Missing videos after rendering

Hello!
I'm a newbie with After Effects.
I have the following problem: I have a After Effects Project file. In the folder Media Holders there are files with names MEDIA HOLDER 1, MEDIA HOLDER 2, etc. How do I replace them with my files? With right-click option is not available "Replace Footage" option. I use Set Proxy->File and on preview I see my video, but after rendering there is no my video.
Regards!

Oh, thank you very much. I will try it soon

  • Missing videos after automatically "rebuilding library"

I took a bunch of photos and videos during xmas, and yesterday I wanted to take a picture and I got the message "rebuilding library". At the end of this I noticed my imovie project was missing videos and everything was in wrong order.
I am abroad during xmas and dont have access to a pc. I am worried I have lost a lot of my footage. Can anyone help me. Is there a recovery software or anything??
Just to clarify, I didnt ask it to rebuild my library. It just did it automatically when I accessed my camera roll.

    File -> New Smart Album
    Photo -> is -> Movie
will find all the movies in your Library.

  • Horizontal red lines across video after rendering

Hi I was color correcting a video in Adobe Premiere Pro Cs5 and had remove some noise with Neat Video.  The video looks fine with the small screen, however, I adjusted it to full screen and noticed a lot of red horizontal lines across the whole video.  The video was 720x480.  I would like to know what am I doing wrong.  I'm a beginner in color correction and using Adobe Premiere Pro. Thanks.

i hope the picture helps you. There's not much information to get.  It only happens after I finish rendering. I'm using adobe cs4 premiere. There is nothing wrong with the footage.

  • MISSING  Video after Time Machine Restore

    Hi All.
I had a drive go bad and had to buy a new one and restore from Time Capsule. I am noticing that I am missing a slideshow video that I spend a good deal of time creating. I went from a 500 GB to a 1 TB drive which I assume does not matter. The slideshow was in a Project folder.
I also noticed that I am missing a recent import of about 20 images that were in this folder but I have to take a look to see if there are /other/ images from this same import that I put into different projects (I imported photos from a digital camera and I /moved/ them to the Projects they belonged within).
It is possible that I have a more recent backup on my external portable USB drive than was on the Time Capsule, and I am wondering if there is an easy way to search for this information either on my external USB or on the Time Capsule.
I can't honestly say /why/ this slideshow and the images are missing but they are...I /can/ see that the last import of photos may have been so recent as to not make a schedule TM backup but it seems very odd that the video that was on there for a number of days would not be in the backup...
Thanks. I'm new to mac and to Aperture.

    Hi again.

Yes, I remember you working on that.
I went from a 500 GB to a 1 TB drive which I assume does not matter. The slideshow was in a Project folder.
    The size won't matter.
It is possible that I have a more recent backup on my external portable USB drive than was on the Time Capsule, and I am wondering if there is an easy way to search for this information either on my external USB or on the Time Capsule.
In the Finder you can use the File>Find file command to search for the missing files. You can also use spotlight (cmd spacebar) to search for it.
I can't honestly say /why/ this slideshow and the images are missing but they are...I /can/ see that the last import of photos may have been so recent as to not make a schedule TM backup but it seems very odd that the video that was on there for a number of days would not be in the backup...
There have been reports of a number of incidents using TimeMachine:
If it's on a wireless network it is unreliable - all wireless network disks are unreliable with Aperture.
If Aperture is running TimeMachine does not make any backups from it.
Backups are combined as the days and weeks go by. Some items will, inevitably, not be available after that.

  • 6110 Navigator: Missing videos after closing camer...

    Hello.
I was shooting some video scene, and in a rush, closed the sliding cover before pressing the "STOP" button. I thought that would save the captured video as well, but alas, the video file could not be found at all in the memory card. Pretty sad.
Does anyone have similar experience and a way to recover the unsaved videos (.mp4)? I have tried some pretty strong flashdisk recovery utils and only those files I have purposely deleted, can be seen and recovered.
Which led me to think - where does Nokia store the video cache, while shooting a video AND before saving it. Or does it write to the actual .mp4 file while shooting?
    Thanxs for all your help.
    Regards,
    Roger

    Hi folks,
I just purchased the 6110 Navigator, and was really impressed with the cool navigation software.
That is, until I discovered that it very frequently crashes with the following message:
"Closing applications" and then after a few seconds "Remove memory card and press OK"
I travelled for 4 hours yesterday, used the GPS maybe 20 minutes in total, and it crashed more than 10 times within this timeframe...
    I'm running latest firmware version 03.58 (20-06-07)
I have a 2GB memory card, and have used Route66 sync to backup original card (Nordic maps), formattet new card in phone, and then restored original map with Route66sync. Also purchased maps "Eastern Europe" + Alps from Route66shop.
Both Alps and Eastern Europe maps crashes all the time. Havent testet Nordic maps yet.
I can provoke the crash by running "simulate route". The phone is then not moved at all. Simulation works OK for a random number of seconds, and then crash.
Any idea how this can be fixed?
And until I get it fixed, does it exist an S60 utility which let the phone redetect the memory card? I'm so fed up of turning the phone off/on or removing/reinserting the memory card now...

    Hi There,
I have similar problem. The application crashes when I select "show on map" or try to navigate to any new destinations. When an old landmark is selected "show on map" works as well as navitation.
I have the latest software update and reloaded the maps. Is there a way to reload the application?
    Thanks,

  • Poor quality video after rendering

    Hello everyone,
I'm trying to make a Blu-ray DVD of a 1920 X 1080 avi clip of a looping logo for a client's show. The clip looks ok in the avi form (compressed with laragith codec) but when I turn it into Mpeg2 HD it looks worst with jagged edges on everything. I have tried both Mpeg2 & H.264. I have done CBR recording at max quality & close to max data rates. The original clip is 1920 X 1080 (1.0) 30fps and I have rendered it in Premiere CS3 with a custom timeline of 1920 X 1080 (1.0) and tried both progressive and interlaced without much difference. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Okay, here goes the entire story. We use a program called Office FX made by a company called Instant Effects to add motion video to our power point presentation. Now the other day a client that we're about to do a show for requested a looping logo for some side screens. We had created this effect in Office FX and now had to find a way to place it on a Blu-ray disc. You can "publish" a file from Office FX, but the only choices are 1)Uncompressed, but with a 2GB limit, 2) DivX, which can't be read by either AE or Premiere, 3) Lagarith, which is a LOSSLESS codec. Since the clip is 30 seconds in length the uncopressed option is out. The Lagarith clip (which is about 200 MB in size) actually looks pretty good, through you can see the start of some the problems I'm having ( I failed to mentioned the banding issues which seems inherent in Mpeg2). So to recap. 1) I can only use Lagarith, 2) It is Lossless and pretty good, 3) The avi is 30 seconds in length and 200 MB in size. The resulting Mpeg2 and H.264 files are 1:30 in length (I tripled them on the timeline) and around 400 MB in size. I have tried 1080i at 29.97, and 1080p at 24. The best result I've had in removing the jagged edges is with H.264 but the downside has been codec artifacts (square boxes showing up in the image). Also, please note I did a custom timeline with 1920 X 1080 (1.0 pixels) and laragith as my render

  • Poor quality video after rendering in CS6

    Hi all,
I've recently updated to cs6 and was looking forward to the video editing aspect. Very familiar with iMovie, and don't like the somewhat limited adjustments. Unfortunately, when I rendered my first video in CS6, the quality was horrible. Any suggestions where to turn for advice or tutorials would be greatly appreciated (searching the forum and the web for photoshop video, or movie doens't point me in a helpful direction).
    Thanks!

Sorry for the lack of details, I was somewhat looking for a decent online guide but I'd also appreciate any advice as well.
Camera is a Panasonic 3ccd PV-GS500 mini-dv player. I use it primarily for children's theatre performances where the lighting is often suspect. Lots of shadows and poor coloration (blue can lighting on, when multi color should have been used, etc.). With pretty good success, I've been able to fix movies with iMovie, but I think photoshops adjustment layers can really help problem videos where iMovie falls short. I typically export to Media Browser, then use iDVD to create a dvd presentation of the play.
When I tried to do a quick video in photoshop cs6, the export quality was quite poor -- I exported using render video with the default settings that popped up.
    Thanks for the help!

  • Imovie on my ipad ...refuses to recognize AVCHD Video. Also when i remove video clips already used in a project, it is unable to recognize missing clips after I've put them back. How do I get around these 2 issues?

My iMovie refuses to recognize, import, or work with AVCHD Video. It also refuses the same video clips even after I have converted them to Mp4. Also, when I delete a video clip already used in a project, then later import the same clip back to my ipad, the software is unable to recognize and find the clip again! Help! How do I get around these issues?

    Hi Craig,
I also got the second problem. The storyboard on iMovie trailer has all these missing videos. If I import them on my iPad it doesn't find them.
If you find a solution it would be much appreciated to share it here ... I'll do the same.
    Thanks,

  • PE7 - stop video from running after rendering text titles

    Hi gang,
When I add manual "sub-titles"  aka text titles to my videos, it works best when I render them as I'm going along with the ENTER key.    That's fine but the video then wants to KEEP start playing from the start and that's driving me bananas.  Can I turn this off?
Sorry, if this has been mentioned before.

    Petey

    Hi Hunt,
Indeed, I would never want the video to playback automatically after rendering.
In PE7, it was exactly where you mentioned.
BTW - rearranging menus is part of the neverending game, that drives us all constant upgraders completey bonkers!!!  Just like how AVI export dissappeared and reappeared into SHARE in PE 7.   What a nomad! hehe

  • Video "Hits" After Rendering

After I render a piece of my timeline and look at it on our studio monitor, I'm getting a good amount of what I would call "hits" in the video, like hits you would see on an old tape that's past its prime. The timeline has a number of graphics layered on top of one another with text and moving jpegs, with a broadcast safe filter on everything.
I've had weird things appear after rendering before, but they've always gone away after rerendering. This time they're pretty consistently in the same spots.
Any ideas about settings I should look into or other work arounds?

I have seen this on several occasions and there seem to be a few causes.
    possibilities:
    1) you are using the Broadcast safe filter, if the clipping on your images are extreme you get strange green and white artifacts after rendering. Try using the 3-way color corrector to bring levels down before applying the BS filter. Or if the artifacts are occurring on graphics, make adjustments in Photoshop (or whatever program you created the graphics in) and bring them back into FCP. A lot of people create graphics using the full range of RGB colors and luminance values. NTSC video does not have as large of a chroma and luma range as RGB.
    2) You are working in an uncompressed 10-bit sequence and applying filters that are not compatible (for lack of a better word) with Apple's 10-bit codec. (Or you are just getting random render problems in 10-bit). I have had many, many render issues in 10-bit that went away by switching to 8-bit. In most cases you can't really see much difference between 8 and 10 bit video anyway, so why go through the hassle or working with it. If you are doing a lot of green screen work, you may want to reevaluate this argument.
I'm sure there are other possible causes for the problems you're experiencing, but these are the ones I've run into in the past.
Graeme Nattress knows a lot about 10-bit issues in FCP, perhaps he can chime in with some suggestions/explanations.

  • After rendering, video track turns a solid green?

Using FCE 3.5, after rendering video, the audio track works, but the video track is all just a solid green frame.  No video whatesover, only green.  Any ideas on how to fix this???  Thanks so much.

First, what effect(s) are you applying?  Are there settings in the effect that might be turning the video green?  Are you trying to chroma key a green screen?
Also, details help.  Exactly what model Mac are you using?  What version of OS X?  What are your sequence settings?  What is the source of the video clip?  Clip properties?  Any other effects you are using on the same clip(s)?

  • After rendering, my video is playing back the wrong size.

After rendering my sequence changed to 1440 x 1080 instead of 1920 x 1080. I am unable to change this in sequence settings. Help please?

"Creative Cloud with all the current updates" is not enough information; please report the exact version number displayed in the About Premiere Pro dialog. If it turns out that you're on 7.1, they you might be hitting the bug discussed in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5826830#5826830.
I'm not clear on what exactly the problem is. Is it that the video appears squeezed in the horizontal dimension during playback? Or did the sequence's dimensions actually get changed?
What are the Program Monitor's Zoom Level and Playback Resolution?
What are the sequence settings? (a screenshot of the Sequence Settings dialog would help.)
Do you have GPU acceleration enabled? If so, please try switching the Renderer to Software Only and see if the problem persists.

Shane is trying to find out if you're working with material that's not in a fcp friendly format, like h264.  It's also possible that your sequence is corrupt.  Create a new sequence with the same settings, make the old sequence active, select all (command-a) copy (command-c), make the new sequence active and paste (command-v)
