I should have never done the Grave mistake of downloading Disastrous iOS6. The maps are not working at all. Also, they have moved YouTube Icon from new version.I am using Iphone 4S.

None that I know of.
It's more impressive and useful if you write an app and get it published in the App Store.
That way you can show you aren't just a 'paper MCSD'.

Schedules for certifications based on new SAP product versions?

Are there any schedules available that show when SAP certifications and related curriculum will be updated to newer product versions?
I also have a current requirement from an end user to find certifications and classes based on Crystal Reports 2013. Everything I can find is based on the older version 2011. Is there any schedule for availability based on the newer version?

Certification is not necessary for consultant positions in India, but if you are certified then this will be an added advantage for you.
Companies doesnot look for certified people only, the first criteria for consultant is how good domain knowledge do you have? Do you have experience in that field or not, if yes then how good you have worked in earlier project. When you have certification then its an added advantage for you than the others who are appearing for the position for interview.
In short certification is not must, but having is always an extra edge over others.

Exam results for 1Z0-858

Hi,
Yesterday (4th May 2013) , I had appeared for the 1Z0-858 (OCPJWCD EE5) certitifcation exam at the NIIT,Residency Road,Bangalore test center, and that will get a mail regarding the results in 30 min after completing the test, but its been a whole day now, and theres no update from Oracle regarding this.Can anyone please let me know the reason for this delay ?

It looks like there have been some problem from at least some test ceners getting results through to Certview.
It is a weekend ... one with a bank holiday at that in some cases, though AFAIK it was on Wednesday in most if not all of India.
A lot of the experts who fix these things when broken will only be back at work on Tuesday (US local).
So it it probably best to be patient until then.

Captivate Certification does not work for at least another week

yesterday I was supposed to take my class for the Adobe Captivate Certification (ACE Exam).
But Pearson Vue did not manage to send the test over two hours.
Last comment was:
We will look into this, but the next test will not be within the next week.
I had to laugh a bit, because I was trying to take an eLearning exam about eLearning creation software and the eLearning system did not work.
So - for everyone who scheduled a class, you probably want to check back, if it is working.
Pearson VUE did not contact me until now, so I cannot tell you any more.

Exam scheduling (price)

The 1Z1-151 (Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g: Build Applications with Oracle Forms) is now in Beta version, and Beta exam close date is April 21, 2012. Now, the exam price is US$ 50. If i schedule, for example, tomorrow for this exam, and i select the date of... let's say 5th May (so when this exam is in production), will i pay only 50$ or the real production exam price?
In other terms, when an exam is in Beta and i schedule for a date in the future when the exam will be in production version, how much should i pay? The Beta exam price or the higher production price?
Also, for beta exams, the vouchers for students within Oracle Academy, still applies?

Back in the dawn of time, I took the exams for Forms & Reports certification (don't recall the numbers offhand). When the tests were upgraded a year or two (or three) after I took them, I got a packet indicating my certification had been upgraded from Release I to Release II. I didn't do anything personally to trigger the upgrade.
I also recall reading that once you have passed a specific exam that you cannot take successors to it. However, you need that data from an authority rather than from someone who recalls reading it in a forum post. I'm reasonably sure that Pearson doesn't make that particular call, so being able to schedule the test through their website isn't definitive. Their website would need to have some fairly complex logic to know that you aren't allowed to take tests X, Y, and Z because you've previously passed earlier versions of them.

There are no specifically exam focused books for these exams now or in the pipeline as far as I am aware. (This is the cause in fact for the majority of oracle certification examinations that are available).
If not, please also let me know the best books to study for 1Z0-144 & 1Z0-146 exams?

The Oracle Documentation itself is in fact quite good, and sometimes IMHO better than the books!

Better Certification Board recommendations (Request for comments)

Now for something completely differerent:
Jordan, I appreciate what you tried to do with the Solutions for Review thread but... The latest exchanges (and a few others) on this thread I feel demonstrate why the "Mega-Thread" has already outlived its usefulness. There a a lot of good tidbits and side discussions buried in this thread that would be much more searchable and cohesive if the posters started their own threads.
Perhaps some new board suggestions for effectivness could be floated in place of the "Sample Exam Solutions for Review"?
Tips on CLD Solutions for review:
Start a new thread - indicate there will be a CLD example for review in the subject line.
For follow-up discussions on critique points start a new thread with a link to the example and a subject about the point under discussion.
This should allow the frequent fliers on this board the chance to develop a useful body of theads where specific points related to Cert specific preparation and concepts can be gathered and easily cross linked by the heavy hitters (And who knows, easilly searched by the certification candidates)
As the board grows I would hate to lose some "gems" in the noise. If we get together now, to think about what this boards goals are we can maximize our return on investment in supporting certification.
All comments welcome. Jordan, please consider floating this discussion for maximum visibility.

I think that's a great idea - centralise the submissions and decentralise the critiques.
Another idea to improve the Certification Board might be to introduce subforums for each of the various types of certification (CLAD, CLD, CLA, etc.).

I have scheduled for a CLAD exam. I have been reading many questions posted on LAVA and NI forum, working on example exams but still not very confident. Especially, after seeing people saying the actual exam was much harder than the two sample exams on NI. I wonder if it is true for recent exam (Summer, Fall 2011)? If anyone who just took the test, please verify this information

Am I able to recive any help on the exam if there are some words I don't understand? Like getting them translated for me or something?
I'm familiar with most of LabVIEW's terminology, but not all the other complex words used in the example exams.
Like this for an example:
The words I've marked is not trivial to me, and I'd might fail this type of question on the CLAD exam
