Mistakenly Deleted Contactsfrom PC and Phone
Please help.
I deleted the e-mail addresses from my phone after the synchronisation has taken place as I did not want to have duplicate e-mail addresses on my phone and did the same for my e-mail on the pc.
Then I synchronised my phone again and a message came up to the effect of..."PC suite has detedted 136 contacts form my phone thats is not on my e-mail list and 59 contacts from my e-mail that is not on my phone.
Then it gave me the option of "ynchronising again" or "delete the contacts" or stop synchronising..." I then chose delete the contacts as I did not wanted the duplicates again but then it just deleted everything. Needless to say, I never bcked up my phone on PC suite. Is there a way of retrieving my lost data. Please help....
I now have no contacts.
Use Google and you will be able to clear it, you'll start with putting it in DFU mode. You can't get any support here.

If you've been making backups to icloud, then you should perform a restore to the ipad, unless you had the data on a computer, in which case you could try to restore the calendar file from a backup.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your phone. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your phone is new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup. -

A better way might be
Settings > Facebook > Contacts > turn off.
There are other Facebook settings you might want to leave on. But I also prefer to turn off Calendar there as well to keep every Facebook friends birthday from clogging up my calendar app. -
Cleaning up email, text, and phone
Just moved from a BlackBerry to Droid Razr Maxx and don't intuitively find a way to Delete All for email, text, and phone lists. Any advice? Thank you.
Congratulations on the upgrade to your new Razr Maxx.
The OS with an Android is considerably different than the OS for the Blackberry.
With that being said, there isn't a way to delete email, texts and phone calls all in one swoop.
To delete multiple emails, you can go to the email icon, select Menu, Select all.
To delete multiple text messages you can go to the Messages, long press on the message conversations you want to delete and they will turn blue. In the upper right hand corner you will see a trash can and it will delete the selected messages when pressed.
To clear call logs, go to the the Phone icon, press menu and Clear List.

Don't understand your problem... Contacts sync with a compatible address book or cloud service. Contact records can contain names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, notes, or any combination of these. If you have records you don't want in your address book that you don't want in your contacts, then segregate them into groups in your address book and only sync the group(s) you want. If you don't want them there at all, then delete them.

I currently have an iPhone 5, 16gb. My storage is almost full on my phone. There are only 80 mg available. I am new to icloud and also have always had trouble navigating around iTunes. (Even after endlessly reading through support and help topics as well as calling) My concern is about Not Losing any of my photos if I delete them from my phone. I have to delete a large portion of my camera roll as well as the Album Folders I have created. Although it would be great if there was a way to just keep my albums still. I have already backed them up to an external hard-drive, my computer and a geek stick. I'm not trying to be too paranoid about these photos, but, they are all of my 3 children. There are over 4000 pictures stored on my phone. Some photos go back as far as 2009. Can you offer any information about backing up my Camera Roll, not just "Photo Stream", and albums I've created On my phone? I read that it's good to back photos up on both iTunes as well as icloud. I even purchased extra icloud storage to back them all up. I do regularly back up/sync, my phone to my computers. However, I cannot even locate where they are stored on iTunes, let alone look at them. And as far as my iCloud backup, it only stores the new pictures from "Photo Stream". Please offer any advice you may have. I do not use up a lot of storage on my phone other than Photos and Contacts (it's a work phone). I would definitely be able to sleep better knowing my children can one day see these pictures of themselves. I appreciate your time. Thank you,
First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.

Blackberry 8310 Curve randomly deletes text/sms messages and phone logs
Why does this keep happening to me?
There are times that my phone goes over a week without it happening and then there are times like today it has happened three times.
I will have maybe 5 ot 6 text messages in my inbox and maybe 2 or 3 emails and I get a phone call and POOF the text messages and phone logs are gone!
I have repeatedly lost important text messages and numbers from my call log.
The tech support excuse for it is that I have too many messages in my inbox which causes it, but 6 sms messages and 3 emails is too much?
I have tried everything (updating the desktop software, updating all of the settings NOT to delete messages until i delete them, hard booting my phone once a day, etc..) and it still does it.
This also used to happen with my Blackberry Pearl.
If I can't get it resolved, I will just switch to the iPhone. I can deal with the randomly dropped calls, but constantly loosing my call logs and text messages is BEYOND frustrating and Blackberry tech support has been no help!.

You have low free memory left on your device.
Do you have a lot of third party applications on your BB weather, icall,bbalerts etc?
I do not know your experience level, so if you know this I'm sorry but please read and let me
know if this applies.
Most people close the applications by pressing the escape or red key. This does not close the applications.
Each application has a CLOSE option. For instance if you are in the calendar hit the menu key (spotted key) and scroll down to the bottom CLOSE is listed. Go through each application and press close. Go into the browser press menu and options select cache operations clear all categories and hit escape it will say cleaning memory.
Go to options - security - memory cleaning - enable it. The BB will now clean memory when idle for 5 minutes.
you will have an icon on you screen for memory cleaning make sure you press it. Make sure you use the CLOSE button each time you are done with an application.

Ive deleted contacts from my contacts list but they still pop up when i go to text and type in the name of a current contact. . How can i delete them off my phones memory for good? iPhone 4S
At the present time, the only way to clear that is to restore the phone as new. Perhaps a future iOS update will give us the option to clear that cache.

Check for 'others' in iTunes against your iPhone.
Restore from a previous backup to reclaim some of it.
Still want more, Restore in iTunes, setup as New. -
Iphone 5 - I am trying to delete message threads and once I do, I go to text someone else and it won't send. HELP? I just don't want those messages on my phone anymore. I have tried to restart my phone but when I do, the "deleted" threads show back up on my phone. I use iOS 7.1.
Hello Makayla,
It sounds like you're deleted message threads keep coming back after you restart the devie. I recommend starting by quitting all the running apps on your phone:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes and then restore it as a new device and verify that it works.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.

I am having a big problem. I am not getting notifications from snapchat and only snapchat. I've made sure every notification setting was on and it just won't work. I have also restored my phone and deleted the app and re-downloaded it multiple times. It just wont give me my notifications. Help please.
Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
Turn off SnapChat.
Go to Settings > Notification Center
Turn off SnapChat.
Restart the device.
Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
Turn on SnapChat.
Go to Settings > Notification Center
Turn on SnapChat.
Test the issue. -
Okay, so this is a little more information on my problem. When i first got my iphone i didnt have a computer of my own. So i synced it to my friends computer under his apple id. well then later down the road i got a mac of my own and was able to sync it to that. well some of my apps (facebook, snapchat, instagram, and google) backed up to his id. Now none of those applications will update if i dont have the password for his apple id. What i would like to accomplish is to delete them from my phone and such completely, or just unattach them from his icloud/apple id so that i can re download them under my own account. at this point everytime i try to delete them from my phone and go into the app store to download them again, it only gives me the option to redownload them from the cloud. i do not want to do this. because that means the app still wont be up to date and it will still be associated with said friends apple id. is there anyone who can guide me through this issue?
In this case if you download it from his account, you will need to deleted and download it again by your account
also delete your backup from iTunes after you delete all the apps/games that you download it from your friend account
so in the next time you try to restore your backup, you will not face the same problem -
how do I make it so that the one computer that has the main itunes account on it be used on other computers, when it comes to backing up phones and not deleting data off of phone that isnt on that computer itunes becasse its all on the one main computer. Baiscally the problem is that one comuter and one account has always been sued for eey persons itunes. Now if we want to be able to backup and use itunes on our own computers fro our iphones and such, how will all he data that is on our phones not be deleted once its plugged into a new computer? Also, is theere a way to get all the stuff on thw current itunes onto each computer, via differtn account name?
option discovered in preferences. Really this and any feature that moves deletes or edits a users data should as far as possible be OFF BY DEFAULT. It shouldn't by default and without the users specific say do this dangerous and unnecessary thing without even letting the user know what it's doing!!! And then cause me a few hours (as i'm new to mac) searching for the option so as to switch it off. If i hadn't noticed the status cage declaring that it was copying files then i might never have twigged that this insane thing was occurring. And if i hadn't of noticed i would have been left maintaining the contents of the folder i copied the files to, the folder which as far as i was informed and so believed was also the location of the music files i was playing. How does Apple justify this 'genius' piece of software non-design? Surely it will hurt no one if this was off by default for new users - overall at least i dare say it would cause a lot less distress in the future for the unsuspecting public at large. All my contact are being copied to my friend's iphone and i also am getting his contacts on my phone,when i delete a contact it also deletes it from his phone,we are sharing the same apple ID. How can i stop our contacts from being shared between us
Everything that you have checked in your icloud settings will be shared between devices using the same Apple ID. If you don't want icloud to share that information, then simply turn off that process under settings > icloud

Hello all!
Before iOS 8, we had two separate photo albums - Photo Stream (for iCloud) and Camera Roll (for photos on your iPhone).
When you took a photo, the photo went into both albums. This was handy, as when i found my memory running low, I could delete photos from my Camera Roll, yet they will still be on my Photo Stream.
However, with the iOS 8 update, apparently they thought this was too confusing for everyone and therefore have merged it all into the collections/moments photo viewer.
So, my question is, is there a way that I can delete photos from my phone without deleting them from my iCloud, seeing as they are merged into one?
Thanks!The easiest way I find to remove a few songs for the nano is to go into Ipod preferences and select "only sync checked songs" and the uncheck songs you don't want.
