MMC Between 9300 and 9300i

Hi everyone, I don't know if this can help some of you who faced such problem or not.
I have my old MMC prior to get the 9300i didn't allow me to change the password on the Nokia 9300 and I went back to Nokia Serviec shop and get a new one but still the option, Menu > Memory card > Security > Change password or remove password were in active. they calim that it's a problem with the cards and they promise to get me one as soon as they fix them!
After i got the 9300i with the free MMC that came with the device i tried it with Nokia 9300 and I opened the side
File Manager > Menu > Memory Card.
all the options were inactive. I tried it with the Nokia 9300i, only the " Format Memory Card" option was active. i formatted the Card with 9300i it worked well, it appears on the file manager. Then choose From the File Manager Interface :
Menu > Security > Change Password,
and the I enter a new password for my New MMC.
I tried it again with Nokia 9300 after I assigned a new password, it didn't worked and i couldn't see it in the file manager. I went back to the Service/repair shop with both devices ( 9300 and 9300i ) and after I tried 10 cards - only ONE worked fine with both devices and I replace it with the one that came with the device.
Now I can't get any MMC unless it works fine and appreas on both devices, and i don't whether the two devices can't read the same memory card at the same time or memory cards corrupted.
Backing up Data on MMC from 9300 and restoring these data on 9300i was working very well with me not worrying about the PC Suite Version conflicts or couldn't find .NFB or .NCC files etc.
Yours

Gufi,
Check your firmware version ( *#0000#)
If your firmware is v 05.22 then the maximum MMC you can use is 1GB
If your firmware is v 6.27 then you can use a maximum size of 2GB
If you are using v 5.22 then you can get the firmware upgraded at a Nokia service centre

    if the mobile is locked and I have a contact Card with multiple mobile fields,
    is there any way to Show the number or filed name with Caller Contact name on the outter phone screen Without opening the side or unlocking the phone to view the number?
    as it was in 9210i ( Ex Smith, John Mobile(business).

    It has most of the same fields as address book app on mac along with an add field function that you can add whatever field you want.

  • Choice between 8520 and 9300

    Hi, I'm in a bit of a dilemma, I would like to buy a BB but dont know which model to take, either the 9300 or the 8520. I have read through the differences between the 2 handsets and more or less the 9300 is better on paper.
    The provider is offering me the BB 9300 for 190 pounds (I'm just converting this into pounds) MORE than the 8520.
    My question is that,  is the 9300 a 190 pounds more better than the 8520?
    Thank you

    Hi and welcome
    Good thinking to check first. Thanks for converting into £ but this is multi-national so no need. Now as you have done I will explain about here in the UK.
    I'm guessing you are in the US and it seems to me you guys pay a fortune for devices and still have to buy carrier time.
    In the UK, at present, if you sign up for an 18 month carrier contract which will cost around £10 per month inc 500Mb data you get the 8520 FREE, nada, zip. And you get 12 months carrier warranty on the device as well. Maybe there are similar deals around you?
    The 8520 does not have GPS functionality and this makes it cumbersome for applications that rely on location settings such as FB Places and many others.
    The 8520 is unlikely to receive the latest software  - OS 6 due to limitations of the memory/processor. OS 6 is available for the 9300 and will probably come pre-loaded. There's nothing wrong with OS 5 but it cannot be upgraded on the 8520.
    Whichever you choose, make sure you have a data plan; without data you seriously limit the functionality of any BB and don't worry about extra data costs unless you have no Wi-Fi at home and want to be downloading music/video constantly. Last month, I used 2.6Mb of my 500Mb allowance.
    Good luck and hope to see you on here regularly.

  • 9300 and MMC memory

    Well, I have searched the forums and tried several helpful suggestions, however, I am still stuck.
    I have a refurbished Nokia 9300, and I just purchased a 2gb MMC card. But alas, not recognized. I have the most current firmware according to the software, I have tried to reformat the MMC with FAT instead of FAT32, I do have the cover on when trying this. I can get the file manager to "see" it, however, when I try to format it internally, it gets to 0%, then gives a "bad request was issued" error. Sooooo......any other suggestions? : )
    Thanks All

  • Username (dn) differences between AD and eDir

    I'm trying out DSfW, and have created a DSfW partition in an existing test tree, and created a user in iManager, and joined a windows 7 machine to the domain. That user can log in fine to the workstation, through ldap, and through another machine with the novell client on it. If I create the user through MMC, though, the user can only log in to the workstation with the username; Logins fail through ldap/novell client.
    E.G. I create a user through iManager with the username "test" where the first name is "Test" the last name is "DSfW". The username is created as I expect through eDir, with the CN, userprincipalname, and sAMAccountName all being "test". Login works with everything.
    If I create it through MMC, though, the userprincipalname and SAMAccountName are "test", but the CN is "Test DSfW" (which would be typical of AD). This would be fine, but login through the Novell Client doesn't work when typing the username ("test"), but it does work with the full name ("Test DSfW").
    Am I doing something wrong, or is this expected. I'd like to use MCC for user management, but I can't ask my users to remember 2 different username structures, based on whether the machine is a domain machine or not, or different ones for ldap services than machine logins.
    Can anyone shed any light?
    Thanks in advance,
    Adam

    (IDM) so that the creation happens exactly as you want, automatically,
    and then your manual stuff can all be done via any tool you prefer?
    No, no reason that I need to do management through MMC other than a sour taste for iManager's clunkiness. We typically do eDir user management through C1, with mass adds and changes done through HBWare's MassUser, or via LDIF. If I can keep doing it with one of those methods instead of iManager, then I will. Will DSfW attributes be created if I create a user via C1 or through other methods? Or is there a way to add these after the fact?
    Maybe as an alternative, could you use something (IDM or otherwise) to
    rename the object from the value of the Full Name in the CN attribute to
    the sAMAccountName value to the CN/RDN part of the object?
    We're considering DSfW in order to eliminate IDM between eDir and IDM.
    Even so, I don't have any experience creating IDM drivers, and I'm not sure how to make IDM transform something within one system, rather than during the "sync" between different systems.
    I was hoping for a setting within MAD that would configure
    which attribute was stored in the user's RDN, but I do not see one
    within MAD's usual tools/settings.
    Good luck.
    That's what I was hoping for too, but I haven't had any luck finding anything either.
    I will give user creation through C1 and MassUser a try and see if they get "samified" and work as domain accounts too. If so, I'll just keep doing that.
    How about if I move users from my existing Users containers into the domain mapped partition? Should they get the appropriate attribs as well?
    I mainly want to make sure machines that have the client on them now will continue to work while we slowly roll out a new image that has the machines joined to the DSfW domain.
    Thanks again for your help,
    Adam

  • Difference between Null and null?

    What is the difference between null and NULL?
    When is each used?
    Thanks,

    There is a null in java, but no NULL. null means no value. However, when assigning value, the following is different:Although the empty String has no special role. Null means, the referential type is not assigned (doesn't refer) to a specific object. The empty String is just another object though, so seeing it or pointing it out as something special when it actually isn't at all (no more special than new Integer(0) or new Object[0]) just adds to the confusion.

  • 7344 servo motion switching between open and closed loop operation

    I have a custom end-of-line test system presently using a 4-axis 7344 servo controller to perform various functional tests on small, brushed DC motors. The system is programmed in C/C++ and uses flex motion functions to control the motor during testing. Motors are coupled to external encoder feedback and third party PWM drives running in closed-loop torque mode from an analog command signal. The system uses all four motion axis channels on the 7344 board to independently and asynchronously test up to four production motors at a time.
    In closed-loop mode, the system runs without issue, satisfying the battery of testing protocols executed by this system. I now have a request to add additional test functionality to the system. This testing must be run in open loop mode. Specifically, I need to use my +/- 10v analog output command to my torque drive to send different DAC output levels to the connected motor.drive while monitoring response.
    I do not believe the flex motion library or 7344 controller includes functions to easily switch between open and closed loop mode without sending a new drive configuration. I am also under the impression that I cannot reconfigure one (or more) servo controller axis channels without disabling the entire drive. As my system runs each axis channel in an asynchronous manner, any requirement to shutdown all drives each time I change modes is an unworkable solution.
    I am open to all ideas that will allow asynchronous operation of my 4 motor testing stations. If the only solution is to add a second 7344 controller and mechanical relays to switch the drive and motor wiring between two separately configured servo channels, so be it. I just want to explore any available avenue before I place a price tag on this new system requirement.

    Jochen,
    Thank you for the quick response. The 7344 board does an excellent job running my manufacturing motor assemblies through a custom end-of-line tester in closed loop mode. A portion of the performance history and test result couples the motor through a mechanical load and external shaft. The shaft is in contact with a linear encoder that closes my servo loop.
    My new manufacturing requirement is to also sample/document how the small DC motor behaves in open loop operation. Your solution is exactly what I need to perform the additional functional tests on the product I am manufacturing. I see no reason why this cannot work. I was originally concerned that I would need to reinitialize the 7344 board after changing axis configuration. Initialization is a global event and impacts all four channels on the 7344 board.
    Using flex_config_axis() to change axis configuration on a single channel without disturbing other potentially running axis channels will solve my concern. It will be several weeks before I can return to the manufacturing facility where the 7344-based testing machine is located. I will update this thread once I verify a successful result.

    Hi all
           I am using a database view of tables VBRK and VRKPA  for fetching invoice list based on the customer number. Can I use  'VBRK-RFBSK = C' to differentiate between closed  and open invoices?  If not is there any other field i can use from this particular view for the same.
    Thanks

    Hi Asim,
    Yes, you are absolutely right. This field give you the exact result like which billing dcoument is open and which is closed.

  • Link between Delivery and Sales Order Schedule Line

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a requirement in which i need to display quantity and amount at schedule line level and also the delivery and delivery item for each schedule line.
    For example, if there is a sales order O1 and item 10 for which we have 3 schedule lines and 3 deliveries as well say D1, D2 and D3.
    Report should be something like this
    Sales Order    Item   Schedule Line    Delivery    Del Item   Confirmed Order Qty
    O1                 10      1                       D1           10            5
    O1                 10       2                      D2            10            5
    O1                 10       3                      D3            10            4
    How can i determine that a particular delivery corresponds to which schedule line of that saler order-item?
    We have the link between delivery and sales order but is there any way that we can get the link of delivery at schedule line level?
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Gaurav

    Hi,
    I suppose you must check with SD functional consultant and the post should also be in the logistics SD forum and not BI. But I suppose there is know specific link between the schedule line of SO to the Delivery. It is more like a bucket flow for ex.
    Sale order   Item    Schedule line  qty
    SO1            Item1     Sch1            10
    SO2            Item1      Sch2           10
    Delivery Item QTy
    DO1       IT1   15
    DO2       IT1    5
    In this case qty 15 is distributed over both SO1 and SO2, and SO2 ITem1 Sch2 has link to both the DOs
    So I am not sure if you can establish a one to one link, please check with your SD consultants.

  • Difference between GUI_UPLOAD and WS_UPLOAD

    Hi,
    Please make me clear about the difference between GUI_UPLOAD and WS_UPLOAD. In which cases we need to use these modules...??
    Thanks,
    Satish

    I would suggest to always use the GUI_UPLOAD.  I say this because this is the function module which is used in the GUI_UPLOAD method of the class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.   Really, you should probably use the class/method instead of the function module.
      data: filename type string.
      filename = p_file.
      call method cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_upload
             exporting
                  filename                = filename
                  filetype                = 'ASC'
             changing
                  data_tab                = iflatf
             exceptions
                  file_open_error         = 1
                  file_read_error         = 2
                  no_batch                = 3
                  gui_refuse_filetransfer = 4
                  no_authority            = 6
                  unknown_error           = 7
                  bad_data_format         = 8
                  unknown_dp_error        = 12
                  access_denied           = 13
                  others                  = 17.

  • Difference between char and varchar, also the difference between varchar2

    Hi,
    Can anyone explain me the difference between char and varchar, and also the difference between varchar and varchar2...

    Varchar2 is variable width character data type, so if you define column with width 20 and insert only one character to tis column only, one character will be stored in database. Char is not variable width so when you define column with width 20 and insert one character to this column it will be right padded with 19 spaces to desired length, so you will store 20 characters in the dattabase (follow the example 1). Varchar data type from Oracle 9i is automaticlly promoted to varchar2 (follow example 2)
    Example 1:
    SQL> create table tchar(text1 char(10), text2 varchar2(10))
    2 /
    Table created.
    SQL> insert into tchar values('krystian','krystian')
    2 /
    1 row created.
    SQL> select text1, length(text1), text2, length(text2)
    2 from tchar
    3 /
    TEXT1 LENGTH(TEXT1) TEXT2 LENGTH(TEXT2)
    krystian 10 krystian 8
    Example 2:
    create table tvarchar(text varchar(10))
    SQL> select table_name,column_name,data_type
    2 from user_tab_columns
    3 where table_name = 'TVARCHAR'
    4 /
    TABLE_NAME COLUMN_NAME DATA_TYPE
    TVARCHAR TEXT VARCHAR2
