How to use OMJX transaction? Need to add an additional field on MIGO item
hi guys
we need to add a new field on the MIGO screen at the item level. We are trying to explore OMJX to add custom fields.
We have used append structutre to enhance the GOITEM structure but are not clear on how to use OMJX.
ANy idea how to use the transaction OMJX.
Thanks in advanceWith the Business Add-In (BAdI) MB_MIGO_BADI, you can extend the
interface of the goods movements transaction (MIGO) with additional
tabstrip controls for the detailed information (detail tabstrips) and
header information (header tabstrips). It is possible for an external
application
o to display an additional detail tabstrip with own subscreen (max. 10
lines) in MIGO
o to display an additional header tabstrip with own subscreen (max. 3
lines) in MIGO
The program name, screen number and tab page text can be determined
dynamically. Different screens can therefore be controlled according to
the mode (for example, change mode, display mode, goods receipt, goods
issue).
Pushbuttons
It is not possible to implement pushbuttons in the MIGO menu, but you
can, however, implement pushbuttons directly on the external subscreen.
The OK code from MIGO is forwarded to the external application so it can
react.
Cursor Control
So that the cursor stays on the same subscreen after you press Continue,
if it was positioned there before, the external application in the own
PAI must hold the cursor positioning (on the same screen 'yes'/'no'; if
'yes', on which field), to set the cursor in PBO again.
Requirements
If you use the BAdI MB_MIGO_BADI in MIGO to update customer-own data, in
addition to the material document, to the database, you should note the
following:
o The BAdI MB_MIGO_BADI is only active in transaction MIGO.
o If you post goods movements with other transactions (for example, with
MB01, MB1C, VL02N), you must ensure that customer data is also
updated, if necessary.
You can do this by using the BAdI MB_DOCUMENT_BADI (Creating a
material document) to post the goods movements with the transactions
mentioned above.
o Note that otherwise, posting the goods movements will lead to
inconsistencies between SAP system data (for example, in stocks,
material documents, FI documents) and customer data. -

I Don't know how to use SBO Transaction Notification procedure
Hi all
I don't know how to use SBO Transaction Notification procedure
can any body give me description why we use, where we use,how we use some example
Awaiting soon reply
Rajkumar G.example is for testing, if on delivery is filled ref no of vendor or not
if @object_type = '20' and (@transaction_type= 'A' or @transaction_type= 'U')
begin
if 1 = (select count(docentry) from opdn with(nolock) where docentry =@list_of_cols_val_tab_del and (numatcard is null or len(numatcard) = 0) )
begin
select @error =1
select @error_message = 'vendor ref no isnt filled'
end
end
next example is for creating BP as vendor and testing, if dont begin for specific sign
if @object_type = '2' and @transaction_type= 'A'
begin
if left(@list_of_cols_val_tab_del, 1) = N'x' or left(@list_of_cols_val_tab_del, 1) = N'X'
begin
if 1 = (select count(cardcode) from ocrd where cardcode = @list_of_cols_val_tab_del and cardtype in ('S', N'S') )
begin
select @error =1
select @error_message = 'Vendor code cannot begin to X sign.'
end
end
end
is it clear? -

How to use Z transaction type while in the Transaction launcher Wizard?
In SPRO->CRM->Transactions->Basic Settings->Define transaction Types I can see a whole host of Z transaction types.
These define all sorts of business transaction defaults. Within the Transaction launcher Wizard there is a Transaction Type that can be entered, but I can only see three options, being 'BOR Transaction', 'URL Transaction' and ' M', for some reason. None of the transaction types shown in the above SPRO path are displayed.
Does anyone know how I can use my Z transation type. These are used by the config behind the Action Boxes for the Winclient IC, but I can not get the Transaction launcher wizard to see or use these. The SAP How-to Guide to tha Transaction Launcher says that only BOR and URL Transactions can be used (unless you have IS-U). If this is true then how does one provide all the information provided by the Transaction type. The whole idea of the transaction type is default this information in one area.
Anyone.
JasonI think it is possible.
In CRMC_UI_NBLINKS if you look at the logical links you can see that SRV-ORD-DC has a Parameter of 'SRVO' with a certain Parameter Class.
If you were to check SPRO->CRM->Transactions_Basic Settings->Transaction Types you will see that SRVO exists as an entry. This logical ink is therefore using this Transaction type to extract characteristics etc.
Having said that, I need to call the sales order create with a certain transaction type, so I copied SLS-SLO-CR to a Z copy, added the Parameter of 'Z111' and also used the Parameter class of CL_CRM_UIU_BT_PARAM_CREATE.
This should now, in theory all work, and show the exact same transaction in the Webclient IC as it does in the Winclient IC as they are both using the same Transaction type. However, the Webclient transaction looks different in terms of fields etc., so I don't think it's working. after all.

It's not clear where you set the USER_COMMAND routine and where you set the OK_CODE for doubleclick.
I suppose you set the routine in the importing parameter I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND (?) becasue you aren't use the parameter for the event, but for OK_CODE?
Remember the OK_CODE should be upper case:

How to use call transaction stmt from webdynpro application
Hi Expers,
Can I use call transaction 'tcode' in my webdynpro application, I have tried in my application but i am getting short dump saying
Error analysis+
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below. The exception, which is assigned to class'CX_SY_SEND_DYNPRO_NO_RECEIVER', was not caught and therefore caused a runtime error. The reason for the exception is: During background processing, the system attempted to send a screen to a user. Current screen: "SAPLMGMM " 0060.
I haven't used any more statements in my application am sure from my application side everything perfect. but I have seen a screen shot
with SAP screen in webbrowser.
Please help me out if you are not clear abt my doubt please ask me for clear idea.
Thanks in advance
Phalani MHello,
Since you can't use the call transaction command in web dynpros components, I suggest you to create a report and fill a BDC table on this and use the call transaction in this report.
So, in your web dynpro component you can use a command SUBMIT to create a job in background.
DATA: number TYPE tbtcjob-jobcount,
name TYPE tbtcjob-jobname VALUE 'JOB_TEST',
print_parameters TYPE pri_params.
CALL FUNCTION 'JOB_OPEN'

How to use ZSLFN transaction type
Dear Experts,
We are using standard service desk functionality and we have two transaction types named SLFN & ZLFN.We have a BW & ECC system connected to our solution manager. My requirement is that the BW system should use SLFN transaction type and ECC should use ZLFN transaction type.
Regards,
Sachin.I think it is possible.
However, the Webclient transaction looks different in terms of fields etc., so I don't think it's working. after all.

How to use same transaction when calling CMP entity beans and DAO (JDBC)
We are currently using Weblogic 8.1 SP2 with an Oracle 10g database (using XA thin and non-XA drivers).
We have a session bean that invokes an entity bean and a DAO (data access object pattern) in order to add data in 2 separate tables (account and history). Rows are added to the first (account) table using a CMP Entity bean while inserts are done in the 2nd (history) table using a DAO. Here is some pseudo code:
addHistorySessionBean (trans-attribute="Required")
begin
Step #1 - call addAccountEntityBean (trans- attribute="Required")
Step #2 - call addHistoryDAO (get datasource, connection)
end
The 2nd table (history) has a foreign key constraint to ensure that the corresponding key exists in the first (account) table. Unfortunately, DAO inserts on the 2nd (history) table fail with a foreign key constraint violation (INTEGRITY CONSTRAINT VIOLATION - PARENT KEY NOT FOUND!) since they cannot see the row added to the 1st (account) table in step #1 by the CMP entity bean.
How does one ensure that all this is done in a single transaction ? It appears that the app server creates two seperate transactions (one for the session bean facade and the entity bean and a 2nd transaction (when we retrieve a connection using the same data source JNDI name) for the DAO.
A post on server side suggested using a "<resource-ref>" in the session bean to tie the two potentially separate transactions together, but that does not work for us. However, I am not sure if we are doing that correctly. After we define the resource ref in the session facade bean, do we use the resource ref "name" attribute to lookup the datasource or do we still lookup the datasource by JNDI name ? Do we need to define the resource-ref tag in the entity bean also ?
Does Weblogic allow using a single transaction for this type of a scenario ? How does one specify within Weblogic that the same transaction should be utilized by the entity bean and any subsequent DAOs?
People have also suggested that we defer constraint checking until the transaction(s) are committed but that sounds like a work acount without addressing this issue. Would postponing the constraint checking in Oracle cause any additional overhead ?
Any suggestions with specific examples or documentation on how to address this issue will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, this does not work since it appears that there are 2 separate transactions going on here. One, the original one initiated by the session bean and used by the entity bean and the other initiated by the DAO. Any other ideas appreciated.
Hi,
Try setting the delay-database-inserts tag to
ejbCreate in RDBMS descriptor file.

How to use the transaction STO5 (SQL Trace)
Hi,
I want to check the performance of program using the ST05 transaction. Please send me the step by step procedure to trace my program.
Thanks & Regards,
Santhosh Kumar.RHi,
following explanation clearly you abt ST05
Hi,
SQL trace(ST05) provides the developer with the ability to analyse database select statements. Simply execute ST05 to turn on SQL trace, then execute the statement/program you want to analyse. Now turn off SQL trace using ST05
and click on list trace to view the details.
You can also perform traces on other items such as authorisation objects.
The trace list has many lines that are not related to the SELECT statement in the ABAP program. This is because the execution of any ABAP program requires additional administrative SQL calls. To restrict the list output, use the filter introducing the trace list.
The trace list contains different SQL statements simultaneously related to the one SELECT statement in the ABAP program. This is because the R/3 Database Interface - a sophisticated component of the R/3 Application Server - maps every Open SQL statement to one or a series of physical database calls and brings it to execution. This mapping, crucial to R/3s performance, depends on the particular call and database system. For example, the SELECT-ENDSELECT loop on the SPFLI table in our test program is mapped to a sequence PREPARE-OPEN-FETCH of physical calls in an Oracle environment.
The WHERE clause in the trace list's SQL statement is different from the WHERE clause in the ABAP statement. This is because in an R/3 system, a client is a self-contained unit with separate master records and its own set of table data (in commercial, organizational, and technical terms). With ABAP, every Open SQL statement automatically executes within the correct client environment. For this reason, a condition with the actual client code is added to every WHERE clause if a client field is a component of the searched table.
To see a statement's execution plan, just position the cursor on the PREPARE statement and choose Explain SQL. A detailed explanation of the execution plan depends on the database system in use.
Performance Tuning is useful mainly reducing load on database. It is very important aspect while writing the programs/FM etc.....
SQL Trace
Use
The SQL Trace function is an on-demand log of selected SQL statements that are issued against the database through the Open SQL Engine. The SQL Trace can be switched on or off dynamically. The log format is database independent. Besides the SQL statement text, each log record contains information about the point in time when the statement was executed, its duration, its input parameters and results (where applicable) as well as context information.
Features
The SQL Trace is especially useful for:
Development:
SQL Trace can help JDO, enterprise beans, servlet and JSP developers to learn which kind of database accesses their code produces.
 Performance analysis
Typically, performance issues are caused by inefficient database accesses. In this case SQL Trace can be used to show the issued SQL statements and their duration, thus helping to identify inefficient SQL statements.
Functions
<b>The following functions are available on the initial screen</b>:
Select trace:
Select the trace mode SQL Trace, Enqueue Trace, RFC Trace, or Table Buffer Trace. You can select mutliple trace modes simultaneously.
Select trace function:
Start the trace recording.
Stop the trace recording.
Branch to trace list, detailed list, or time-sorted list.
Branch to Explain SQL to analyze an SQL statement without an explicit trace file.
Trace files are managed by the system. Thus they can be saved, like any other object;
saved trace files can be displayed and deleted.
Trace Status
A trace can only be activated once on any application server. The Trace Status display informs you whether another user in the system has already activated a particular trace.
Starting the Trace
Prerequisites
<b>You can only switch on the Performance Trace for a single instance</b>. You should already have decided the scope and targets of your performance analysis.
Procedure
<b>To analyze a trace file, do the following</b>:
... 1. Choose the menu path Test  Performance Trace in the ABAP Workbench.
The initial screen of the test tool appears. In the lower part of the screen, the status of the Performance Trace is displayed. This provides you with information as to whether any of the Performance Traces are switched on and the users for which they are enabled. It also tells you which user has switched the trace on.
2. Using the selection buttons provided, set which trace functions you wish to have switched on (SWL trace, enqueue trace, RFC trace, table buffer trace).
3. If you want to switch on the trace under your user name, choose Trace on.
If you want to pass on values for one or several filter criteria, choose Trace with Filter.
Typical filter criteria are: the name of the user, transaction name, process name, and program name.
4. Now run the program to be analyzed.
You will normally analyze the performance trace file immediately. In this case, it is a good idea to use a separate session to start, stop, and analyze the Performance Trace
If you are shown trace kernel errors on the initial screen (for example, not enough storage space available), you must first remove the errors or have them removed by your system administrator.
The selected trace types can be changed as required during a performance trace interval (time between switching on and off the trace). The user (user group) must remain unchanged.
Result
The results of the trace recording are written to a trace file. If trace records are overwritten during the trace interval, the system displays a message to inform you when you analyze the trace file.
The results of the trace recording are stored to ten trace files. Overwriting trace records, however, cannot be entirely excluded in this case either.
The Performance Trace records all database access calls, table buffer calls, remote calls, or calls for user lock activity. These measurements can affect the performance of the application server where the trace is running. To preserve system performance, you should therefore turn off the trace as soon as you finish recording your application.
Stopping the Trace
Prerequisites
You have started the trace and finished running the program that you want to analyze.
<b>For performance reasons, you should switch off the traces as soon as you have finished recording.</b>
Procedure
<b>To deactivate the trace:</b>
... 1. Choose Test Performance Trace in the ABAP Workbench.
The initial screen of the test tool appears. It contains a status line displaying the traces that are active, the users for whom they are active, and the user who activated them.
2. Select the trace functions that you want to switch off.
3. Choose Deactivate Trace.
If you started the trace yourself, you can now switch it off immediately. If the performance trace was started by a different user, a confirmation prompt appears before deactivation-
Result
The results of the trace are stored in one or more trace files. You can then analyze the performance data stored in the trace file. See also, Analyzing Performance Data.
