MM-PUR-OPT-LB Load building without Retail solution

Hi,
has anyone tried to set up automatic load building (module MM-PUR-OPT-LB) in Release ECC 6.0 without using the retail solution? The optimization routines are available but do not work in a non-retail environment. It seems that some retail-related tables have to be filled before the optimization can be executed.
Please contact me, I would like to exchange experiences in the customization setup.

As there seem to be no replies to my previous question, I would like to pose another query wrt Order proposals which are generated in SAP F&R and then transmitted to ECC. Since an order proposal is a type of purchase requisition. Can the order proposal quantities be added to a Manual Purchase order without generating a PO for the Order Proposal for the same vendor as this would result in not generating two PO's for the same vendonr. Can someone shed some light on this area.

PO Document type for Automatic Load Building

Hi Everyone,
We have a 46C SAP Retail installation and I am currently working on automatic load building. Would anybody know how I could force the system to use our customized PO document type ZB01 instead of the standard NB during PO creation of the automatic load building functionality?

I dont want to do extra logic which can cause performance thing.
I have datatable which get fill from Dataset after database query, now i need to format column as decimal but without extra logic.
I was thinking to create clone and than Import row loop but it ll kill performance, its WPF application.

You cannot do any custom things at all without doing some "extra logic". Formatting a number as decimal is certainly not a performance killer in any way whatsoever though.
If you are displaying the contents of the DataTable in a DataGrid you could specify a StringFormat in the XAML:

Why wouldn't PSE 4 load styles without disk?

Suddenly, my Photoshop Elements 4.0.1 would not load "styles" without the disk! Searching the forum, I only saw PSE 6 having this problem and you fixed it by trashing Mediadatabase.db3. Well, in my flavor, there is no db3 file, just a "cache.dat" file. Tried the plist file, but pas de difference. Is something corrupted here? Your mind on this would be appreciated.

Phew! I was beginning to get worried there! ; ) Thanks for the redirect, but your gut feeling about Camera Raw 4.6 working for PSE 4 might have been misplaced. I believe PSE 6 made the leap to Universal Binary whereas PSE 4 was still running on Rosetta. Working with 4.3, my PSE still ground down and quit after a few batch processes like 4.6 did. I found that my CPU was getting bogged down with two browsers that were open. Seems to be running fine, now. I'll try it with the 4.6, again, to see if more CPU will do the trick with it, too. I still wonder about the Rosetta/Universal paradigm, tho.

Load repository without (TCP/IP) port binding?

Hello all,
According to the MDM100 course, it is possible to load repositories without port binding (for port flip-over). But how do I do this?
When I try to erase the port number of the (unloaded) repository, a message informs me that a port number between 2000 and 9999 is required.
Is this option gone in SP05?

Hi Charan,
You're right for typical use, but I'm working on a high availability scenario. Basically, it should be possible to load a slave repository without port binding. In case the master repository fails, the slave can immediately take over (by assigning the port of the master), at least in read-only mode - but better than nothing and external applications don't have to be reconfigured.
When the master repository is up again, it can take over the port.
For bigger installations, a clustering system is probably better suited, though...

Auto load building

I am working in P2p with auto load building
I have run MRP, Assigned pr to source,
While running WLBA analysis tool for load building i am getting green message stating that no issues in automatic tool loading.
while working in WLB13 tcode for automatic load buliding i am getting the red mesages as a result inturn it wont create the automatic PO in WLB4.
whare is the error / mistake?

i have maintained all necesary settings in forecast , rounding profile etcc

After executing in WLB13 results were shown
if it is error free system will give messgae in green color, now it is red color and telling that " result lists : no entry is appearing in REd color.
the next stage of the is WLB4 whare the matl selected for auto load building along with PO no will appear.
this is not happening?
what ar all prerequeste and config, for auto load building ?

Can i get a iPhone build without a camera

I work in a place where i can have a cell phone but it can not have a camera build it. I know that other brand phones come with options to have special build without a camera. Can the iPhone be build special order to not have a camera???

Docal97 its not that he don't wanna use the camera as if he didn't he could just not use the camera. Some jobs such alot of government jobs have Classified/Top Secret stuff they don't want you to take pictures of.. So no camera's allowed...
But instead of paying $99 to have a company take out the camera and therefore Voiding your phones warranty or scratching the camera lens therefore making the camera useless and/or voiding your warranty why not just do this simple alternative.
Buy a iPhone and use when not at work. Then buy a cheap second phone without a camera to use when at work then just swap SIM Card between phones.

With your playhead over the clip in the timeline and that V track's 'track selector' as the only one active...hit the 'f' key.
This will load the original clip into the viewer at the matching point of the frame in the timeline.

IChat Load Balancing or failover solution?

Hello, I am working a plan to develop a iChat server. I think a Mac Mini would be a good start for a group of 50 users. The users are all over the country and my role is to unite them all in a iChat domain. I thought about building two Mac Mini servers and have them run a same domain where all users are registered in. So, we would not be impacted when one of them goes down.
Anyway, the question is how can I have a load balancing or failover solution for the iChat domain?

On the issue of load balancing, whilst I don't have any experience with macMini's, you will not need to worry about load balancing with 50 users. I'm sure you can probably put a few naughts on the end of that before you need to worry.
The design you are proposing will not work for iChat services / and for that matter most of Apple server services. For high availability services (e.g. transparent failover) I think you are going to struggle to get this working and it 'seems' Apple no longer offers guidance on this subject on 10.6.x.
You will increase availability by using an Xserve with dual PSUs and raid disks. If you are only running high availability ichat services, I would buy a pair of second hand xserves with 10.5 OS and set the ipfailover services running. Personally I would buy one and a service kit and not bother with HA - as you will find the servers are very reliable.
If you have to use mini's then just have one live and keep a near constant clone of it on another ready to manually swap out if you have a hardware failure.
Your proposed design will not work without a lot of effort non of which is supported by Apple - although it would be rewarding if you did get it working. You cannot have server to server traffic for the same domain as all your application data needs to be stored centrally. OD only provides services for authentication. The ichat server also has its own data store and this is not distributed nor can it be. It is possible to move the data store over to say an enterprise version of mysql and have that distributed.

Product Costing in SAP Retail Solution

I have a question about product costing in SAP Retail (SAP ECC 6.0).
In material master data (Tr. MM43 - Tr. MM42) Product Costing view for Logistics:CD sheet is activated.
Although, for Logistics:Store sheet is not activated.
In customizing, we have tried to activate the Product Costing view for Logistics:Store sheet, but there no standard dynpro to use it. So, we have some doubts:
- Do we have to create customer (Z) dynpros in order to activate Product Costing view for Logistics:Store sheet?
- Does SAP allows Product Costing functionality in SAP Retail solution?
If both answers are YES, i have another doubt:
- In our business scenario, the store is supplied by the Distribution Center. So, does it make sense to run product costing for
a articles in a Store?
We think it makes sense to apply product costing functionality in Distribution center. In order to analyze deviations from
Standard costs to real costs. But we are not sure about Stores.
Does anyone have experience in customizing product costing functionality for a SAP retail in a Logistics:Store?

Product hierarchy in R3 is termed as Merchandise category hierarchy in SAP IS retail
But in R3 Product hierarchy is not used much but Merchandise category hierarchy that is termed as MCH is a basic thing reqd for defining master data that is article master data which is nothing but material master in R3
As i said Product hierarchy levels are available in R3 also but not much used
Merchandise category hierarchy levels is most commonly used in SAP IS retail
What we call material group in R3 is same as Merchandise category in SAP IS retail and material in R3 is article in Retail
Merchandise category hierarchy levels
Say a Retail mall has merchandise items
Under merchandise there are 2 divisions Food and non food
Under nonfood say there are 2 divisions say hardware and apparel
Under apparel there 2 divisions say Mens wear and ladies wear
Under mens wear you have t shirts,shirts and pants etc
Here t shirts,shirts and pants etc are individual articles
Menswear and ladies wear are material groups
Hardware and apparel are merchandise hierarchy level 1
Food and non food merchandise hierarchy level 2
Retail mall is merchandise hierarchy level 3
like that hierarchy levels are commonly defined and used as a must to have efficient master data in SAP retail and the maximum no of hierarchy to have ideally is 6 apart from Merchandise category
In our example we have defined three levels
The same functionality can be used as product hierarchy in R3 also but doesnt been put in to use much
In Retail the no of articles a store is going to manage to be will be huge hence this sort of seggregation is needed there must

Site Profiles in Retail Solution

Hi SAP Gurus,
I have one question regarding Site Profiles in Retail solution. I have two different companies with the following structure:
Company 1000
DC 1000
Store 1100
Store 1101
Company 2000
DC 2000
Store 2100
Store 2101
Distribution Center 1000 supplies Stores 1100, 1101, 2100, 2101 and DC 2000. In my opinion, the site profile for stores 2100 and 2101 should be 0120, but Iu2019m not shore if stores 1100 and 1101 should have site profile 0110 or 0120.

Once a Profile is assigned for a site viz.,a store or a distribution center it cant be changed subsequently.

We have installed the Retail solution and do not intend to use the best practices. We would like to activate relevant BC sets though. We have identified the following BC sets associated with EA-RETAIL:
EA-RETAIL-AKH
EA-RETAIL-IMG
EA-RETAIL-MENU
FRE/EA_RETAIL/STORE_50
FRE/EA_RETAIL/STORE_50/BASIC_SET
FRE/EA_RETAIL/STORE_50/REF_DET_S
Does anyone know of any other BC sets that maybe relevant for Retail but not necessarily be listed in the EA-RETAIL software component?

How to load different html files in one page in order to load them without leaving the main stage?

I'm new with edge animate, but i fell in love with it.
I'd like to know, is it possible to load different html pages dynamically in the main stage in order to avoid the preloader to be load?
I can figure out how to save all the pages of the site, but i can't merge them in a continuous animated browsing experience.
As sample.
I've got a index.html and home.html, how to switch form index to home without having a clear division between the two pages?
I can place all the animations within a file and this will allow me to have a continuous surfing experience but it won't generate specific and google indexable pages within the site.
Example, index.html will generate www.mysite.com, home will generate www.mysite.com/home. How ho switch dinamically between them and integrate them in a unique fading experience?

Look into using the Loader class to load the swf files. If you want to have it happen in different frames then you can put the code into the different frames.
