Mixing emails and message as in Japan

Hi, im currently in Japan for holidays at my friends and he noticed me his emails appeared directly in the message app on the iphone.
is there anyway to do this in another country?

If you are having issues with being unable to attach a photo from Mail on your iPhone, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPhone -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

Yes, I believe you when you say you can only send messages to other Apple products. The iPad is not a telephone, and therefore, it cannot text message. It can only iMessage, which means it can send and receive messages to/from other Apple products if they are on WiFi or an iMessage capable cellular network.
Email, however, is a whole different category. I don't really think you can only exchange email with other Apple products only. Make sure you have correctly identified the symptoms.

Seperate email and messages.

I was able to seperate my messages from my text messages, but my email and messages are still linked. So when I receive and email it appears in both my email folder and message folder. Is there a way to make emails only appear in the email folder?

I do, though, and I agree with what has been said. Ask to see the phone if you want to know. If texts have been deleted before you look, you do not have to return the phone. You can match what is on the phone with information such as time/number that is available on My Verizon if you must.
For emails, Facebook, Twitter, etc..., though, you will be out of luck. That will only be part of the data, and Verizon only tracks amount of data, not what it has been used for(email, surfing, app updating, etc...)
If your child wants to hide something from you, you are not going to be able to stop it, unless you are ready to stay with them 24/7. Take away the phone, they can still email, IM, Facebook, Twitter from another location which you are not necessarily the account owner, such as a library, coffee shop, etc...
Edit: Sorry, I forgot to also agree that the service is available, just from third party apps, which can copy multiple users when emails, etc... are sent from a phone. Keep in mind, though, that the person in posession of the phone can probably just as easily delete these apps from the phone.

I'm learning to use iCal v.5.0.3 on a Mac Pro (2,1) 2x3 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, running Lion OSX10.7.5.
I need to find or write a script which, when I create a new iCal timed event, will automatically send me an email and give a screen alert 24 hours before - plus on the morning of the appointment, plus 2 hours beforehand. I'm wondering if such a script exists already or can be adapted. I've searched various forums and am unable to find specific simple instructions on how to create such a thing in Applescript or Automator or whatever. So I've really tried to find out on my own.
Can anyone direct me to a set of instructions? This can't be so hard, can it? To clarify, when I create an "event" with a time (an appointment), I want to hit a button which tells iCal to send me these reminders without my having to set multiple reminders in iCal for each of my new "events".
I'd be most grateful for any advice at all.

Doing a shell script to burn a DVD from a folder (for example) is pretty challenging. The reason is that you need to execute the entire script in one shot, because making a burned disk is a 3 part affair with each part of the operation taking time. The problem with executing separate commands is that Applescript can't wait around until a shell command is finished, while a shell script will not proceed to the next command until the previous command is completed.
Burning disk takes these 3 parts:
1) Create an empty diskimage of your desired size
2) Mount the empty and copy your stuff to it
3) Burn and eject
There may be a shortcut by burning an existing folder but you don't say exactly what you're doing. See the hdutil command for more information:

Your post says you have a second generation iPad, so it will not have dictation.
There are third party apps available that might help you.

Please help! Nokia N97 Email and Message Settings ...

I got the Nokia N97 in July on Contract with 02, and it appears its missing quite a few settings but most important are the email settings in the Retreival section.
The only settings its shows me are "Headers Only" i cant seem to retreive anymore than that. I have been looking online and it appears that others who have this phone have the complete settings in Retreival but I dont.
I desperately need to get the full settings is someone able to help me with how i go about resolving this?

yes for native email client off the phone the headers only option is normal. you download a full message upon selection of a particular header. i dont recall it behaving differently at least on my n97. nokia messaging the stand alone app that you can download behaves different and its actually a pretty good app as long as you don't have to pay for it. in some countries you have to pay for it and it has a major downfall, it only stores data on the c memory/phone memory and that is not really an option for me.

i notice the following
i cant attached pictures into an email or onto a text message
I tried selecting a picture from text message and from an email by clicking insert , it doesn't work
I tried by the camera rolls to select them and add them to an email, it doesnt work either

The only solution I've seen that seems to consistently work is the one posted by Brackers28 here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23020591#23020591. This only works if you still have access to your old email account. If you don't, you'll have to have Apple help you reset the password for your old account so you can turn off Find My iPhone.

iOS 7.1.2, huh? It MAY be having some trouble with the iOS 8.x devices and latest iCloud features. Although it meets the minimum system requirements, it does not meet the recommended ones - System requirements for iCloud - Apple Support

PC Sync has just erased all my emails and messages

And my email account details, I have a back up from a month ago..... What a load of sh*te this product is, I am so annoyed

This certainly isn't a solution, but I did discover that all my Gmail emails are still on Google's servers, and retrivable by clicking on the "All Mail" label on the left side of the Gmail interface. I didn't have that kind of luck with my Yahoo! emails.
Does BlackBerry have some sort of ticketing system where we can raise this as a bug? It's another PR disaster waiting to happen. Email is something BlackBerry needs to get right, all the time.
