MM Catchup

Dear Gurus,
I'm undergoing to do the MM Catch up ,example from November 2008 till September 2009.Let say we do the PR/PO/GR/LIV for Nov 2008 and at the same time we key in the PR for the December 2008 till September 2009 without close/open MM period.is it possible and not disturb the accounting side.If we release the PR and do the PO also can or NOT.We using PR for PS(CJ20N) and MM (ME51N).I'm knows that if we need to do the GR the date is very important,means need to open or closing the MM period.
If the LIV for November is running fine,we now can close /open the MM period for 11/12 2008.its easily to do the catch up because we already key in the PR for December 2008.Is it possible to proceed with this idea without a problem in the future...
Summary :
MM Period Open ( 10/11 2008) -> Key in PR December2008 till Sept 2009 ->finish LIV Nov 2008->open MM Period ( 11/12 2008)-> PO Dec 2008->GR Dec 2008->LIV Dec 2008

Always post in the current month, with the exception of your accounts department doing month-end. You accounts department should have reconciled and closed previous periods, it is near impossible to got back a few months, post and then try to reconcile.
If you are talking about only creating purchase requisitions and purchase order, then yes you can use dates in the past, but this is not effected by which fiscal period is open. The fiscal period only effects actual posting transactions.
Post in the current month that way it reflects what you actually did.

ITV Catchup TV picture too big

We have two laptops – the first one is an HP and works OK in Firefox for all TV Channels
The second one – an Advent Verona produces the following problem
ITV and Catchup TV viewed in Firefox - the picture is about 4 times too big
BBCi, 4OD and Demand 5 all OK in Firefox with this Advent
ITV and Catchup TV - viewed in Opera - picture OK – size and speed OK
So it seems to be the result of the – Advent laptop - plus Firefox - plus ITV and Catchup TV

I will check out Photoshop Elements 6.0, but I have solved my problem. If, after Sharing a iPhoto 16:9 slideshow with iDVD, opening a new iDVD 16:9 file, creating a slide show, and under media/movies, drag the .mov file to the left, and be sure to select, "scale slide to safe TV area," the resulting disc will play on our 16:9 and show the entire contents of each image. The picture does not fill the TV screen, small black bars all around the picture, but at least all of the image shows. I can live with the black bars. One thing, maybe THE thing, I was doing wrong was I was making a movie in iDVD and not a slide show.
Do you see much difference in the output of FotoMagico2 (FM) during playback on a TV as compared to iDVD? If so, how do you create your .dv files; 16:9 Widescreen, 720p, or 1080p? At the moment, FM cannot work from .mov files, and will not captures iPhoto image captions. This means you have to create a title for each image in FM. Also, unless there is a global way of doing it, you have to zoom each image down inside the dotted line box if you want the entire image to show on your TV. The image does fill the screen, however. I am still comparing.

Catchup not working

Since moving to high-speed fiber (new router and fiber modem) Catchup stalls whenever any provider (eg BBC, ITV, Sky or whatever) is highlighted. i.e. if you then select that provider NOTHING happens for at least a minute followed by he message "Program information is not available right now please try again later". We use a wifi connection to the router (using a SKY wifi box) which is showing as CONNECTED on the Sky Network tab with "Connection to router OK, Connection to On Demand OK together with DHCP on, correct router name and exclellent signal strength". We do use multiroom and have just tried catchup on the other Sky+ box which is also connected via wifi and on selecting Catchup all I got was the Catchup tab with NO chnanel providers at all. I have sometimes seen this on my Sky\+ box as well. Again all network connections were showing tghe correct information.. We have tried powering off both Sky+ box and router and manually re-entering router p/w but cannot get round this problem. I have now tried a direct (cable) connection between the Sky+ Box and the router and this works. So my question is why do I have the problem with wifi when I am using the Sky wifi connector and the Sky+ box shows everyting is connected correctly? We have no problems with any other devices connected over wifi to the router (laptops, tablets, mobiles etc.) We have the same problem with our second Sky+ box.

I have exactly the same problem with Catchup not working with a new fiber router (Plusnet). Works fine if Sky+ box is connected direct to router but not via Sky's wifi box. With previous Plusnet broadband router Catchcup worked fine. Plusnet says problem is with Sky's wifi box, Sky appears to be saying nothing. All my other wifi devices work fine with the new router except for Sky's wifi box. As I am now paying £1000 p.a. for my Sky service I am going to cancel and use alternative providers. This Catchup problem was the last straw and I have no intention of paying Sky premium phone call rates to discuss this with them.

I configure Timesten Active Stand by two node (test1 and test2) Return TwoSafe, with Cache Group Type: Asynchronous Writethrough global (Dynamic). That okie.
But when i using App (connect vi mode Client/Server) update to table that cache, duration time update i run command ((in node test2 - Standby)):

But after that the IMDB in test1 can't connect and had error: 8110: Connection not permitted. This store may require Master Catchup
I test other schema, don't update to table cache and change role two server by run command:

Show after that IMDB in test1 can connect and is Standby DB but have'nt grid and can't attach grid. I must detach grid in node test2 (is active) and attach grid in two node again.

Hi,
The main issue here is that a TimesTen A/S pair must be managed as a single entity. This means co-ordinating state changes at both nodes and making sure they are done correctly according to the procedures documented in the Timestne Replication Guide (which gives detailed procedures for failover, controlled switchover etc.).
Upgrading the standby (test2) to an active (which is what you are doing) should only be done when the current active has failed. In your case the current active (test1) has not actually failed - it is still alive and when the old standby (test2) switches to become an active you have a 'dual active' situation which is bad. TimesTen defends against this by blocking access to the old active until it has been properly recovered as the new standby. The exact symptoms that you see at the old active may differ depending on whether you are using return twosafe or asynchronous replication and whether there was any workload (and hence any in progress tranbsactions) running at the time you execute these commands.
I would strongly recommend that you studythe relevant sections in the TimesTen Replication Guide in order to understand the necessaqry sequence of operations needed for (a) a failover when the active has actually failed and (b) a controlled switchover when the active is still alive but you just want to reverse the active/standby roles. They are both more complex and involve more steps than your test scenario. I would strongly recommend use of Oracle Clusterware to manage all this automatically (see the Replication Guide);it results in a much simpler and more robust solution.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
If this doesn't work backup and restore your iPad using iTunes. Something must have been corrupted in your update process.

Cant watch on catchup sony movie channel and true movies on skygo why

There are a lot of channels that are on Sky TV but that are not available on Sky go. I can only assume that it is because there is no agreement in place between Sky and the channel to include them on Sky Go.

Can i watch itv catchup through my apple tv?

I have just brought an apple tv and wondered if i could watch catchup tv using my macbook pro or whether I need to sign up to netflix or some other provider? I also have an iphone 4s so not sure whether this might be of use?

You can't watch iTV catch up directly on the Apple TV or using mirroring from the phone. I'm not really sure about from the Mac, but first it would need to be able to mirror to try.
AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, OS X 10.8 or better and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer).

Can I play radio Wales on catchup

BBC uses Flash to stream on the web which is not compatible with iOS.
There are many streaming radio Apps in the iTunes App store. You can do a search. This one claims to have BBC Radio Wales: http://www.wunderradio.com/

How to disable fast play/catchup of live video

Hi,
Starting with Flash 11.2 we have noticed that if the user changes the window in which the live video is being played, it does a catch-up when he returns back to the video.
This was not seen in Flash 11.1 and previous versions. Is there a way to disable this

Can't view tv catchup services on Ipad

TV catch up services such as Iplayer, ITV player are unavailable on my Ipad I just get an error message saying I must be in the UK to view them . All my settings are for the UK, can anyone help please, everything is available on my PC .
I have Ipad 4 I think versin 8.1.2

Hello Betty!
If deggie idea did not work for you, my next suggestion is to synchronise your ipad with your Mac or PC through iTunes.
Off the top of my head, I think you should be able to get to the TV episode through Video app on iPad, but if that did not work for you, try looking in the iPod app. I know, that probably sounds funny as most think of iPod as an Audio/MP3 player. It kind of threw me at first too.
Video Podcasts appear in the iPod app, and the Video app, I worked out.
If you decide to synch the iPad, have a look under "Purchased on iPad" in the Playlists section on the left sidebar in iTunes.
So:
1. Check if the episode appears in Video app.
2. Check if it appears in iPod app.
3. Synchronise with iTunes, and see if it appears in "Purchased on iPad" playlist.

Catchup is asking for subscription

Hi,
I wasn't sure whether to start a new post or add to the existing post, but I am also getting the VCN 126 (followed by the VCN 134) error message, and need the help of a Mod, please.
(NB We've had this issue before when we we changed are account and BT Vision started asking us to subscribe to both Catch Up and On Demand. The solution was to 'Reset Registration' but this failed with a VBA 134 error. We couldn't Reset the Registration, and nor could the the BT Call Centre staff from their end. Eventually after several attempts a 'technician' at BT was able to fix the Reset problem and we were then able to 'Reset Registration', and no longer had the 'Subscribe' messages from Catch Up and On Demand.
This time the Call Centre staff are telling as a Factory Reset is the only solution, but obviously we don't want to lose all our recordings, especially when we know this can be fixed by being able to do a 'Reset Registration').

No longer require assistance from Mod. Problem now resolved.
After escalating this call (two levels) spoke to someone at BT who recognised that to resolve the original VCN 134 error, we had to be able to 'Reset Registration' through the BT Vision 'Settings' option, but to be able to do this we needed to get round the VBA 134 error that occurred when trying to Reset Registration. After a couple attempts at tweaking the software at their end, BT resolved the VBA 134 error, so we were then able to 'Reset Registration' successfully, and so get rid of the original VCN 134 error.

Spotlight / Finder Find catchup

I understand that Spotlight creates a cache to speed up searches and I assume the Finder menu Find uses that cache as well.
My question is that the cache cannot always be 100% up-to-date, correct? And so, when searching for something, it might take a few minutes/seconds, so how do you know when the search is complete?

Thank you Terence. For the record, I find it confusing that the window states "Searching xxx" because it sounds like it is performing a search, not that it has completed the search, which led to my question. Got it now.

New BT Vision box - no Freeview HD

My brother in law asked me to set up his BTV box - just arrived - so he could watch BT Sport. That was easy and he can now watch BT Sport 1 and 2. He is on a 4mb adsl line and has problems watching catchup - but reckons that is because he lives deep in Suffolk countryside and is not much bothered.
However, I was puzzled that he could not receive the Freeview HD channels - does the new box not have an HD tuner? (I have YouView boxes and 38Mb Infinity so I wasn't sure what to expect). I did rescan thebox but no HD - he receives from Sudbury.
BTW he was told that he was paying £5 amonth for Sport (I suggested this was for TV Essentials as Sport is free) and this would go up to £20 next year - anyone heard this?

The BT Box does not have a Freeview HD tuner. The HD channels are delivered over Infinity Broadband.
He will be paying for the Essentials package at £5. This is not increasing next year.
