Mission Control & Mail Problem
Until yesterday, I wasn't even aware of "Misision Control" until I somehow made my mail window fill the entire screen. Now I have to use F3 to get back to my applications since there is no Dock at the bottom of the mail window. This is inconvenient, and I don't like the mail window filling the large screen. I can't figure out how to return the window to normal because the arrows that should be in the upper right corner are not there anymore.
While I'm here, I may as well ask about my Firefox Bookmark window. Until about six months ago the window was narrow. I don't know how I did it, but one day I touched something that made the window quite large (it doesn't fill the screen). There are no visible places at the corners to resize the window. How can I fix that as well?
Thanks.
Just found this post that addressed my issue, thanks.

Mission Control - mail attachments
Ok, another problem with Mission Control - open an attachment from Mail in fullscreen (an Excel attachment anyway), and you get an Excel window in the Mail Space, but you can't get the menu bar for Excel. You also can't move the Excel window into another space, so there's no way to do a lot of editing tasks. This is the second major flaw I've found with the way Lion handles windows. 'Early adopter' or 'beta tester'?
Can anyone offer a solution?Bug report would be what I would do.
My wife is also experiencing issues with iTunes running in full screen and watching movies in her iTunes library. I cant quite pinpoint or replicate the the bug. But it also screws up her Safari running full screen. She is using OSX version 10.7.1 (Whatever is the most up to date as of today).
I'm guessing it has something to do with fullscreen iTunes, movies, Safari, and sleep mode (like closing the lid of laptop and later opening it). -
Anyone having a mission control distortion problem?
Ok I was wondering if anyone is having the same issue as me. While using Mission Control I am getting a distortion issue which worries me that I have a graphic card issue. However this only happens while using mission control and nothing else. It also only seems to happen while using an Adobe application. I am sure it is not adobe though because it does not happen at work. I am using a 27 inch iMac Late 2012, 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB Ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB.
I am using OS X Yosemite 10.10.1. Please refer to the images and any feedback is appreciated.Meaning any links that someone may include in a Facebook status update? If so, no I have not. Explain more in detail.

Mission Control Problem: Unable to Assign Mail Application
I have used Mountain LIon since release with no problem. Today I restarded my computer after it died of battery and now I am unable to assign my mail application to a desktop as I had previously been able todo. I am able to full screen the application which then keeps it in one pane but I do not like to use it that way as I like to have multiple emails open at once. Once I drag the application in mission control to a new desktop it does not get the dark hilight and pops back into palce. The mail application appears on every desktop that is not an application in full screen mode. See pictures, please help!
This is me trying to move the mail app into a desktop.
This is the same attempt with system prefrences.Just found this post that addressed my issue, thanks.

Problem to get Mission Control 3.0.1 running with JBoss 4.2.2GA
Hello,
I'm using JRockit R27.04 to run JBoss 4.2.2GA with the following VM parameters:
-Xmanagement:ssl=false,authenticate=false,port=7091,autodiscovery=true -Djavax.management.builder.initial=org.jboss.system.server.jmx.MBeanServerBuilderImpl -Djboss.platform.mbeanserver
It's working fine but when I try to use any feature of Mission Control (console, memleak, JRA, ...) pointing to JBoss, I get a ClassNotFoundException:
Could not open Memory Leak Detector for (1.6) org.jboss.Main (4460).

Can anyone help me?
Thank's,

Java/JEE Architect - BrasilIt was a good attempt, but I'm still getting the same exceptions.
I tried to create a new service file, and it was successful deployed:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<server>
<mbean code="bea.jrockit.management.JRockitConsole" name="bea.jrockit.management:type=JRockitConsole">
</mbean>
</server>
After it I opened JBoss JMX Console and I saw the following mbeans published:
bea.jrockit.management
type=Compilation
type=DiagnosticCommand
type=GarbageCollector
type=JRA
type=JRockitConsole
type=Log
type=MemLeak
type=Memory
type=PerfCounters
type=Profiler
type=Runtime
So, it appears that all jkrockit MBeans are published, but the problem persist.
Any other suggestion?
Thanks,

Problems with scrolling and Mission Control
I have this problem:
When scrolling down any page, the letters will blur at the top of the screen and not the bottom.
When swiping acrross pages in the launchpad, it occasionaly freezes half way between the two.
When I swipe up with four fingers to access mission control, the screen becomes very sluggish. Swiping back down (or clicking a tab) is even worse, causing slow "laggy" animations.

Problem in mission control : placement of the desktops isn't memorized
Hi everyone!
It's my first topic here, so please, be kind if I'm not respecting the rules...
Here is my problem :
Today, I'm doing some HTML coding in textwrangler, and testing the pages with safari on a second desktop. I'm opening the pages in safari with a finder window opened in a third desktop. I'm on my macbook pro and i'm switching desktops with the 4 fingers technique. I have placed the desktops in that order :
1) Textwrangler
2) Safari
3) Finder
When i'm using the 4 fingers and go into the finder to look after a page, trying it into safari, the order is changed :
1)Textwrangler
2) Finder
3) Safari
Is anyone encountering something like that with mission control? Do you know how to fix it? I hope you'll be interested in my problem.
Thank you!
NelsonThanks a lot, I hadn't seen the options in preferencies... Let me go buying glasses!

Mission Control keyboard shortcut problems
I have a problem with my keyboard shortcuts (changing space with Mission Control)
Sometimes they do not work... then I have to reset PRAM (using this guide http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379) and then it works again. Then after some time it fails again.
Anyone having the same problem?Just another quick update, the link above is not possible CSGO and other steam games do not allow you to define custom shortcuts. I found an article on the web indicating that scripting this is not possible either as the plist you modify requires killing the mission control process entirely to reload the settings, and then doesn't remember the modification you make to the plist anyway. This is a real pain, maybe I have to learn to deal with AWSD controls in FPS games if I intend to use the mac :-/

Desktop background problems: 27" iMac/Mission Control
I've just installed a 27" iMac running 10.8 with 16 GB RAM. I use 4 desktops at a time with different backgrounds in each. When changing between e.g. desktops 2 and 3, via CTRL-right-arrow, Mission Control annoyingly flashes the desktop 1 background before replacing it with the desktop 3 background.
I have replicated the problem on the other 27" iMac's I have access to, and with a variety of desktop backgrounds (e.g. only the Apple provided ones)
and with various amounts of RAM (8 GB to 16GB). It is a consistent problem on all 27" iMac's running 10.8 as far as I can see.
Mission Control handled multiple desktop backgrounds flawlessly under my previous set up (iMac 21"/10.7).

Since upgrading from Mavericks to Yosemite Mail, Spotlight, Mission Control and App-Store don´t work correctly. Is it possible to return to Mavericks?
If you have an external drive with an OS X Time Machine backup, then do restore of your last backup. If you have an external drive with a bootable clone of your previous system, you can boot to that clone and re-clone the OS X on your external drive back to your Mac's internal drive.
If you do not have either of these available, then the reverting/restoring process becomes much more complicated and involves purchasing an external drive and backing up your current system to that drive, then erasing, reformatting your hard drive and now your only options to installng an OS X version is doing a clean install of OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, then upgrading, again, to either OS X 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion. OS X 10.9 Mavericks is no longer available for download and Apple has not made OS X 10.9 Mavericks available in any other form to be able to redownload and install.
Maybe it would be better to explain in detail your issues with Yosemite to see if any of us here can help you with your difficulties.
I am not running or using Yosemite, so I cannot help you with your Yosemite issues,
There are others here who can help you with Yosemite.
Good Luck. -

After I updated to 10.7.2, when I swipe into mission control then select a different app with the spacebar then swipe back out of mission control, the menu bar on the top does not switch to the new app, it stays as the previous open app. But, if I click on the new app instead of using the spacebar then the menu bar switches correctly. Is anyone else having this problem?
I have had the same issue since initial 10.7.0 install. Doesn't seem to affect function at all.. but disconcerting nonetheless. I have yet to find anything acknowleding the problem or how to fix it.

is anyone experiencing problems with opening mission control from the desktop. Running mountain lion with parallels 7 and windows 7
I had been having a similar problem on Lion with Safari pdf files despite downloading the latest Adobe Reader XI.
I would constantly get the same messages - There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired. And I would get a blank page when I tried to print the pdf if I tried printing from the Safari web page using File - Print from the top toolbar on my laptop.
Then I came across the grey Safari lozenge with action icons.
This allowed me, without downloading the pdf, to print the pdf file direct from the Safari page by using the Print icon on the grey lozenge that appears centrally three quarters down the screen.
Then I discovered that if I save the pdf using the Save icon from this same grey lozenge on the Safari page I can open and print this pdf version from my desktop.
I've tested it with a couple of different pdf files and these methods work using the grey lozenge icons but the same pdfs files don't work using File - Save As on the Tool Bar. -

For the version of JRockit that you are running, you need to have a license file to run JRockit Mission Control.
Information about how to find a license file can be found here
In the normal case, you will get better and faster response to JRockit Mission Control questions if you ask them in the JRMC Forum
Good luck,

I've just installed the Safari 6.1.1 and iTunes 11.1 updates. For some reason this seems to have affected Mission control on my computer (late 2011 Macbook pro running Mountain Lion).
I can now no longer highlight and select the large desktop window in Mission Control (the one that open apps appear above). This is really annoying as it makes navigating around much more of a hassle now.
Does anyone have any ideas? I've tried repairing Disk permissions already. Thanks.I'm surprised that given the usual hysteria over anything new that Apple brings out Apple didn't realise that providing this upgrade solely via a downloading method may cause a few problems upon its release!!
