MM03 equivalent DS for BW

Hi, what is the equivalent DS in LBWE to capture MM03 data for sales org 2. How do we make a report in BW for this requirement. I need the DS for this.

You can try to use datasource 0MAT_SALES_ATTR...
If you would like to create queries based on characteristic values you should first create it as InfoProvider (in RSA1 go to InfoProvider and from menu choose something like "Create characteristic as...").

Equivalent parameter for 'Avoid Surpluses' in SNP for heuristics

Hello Gurus,
In PPDS heuristics profile we have a parameter called PROCEDURE Where we have the options like 'Avoid Surpluses', 'FIFO' and 'Avoid Delays'. Please let me know what is equivalent parameters for this in SNP heuristics. I want the same functionality to be activated in SNP ( Mainly for the option ''Avoid Surpluses" ).

There is no setting in SNP which is equivalent to avoid surplus.
However I do not see any reason why SNP heuristic would plan excess production except "fixed lot size" and "Rounding Value". This setting is not necessary in SNP.

What I need is an equivalent when instead of the IVI DLLs (Ivi.Visa.Interop and Ivi.Driver.Interop), I want to use NationalInstruments.Common, NationalInstruments.NI4882 and NationalInstruments.VisaNS.
I.e.:
NI4882.Device.Write("LDATA");
and then call:
NI4882.Device.ReadString() or NI4882.Device.ReadByteArray()
Problem is I don't know how many bytes or strings are to be read, and even if i knew it would not help because it would still not behave the same way as IVI's Readlist.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Yes, I was using ReadString. Unfortunately, it only returns 128 values of 1000, which is what I need. If you do not specify the number of values to read, i.e,. ReadString(int numberOfBytes), it assumes a default number of 128. However, I found a solution which is more of a workaround. I read the first 128 values, and it so happens that the instrument returns as a first value the number of values to be read (1000). So I read the rest of the values in a loop. Not elegant, but it seems to work for me.

Equivalent tables for MARA, MAKT and MCH1 in the EWM system

Hi,
I would like to construct a report using the existing tables in EWM. But it turns out that it's somewhat different from the ECC system.
The material tables, MARA and MAKT and the batch table, MCH1 table are not there. I need the material number( like MARA-MATNR), material description/name(MAKT-MAKTX), the division ( MARA-SPART) and the batch number(MCH1-CHARG) and expiration date(MCH1-VFDAT).
Could someone provide the EWM equivalent for these tables and fields?

SVM equivalent command for veritas volume manager "VXEVAC" command

I am working on a major migration project , where servers are heterogenous with part of servers with Veritas volume manager and rest with Solaris volume manager.
Migration is quite easy on Veritas servers using "VXEVAC COMMAND " i can easily move my data to new luns
But need to know any equivalent procedure in SVM. ..
all servers with latest solaris 10

I�m not an expert on volume management, but maybe these considerations that come to my mind can help you to improve your performance:
1.- The interlace size of the striping. You should adjust the size of the striping to match the I/O requests made by the Operating System or by the database management software (is the data access in a raw mode?). For example, if the data access is made through normal ufs access, the stripping size should match the block size of the file system.
2.- Are those disks on different controlers? Maybe a saturation of the controler, of the bus, etc... could slow down your I/O read/writes.

What is the equivalent to ---> String ss = s[i][j] == null ? "" : s[i][j];
I have no idea what ---> ? "" : s[i][j] means. My friend added this to my nested loop for it too work. Is there another equivalent way of doing this that is understandable to the intermediate programmer. Thanks in Advance.

Mm03 is blocked for some material

i am a abap programer ..we have a problem with mm03 and mm02.....
all material data in database is displaying... and also we are writing the reports...its working good....but when we are calling transaction mmo3 and mm02 for previous material (new materials created now are displaying)....when we enter the material number to display or change data...then it is saying enter MATERIAL TYPE...so
i think it is a problem with customising...
anyone can tell me the how to slove this...

as we had requirement to auto populate mstav and mstdv in mm01 when user selected Finished good or trading good

Before implementing BADI i had tried this user exit ZXMG0U02 but it only worked when saving in MM01 and would not populate the screen with MSTAV AND MSTDV fields.

I found aide package in EL5(aide-0.12-7.i386.rpm) and EL5U1(aide-0.13.1-2.0.4.el5.i386.rpm). and did not find it in EL4. :(

Hi Friends,
I am working in an upgrade project from 3.1 i to ECC 6.0
I have a report to be migrated from old version to ECC 6.0
I have 2 tables - A920 & A928 which are no longer available in ECC 6.0
A920 is a condition table - Customer / Price list / Currency / Material
A928 is price list currency table
Please let me know the equivalent tables to be used in ECC 6.0

Whenever you generate condition table with the same table number with prefix A you can see that in SE16,but as you are asking this tables in ECC 6.0,so check 920&928 tables or exist in the system as condition table(V/06)....

DSUM equivalent required for 3 condition eq' (just converted from Excel)

Hi, I have just imported a basic accounting spreadsheet from Excel and wish to see if iWork 08 Numbers is up to the task! My issue is that my DSUM calcs for creating the basis for VAT returns is not recognised in Numbers - Can anyone assist with an alternative?
Column A Column B Column C
{date range} {expense category range} {expense amount}
In Excel I used to be able to extract the expenses for a given category between 2 dates using something like this in function DSUM (date range >= Col A, expense category exists in Col B, date <= Col A, resultant expense amount from Col C)
I have tried constructing SUMPRODUCT equations instead to no avail.
In summary I need to return the sum of the expenses in Col C that meet 3 conditions within date range conditions 1 & 2 and meeting expense category condition 3.
Any advice greatly appreciated - I can revert back to Excel, but would prefer the much more economical deployment of numbers, it's basic but provided I can overcome this hurdle, adequate for my needs.

Excel seems to have a function to fit every concievalbe situation but this is certainly not true of Numbers. Your problem can be handled, but it's certainly not as slick as DSUM in Excel.
First of all, an auxiliary column may be added to your table which identifies those rows which meet the three conditions you list (plus eliminates blank situations). Actually, since this is an auxiliary column which may be hidden, I should think that you could eliminate the first part of the the formula where blanks are weeded out if you're willing to live with red and blue triangles.
"In Range":
=IF(OR(ISBLANK(Date),ISBLANK(Table 2::A$2),ISBLANK(Table 2::B$2)),"",IF(AND(Date>=Table 2::A$2,Date<=Table 2::B$2,Category<>""),"yes",""))
Then in the "Range Sum" column of the the second table,
=SUMIF(Table 1 :: In Range,“yes”,Table 1 :: D)
Note that this sum also includes a zero for Oct 8 where no amount was entered, If this is an error that must noted, Table 1 will have to be modified to flag the error.
