Mistake in update rules with 0FISCPER

Hi:
I'm having a mistake during de loading of an Infocube. The monitor ends in red cause a message of the update rules (Invalid value '0400401'). This cube is updated by an ODS and the characteristic 0CALDAY. I've checked the dates in the ODS but they're normal.
Any clue where is the mistake.

Hi Herr,
If you are updating FISCPER from CALDAY, you can use the Time distribution in the update rule itself.
Correct it and it should work.

Unable to map Update Rule with u201CMaster data attribu201D option

Hi,
Does anybody know the reason why sometimes, in update rules to an ODS, I cannot map an InfoObject with the option u201CMaster data attribu201D?
I have the characteristic in the ODS, and for another update rule, to the same ODS, I am able to map this field correctly, but for a specific rule, the u201CMaster data attribu201D field appears in blank when I press F4.
Strange this behaviouru2026

I didn't insert the InfoObject as an InfoProvider.
The problem is that I have two update rules for the same ODS object. For one I can map the characteristic correctly, and for the other, when I press F4 in the "Master Data Attrib", no characteristics appear.

Problem: Exchange rate in Update rules with DELTA mode

Hi experts,
During the loading since the ODS13BIL towards the CUBE, I use in the update rule the function
"CONVERT_TO_LOCAL_CURRENCY" to convert a currency.
The loading mode is DELTA.
If I modify an invoice in the system source (R/3) for example: "change on" (0CH_ON), during the loading delta since the ODS towards the cube, the exchange rate is reversed (sign), which implies that the values of the ratios during the conversion with the function module " CONVERT_TO_LOCAL_CURRENCY" are false.
How could I resolve this problem?

Thank you for your answer but that still not works: Give erroneous data is corrected but the data which are not erroneous become erroneous.
I think that if I manage to return the field "Exchange misses" (0EXCHG_RATE) nonmodifiable by the DELTA mode, I cross that will resolve the problem.
With what is used following fields in the definition of the ODS, and it is what impacts it on the existing data: "Non cumulative value" et "Cumulative value"

Updating records with 0FISCPER as 000

Hi
We have data coming in from source system with fiscper as 2006000, 2007000.
Actually this is the balance carried forward into the new year from the previous year.
But when I try to convert 0FISCPER into 0CALMONTH using a routine, it doesnt allow me to do so throwing up an error which says that month cannot be 00.
Is there any way tht I can get these records in my cube. I cannot change these records to month 01 or 12 due to business requirements.
Can I just leave the 0CALMONTH field blank whenever the 0FISCPER has 2006000 or 2007000.
Is it possible that only 0CALYEAR field gets updated for these records , leaving 0CALMONTH as blank.
If so, how ?

ashok - 0CALMONTH does not permit any values other than 1-12.
Teja - we dont want to skip that record. wht I want is just to leave the 0CALMONTH field blank or null for these records while populating all other fields. Your code would skip that whole package which I dont want to do.

here is my requirement:
During Activity create/Edit upon choosing seller phase i bring questions based on update rules of q1 q2 and q3 from complex table.
Possible answers are also fetched from complex table based on selection of phase for each question. I have a update rules for answers to check the object collection(E) and determine if this phase exist or not, If exist previously selected Answers will bulled from collection for the corresponding question if not it has to empty.
All rule are working with out any problem.
Issue.
During create or edit if some one chooses phase P1 and answers for the questions and with out saving if they change phase then answers which are been selected earlier still exist.
This is happening in IPAD but not in ATE. I have checked the log for rules all the rules are returning values as expected.
So i tried the below options to test
1) with special value option in field level
2) I created a dummy field with update rule with value test. On creation i have modified the dummy field value X then changed the phase the value is not getting updated as per update rule.
Is it the real behavior of update rule? Is there any work around for this problem

So based on your comments above I have the workarounds I gave you.
1) A button that refreshes "resets" to make the screen repaint (in essence a button that just re-navigates to the same screen will make all the system reset) if you just want one screen.
2)Or the multiple screen approach. Let phase 1 be in one screen and the other questions and answers on others.
Not sure if you can just do 1 screen with multi-tiles - If this is better approach where the phase selection is on 1 tile (top tile) and the questions and answers are on a different tile (bottom tile).
The trick is to make the screen repaint. As long as you present to the customers a flawless flow you will be okay. The one that you don't want to happen is when your rules are buggy then it may be just a good idea to sell a more controlled flow that works than debugging what went down the wrong during UAT (User Acceptance Test).

Update Rule Modification

         Before two months, I created (Dev box) Update rule (with many ABAP coding) in my InfoCube and it was working fine till 2 pm. When I tried to upload data at 4 pm., I found that my update rules are changed and it shows as under
         Last Changed by : "SAP"
         Date : "03/25/2004"
         Time : "11:59:17"
         Responsible : "SAP"
         I like to know how can I find who has changed my update rule or may be someone by mistake activated business content.
         Is there any system table or Tcode is available that shows us who has changed/activated update rule.

       I checked in that table and it is also showing user ID as "SAP". My question is in which circumstances user ID "SAP" can be shown????.

Getting error while activatinb update rule 2LIS_02_SCL

I have activated and replicated datasources for PP and activated the 0PUR_C01 infocube now I am activating the update rule 2LIS_02_SCL but while activating the update rule iam getting error message
"Object UPDR CD2NYEJKIIFCCFA9FW1OQRONE could not be found"
which is nothing but the technical name of 2LIS_02_SCL. in GROUPING TAB I have selected " only necessary objects" option.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated can you please suggest me how I can troubleshoot this.

Don't worry about the error message.
RSA1-> Business content-> here select the update rules from 2LIS_02_SCL to cube 0PUR_C01 and with only necessary objects option-> Install update rules with applicable routines. Then refresh RSA1 and check for update rules. If still you don't get update rules, please let me know

There are 6 KF in 0SD_C03 infocube which comes from update rules with routines e.g. "Subtotal 1 from Pricing Procedure in Statistics Currency". I cannot understand what the routine brings. anyone have an idea?

Is the question what are the subttoal 1-6 or what does the routine do?
Sub totals 1-6 are user defined fields in the SD pricing block - if the SD consultants haven't already used them for their purposes it is a good idea to use them to denote surcharges etc that you want in BW (without having to use the condition extractors or user exits to get the sales order breakdown)
What does the routine do?
Exchange rate conversion then multiple by -1 if it is a credit note (or similar)

Update Rules gets inactive automatically

After the transport of the Update rules with the related objects to the not modifiable system, everything works fine for some time. But after sometime many update rules gets inactive automatically. We hav'nt changed the Info provider or transported any thing.
We are in BI 7.0.Can any one help me to analyse this issue.

This problem may ocurs due to dependecies on the objects that you transported, any way you can activate them using the below Program,
Go to SE38
Run the program : RSAU_UPDR_REACTIVATE_ALL
Give the necessary details and execute the Program.

Update rules not active

Actually i installed the 0CDS_C01 AND ,0CDS_C02( Sales Scheduling agreement Processing).when i'm activating the update rules its giving error message like
"IC=0CDS_C02 IS=80CDS_DS07 error when checking the update rules".
whts reason for this? its urgent...

so go to object type and select the update rule with before collection and then
activate the same

Data load failing in update rules

Please provide assistance to solve this error - a full data load into an InfoCube is failing in the update rules with the error ABORT was set in the customer routine 9998".

Hi Keith,
You need to check the start routine in the update rules...this is what the message is referring to. You can also debug the update rules if you like...in the debugger screen search for 9998 to get to the Start Routine code.

Actually update rules comes in BIW 3.5 now this concept has been removed from BI7
DEFN:Update rules specify how the data (key figures, time characteristics, characteristics) is updated to data targets from the communication structure of an InfoSource. You are therefore connecting an InfoSource with a data target
the data From infosource(Infosource means collection of information that logically belongs together gathered in to single unit) to target is sent through this update rules
An update rule must be specified for each key figure and the corresponding characteristics of the InfoCube. For an ODS Object, it must be specified for the data and key fields, and for an InfoObject it must be specified for the attribute and key fields
the real senarrio example means ,
suppose ur getting data of quantity(XYZ,ABC) sold for this year ,from flatfile and from SAP source system .. in the final report u want to see the overall sales of that quantity the data of both source system can be combined infosource , in the report if u want to see only XYZ data then the target has to have data of XYZ only but in the infosource both XYZ and ABC data both are avaliable ..
u can avoid the data of ABC in update rules (by writing program) this is one senario the use of pdate rules

Hi,
Your infosource should have the infoobject 0RECORDMODE, it is mandatory infoobject, if you are creating an update rule from the infosource. This infoobject will give you before after image. So Solution is you can include the the 0recordmode directly in the communication structure of the infosource and leave it umapped, and then create and update rule with it.

I recently updated to ios 5.1 but nothing has been done to rectify the audio app problems ie lyrics no longer shown,
I am extremely disappointed and angrywith those responsible for the iOS 5 update, in regard to the way it hasaffected the music app in my iPad.
I also own an iPhone 4, am an avid Apple fan, and up until now have beenextremely pleased with the devices, and have sung their praises to friends andassociates.
I am a professional musician, and purchased an iPad primarily to use with theperformance of my music.
The changes made to the music app affected my performances over the weekendextremely adversely – limiting my repertoire and causing confusion and delays.
I have spent many hours talking withApple helpline assistants (who, incidentally have been very good and have triedto help), and I have also spent a lot of time on this letter.
I greatly regret updating to iOS 5.
There are two major problems with the music app.
1. Lyrics no longer displayed
2. Layout, and appearance and consequently performance have seriouslyregressed.
I have a repertoire of around 500 song backing tracks, organised into about 20playlists, half of which featured lyrics / chords that I have spent monthsrecently entering into iTunes so that they could be used on my iPad.
These were working fine up until the update - now they are gone.
Previously, the app featured large icons for playlist, artists, songs etc. atbottom of page: Now there are small, grey, indistinct barely legible buttons.
Previously, when playlist icon was selected - all the playlists were listedclearly in order on the left hand side in black on white (as in iTunes).
Now they are scattered across the whole page in large squares (displayingnothing if there is no album art).
The identifying wording below eachsquare is now small, grey, indistinct & barely legible.
Previously, when a playlist was selected - the songs were displayed in adescending list in black & white: now they appear as small, grey indistinct & barely legible.
Previously, when a song was selected - it appeared filling the page, and withaudio controls clearly positioned at top of screen. One tap would bring uplyrics.
Now audio controls appear at top once again small, grey, indistinct &barely legible.
A small square representsalbum art which if tapped fills page. A further tap fails to bring up lyrics.
