ML Automatically sorts files by name when moving from one folder to another.

Hello, i usually used to move a bunch of files like images or mp3s from one folder to another and in Lion, when moving like 20+ files to another folder, they was being placed where you clicked.
Seems that in ML when i move the same amount of same files, rather than placing them at the cursor, it just moves them and sorts by name. How to avoid this?

Inherit metadata not working when content is moved from one folder to another

I have a unique situation for which i would like to know if there is any solution.
We have WebCenter Content 11.1.1.8.0 installed with Framework folders, Accounts and RoleEntityACL (Access Control List-ACL) enabled.
We are not using Accounts, but are using ACL since we want the end users to be able to modify the content access permissions.
Now as per documentation - Managing Content Repositories section 11.2.3.2.1 What You Should Know About Item Level Security
The following occurs in Oracle Content Server on setting custom permissions for a file or folder from the Item Level Security dialog:
The account is changed to account WCILS/original_account.
All users are by default granted RWDA on account WCILS. Changing the account to WCILS/original_account ensures that only the custom permissions determine the security on the content.
The ACL content metadata fields, xClbraUserList and xClbraRoleList are updated with the custom permissions.
The content metadata field, xInhibitUpdate is set to true, to prevent ILS from overwriting an item's own custom security with a parent folder's custom permissions.
Now when i am copying or moving any item from one folder to another folder, it does not inherits the Roles Access Control Lists, User Access Lists of the destination folder in which i am copy the content. It does not inherit the other metadata values like comments and a few more custom metadata value.
I understand that this is due to the xInhibitUpdate metadata field, mentioned above.
Is there any way to override the xIhibitUpdate metadata field and set it to false?
Does anyone know what event is fired when we perform the copy or move of a content item?

Itunes duplication of songs when moved from one computer to another.

I moved all my music and itunes from one computer to another. I now have most of my artist that have duplicate songs and sometimes three copies of the same song for some reason. Some artist it didn't affect at all but that is a minority. How can I clean this up without going through every line in my folder and deleting the copies? I have like 25K songs. I hope someone can help.

Project files location when moving from one PC to another

Hi - I hope this isn't t
oo silly a question but I have started a project at one location and I am now going to our overseas office for a month and will need to
work on the project on another PC while I am there. I am a little confused as to where I look to put all the files I need on
to a USB stick so I can load them over in the US office. Where do the video files,titles and any stills get stored for a project?

Thanks for the mention of the Project Archiver. As I normally set up Projects on externals, in anticipation of migrating them between my computers, I had just not thought to mention that. The OP will benefit from that tip!
One thing for the OP to remember is that many systems will not boot properly, if a thumbdrive is attached first. Many USB devices get in the way, if plugged in and turned on, prior to boot up. My Epson printer MUST be turned OFF, or my laptop will not boot. Many have had the same thing happen with most thumbdrives too.

When moving from one block to another with mouse, information is being lost

I have a program with 2 blocks (B1 and B2). These blocks are NOT related to database tables.
Let's suppose I'm filling a field at B2 block, and after changing this field's value, I keep cursor stopped at it. If I use mouse to move to B1 block, information just changed at the field of B2 block is lost.
How can I solve this?

All was going well, but disaster has struck! When I came to step 7/8 Iselected the iTunes library in the iTunes folder and it loaded - but it was not the current one. I recognised the items in it, but there were just a few hundred, whereas my current collection amounts to over 6000 'songs' as iTunes calls them. And in fact a majority of the music is no longer on my C:\ or F:\drives.
I closed ITunes down and decided to compare by looking at my original iTunes folder (I had of course followed your instructions and had up to now been working with the "new iTunes" folder). As I repeated steps 7/8 I saw a message on the screen about "updating" - and imagine my horror - Iwas presented again with the OLD list.
So I've really screwed up and I don't know how to access my up-to-date collection at all. You'll see on the screenshot below that 4 files were created or modified within a few minutes of each other on 8th June when I was doingthis work. I've looked at the XML file and it appears to correspond to the listof music I saw in iTunes, and it's the same content as the XML file of 1/1/09.
My only hope is that the file (there is only one) inside the folder "Previous iTunes libraries" : iTunes Library 2011-06-08.itl is the listing of my current 6000+ songs and can be resurrected so that I can have another go at what I was trying to do in the first place. But I don't want to do anything more - out of fear! - before asking your advice.

When moving from one tab to another tab data from the page is removed

Hi,
This issue happens only in 12.2.2 instance not reproducible form jdeveloper or in any 12.1.3 instance.
Our page will be called form Endeca . Now based on the data we will show details on the OA page.
Our page has multiple tabs when this page is opened everything is shown properly.
Now once we try to move to other tab everything is removed. we are not able to see any thing.
In any 12.1.3 instance or from jdeveloper all the data is visible in all the tabs and we can easily navigate to any tab.
Any pointer will help this is a very urgent issue.

Net Price of PO increases when moving from one tab to another

Hi,
I have this issue where in a Service PO was created. Then as the user clicks on the tabs in item detail, the net price increases. I checked the vendors, parment terms and all of the currency settings and everything seems ok.
What seems to be the problem here?

If you are moving files in two libraries in different sites, then the error will occur and it is by design that there are limitations on the DAV move commands that the DAV client is respecting.

If you are moving files in the same library, I recommend you to use Wireshark to reveal the error message and enable IIS
Trace Logging for Failed Requests to examine the IIS log file for troubleshooting.

To narrow down the issue scope, I recommend you to test with another library and see if the copy in explorer can work.

Moving files from one folder to another caused freeze

I now have a list of files stuck in the center of my screen.
I'm sure a reboot will fix this (I hope!) but I thought it was a bug worth reporting.
All I did was move a copy a collection of files from one folder to another folder. It made the "move" sound, and the files have been copied, but something clearly went wrong

Have java.io.File objects pointing to the three folders. Get the list of all the files in the folder. Start a loop and check if the filename ends with Data.dat. If it is so then copy file to the final folder.
To Copy file you can use any of the two approaches.
1. You can read that file as byte stream (java.io.FileInputStream) and write it to the other folder as bytes (java.io.FileOutputStream).
2. You can use shell commands to do this. (java.lang.Runtime.exe() method)

Is there a way to periodically, automatically, move mail from one folder to another?
For example, I'd like to move mail from one of my IMAP/Archives folders to my MyMac/Archive folder and I'd like this to happen without intervention.

I'll try to be more specific.
When I'm done with an email, I archive it.
Because I have multiple email accounts, this results in emails in multiple Archive folders (one per account).
I'd like to have these automatically all moved into one (on my Mac).

I am running a 3-action droplet automatically using windows task scheduler. Here are the 3 steps:
1.    Batch file to move files from hot folder to processing folder
2.    Run IPP (dr brown's image processor pro) using preloaded settings to make several sizes copies of the files.
3.    Bat file to move the files from processing folder to archive folder.
The problem I am observing is that Step 1 works and IPP begins to run. It only processes the first few images, and then moves on to the 3rd step where the bat file is ran to move all files from processing folder to archive folder.   The trouble is, only a few images were processes (about 10 or so), yet all of the images get moved to the archive without being processed. Is there a way to make sure that step 2 (IPP) doesn’t begin until all files have successfully been moved from the hot folder to the processing folder? IPP starts right away and files are still being transferred to the processing folder.
Does anyone have a script that will move files from one folder to another?

It may be a simple statement like app.close(); I don't know javascript and only hack Photoshop script mostly by looking at others code. app.close(); is a guess on my part. Let me try it. Drag the files, or press Option when pasting them; this accesses the Move To function.

HT1349 I have just moved from one pc to another. I had used 5 computers to attach to itunes. I went in and disabled all 5 of my accounts but cant get the new computer to give me a prompt to authorize this computer. Any ideas?

I have just moved from one PC to another. They are windows pc's not macintosh. When i installed itunes on the new computer it stated that I already had 5 devices authrorized for this account. I did a little reading and went in and deathorized all 5 PC from the account as I am sure it was a couple pcs ago and a few iphones. When I try and go in and authorize an account I cant see anywhere where there is a prompt to authorize the new PC. I go into store and all it says is that there are no devices associated to this account. What I would like to do is associate my new PC and my iphone to this account and hopefully restore from the cloud all of my music and programs.
Any idea what I am doing wrong here or how I can resolve this. Thanks in advance.

I suddenly can't move files from one folder to another in my FlashHelp project.

I have RH8 (8.02). I have been working on this project for a couple of years now.
What changed? I had imported a Word document and then removed the document and the folder it created from the Project Manager. Now I cannot move any of my files from one folder to another in the Project Manager pod. I susptected a corrupt CPD file so I closed the project, deleted the CPD file. Next I opened Robo from Programes (I never open from the .xpj file), went to Tools>Options and deleted the pinned most recently used project. Select Open, and locate/open the xpj file. I've also re-generated the output (no errors) and completed all these steps again. Of course Robo only goes haywire on me right before I have to publish for our new software release.

From what I'm seeing my own guess here is that RoboHelp is still believing that the content belongs to word.
I might suggest the following steps.
Open Winows Explorer and make copies of the HTML files involved. Then from RoboHelp, delete or remove the content. Then use the Import function to add the desired HTML files back into the project into the desired folder.
My thought is that by taking these steps you will have effectively disassociated Word and the topics should now be independent topics that RoboHelp should allow you to manage as you wish.
