I tried with DBadapter select it does not work ... For blob objects cant use select throws error as expected number got blob
can call a stored procedure to write the file to some directory but that file will not be created with the same name of the file as stored in DB .. need to hard code the filename in utl file or if we pass a variable to get the name of the attachment file we have to use select query in cursor which throws error like above in step 2
Can some body tell me how to get the blob attachment with the same name as it is stored in DB table

I want to send an attachment through email.
But I want to pick the file from say local drive then how can i specify the path of the file in file name.
Also, i dont want ot append the conent from payload to the file. i wanted to sendthe file as is.

ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using Data Services

Hello,
we are facing ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using BO Data services
(Oracle 10g database, BODS Xi 3.2 SP3)
Test Job performs
1- truncate table
2- load table (tested in standard and bulk load modes)
Scenario when issue happens is:
1- Run loading Job
2- Job end in error for any Oracle data base error
3- When re-running the same Job, Job fails with following error
ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified
It seems after first failure, Oracle session for loading the table stays active and locks the table.
To be able to rerun the Job, we are forced need to kill Oracle session manually to be able to run the Job again.
Expected behaviour would be : on error rollback modifications made on table and BODS stops Oracle session in a clean way.
Can somebody tell me / or point me to any BODS best practice about Oracle error handling to prevent such case?

the ora-0054 can occure depending how the job failed before. If this occures you will need the DBA to release the lock on the table in question
Or
AL_Engine.exe on The server it creates the Lock. Need to Kill Them. Or stop it..

How to delete columns in table control (tab Services) for transaction ME51

Hi, gurus!
We're facing this problem in our upgrade: we have a batch input (ME51) in order to create purchase requisitions, but we get an error with the dynpro data (program: SAPMM06B, dynpro: 0102).
We are sure we populate all the required fields in that screen.
The only possible reason we find for that error is the fact that we have two new entries in table control (in tab services=> Current settings there are 67 fixed columns)
We had to add in table T162V (which previously had only 65 columns for each variant): ESLL-SRVMAPKEY y ESLL-EXTERNALID, as described on note 1382685, so table control and table T162V could have same number of fields.
We guess we could solve the batch input error deleting those fields in both table control and T162V, but don't know how.
We really would appreciate any clue.

It's an own batch input.
The error is: "Batch input information for dynpro SAPMM06B 0102 does not exist", but the fields in that screen are alright.
And that batch input works fine in another client with same patch level, but without fields ESLL-SRVMAPKEY and ESLL-EXTERNALID in table T162V, so I guess that could be the problem (not sure about it, of course).

Push Data in SAP Tables using Data Services

Hi
Lets suppose that I have used Data Services 4.0 to pull data from KNA1 table , and loaded into the MDM where data cleansing , enrichment and deduplication has been done, and then MDM writes to a file.
How can Data Services then push the cleansed data back into the SAP table ( KNA1) ? [or it cannot be done due to multiple reasons ]

Dear Divya,
In most cases, the error messages " Another user modified table XXX (XXXX) (ODBC -2039)." comes because after opening the form at your side, another user opened the same form and applied some changes. You can close the form, open it again, apply your changes and then update it to avoid this error message.
But in some cases, even if you close all the clients and login again, the problem still exists. In that case, this error might be caused by Database Corruption which need DB fix. If this is the case, Kindly log a message to SAP Support.

Passing table to web service - using javascript

Hi All,
I need to pass table structure to web service using data connection.
I dont know how to accesss the request node and create table and pass data to it.
Request you all to help me to achievev this functionality.
A long needs to split of 50 characters each. Then create a new instance for request node table structure assign the values.
All this needs to be done using CODE i.e javasript
how to do this ???

Let me explain the scenario once more:
Scenario:
Pdf has two Text edit field and one button. Where the end user would enter the values.
The PDF is integrated with Web service for Offline scneario.
Field 1 is a notification number.
Field 2 is description - unlimited entry into PDF.
Button: is used to execute the web service.
It is done using the blog:

Field1 is mapped to corresponding field in web service by IMPORT/EXPORT bindings.
Problem:
Field 2 is a text field. But this data has to be passed to web service as table. The web service has a table structure.
Hence the text in the Field 2 has to be split into 100 characters each and set into table rows.
The Strucutre definition in the data connection is:
- Item
- TDFORMAT
- TDLINE
Since I need to split the text and load.I felt this needs to be done using code ( script ).
I do NOT know how to do it using CODE. Please help ME!!!!!!!!
If there any other way please let me know. I am also not sure which would be best way of doing it.

Loading standard R/3 Hierarchy in BO Database Table using Data Services

i'm trying to load Cost Center Hierarchy from R/3 to BO database table using SAP BO Dataservices 4.0
i have replicated the Data Flow and Abap Data Flow explained in SAP documentatio (SAP BusinessObjects Data Services 4-0 SP1 Supplement for SAP) and http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/ReadingR3Hierarchies
but it doesn't work
i get errors like:

It appears that the structures of the two Data Transports going into the Merge Transform don't have the columns in the same order. One of the Data Transports has PARENT_DESC listed before PARENT_ID and the other Data Transport has PARENT_ID before PARENT_DESC.
Basically, you need to change the order of the columns in one of the Data Transports so that it structurally matches the other Data Transport that it's being merged (UNIONed) with.

Tables and Web services!

Hi,
I have looked around and tried unsuccessfully to find a way to bind a table component to a web-service result.
The Web-service returns an array of Objects.
I do the drag and drop and it seems the binding did work. I can then configure the table layout... but when run the project....
this is what I get

Anyway, Here's a few things that you would want to check:
- Did you test the webservice method? i.e, In Servers > Web Services> $YourWebservices> $W/S-Method, invoke 'Test Method" and ensure you get the right results
- If you are binding a webservice method that needs parameter values to a table component, make sure you set the parameters in the Page init()

Delta data load for huge table in Data Services XI R3

Hi,
We have a project requirement of pulling delta data once in a week from table which has around 44 million records but it doesn't have any last modified column.
In such case we have to use table comparison transform, but it will be very time consuming.
Please provide some suggestions to meet this requirement.
The source of DS job is a snapshot(the source table is in a remote database).

Because SAP Business Objects Data Services XI 3.x doesn't have any built-in delta-enablement mechanism with R3/ECC, the only possibility right now is to do a table compare. Given that this is only a weekly activity, while maybe time-consuming, it may be sufficient.
In the future, you may want to consider activating the related SAP BW standard content DataSource(s) to extract into Data Services prior to loading to the target repositories. This may provide delta-enablement for the data that you're extracting.

Dynamic Tables and Data Service

i have a dynamic table (with add/delete row) buttons,
one of the fields in each row, needs to populate the rest of the fields with first/last/address information.
i understand how the data service works for a single fields, is there a way to do this by adding/deleting rows?
how can i bind them? and how do i ensure that the proper row is populating?

To get the instance of the subform that you are working on you can use this.parent.index. Now when addressing the field the occurance number is on the container subform and not on the field itself. So if you had a Page1 - Subform1 - Row - Object you would use Page1.Subform1.Row[instancenumber].object.rawValue
The only issue is the the [] are illegal in javascript so you can use the syntax:
xfa.resolveNode("Page1.Subform1.Row[" + this.parent.index + "]").object.rawValue

Is it possible to modify SQL DB tables using TUXEDO services???

I dont know how to use to resource manager to connect to the SQL Server Database
nor have I ever worked with SQL Servers.
But you could possibly try doing the following.
In the Tuxedo Server / Service, using Pro*C, you can use the
EXEC SQL CONNECT :userid IDENTIFIED BY :password statment.
This should open the connection to the SQL Server DB. and then using the regular
Pro*C SQL Statement you should be able to do modify the tables.
But please be sure that the user id you use has the Insert/Update/Delete rights
on the tables that you access.

What do you mean by RFC calls? Do you want this information outside CRM?
If not, then CRM_ORDER_READ FM is enough. You just need to look into the values in returned table ET_DOCFLOW.
It will list all the related transaction GUIDS in OBJKEY_B including your problems and solutions.
