MM and MRP settings

Evening All,
I have encountered some problems with MRP lately, so please look through the settings to pick holes in it.
MM (MRP1):
MRP Type: VB
Reorder Point: 5
Lot Size: ZB (Maximum stock level after covering requirement var.1).
Maximum stock level: 20
MRP:
NETCH
1-3-1-3 2
It all started to fail when I've changed MRP type from PD to VB, previously it would normally generate PR up to max level.
When I set the ROP I just can't get any planned orders even though my stock level is now below zero (no exlusions shown).
It would be much appreciated if you could find a soultion.

There are negative quantities at the end. No separate segments have been made, storage and reservation is anonymous (index is an element that is being used within other BOMs).

Lot-Size ZB is essential - it works like HB, but includes future requirements as well.
For instance:
Stock on hand: 5
Max stock level: 20
And if there comes a requirement for 30 units = > With HB lot-size procedure system will generate order for 30 units only, so we would end up with a zero stock at the end. With ZB Lot-Size it will generate 45 units (so after requirement is fulfilled we will end up with a maximum stock).

does MRP consider the centrally agreed contracts during its run (specifically as plants are not assigned in the centrally agreed contract).

MD04 Transaction and MRP related queries

Hello All,
i have some specific questions regarding MD04 and MRP Run
1. In MD04 for few raw material i am getting -ve available quantities , i am not getting why MRP didn"t run for the same before available qty become negative , we have a batch job schedule for MRP run .
what all the possibilites of not running the MRP ,
We don't have reorder level planning ! MRP type`is standard one PD .
2. For some material we are not able to create a planned order, settings in Material Master MRP view is fine as we have another material with same settings are working , i am running the MRP through MD41 Transaction code >
Forecasting is done through MD61/62 active indicator ticked >
what else could be the reason .
Secondly one silly question does MRP take into consideration available stock during run , i mean if i run the MRP for a material with Tcode MD41 , will MRP create Planned orders , even if enough stock is available >

Look for the MRP list as well (MD05), not only the Stock/Requirements List (MD04).
You can see there the date and time of the last MRP run, and if there was a termination that did not allow the proper run.
There may be a number of reasons why a material was not included in the MRP run, like what type of run (e.g. regenerative or net change), etc.

Sub contract MRP Settings

Can any one guide me , how to do MRP settings for subcontract Proces.We want the system to generate MRP for the subcontract Process, We need B & C Material to Make A. A is a finished goods , B is going to Produce and ship to subcontract Vendor and C will be Procured and directly shipped to Subcontract Vendor . We are going to get back A as a finished Goods. Can any one please tell me what will be the MRP Settings required to create a Sub contract Purchase Requisition ?

Hi,
For material B, it is a inhouse production. Set E - inhouse production in MRP2 view.
For material C, it is a External procurement - F, assign in MRP2 view. For material C, maintain delivery place at Subcontract place in MIGO screen, so that material directly dispatch to subcontract place.
For material A, external procurement - F, maintain in MRP2 view. Maintain BOM for material A.
When BOM explodes, P.R will create for material A.
Send material B by ME2O 541 mvt.
And receive material A by MIGO 101 mvt.

How i can i define MRP for a final product(X) that have a dependent requirements BOM , and whose components are X,Y,Z. Let say X,Y are externally procured, Y is internal procurement.
Now my question is
1)How to run MRP for a final product and what are all the settings required in MRP1,2 ,3,4 in material master and spro
2) what are MRP settings required for the final product(X) and internal procured(Y), Externally procured (X,Y).
3)what is the MRP Procedure X Means.

The settings for the Finished goods are dependent on the Planning strategy you are going to adopt. For example for MTO strategy:
MRP Type = PD
Lot Size key = EX
MRP Controller = Mandatory entry
Procurement type = E (For inhouse production)
Strategy grou p = 20.
The above are the bare minimum settings required.
Now for the compoennets. The MRP type could be PD or VB based on whether it is bsed on requirements or consumption.
Procurement type X means both internal and external procurement is possible.
The MRP type X refers to only BoM explosion in the SAP system. The planning is done in an external system.
That is a planned order is created with prroc type X. Depending on the situation the MRp controller could either convert it to PR or Pro order.
Remember if the subassembly is always going to be proceured externally then it makes sense to set the proc type to F. Similarly for Inhouse as E. If it could be either way then it would be X.
The planning stragty for components would be as per higher level assembly unless otherwise it is specified.

[865PE/G Neo2 Series] Memory timings and power settings anyone?

I'm not very good with computers, so I've just played around with the timings on my memory, but have not found one stable setting as of yet.
The memory is brand new and I've tested it for errors on my brothers computer and there's nothing wrong there.
Intensive harddrive usage, dvd playing and intense downloading while listening to music are sure ways to crash my system. "..........Not less or equal" is the most common error message, but there are
many many more.
Oh, maybe I should point out that overheating's not an issue, cause I've good fans and run my computer without sidepanels.
I also like to say that I have the first generation of p4 with ht and 533fsb.
I'm sure there's something I forgot to mention but here below I'll paste the system summary that Sandra gave me.
Would be forever grateful if someone could help me out with the memory timings and power settings for my board. Setting it to "auto by spd" gives me a very unstable system, so no avail there.
I'm running the mem at 2.70 and sometimes at 2.65, since these two settings seem to be the ones with least crashes.
The Memory installed are 4*512mb ,kingston 512 kvr333x64c25 pc2700
The PSU is a Tagan "TG480-u01" 480w

Danny: 1. Yes, I've put my memory in my brothers computer, and ran memtest there, and it came out ok, but on mine it crashes almost instantly.
2. Yea, I have 2 fans blowing into the case and one out, so airflow is good, cpu is also cool and seems to be happy ;-)

No, nothing will prevent the computer from going to sleep when you close its display except third-party hacks that are designed to do exactly that. I strongly advise against using any of those, as they may interfere with successful entry into clamshell mode (and they carry other downside risks as well). Just wait until the computer is asleep (with its sleep light pulsing), then press any key on the keyboard. It sounds as though your setup is working as it's designed to do.

You can change the account shortname to whatever you wish to use.
As you can see from my example above. Once you click on the Create User button a new account will be created.
She will need to get her own Apple ID setup so when she starts with iTunes she can open her own iTunes account unless you both want to share the use of the same Apple ID. This can create a bit of confusion if you have your own iPads or iPhones or iPods. As you have discovered it's pretty much one iDevice with one Apple ID.

Did you try booting off your Install disk holding the c key down. From here you can get to the drop down menu just a few clicks in (you are not going to install) and run the Disk Utility>Repair Disk. See if it will let you do this.

Hi,
You will get the requisition no. from EKKO (provided PO has been created otherwise you won't get any record). Find out PO & item no. for the requisition item. Then you can check EKBE table whether GR has been posted or not. If GR has not been posted then there won't be entry in EKBE for that PO & item.

How Do I Change an Animated Gif's Iteration and Loop Settings? (Pshop/Image Ready 7.0)

Background to Issue (NOT a PPT or Windows issue even though It will seem like that at first but read on...): I have to make Animated GIFS to be inserted into Powerpoint. I work on a Mac but the PPT presentation will be shown on PCs (non-negotiable, since I can't ask hundreds of sales reps who will be using this to install an outdated version of PPT). I already learned that I need to insert the Gifs while working on a PC or else it won't work). Fair enough- I can put it together on a PC, again not the issue. BUT, when I do THAT, the gifs still wn't animate unless I am in PPT 2002. Fair enough (Microsif going backwards not a surprise) So it won't work in PPT 2003 which is what the users will all have. But I need to get the presentation to them asap! I got a bit further in researching and found out that the solution is that I need to set my "Loop Flag" and "Iteration Settings" appropriately. BUT I am trying to find out if one can do this already somehow in Mac Photoshop 7.0 or Mac Image Ready 7.0, where I made the gif and would prefer to keep making my gifs. Maybe I need to upgrade Image Ready or Pshop to CS? SO THE FINAL QUESTION IS: Is there another way to manual do this without this PC Plug-in?
NOTE: Yes, I know how how to set the loop to "once" or "forever" in Image Ready when I make my Gifs but apparently I need to do this somewhere else...where the iteration setting lives too?

There is an ImageAnimator so you may not need to use byte array instead.

I got the same error as I tried to build my application, the reason was the string I set for the 'Build specification name' property of my build.
I changed from '3DC - Dlog Data Compacter ' to '3DC' and it worked afterwards..quite strange behaviour..
