Missing WB metadata info

I have Bridge CS3.
The metadata shows the White Balance title but not the WB camera setting details (eg Cloudy, Tungsten etc).
I have purged the cache and have all the required boxes ticked in preferences.
Even Canon's Zoombrowser shows all the metadata info (incl WB settings).
regards
Peter

i'm not sure if this has been always the case or this
is something different in version 1.1, or i just
haven't noticed it until now.
i notice that opening files that were previously
created in aperture prior to 1.1 into external editor
or exporting looses some metadata information such as
aperture, shutter speed, exposure bias, iso speed
rating, and focal length.
In previous versions of Aperture some of that data was lost for TIFF exports.
You might also want to check the export options you are using (using the "edit" item in the export settings menu) and make sure the ones you are using all have "metadata" checked. I think some of the web-oriented exports (smaller JPG files) have metadata export turned off by default.

  • Linking to Adobe Bridge Metadata info

I have images that I have added to a folder in Adobe Bridge.
I have added metadata (copyright, source etc...) to each image.
I need to track every image I use in an Access database so I
can view the thumbnail for the image in an .asp page. When I click
the thumbnail the larger image appears. This I have already done.
Now what I would like to do is have the larger image to
appear in an (hmtl or asp) page and show the metadata info that I
    inserted via Adobe Bridge.
    Thanks for the help?

Scott, I did have a go at this but I can't get the right path to the logComment in the XMP…
Coping artist to creator works fine… If I find the solution I will post back…

  • Missing package metadata

Hello, I'm trying to install package-query with the command,
    pacman -U http://mir.archlinux.fr/~tuxce/releases … 1.1.tar.gz
However, it installs and gives the error
    missing package metadata in /var/cache/pacman/pkg/package-query-1.1.tar.gz
Then it says that that file is corrupted. I tried this for other things in the aur and it does the same thing.I'm running a base install and this is literally the first file I'm downloading, please help.

First that url is incorrect, I think you mean http://mir.archlinux.fr/~tuxce/releases … 1.1.tar.gz
Second, even the correct url just gets the source code, not a package. And I suspect anything you tried to get off the AUR was just the compressed files needed to build a package, unless you also ran makepkg to build something.
I suggest taking a look at the wiki page

  • Import GPS metadata info into Lightroom

How do I import GPS metadata info into Lightroom from either my camera or from disk?  I'm using lightroom 3.2.  It shows up in CS5 Bridge, why not in Lightroom?
    oracle 52

I downloaded the plug-in and used the metadata file preset for geo-tagging plus all the others in Adobe Lightroom 3 prior to "import" using the "Add" submenu.  Only under the geo-tagging preset in Metadata did I see the "labels" of latitude, longitude, etc.  However, the metadata for each of the photos for these labels were blank.  Yet, when viewing these photos on Nikon VX from which the photos was imported shows the correct GPS coordinates.  Why isn't this data being displayed in Lightroom as it appears from the original file on my hard drive?

  • Metadata fields missing in File Info

I had to reinstall PSCS3 and Bridge this morning. Have all of the updates as of today. Now, for some unknown reason, when I go to "File Info" I am missing many of categories on the left. All I have are "Description, Origin, and Advanced". Did I toggle off a setting in prefs that I didn't catch? Help keep me from going insane.

Problem solved on another site. If interested in the answer; I've included the link to the other forum post.

  • File is missing in Document Info Record

    Hi,
we are facing a serious Problem. A File that should be on one of our Document Info Records (DIR) is missing. The Change History shows a checkout and Checkin as last action for this file. There was no deletion activity.
The File can be still found in our FileBased ContentServer but as it is compressed (due to Content-Server compression) it can not be read.
Now i have two questions about that:
    1. What might be happened that this file is no more attached on DIR without doing any deletion operation?
    2. What can we do to reattach the compressed File that is in ContentServer?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,
as the file should be checked in to a content server repository please test the report DMS_KPRO_READ. Here you can enter the document info record data and the result will show you all assigned original files. Further there is a small green download button which should enable you to download the file to your PC.
    Best regards,

  • Missing "Purchased By" Info

I am unable to play a few of my songs from an album I downloaded a while ago.  The album includes over 100 songs, so I didn't notice until now.  These songs include the "Account Name" info, but not the "Purchased By" info.  This seems to prevent me from listening to them, as iTunes thinks I'm not authorized to play them.  Even if this is not the problem, all of the songs that are missing this info cannot be played.  Does anyone have any advice as to how I can fix this?  Thank you in advance.

iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases
Under some conditions you can just delete the particular track from iTunes, then re-download it for free if permitted in your country.

  • Missing image size info in catalog

Many of my catalog images (LR 3.6) do not show file size or pixel information for the associated image file.  I suspect this is a hangover from an import of photos from Photoshop Elements which I used in the past.  The problem is that when I put such an image in a slideshow or web gallery, the exported image is not properly displayed.
To get around this, I can export the image files to a hard drive directory in original format, and then re-import them into my web gallery collection.  The correct file size info is then available in the catalog, and the image reproduces correctly in the exported gallery.
I know (or at least hope) this is a kludge, and there is a more straightforward method to correct the catalog.  I have many photos with incomplete image information.
    Any ideas?

Difficult to know for sure.  Example:  Out of a collection of 30 images transferred from PSE, all have "Error writing metadata", and none show prior edit history, including cropping. (most likely transferred all as JPEG.)  Of the 30, five images display filesize correctly in the Library, and are subsequently sized correctly when exported or put in the "Develop" module.  All others are not.
One of the five good images was definitely cropped; the remaining 29 I cannot remember.  I typically straighten and crop many of my picks, however.

  • Missing device registration info

After the infamous security breach of Sony's "secure" network, my device info I had registered last January is now missing. Looks like a reset of information. Also, I wasn't prompted to change my password when I logged into the Sony site as mentioned in the updated press release on Sony's site. I had to manually change my password; The issue I also have with the their passwords is I can't use special characters! Less secure in my book.

  • Losing out custom metadata info of few documents of a document librarby when migrated from MOSS 2007 to Sharepoint 2010

We have recently migrated from moss2007 to sharepoint 2010.We have a document library containing large no. of documents in it  & for those documents there are some custom metadata columns apart from OOB library columns . We have user content DB attach
migration and after that we can see blank value under the custom columns for some records. However interesting point is we can see this metadata is showing for few documents.
    Please suggest.

    Hi,
What is your Office edition? When we create a managed metadata column in a Document Library, it will prompt that ‘Earlier versions of client programs might not support this type of column’. You should use Office 2010 to edit and create a document then save
    to document library .
For detailed information ,please refer to this article:

  • View metadata info in full edit

I am using PSE8 on a Mac with snow leopard. I have read in "the missing manual" and help files, that the "file info" panel will show the meta data information including camera information and keywords (although they cannot be changed).
However all the information I can obtain within the info panel are those relating to colours and location in the image.
I presume I am missing the salient point to obtain this information. The information is available in Bridge but not in full edit? Any assistance would be welcome

    1. No I do not see that information.
    2. I have an image open and active in Full edit which i know has Data in it as i can see it in Bridge. The only result I get when selecting  File info is the panel above the histogram with data relating to colours and position.
If I reset all panels and select File info I get no change to anything nor any info panel.
The program was downloaded as free trial then I purchased the full version and used the code to register the program - should I re instal?

  • Missing caption metadata in Export Version

I have a new Canon SX260. When I export version from Aperture 3.3.2, caption info isn't included in the exported file. Location and EXIF are included. Exported versions from my older Canon S2IS and from my iPhone do have caption info.  I can export the metadata into a text file OK. Export preset has "include Metadata" checked. I would expect that Aperture creates a new JPEG with space for all the metadata even if the original file didn't have the space.  Any suggestions to getting the caption included in the exported version?

In a separate thread, this solution was provided.  Now all the captions that I exported show up int he caption field when I re-import the photos.
Re: Exports Don't Include IPTC/Copyright Info
Nov 8, 2012 6:39 AM (in response to jas)
I had jpg (not raw) images in Aperture from both a Nikon D5100 and a Nikon AW100. I added captions to the images and then exported them as jpegs. The D5100 jpgs show the caption under Preview, the AW100 jpg do not.
I found a work-around using the free program exiftool (google it) and Terminal.
In terminal I changed to the folder which contained my AW100 images and then entered this command to re-write all the IPTC data.
    exiftool -iptc:all= -tagsfromfile @ -all:all -unsafe  ./

  • Bridge CC (mac) does not display EXIF metadata info of my camera

below is the screen shot of the error:
i deleted CC prefs, uninstalled/reinstalled, tried many things. problem persists. any ideas, can you please help?
by the way, it does not display TIFFs:
    thanks in advance,
    murat

For anyone who may find this post wondering why they can't see the specific EXIF data for each photo... "Show Metadata Placard" may be what you're looking for. Click the drop down at the top right of your Metadata panel and tick "Show Metadata Placard."  This will display a panel that looks like the info. panel on your camera (shutter speed, f-stop, iso, white balance, etc.).
I had to figure this out after getting frustrated by the fact that Camera Data (Exif) in the Metadata panel only shows the "Max Aperture Value" of the lens instead of the aperture value that you actually shot.

  • Metadata info entry

I'm organizing all my images and I need to add metadata information to the images.  The data that i need to enter is common to all the images in a folder so how can I enter the info to more than one image at the same time?  Can I add it to the folder?  The same goes for keywords.
    Thanks
    R.

Also, be sure to select them from the grid of the Grid View not the filmstrip below.  Selecting multiple images from the filmstrip will not work the same and will only update the first selected item.  I have not checked to see if this is still the case in the v3b2.
