Mm01 create material  copy from a material save error.

Hi all,
      when i create a material copy from a material, valuation class  is a must enter field, but a user id is not enter valuation class and save the material. the material is save and valuation class is null. so the material has error.  and other user id  if not enter valuation class then the material can't save. 
     valuation class  is a must enter field, if it is null so the mateial can't save. but now a user id  can save it.  i check t_code:omt3u,
the value is same. if anyone met the same case please help me. thanks!

    Hi,
    I have a simple but very important question to ask about MM01 material "copy from" function.
    When you copy a material at an organisational level other than general data (at plant level for exemple), SAP copies some data and left some others blank
    For exemple, in "Work Scheduling" material views, it copies "Prod.Sched.Profile" data but not "Unit of issue" nor "Prod.stor.loc."  data.
    What make the difference between these data ? Why all isn't copied ?

    storage locations are plant specific customizing.
    SAP cannot assume that the second plant would use the same keys like the first plant.
    If SAP would copy the storage location, then it would result in an error if it is not customized for the target plant - better not to copy it.

  • Create multiple materials from existing material

    Hi folks ,
    i need to create several materials with different names and discription by refering the existing material
    please suggest how i can do that at time ;
    Here is the requirement
    I need to creat the following materials at time by copying the existing material
    only the material description filed should  be different.
    the rest of the fileds in the material should be copied from the existing materil
    mat 1
    mat 2
    mat 3
    mat 20
    existing materials   mat1287
    please let me know the step by step  proceedure to do this

    select your material type and industry.enter the copy from material number
    hit enter.
    select your Views
    hit enter
    enter the organsational units  on the left side for the to be created and on the right side for the copy from.
    hit enter.
    Click additional data button, go to tab material description, maintain the new name.
    go back to main data.
    Page true each and every view.
    If you have sales text and PO text, then correct this text.
    Save.

  • Price for 2nd material to be copied from 1st material

    Hi Experts,
          We have some unique requirement. My client is into service business. Most of our sales documents will be with one material for which price is determined from the condition records.
      In few scenarios the cusotmer will also go for additional serive, so the customer service team will key in an additional material in the sales order manually. For the second material the business wants the price to be copied from the first material. Is there any Standard way to configure this? I know we can do this by writing an alternative calcluation type routine, but would like to know is there any standard way to do this?

    You can try convincing your users with any of the following approach based on their comfort level:-
    1> If you have set PR00 (or base price of your pric proc) as condition type in the pricing procedure determination, you can maintain the value of the same in initial screen itself (on the same row where they enter material) instead of going to conditions tab.
    2> Save your sales order with first line item.  Then come to VA02 and keep the cursor in second line item.  Goto Edit ->Additional function >Propose items or simply Ctrl+F11.  On the dialog box, give the current sales order number and click default with quantity option.  Then go to the condition amount column by scrolling horizontally and maintain PR00 value.

  • Delete document in a project that was created by copying from the Solution

    Here is our scenario:
    We have a Solution linked to a Maintenance project. 
    Additionally I have an Implementation project that I pulled Scenarios from the Solution as a starting point (ie. SD).  I used the COPY documents option.
    Now, I would like to delete a document from the Implementation project and I cannot because the attached error message. 
    What is the standard process for something like this?  Any suggestions.
    Can;t find the attachment option:  ERROR: the document is still in use and cannot be deleted.

    Firstly, try deleting the assignment in the implementation project by using the button with a "minus" icon. Then in the maintenance project you try the deletion. If it stil doesn't allow you to delete it. Try deleting all the assignments and afterwards you may try to use the report solman_unused_documents to find the documents without any assignment and locate this to delete.
    Please read the wiki page for documents in solar01 and solar02. It may help you to better understand my recommendation.

  • Cant copy from External Drive get error Code 50

    I have a Mac Pro and suddenly it won't copy files from any external drive, or write them either. The drives mount and show up in fiinder, and they start copying, but after about 30 seconds they error out with "The operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code 50).
    It has done this on two different Mac Pros and 3 different external drives.  I don't remember this haqppening before. I have Paragon NTFS running on both Macs and they have worked flawlessly for maqny months but now they won't complete.  Any help would be appriciated.

    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
    Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
    Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
    Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on some Macs.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    Test while in safe mode. You'll only be able to read, not write, an NTFS volume. Same problem(s)?
    After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)

    i am coping from other material.
    normally a T.variant is working in the scenario when im creating a material
    but not when i am coping from other material.
    Any field exits would work on that .if so  how?

    i have to make the x-plant material status as 'BE' in mm01 basic view 1 ,when the material is created or copied from .<b>but it should be only default for the user might change it</b> 
    now when the material was created its workin---- coz a transaction variant has been created.
    but when im coping it from other material its picking the properties of the old material ( from which im coping) ..not the field value which i want to display as default.
    field exit only validates. can we give default value by it ,before saving a material??????

  • Bapi to Create a meterial from a template material

    Dear All,
    I have a requirement to create a material, through a bapi.. But if there is a template material ( copy from material.. ) is given, the material should be created with the details of the given material except the basic data and Classification view. Can any one tell me how can i proceed with this?
    I Can use BAPI_MATERIAL_GET_DETAIL, and the BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA. But how can the data be passed from one to another, as they have different structures? and will all the views be taken care of in this way? Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Shopping cart created for a MDM material uploaded from MARA

    Hello,
    I need to create an interfase from ECC6 material master (MARA) to MDM1.0
    I can not test the creation of a shopping cart for a catalogue material at the moment.
    My question is.
    Someone know can confirm me if is possible
    . to upload to MDM the "MARA" table
    . and the SRM shopping cart will be created for a catalogue material (uploaded from MARA, ECC6.0.
    AND the purchase requisition created in the back-end (ECC6) will take the MARA material number not a free text.
    I think that this is possible, but what do I have to define in MDM? How MDM will reconize the material number to transfer that information from the shopping cart to the purchase requisition?

  • How to create Transfer order from material document   uFF08Move type is 101uFF09

    is there any function module, BAPI to create transfer order from a material document number？
    I want to use FM L_TO_CREATE_SINGLE,but the result is "Movement type 101 for manual transfer orders does not exist".
    Is the parameters error？

    The error message you get is number 196 from message class L3, do a where-used on it from transaction SE91 and then put a break-point on each line result.  Afterwards, re-execute your function call and see which break-point is hit and investigate from there.
    With that said, you really should be using Bapi BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE for all goods movement operations.  It shares code with MIGO and executes the same Badi's and user-exits, so data integrity is not broken.  Don't forget Bapi BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT to commit changes in the database after a successful call.

  • Net Price - direct copy from material master into purchase order

    When purchase requistions are converted to purchase orders, currently we are maintaining Net Price manually
    before saving the purchase order. Is there a way where the standard price is copied from the material master {Accouting view} into the purchase order directly without manual entry

    1. Go to SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Authorization Management > Define Function Authorizations for Buyers > Function Authorizations: Purchase Order > Here "New Entries" and define Function Authorization Key as "01" and give description.
    OR use T. Code - OMET
    Here under "General parameters" subscreen, cctivate "Adopt PO Price" indicator and select "Enter conditions"
    In "Possible ref. objects", select "W/o reference" otherwise reference documents (for e.g. PR, RFQ, etc...) for PO creation will become mandatory.
    2. Now go to SU01 > Enter User ID > Parameters Tab > Here for Parameter ID EFB i.e. Function Authorization: Purchase Order, maintain value "01" and check in PO, PR will become mandatory for that user.
    3. Now during creation of PR in ME51N, under "Valuation" Tab, you will get option for PO Price Adoption as Net or Gross. Select as per your requirement and it will copy Price to PO.
