MM-SUS Limitations
Dear Experts,
I have observed following limitations in MM-SUS. please let me know my assumptions are correct or not?
Apart from that if any limitations in MM-SUS then please let me know.
1) Purchase Orders in MM SUS Scenario must always have POR & ASN in Confirmation sequence
2) ASN creation will not be created with serial numbers.
3)MM SUS scenario is used only for materials.
Thanks
Ravi
1) yes , the sequence is the same if the purchaser wants the follow on documents
first he has to confirm the purchase order --> and this is purchase order response , then he will create advance shipping notification --> and then the invoice.
if the purchaser wants , he can skip any of them --> and again sequence remains the same except for the follow-on document which is not required.
2) ASN --> number is generated by the system --> but i guess --> items of the asn you should give a number
3) services is possible in MM-SUS , but only as an extension > and is not available in standard> is part of consulting --> which is chargeable..

Proproblem in replicating vendor in MM-Sus schenario
Hi,
I tried to replicate vendor from ECC to Sus system . My sus is a separate client in my SRM box . I have followed the procedure given in plan driven procurement process when i tried to run the transaction bd14 iam getting the idocs upto sus sytem before posting it to the vendor org group it is throwing me error wheni i debug the same iam getting the error message as region code is not maintained for the country . Is there any procedure for replicating the same from ecc system thanx in advance for your valuable input
Regards
Sridaran.K.SNote 1314487 - Error in creating User via "Create Users" menu link in SUS
In SRM SUS scenario, when the SUS Vendor Administrator creates a new SUS user or changes an existing SUS user in the SUS User Management screen, an error "The region is not defined for country" occurs during SUS user replication to SRM system. This error happens when the vendor's country is different from the user's country. This note rectifies the above mentioned error.
This issue already exist in EBP_SUS
see the piece of code is used in this note.
are all vendor you ahve the same problem or only limited to above scenario report to sap.

OKhello,
I think you should try to type in the shell "unset LANG", then it should run properly.
Check also not to have 2 or three Jre process running (in the shel type 'ps' and then 'kill -9 PID NUMBER' of runinstaller processes)
good luck -

I have searched the forums for this problem and I didn't find something about the specific crash (not enough files...) although I see that it is something common for the VM to crash at that step for various other reasons...
I use jdk-1.4.2_12 but I have also tried jdk-1.4.2_09 and jdk-1.4.2_08 (as recommended in some articles) with no success.
My hardware platform is a compaq 6500 server with 1GB RAM, 52GB disk space, 1GB swap.
Currently (after db creation & ABAP loading) the remaining free disk space is 6GB (enough I think to complete the installation). The java and oracle processes seem to fit with no problem in the current resource limits (memory + swap).
I don't think that it is a resource limit problem (user limits - file descriptors & processes - have been defined as needed). I have read that it might be a JDBC Oracle driver problem but I have already patched Oracle to 10.2.0.2...
I would very much appreciate any of your ideas, as my installation is stuck there...Hello Matthias. At first, thanks for your answer.
I don't think that what you mention is the problem cause the kernel parameters are set up accordingly. Here is my sysctl.conf:
<i>kernel.shmall = 2097152
kernel.shmmax = 2313682943
kernel.shmmni = 4096
kernel.sem = 250 32000 100 1024
kernel.msgmni = 1024
fs.file-max = 65536
net.ipv4.ip_local_port_range = 1024 65000
net.core.rmem_default = 1048576
net.core.rmem_max = 1048576
net.core.wmem_default = 262144
net.core.wmem_max = 262144</i>
As for the currently open files this is what I get when I
<i>cat /proc/sys/fs/file-nr
2550 0 65536</i>
And as for current user limits for file descriptors
<i>ulimit -n
65536
</i>
As for oracle I don't get an error ORA-1118 that would declare that something happens with oracle file limits. Anyway in my control files there is
MAXDATAFILES = db_files = 254 while the database has only 19 files for the corresponding SAP tablespaces
Anyway I keep trying... Any other ideas? -
Supplier Registration without SUS or XI?
Can I do Supplier (Vendor) Registration without SUS or XI? If not, what are my limitations?
I am using SRM server 5.5, and am not using CCM as the supplier directory. I am not using questionnaires. ROS_SELF_REG works. However, I cant notify vendors via email of acceptance. Because I dont have SUS, I cant use SRMSUS_SELFREG and SRMSUS_SELFEDIT, correct? To do User Registration, can I use ROS_SELF_EDIT?
How is workflow WS10000209 (Approving External User Master Record) used?
I appreciate any feedback.Hi Scott
It's difficult to give a reply hre, but let me give it a try...For more details, try the links given above by other friends.
You do not need SUS for Self-registration.
COnfig
1)Create another client for ROS.
2)Create RFC destination for EBP system in new client. Similarly, maintain RFC dest for ROS client in EBP system.
3)Maintain backend systems for ROS system in EBP and EBP system in ROS.
4)Configure some product categories (need not replicate from ERP) to be used during registration.
5)Configure the IMG settings for Supplier Self-registration (they are easy..just go through them once.
6)Configure SCOT settings (check notes 455140) for outbound & inbound mails.
7)Maintain org plan for purchasing org (ppoma_bbp)& vendor group(ppomv_bbp). No need for elaborate org plan like in EBP...just simple org plan.
8) Maintain table BBP_marketp_info (Txn:SM30)
9) Activate ROS_SELF_REG, ROS_prescreen etc ROS services in SICF
10) Maintain client and logon info in ROS_SELF_REG service (SICF)
11) In EBP client, maintain SAP client parameter for role SAP_EC_BBP_ST_PURCHASER for BSP link preselect suppliers (right click and change node details).
12) Maintain catalog call structure settings in EBP client IMG for the ROS supplier directory. The URL shd be taken from ros_prescreen attributes in ROS client.
Process:
1) With the service ROS_SELF_REG, a partner can register. System creates a BP (prospect) in the ROS client.
2) An email is sent to the given email id
3) Fill the attachment and click 'send survey' button. An email is sent to the system and system copies the survey response to the registered business partner
4) From EBP client, click on preselect suppliers. System launches the ROS client registrations listing screen.
5) Check the suppliers registered, check the data and accept/reject the supplier registration
6) Accepted suppliers data can be pulled into EBP through 'Maintain Business Partners' transaction and create supplier (bidder/vendor) in EBP client.
Hope it helps
Best regards

MM-SUS Scenario---Error in R/3 IDOC when i change the Quantity in SUS
Hi All,
I have changed the PO quantity in SUS and then send the PO acknlowledgement to MM. I could see the idoc as error with the following message...
error message: Acknowledgment for PO item PO number 100 and item 00010 contains quantity variance.
Can any one suggest what needs to be done to rectify the above issue.
Thanks in advance...

SRM SUS Supplier operating in more countries?
Hi all.
SRM SUS 7.0
We are implementing SRM SUS, and my question is quite simple: A vendor that in ECC has more than 1 purchasing organization, how can I distinguish among those in SUS so that not all contact persons are receiving the PO?
I would expect to simply use either the purchasing org or company code, but the organizational setup for SUS is so limited, that the EKORG og BUK are not even considered.
Supplier ABC operates in EKORG 1 and 2; with 1 overall SAP vendor number. That's standard. In SUS the supplier is created in the PPOMV_BBP with no respect to BUK, and EKORG is not even a parameter/an attribute you can use while creating the vendor org units. When the supplier is replicated to SUS, it is created in PPOMV_BBP. Then you create a contact person in SUS to let SRM know who to send the PO for this vendor number to. However, the contact person does - again - not take either BUK or EKORG into consideration.
I can only see that if you use SAP ECC with 1 overall vendor number for multiple purchasing organizations, then SUS will not be able to distinguish and send the "New PO in SUS" info to the right contact persons, since there seem to be no organizational setup for SRM SUS...
I hope I am overlooking something simple, so any input is valid!Hi Sam.
Thanks for the input. However, what you state is not accurate for our scenario at least. In MN04 we simply control the output conditions in ECC - however, for our MM-SUS implementation given our current ECC/SRM releases, we use XML out from ECC and into SRM again; not regular output conditions.
And my issue is still the following:
Functional scenario:
Supplier called ABC operationg in 2 countries but with 1 overall vendor number
Contact Person 1 created for vendor; this is in pur org 200
Contact Person 2 created for vendor; this is in pur org 300
Contact 1 should only see POs in pur org 200 in SUS; Contact 2 should only see POs in pur org 300 in SUS.
In ECC, this would be vendor ABC and create him in the 2 different pur orgs; no problem. In SUS, however, the vendor master (or BP) does not use the purchasing org in any case. And when creating the contact person in SUS for the overall vendor ABC, there is no org maintenance either. Therefore, all POs from ECC to SUS will be sent to both contact 1 and 2 because SUS does not seem to know how to handle 1 vendor number with multiple purchasing organizations.
This sounds strange to me! Any other input?

Service Procurement PO Issue in MM-SUS Scenario (SRM 7.0)
Hi Gurus,
We are facing issue while creating the service purchase order in MM-SUS scenario.
Creating the PO in ECC with Account Category "K" and Item Category "D". (PO should transfer through XML as in XI config v hv used proxies for both ECC & SRM,when creating PO xml not generated in SXI_MONITOR. what is the config required in ECC to generate the XML)
What is the Process of service entry sheet.
Regards
SatishNote 868192 - Consulting solution: MM-SRV-SUS service procurement
A service entry in SUS is transferred to the R/3 system or ERP system using an IDoc after you submit the entry screen. Service entry sheets are created there and they are then available for release. You can perform the service entry in a number of ways:
Service entry of planned services: you can confirm planned services in the service entry in SUS. An overdelivery may occur if quantities are still open.
Service entry using time recording: planned services, for which a time recording is useful, can be split up. Time recording by the hour or by the day is possible.
Service entry for limits: You can use the free-text entry of new items and also the OCI-enabled catalogs to implement limits.

Marc BoorshteinI am experiencing the same problem. There seems to be a horrible bug in the installer program. No problems are reported
at the end of the install log. But earlier I find messages such as:
Festlegen des Wertes f|r PROD_HOME zu /oracle9201/../oui
oracle.swd.oui Produktverzeichnis: Das Verzeichnis /oui konnte nicht erstellt werden. Entweder haben Sie nicht die erforderlichen Berechtigungen oder der Datentrdger verf|gt nicht |ber ausreichend Speiche
For some strange reason it seems to use /oracle9201 as base here instead of $ORACLE_HOME which is /oracle9201/product/home. But of course the / directory is not writable for the oracle user.
The backslashes do not look good either. And again for some reason it does not use ORACLE_HOME as base directory here. Moreover the system has installed some things twice, in $ORACLE_HOME AND in /oracle9201. I think there is a problem in the installation program that uses the wrong path for some base directory. It can probably be overcome by giving oracle access to the / directory and then later copying these files into ORACLE_HOME. But who wants to give oracle-User access to / directory? -

GeorgeI found another thread in this forum where you can look up how to extend your swap space (look at the bottom of that thread):
re:Out of swap space during 9iAS install.
I am very new to Linux, I am very much disappointed,
I installed Linux with lots of hopes that I can
Install Oracle tools easily on Linux and work
comfortably. Now If I cannot intall a small database
Oracle XE, even with 1GB Ram and 25GB harddrive on
Linux, I don't realize why people run for Linux.
I could Oracle XE on windows on a machine with 512
mb ram in 4 minutes.Maybe you should take into consideration that you are not so "new" to windows and that each new system has a learning curve.
Someone please help.. in detail. How to resize the
swap partition at this point.Look in the provided link.
I have very limitted or no knowldge in Linux.Maybe you should change that or stay with what you know. I don't see any other way ...
As a sidenote, each command under Linux does have a so called "man" page (from manual). You also need to open a shell to access those commands as shown in the thread.
And please, take a look at the commands in that thread before you start implementing, since for example the dd command seems only to create a file with a size of 512M.
Knowing how to use a search engine would also be a valuable asset in your current position.

SUS Invoicing in EBP-SUS Scenario
Hello SRM Gurus,
Due to various business process we will be deploying ECS SRM with EBP-SUS scenario. We have strong requirement to provide PO invoice and non PO invoices ( eg utilities) via SUS. I know EBP-SUS scenario is limited to POR, I would apprecite if anyone has implemented invoicing in SUS as people tell me it is technically possible. If so, please share information.
-thanks!
ShilpaHi
<b><u>Please go through this which might give you some useful details -></u></b>
In the original business package for SRM 5.0, the two iViews , "Invoice Monitor" and "Setting for Invoice Monitor" , are not included in the content. But for some business cases, these two iView are required.
To add these two new iViews change the business package content manually as described below in the Release-Independent SAP OSS Note 928764:
Note 928764 - BP SRM 5.0: Add two new iViews to standard business package
Note 543544 SUS: Extended Classic Scenario for EBP not supported
Note 662077 - No values return for Order/Contract Simulation on Invc Pymnt
Note 1096691 EBP invoice from SUS in ECS gets 'To Be Corrected Manually'

ORA-27102 in SUSE Linux 10.1 (64 bit)
Hi all,
We are migrating our Sun solaris OS to SUSE Linux 10.1 64 bit and database is oracle 9.2.0.6
In sun solaris server we are having 8GB physical memory but when are allocating 4gb to oracle memory, we are getting error at the time of nomount stage
ORA-27102: out of memoryThe following parameter have been set at a OS level

SCN scheme 2but i have crosschecked the same in oracle metalink 151496.1
and i got to know that
The error is reported by Oracle during allocation of the SGA and will happen
in cases where the kernel parameter SHMMAX/SHM_MAX is not set high enough.
The SHMMAX kernel parameter decides the maximum size of a shared memory segment
that can be allocated in the system. Since Oracle implements SGA using shared
memory, this parameter should be set appropriately. The value of the SHMMAX
kernel parameter should be higher than the maximum of SGA sizes of the Oracle
instances used in the server. In cases where the SHMMAX is smaller than the SGA
size, Oracle tries to fit the entire SGA into a single shared memory segment,
which will fail, and you will see the warning message in the alert.log.
The recommended value for this parameter is 4294967295 (4 GB), or the size of
physical memory, or half the size of physical memory, depending on platform.
Setting the SHMMAX to recommended value in the kernel parameter configuration
file and rebooting the server will get rid of the warning messages. See the
platform specific Oracle installation guide for detailed information on how to
modify the SHMMAX/SHM_MAX kernel parameter.but i had also set the value half of physical memory i.e 4gb but still i am getting the same error
