Mistake in removing owb

db: 10gr2
owb: 10.2
development on Solaris 2-node RAC
I recently deinstalled owb. Long story short, I did so without first unregistering my target schema. This was a mistake because it left behind (in my target schema) a slew of things. Shortly after that I reinstalled owb and started the client. Upon attempting to once again register this db user/schema as an owb user as a target schema, an error message states that it cannot register 'ods' as a target because it is still considered a target of the previous repository.
Short of dropping this schema and recreating it (which is the last thing I want to do b/c of dependencies to other schemas), is there anything I can do to clean up this user?
Thanks.

Fixed it. To answer my own posting, the solution was to remove from 'ods' anything related to WB. This included a table called WB_RT_VERSION_FLAG, procedures, packages, roles, and sysnonyms.
All I can say is thank you to the 'multiple selection' button in Enterprise Manager!!
I was once again able to register 'ods' as a target schema for my new repository.

    How do I get Time Machine back on my dock? I made a mistake and removed it from dock, somehow ended up in trash, what do I do?

    Uh…you're saying two entirely different things here. If you removed Time Machine from the Dock, it could not be in the Trash. But if you removed it from your Applications or Utilities folder and put it in the Trash, that's a problem.
    So, which one did you really do?

  • Mistake, I removed user account safe and takes forever

    Can anybody help please, I can't seem to find the complete answer with the search mode.
    I bought a new macbookpro and tried to move my large Iphoto library with migration assistent. The assistent created a new user account. I wanted to delete this account and did it in 'safe' mode, stupid me!
    It wasn't nessesary because I will be the only one to use this computer. The process of removing (not only the user, but also the 45gig home folder) takes forever... Now more than 24hours and I can't shut down system preferences.
    Question: Can I interrupt this process, without affecting my admin account, and re-delete the user in the normal way? (Without the safe-option that overwrites 30 times the things I want to delete) And how?
    I know it's best to leave it alone, but time is a factor. Help would be grately appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Peter

    That happened because you didn't do the migration when you first booted up in Setup Assistant. Backup whatever you can, like any bundled software (iLife, iWork)
    To re-install Restart computer and hold down Cmd+R. Use DIsk Utility to erase your Mac OS X partition.It will take you to Recovery Volume. Follow the directions from there. It should now boot into Setup Assistant and you can do the migration from there.

  • How to get back iWork apps if I removed them by mistake.

    How to get back iWork apps if I removed them by mistake?
    Note that I bought my mac pro retina in the first week of December 2014. Yosemite, Numbers, Pages and Keynote were already installed. By mistake I removed the three apps by dragging them into trash. If I log into the Appstore, I see that Pages, Numbers and Keynote are not available for free now.
    How do I get them back?
    PS: I want to get the genuine versions without resorting to illegal means or taking advantage of bugs.
    Thanks in advance.

    Basics of File Recovery
    Files in Trash
    If you simply put files in the Trash you can restore them by opening the Trash (left-click on the Trash icon) and drag the files from the Trash to your Desktop or other desired location.  OS X also provides a short-cut to undo the last item moved to the Trash -press COMMAND-Z.
    If you empty the Trash the files are gone. If a program does an immediate delete rather than moving files to the Trash, then the files are gone.  Recovery is possible but you must not allow any additional writes to the hard drive - shut it down. When files are deleted only the directory entries, not the files themselves, is modified. The space occupied by the files has been returned to the system as available for storage, but the files are still on the drive. Writing to the drive will then eventually overwrite the space once occupied by the deleted files in which case the files are lost permanently. Also if you save a file over an existing file of the same name, then the old file is overwritten and cannot be recovered.
    General File Recovery
    If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten by using recovery software such as Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro.  Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive.  Two free alternatives are Disk Drill and TestDisk.  Look for them and demos at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads.
    The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

  • Saving processed files in original raw (or DNG?) format

    Hello. I'm new to Lightroom, so although I've spent a day or so ploughing through the tutorials, please accept my apologies if my question seems dumb.
    However I can't see an answer to my problem so far.
    It is this: after importing my raw files (CR2) into Lightroom and processing them etc to get them to a result I'm happy with, I'd now like to be able to keep the new, processed version of my images somewhere in Lightroom in the original raw format so that I can quickly access those processed images again in the future and then export in  appropriate formats as I choose, which might be screen jpegs or prints or whatever – different from my first export.
    In other words, I know I can 'save' (export) files to a folder as jpegs etc, but if I subsequently decide to export those same files in a different format (e.g prints), I don't want to have to go back to the original raw files and start the processing all over again to arrive at what I'd already been happy with, in order to re-export.
    I suspect I'm missing something really basic here, but it's so basic I can't work out what it is!
    I suppose another way of reframing the question might be: is there a way I can save and store my processed raw images in Lightroom so that I can access them easily, and not have to re-process them unless I want to?
    I haven't yet got my head around DNG files. Is this part of the solution perhaps?
    Lightroom is incredibly fantastic, but now that I've managed to get my images to where I want them, I don't want to re-visit the processing on them un-necessarily, which is what I seem to be doing at the moment...
    I have Lightroom 5.4 on a Macbook Air running Mavericks OSX 10.9.2 if it makes any difference.
    Thank you, I would be very grateful for your advice.

    While the advice to read Victoria bampton's Quick Start Guide is excellent, I'd like to provide a little shorter piece of philosphy that might help
    Lightroom works differenlty than any other software you may have used in the past. You would be wise to eliminate from your brain your ideas about how to manage files and edits that might have been present in your mind from your use of other photo editing software. You would be wise to start using Lightroom with a clean slate in your mind about how things work. Your statements above show clearly that you are thinking that Lightroom works the same as other photo managing/editing software, and this will lead you/already has lead you in the wrong direction, and in harmful directions.
    So wipe the slate clean. Prepare to learn how to manage files and manage edits from a clean slate.
    Things that are different about Lightroom
    Lightroom is completely non-destructive editing. This means that the pixels in your original photos are NEVER (that's NEVER, a very strong word, chosen intentionally to mean, well it means NEVER) changed by Lightroom. This implies that you do NOT need to make a copy of a photo before you start editing it. Making a copy of a photo before you start editing it is a complete waste of time and disk space. (Also see side comment below)
    Edits are not stored by saving a copy of the edited photo on your hard disk, as Photoshop or Photoshop Elements would do. Edits are not, by default, stored in the photo file itself. Edits are stored in the Lightroom catalog, which is a database file. The edits are essentially stored as numbers (example: Exposure +0.5, contrast +20, Highlights –15) in the catalog. You cannot turn this method of saving edits in the catalog off. As a result, if you close Lightroom after you perform some edits, and then open Lightroom again at some later time, your edits will be in the catalog, and displayed for you automatically, without you taking any specific "save" action or without you taking any specific action to tell Lightroom to display the edits.
    However, some people make the critical mistake of removing the photos from Lightroom after the edits are completed ... this also removes the edits from Lightroom and (in Lightroom's default mode of operation) the edits are now lost forever. Even if you use an option in Lightroom to store the edits with the file, this mode of operation requires you to do more work and you recieve less benefits from Lightroom, than simply leaving the photos in Lightroom. Removing photos from Lightroom after the edits are completed is highly unrecommended.
    Photos are never stored in Lightroom. Photos are always stored on your hard disk. They are stored wherever you put them, or where you instruct Lightroom to put them on your hard disk during Import. Lightroom maintains a link in its database to the file's location on disk. As a result, if you move or rename or delete your photos (or the folders that contain them) outside of Lightroom, then Lightroom cannot find the photos and you can no longer work with them in Lightroom. There are ways to fix this, but the best solution IN MY OPINION, is to no longer manage/organize your photos via operating system/folders/file names and to no longer manage/organize your photos by moving them from here to there after importing them; rather you should manage/organize your photos using Lightroom tools such as keywords and other metadata and then you not only have more powerful tools for managing/organizing than you have in your operating system, but the issue regarding Lightroom not being able to find your photos goes away
    Side comment: in item 1 I said you don't have to make a copy before you edit the photos. However you do need to make backups (identical copies) of your original photos and catalog file on a different hard disk. This is to protect against the future situation where your hard disk will fail, resulting in the loss of your photos, and to protect against accidental erasure of your original photos. It is not to protect against Lightroom changing the pixels of your original photos, which as I said, Lightroom does not do.

  • MIRO Invoice Posting Line Item Not Available

    Dear Gurus,
    I am trying to post a PO Invoice. There are 10 line items in the PO but two of them does not appear in the list of line items when trying to post the invoice by entering the PO number in MIRO.
    There is no prior invoice exist in the PO so all 10 line items are open and should show up while processing the invoice.
    I checked those 2 line items which do not appear and nothing seems to be unusual about them. Do you know what could be the reasons?

    Hi ,
    Is it a GR based IV - check the same in the Po.
    Secondly if yes then you will have to have GR for processing the same , in case if the same is put as a mistake then remove the tick from the Po using the T code ME22n and if there are release strategy then you will have to revoke them using the T code ME29n .
    Regards ,
    Dewang.

  • Where's Reflow in Adobe Reader for Android 10.1?

    Thanks to everyone who has downloaded, installed, and provided feedback on the most recent update for Adobe Reader for Android 10.1. While many users are happy with the updates we made in the release, we clearly made a mistake in removing the Reflow feature.  We hear your comments and it’s our top priority to bring this feature back as quickly as possible.  We will let you know as soon as we have additional updates.
    Thank you for your continued support and feedback.

    Thank you, thank you. Anxiously awaiting.
    I am really hindered on Andriod phone by this mishap with 10.1.0.
    Is there any way to down-grade to the previous  v10.0.2?
    I know it had some problems,
    but having Reflow is worth the occasional crash.
    Please consider offering the old version unless there is a v10.2.0
    with Reflow real soon now.
    Thanks.
    SEMI-SOLVED:
    I went to http://get.adobe.com/es/reader/otherversions/ ,
    downloaded "Reader X (10.0.2) for Android 2.1"
    to my Samsung GT-I550 running Android 2.2,
    and then installed it with EasyInstaller from the Market.
    Now I have Reflow again.
    No more upgrade until Reflow is back again.
    Thanks for making the solution available.

    Funny you would mention "heroes" my co-workers actualy use a super hero name for me (NOT my idea).
    But after seeing things I couldn't explain if my life depended on it (on this site) I am more contious of my limitations
    I would definitely fall into the catagory of "knows his limitations and knows the tools to learn and solve problems" but I don't think my company knows the truth of it all.
    Perhaps I should make some very public mistakes to remove the misconceptions my co-workers have.
    better to wait until after reviews for that though

  • NoClassDefFoundError extending class in separate JAR

    I have a class Foo which gets called from my servlet (extends HttpServlet) class. Both Foo and the servlet class are located in WEB-INF/classes and are deployed as part of the war file. Class Foo extends class Bar, which is a different .jar file located in the /WEB-INF/lib directory of the webapp. When I attempt to create an instance of Foo, I get the following exception:

    I'm running this on Windows, and found if I added the classpath the the jar file where the Bar class is located, that it worked fine. But my expectation is that the jar file should have been found because it is in the /WEB-INF/lib dir. There is a line the Tomcat docs that says:
    "Last, any JAR containing servlet API classes will be ignored by the classloader. All other class loaders in Tomcat 5 follow the usual delegation pattern."
    So maybe I need to do something special to load the Bar class, or there's something strange about the way the classes and jars are being loaded that I don't fully understand. I was able to instantiate the Bar class directly from w/in my servlet class, I just can't create an instance of the Foo class that is in /WEB-INF/classes along with the servlet class. So I'm not convinced that the Bar class or associated jar file isn't being loaded.
    I don't want to have to set the classpath explicitly, so I'm looking for advice on why I'm getting this exception and how best to dynamically load the classes I need.
    Thanks.
    ab.

    Thanks for hanging in there so far. Here's the specifics if you want to try to re-create this.
    I have a webapp, which contains the class DBServlet:
    package com.hm.dhca.server;
    public class DBServlet extends HttpServlet
    // Stuff
         public void processInput()
              Foo foo = new Foo();
    The webapp also contains the class Foo:
    package com.hm.dhca.common;
    import com.general.client.common.beans.Bar;
    public class Foo extends Bar
         public Foo()
              super();
              System.out.println("Foo");
    Both of the classes are located in webapps\DHCA\WEB-INF\classes...
    The Bar class is in a separate jar called HMJCommon.jar in the webapps\DHCA\WEB-INF\lib dir.
    Class Bar looks like this:
    package com.general.client.common.beans;
    public class Bar
         public Bar()
              System.out.println("Bar");
    DBServlet creates an instance of Foo as:
    Foo foo = new Foo();
    Which throws the Exception:

    Clues:
    1. All three classes exist in the locations specified above - I have checked this manually.
    2. Within DBServlet, I can create an instance of Bar. But I cannot create an instance of Foo without the exception.
    3. If I move the Foo class from package com.hm.dhca.common to package com.hm.dhca.server (same package as DBSerlvet), everything works fine.
    4. If I modify Tomcat's classpath to include the HMJCommon.jar, it works fine (as previously discussed).
    Theory:
    I have a vague theory that what is happening is that two different webappclassloaders are loading the Foo and Bar classes, for whatever reason. As a result, they can't see each other, because neither is up the hierarchy tree from the other.
    This does not explain how I can instantiate Bar from DBServlet, but not Foo.
    Hope this helps. I think I've corrected previous mistake w/ removing too much from package naming. I'm resorting to the workaround in clue #3 for the moment. But it's not the correct solution, and it's showing that I don't really understand what's going on here.

  • Support for CR2 raw files in Photoshop CS

    Newby here!
    I've used Photoshop CS (the original CS version) for some years processing CRW canon 10D raw files. Now I've upgraded to a later Canon 40D, which produces CR2 files which CS can't read.
    Is it possible for me to download an update / plugin?    Or do I need to upgrade to a newer version of Photoshop?
    At present, I'm opening the CR2 file using Canon's ZoomBrowser software, then I'm able to edit it with Photoshop CS.
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Roger

    Hi and thanks very much for your responses.
    I've tried the DNG route, firstly the most recent version which, although it converted my .CR2 files, could not be read by Photoshop CS.
    Realising my mistake, I removed this DNG converter and installed the older version 2.4 designed to work with CS.
    But still no joy. The .PNG files created still can't be read by photoshop CS and, although I was careful to update the Camera Raw .8bi file in the Plug-ins folder, CS still won't open a .cr2 file OR .dng file.  Despite the fact that both file types are apparently 'available' in the File/Open dialog box!
    So it looks like it's back to using Canon Zoombrowser to open each file before editing in Photoshop...or buy a new version.
    Anyway, thanks for your responses. Much appreciated.  Roger

    I'afraid it was a mistake to remove the event from the library using the Finder.  (It is never a good idea to mess with the contents of libraries with the Finder).  It would have been better to move the event from within iMovie to a different library then move that library to some external storage to free up space.
    You can't replace the event with the Import function - that is for adding clips to an event.
    Libraries containing events from earlier versions of iMovie should be updated automatically, (after you accept a notification that they need to be updated) but you now have an event that iMovie no longer "knows about" and which contains projects which are also out of date.   At least you have the original media from the event back but I don't know how you can restore the projects unless you have a backup of the library from the earlier version of iMovie that contains the problem event.
    probably not a solution but I hope this helps.
    Geoff.
