
double click on the Update rules of the cube and go to the characteristic tab there map the newly added info objects with the IO in the ods.
