MM11-Schedule Creation of Material: Missing MM views & custom fields?
Hi,
I am trying to implement use of transaction MM11/MM12/MM13, but I noticed that when I go to create or change material records I do not get the same mm views when I use MM01/MM02. (ex. i am missing classification view when trying to use mm11). I also do not get any of the custom fields that my company added to the material master? Any ideas where in IMG I can correct this?

What is the use of schedule creation of material - MM11. In what specific need we
use schedule creation of material and in which way this get differs from MM01.

Suppose, you are planning to manufacture a new product after six months. The new product will be requiring around 300 materials. You have the data of those materials.
But, if you create all the materials using, Create--Immediately, all the materials will be available in your system immediately. It leads to confusion while creating physical inventory doc & MRP runs etc.
The best practice is, material should be available before ready to use. To achive this you schedule the creation of materials accordingly. For further information on Scheduling Material Creation, see the below link.

Creation of Material from SAP VIEW using CDESK.
Hi Experts,
I have one question related to creation of Material from SAP View.
CAD file created say SM1000.prt
Create DIR in CAD View say SM1000
Scenario 1 : Create Material in Background from CAD VIEW or SAP VIEW from cad desktop, It creates material SM1000
in background.
Scenario 2 : Open CDESK ( Transaction)
Click on OPEN,
Selecting the DIR created SM1000
Create the material in background in SAP View, it gives message " enter material number"
Why am not able to create the material from SAP view using CAD Desktop. If any modifications needs to be done in CDESK CUS to solve this please let me know.

maybe the reason for this is that your CAD applications provides a special material number and the customizing in CDESK is defined to use this number. In this case the number or value can by provided from the CAD application only from the CAD View.
In the SAP view the material gets created like in MM01 for example and so mabye you have to enter a material number.

The schedule creation of materials is done for the materials for whom the effectivity period is in future .. like a new material you want to activate w.e.f from 1st Jan 2008 , you can schedule this w.r.t date effectivity (valid from date )
This is to control the misuse of Master data .
Example - There is a new material intoduction which will be required w.e.f from 1st jan 2008 , but you want to planning LTP now for next year for all relevant materials ...
in this case it'll make sure that no transection can happen on this material before 1st jan 2008

SrinivasIf you are using the BAPI : BAPI_QUOTATION_CREATEFROMDATA2 , then it has the EXTENSIONIN table parameter which can be used for filling the cusomter fields.
Search SDN ,If you need to understand how to populate this parameter, there are so many exmaples in the forum on how to build the extension parameter table.

Customer Creation - Want to pass custom field data to KNA1(Customer Master)
Hi,
I have created BAPI for customer creation which uses standard program RFBIDE00 for customer creation.
I have appended new custom field(ZZATTR1) in the table KNA1 and its currosponding stucture used in the standard program BKNA1.
Import parameters of my BAPI is one structure which is having this custom field, on executing this BAPI it creates the customer but data which I give through this field is not getting transfered in the table KNA1.
This sstandard progaram uses file to containing customer information, In the BAPI I on the data from the structure to the file and further it gets submitted to the program.
My requirement is to pass the data of teh custom field which I have created, How to achieve this ?

When implementing a customer exit (i.e. field, user etc) have you ever wanted to be able to read additional
field values available in the main SAP program but not available in your exit. Now with the use of
field-symbols you can have access to any field available in the main SAP program. The code below
demonstrates how this is done within a field exit on BSTNR which can be tested using transaction

Creation of Materialized view and Materialized view log.
I wanted to create materialized view with 'REFRESH FAST ON COMMIT' option.
1) Table1 --it is partitioned range + list -- Added primary key
2) view1 -- having primary keys on view's base table
Steps:
1) create materialized view log on Table1 ; -- default primary key
2) create materialized view log on view1. --- It is giving below error.
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
i wanted to create Materialized view like below
create materialized view
REFRESH fast ON commit
as
select ...
... from table1
where c1 in (select c1 from view1 where ... );
Question:
1) As i am getting above error while creating MV log on view. Can we create MV log on view or we have to create MV log on view base table?
2) To create MV with ''REFRESH FAST ON COMMIT' option , do we need to have primary key on master tables?
Any pointers on this will really helpful.

Get same error ORA-12052: cannot fast refresh materialized view AVSYS.EVENT_LOG_MV
2052. 00000 - "cannot fast refresh materialized view %s.%s"
*Cause: Either ROWIDs of certain tables were missing in the definition or
the inner table of an outer join did not have UNIQUE constraints on
join columns.
*Action: Specify the FORCE or COMPLETE option. If this error is got
during creation, the materialized view definition may have be

Hi All,
We had created some other materialized view with for small set of data. The materialized view name is ‘XXCA_PAGL_RECON_GL1_TRANS_MV’ and it has created a table with the same name.
What I am unable to understand is that the new table which was created by the system during the creation of materialized view is in VALID state but the materialized view is in INVALID state.
Please help me to understand this process.

VenkateshThe column dba_objects.status for mviews is set to INVALID when the base tables are updated. See Metalink note 454552.1. It is normal.

Material Group field is Missing in Material Master - Purchasing view ?

I want to configure to bring back Material Group field is Missing in Material Master - Purchasing view. It is mandatory to Create & save a master. I cant save a master in sandbox. Need Help..I make all field as Optional & Create master successfully.. Thanks.. I even verfied in J1ID Master for assesable value & Chapter ID Combination.. But in Cenvat Determination Field, How i can set Default Indicator for Modvat "tick" & how can i set Excise Intimation Date also.
I checked Material Master in mm03 [ Display].
I clicked More & Pre Vals. option in Foreign Trade Import.
For More, It shows this error.

I reviewed few discussions and unable to get the correct answer.
I did the configuration for Material availability check on Order Creation with Path ..
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Maintenance and Service Processing - Functions and Settings for Order Types - Availability Check for Material, PRTs, and Capacities - Define Inspection Control
In this I assigned my order type with Business Function 1.
Material Availability :
Plant XX01
Order Type XX09
Availability Check 1 Check availability during order creation
Checking Rule 01 No Blocked Stocked - All rec/issue elmts
Component Check Type Blank
Collect. conversion 3 No creation if material is missing
PRT Availability :
No Check ( Not checked )
Checking Rule 01 Status check
Collect. conversion Blank
Capacity check
No Check ( Not checked )
Overall profile Blank
Collect. conversion Blank
My question is:
MMBE for that Material ZERO.
Before Config,
when I create Order manually IW31 with a components , Status is showing Mat.availability not checked ( MANC ).
After Config.
when I create Order manually IW31 with a components , Status is showing Material committed MACM.
When Configured for [Collect. conversion 3 No creation if material is missing], still order is getting created.
I changed to 2 or 1 , still order is getting created with no difference
But its going to a confirmation proposals asking me to do
either continue / ATP quantity / Scope of check.
If I select 1 or 2, it should show Missing Parts status or if select 3, it should stop creation of Order. But its not happening as expected.
Please let me know where I am missing Config.Hello

Answer:If Material is not Created the system wont allow to add you that material until unless you create the material master created.I am considering here that you don't have material master
2 Creation even though no material is available
Answer:It will allow you to create the work order.i am considering here that you don't have sufficient stock.
Q2) what should be the expected Status for Option 1 or 2.
Before Config it was showing
Status is showing Mat.availability not checked ( MANC ).
After Option 1 or 2, Expected Status ?
Answer: You need to enter value 02 on the Availability Check field on the MRP3 tab of Material Master via TC MM02.
you will be get Material committed MACM after Saving the Order.

Hello Sirs,
I have to create a material which will be consumed directly. I would use the
material type NLAG (Non stock material). If I create a material with this material type, will it contain an Accounting view where in I can maintain the price of the
material? If it contains an Accounting view, which type of Price control should be
used (Moving average or Standard)? Further, can we maintain an info record for
a material with material type NLAG?How the price updation happens?

To maintain work scheduling view go to transaction code MM50 & then in selection fields select maintenance status as A (work scheduling, then enter plant no, material no & material type. After this execute this transaction.
This will lead you to WS view, on work scheduling view maintain the details as needed.
