  • Badly need some help: SMS and MMS App DISAPPEARED

Hi there! I got my BlackBerry Curve 8520 a few weeks ago. It was working well until last saturday morning. My "SMS & MMS App" is missing! I tried to look for my messages but I don't see them even after clicking on the Messages App (the one that looks like an envelope)>View Folder>SMS Inbox but I don't see any messages there. How can I get it back?
By the way, the OS is v4.6.1.272 (Platform 4.2.0.118)

Yep. I got the question mark when I opened your URL so I looked through the source code for the file:
    http://www.rerendered.com/comps/374.m4v
Reloading the page also showed the file.
Call your server and ask them about the .m4v file extension. They may need to update some files or you may need to edit your asp code that calls the file.

  • MMS App And Browser Deleted From Phone!

I Wiped My Phone and I No LOnger Have MMS Or THe BRowser On My Phone What Do I Do?  PLZ HELP

Not to worry Brian303.  The solution is simple:  You need to reinstall your OS.
Plug your phone into your PC via USB.  Open Desktop Manager.  If you don't have it installed, go to www.blackberry.com and look at the top for Apps & Software.  The link is on that page.
Once you're plugged in and DM is running, click Device at the top and Update from the drop-down menu.  You might get a prompt saying your phone is up to date.  If you're actually offered an update, do it.  If you're not, look down in that box to where it shows Show Other Versions.  Click that and look for the OS currently installed on your phone (it should be the one at the top).  Make sure that one is checked and click Update.  Go grab a sandwich and wait until the update is complete.  Once completed, your MMS app and browser will be present once again.  Be sure not to get too excited or you might choke on your sandwich.
    - If my response has helped you, please click "Options" beside my post and mark it as solved. Clicking the "thumbs up" icon near the bottom of my response would also be appreciated.

  • Since Apple already has a SMS/MMS app for the iPhone, which can be used over WiFi, can the same app be installed on the iPad 2?

I have an iPhone 3GS, and realized I do most of my SMS/MMS messaging at home, when connected to my WiFi. Then I began to think, if I'm using the messaging app over WiFi, can the SAME app (which, personally I like much better than the third party apps) be installed on the iPad 2 (which I'm still waiting from back order)?

    Incorrect.
SMS/MMS is exchanged over the same network as calls.
"Dumb" phones or phones not in the smart category that don't have internet access in any shape, form, or fashion can exchange SMS/MMS.
Since SMS/MMS (a poor man's email with cell phones since it is very limited) is a cash cow for carriers and very profitable, why wouldn't cell phone carriers be interested in including SMS/MMS as an additional option (and of course at an additional expense) with a data plan only for the iPad? They certainly are interested in it but they can't since SMS/MMS is exchanged over the same network as calls.
Get me the IPAD SMS app
Take your whining someplace else. The self-entitlement displayed here by some is laughable.

  • Ghosts in MMS app

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum, been with iPhone since October 2008, got no answer in other forums to this particular problem. I use 3G iPhone 8GB SF, OS 3.0.1.
The problem started since I upgraded to 3.0 and enabled MMS. I sent a couple MMS, then deleted them. Then I get an SMS from an unrelated contact. In a preview I see his text, but when I open his message I see the text and sometimes the picture from the previously deleted MMS to a different person. Then another SMS comes in - another deleted MMS picture pops up, and so on.
I checked with my carrier, thought it was their mix-up - they referred me to a good psychiatrist.
My contacts notice nothing wrong, by the way, they get the correct pictures and texts, the mix-up is only at my iPhone.
The MMS APN string definitions have been double checked with the carrier - they are OK
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Probably your carrier. It worked the first time I tried. Ask your carrier if you are set up for MMS.

  • How do you select multiple messages/conversations on SMS/MMS to forward or save to memory card on Samsung Stratosphere?

How do you select multiple messages/conversations on SMS/MMS to forward or save to memory card on Samsung Stratosphere?
My screen is cracked and I need to replace my phone and I don't see a way of selecting multiple messages or even conversations one at a time to forward them to email or to save them to a memory card.  I can delete thread but can't forward it or move it.  Is there a setting somewhere that will move the storage location for messages to the memory card instead of internal?
If not, any suggestions on backup apps?  I have heard of Txtract to back up SMS and MMS messages, and Titanium Backup to back up everything (SMS, MMS, apps, app data...).  Anyone have any experience with those, or other suggestions?
    Thanks!

  • Moto X (2014) receiving low quality images over MMS

I've had 2 different Moto Xs 2014 and both receive images in really low quality (pixelated, lower resolution). I've tried MMS through the verizon messaging app, Hangouts, and the MMS app. My Moto X 2013 did not have this issue. Does anyone know if this a network issue or a Motorola firmware issue?

Im having the same issue on on my 2014 Moto X running Android 5.0, no matter what messaging app I use. Incoming MMS are less than 30kb but I can send at the normal 700kb. Extremely unusable resolution. Factory reset my phone and tried Verizon messaging plus which worked for one incoming MMS but subsequent messages were back to <30kb. Went into a Verizon store and checked my APN settings against different phones which were identical. Verizon employees had no explanation either. Not sure if its a Verizon issue or Motorola issue.

  • Problem deplying Struts app under home orabpel hw_services

    Hi guys,
I have soasuite v10.1.3.1.0 installed on my system.
I am trying to deploy a STRUTS application under home>orabpel>hw_services:
Application Name: gpi-mms-app (one web-module and one ejb)
Parent Application: hw_services (Human Workflow Services)
    Binding web-module to site: default-web-site
But after deployment when i view the application log, the action servlet is not initialized properly.
The problem is with commons-logging.jar, but didnt find any concrete solution where to exactly copy this jar.
I tried putting the commons-logging.jar file entry in global OC4J application.xml.
But while starting soasuite it says class loader hierarchy is not correct and complained to remove commons-logging.jar file from global OC4J application.xml.
I tried copying commons-logging.jar file in each and every lib folder. but got the same error class loader hierarchy is not correct.
Here is the stack trace when I tried deploying the application.

  • Fed up with The same OLD APPS in App store.

I have been staring at the same old Apps in App store since july 11th. Please developers give us some more Apps. I have read that Old jailbroken Iphones have 1000's of Apps. We have a few hundred.

You also need to be aware that it isn't just the developer...Apple has to approve the apps before they will permit them on the iPhone. That process takes time. Only Apple approved apps are then added to the app store.
Second, you will never see all the apps that are available on jailbroken phones because the SDK does not permit access to the phone features themselves -- if you look at those jailbroken apps, you will see all kinds of apps that access the iPod feature, the video features, the camera features. You will find bad MMS apps, you will find all kinds of things that will never be approved by Apple for the iPhone and won't end up in the official Apple App Store.
Be patient, more applications will come, but you have to be realistic about what will and what will not be available.

Can you not open the photo from the mms and save it to Gallery on your phone?
Dropbox is a bit of cloud tech, the data isnt really on your phone[or PC] but 'in the clouds'.
You might fine an app such as Astro viewer help you manage files a bit easier on your DesireS.

  • Is there a way to have a audible alert for when a mms fails to send?

Pretty much the thread title. I want to know if there is a way for a better alert then just a little red "!" next to the text and on the mms app button. To many times I have tried to send a text then turn the screen off or slip the phone back into my pocket only to get a message awhile later from the person I was trying to text asking why I never replied then I see that lame excuse for a failed message alert. This is getting really old. Also why doesnt it auto-retry to send a failed message?

    No such functionality currently exists.

  • MMS, StraightTalk, Google Voice and Hangouts

    Hey all,
I'm thinking of switching my wife's service from T-Mobile to the AT&T side of Straight Talk. I can't find good answers on this, so I'm hoping you can help.  I can't get her phone in front of me for a few days, otherwise I might be able to figure some of this out.
Can she MMS with her iPhone 5s on Straight Talk? I saw something about switching APNs, but I'm not sure.
Can she use MMS if she port my number to Google Voice?
Is there a way to switch the default MMS app to some other program? Like Google Hangouts?
Can you send a picture message through Hangouts (or another app) directly from the picture gallery?
    Thanks!

KT is "officially" right but theoretically and technically wrong. There are literally 10's of thousands of people using the GSM based AT&T and or T-mobile iPhones with  Straight Talk ... It comes with a myriad of headaches and substanrial savings. Right now a single phone user saves more than $540 a year from going with AT&T direct ( Crazy isn't it)  Though the sim swap  / change your apn settings yourself method sort of works.(sometimes) .it is a PITA..
If you use the official straight talk tfdata settings you will be able to make calls, use the internet, get e-mail and text single text to one person at a time all day long, day in day out...where the caveat to this lies is in MMS and sending and receiving pictures especially to non iPhone friends.
If saving $540 a year makes it worth putting up with that inconvenience you're golden..
We are spoiled ..If someone was to tell you here's a phone that will NOT send MMS or Pictures reliably but other than that you can do everything this other phone will do ..and BTW there is this nifty new thing called e-mail that you can send a message to as many people as you like and all the pictures you want instead of MMS'ing......$540 a year for the one that does not, $1080 for the one that does.. The Phone companies break it down by the month...big deal $45 vs $90 ...in 10 years that's $5,400 in savings!  With the money you save you could buy a new iPad every year...Crazy the savings to me makes it majorly worth using..
2 years and holding with ST on an iPhone 3gs...

  • Is there anyway to receive previously purchased content using an iTunes receipt?

I recently replaced a broken 5th generation iPod classic that will not sync to my computer anymore. The music I downloaded under that account is not showing up in my purchased list or history, and since the old iPod will not sync with my computer properly, there is no way to log into the account that I originally purchased the music on to re-download it. Is there any way I can retrieve my music using the receipt iTunes sent to my email?

Actually, a cell phone user CAN send an MMS to you by using their MMS app and sending it to your email address. All they have to do is send the MMS to 121 (for AT&T users; I don't know the number for verizon users) and have your email address be the first line of text. Then you'll receive it as an email even though they sent it as an MMS.
For example, when my daughter wants to send me an MMS, she sends it addressed to 121, and the first line of text is my real email address (NOT my [email protected]).
Not exactly elegant, but you do receive the picture in viewable form on your phone without having to log in to a website and enter the login and passcode. And when you reply, it goes to their phone since the from address is the email address of the sender's phone.

  • Cannot add term to Enterprise Keywords field

So I've enabled Enterprise keywords in the Enterprise Metadata and Keywords settings area for my library, but when I try to add a keyword to a document in that library, it won't allow anything to be entered.  Do I need to have the Managed Metadata

    Ibrahim, Kaviya,
Thank you, that was it.  FWIW, when I tried to give the new App pool a name in CA, it basically disregarded the name and used a random string for the app pool.  So, I deleted it, and then used
New-SPServiceApplicationPoolto create the MMS app pool; unfortunately, with the same result, it created the app pool with a random string. Not the worst thing in the world, but I like the app pools to have human readable names. . . Chad

  • SMS Send button NOT active

The send button in the SMS/MMS app isn't active - I can't send texts. I've tried various contacts and restarted my phone but still nothing - anyone got any ideas?

The third troubleshooting procedure is to restore your phone: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
The backup you make before you restore includes information such as mail settings, text messages, notes, call history, contact favorites, sound settings, widget settings, certain network settings, and other preferences including settings and data from third-party applications purchased from the App Store will be restored from the backup. Your music, videos, and applications will be reloaded by iTunes as they were before the restore.
