"MMS Max Message Size" what's the unit of measurement?

Is it KB? B? Kb? or b? my carrier allows up to 450KBs anything over that they charge an arm and a leg.
what if my messages go over the limit i chose? will the iPhone warn me?

Not sure what you are asking: is it

  • WLS7 JMS Max Message Size

I have done a search and found many questions on Max Message size, but I didnt
find any relating specifically to WLS7.
Q1: Is there a JMS Message Size limit the same as the T3 Max Message size?
Q2: Does the WLS JMS implementation "chunk" large JMS messages into multiple T3
              messages?

    Hi Nick,
The performance is hard to predict. It is highly dependent on message
type, application overhead, persistence, store type, CPU and network
speed, etc., so you will need to measure it yourself. I think you will
find that once message size exceeds 100K, perhaps less, perhaps more,
JMS throughput is directly proportional to message size. (eg. it takes
the same amount of time to send 10 100K messages as it does to send 1
              1MB message.)
I understand what your "chunking" question were about now. You may
find it useful to know that since its earliest releases, WebLogic
outbound requests from one JVM to another are "single threaded" from a
layered application's point of view: outbound traffic from one
application must wait until previous requests posted by other apps are sent.

  • Modify Max Message Size for particular users

I have been requested to permit a group of users (identified with email accounts) to receive emails up to 30 MB. I have check that I have to make modifications in the HAT.
I think the only solution should be to create new policies:
    Trusted-new
    Blocked-new
    Throttled-new
    Accepted-new
and in every policy permit a Max Message Size of 30MB. After that, every user should be able to receive 30 MB emails.
Is there a way to permit that only for a group of receiving users, without considering the sender?
I would be glad if anybody get me a clue, thanks!!
    Sergio

You would have to accept the message in the HAT and then use an Incoming Mail Policy to select recipient addresses. Add a content filter to that policy to select on size.
Since it sounds like only a few users should be able to recieve large messages you could use two policies.
    1) Large message recipient policy
    message size < 30mb, Action=DeliverNow
    2) Default policy
    If message > 10mb, Action=Bounce
You just can't bounce the messages right in the SMTP conversation is the only real limitation.

  • Jms max message size

I have seen some previous posts but have not found any answers. I am having problems with the onMessage method of a MDB. I am getting a java.lang.OutOfMemoryError for particularly large TextMessages...(2 megs)..Is there a setting somewhere to allow for large messages?
              Thanks for your help.

    Hi Karen,
There is no max-message-size by default, except at the network
layer of WL outside of JMS (10MB). You are simply running out
of JVM memory. Increase the amount of memory for your server,
perhaps decrease the number of MDB instances in your pool, and consider
decreasing the size of the message backlog. Extra memory is consumed
in the backlog of messages that have been passed to the MDB
but haven't been passed to onMessage yet. You can configure the max
size of this backlog (which defaults to a size of 10) by configuring
a custom connection factory for the MDB, specifying the JNDI name
of the custom connection factory in the weblogic descriptor,
and setting the custom connection factory's "MessagesMaximum" lower.
If you are creating a custom connection factory for topic MDBs
be sure to set the acknowledge policy to "before".
              Tom
P.S. Also consider compressing your messages in your application
prior to passing them into JMS. Text tends to compress hugely.
P.P.S. Just in case you don't realize - java Strings consume
              2 bytes per character.

Also MMS is supported on a carrier by carrier basis. While mostly every carrier does support ths feature make sure that your carrier allows this functionality.

  • I'm using mac OSX 10.9.5 to write to NAS, I need to decrease the SMB max MTU size used by the OSX

I'm using mac OSX 10.9.5 to write to NAS, I need to decrease the SMB max MTU size used by the OSX

By default, OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 Network MTU is set to 1500. If you perform the following at your SMB server, with an MTU of 1500, you will likely receive Message too long, and the SMB share takes a very long while to mount. This might be the contributing factor that has you believe it is an SMB MTU configuration issue.
    ping -c 1 -D -s 1500 smbserver
If you dial the Network MTU down in a custom setting, the ping is immediate, and the SMB share mounts briskly. I tried values in small decrements until the message too long ceased.
    ping -c 1 -D -s 1472 smbserver
I have done some searching and I do not see how, in Apple's current SMB implementation, that one can configure /etc/nsmb.conf to reduce SMB MTU size. See man nsmb.conf.

  • What are the units of the DAQmx counter?

    Hello,
I created this VI and several similar ones a few months ago, but, I have forgotten some of what I did back then.  I believe that this VI should measure period, using the counter on the DAQ chassis.  Can anyone tell me the units of the period measured?  I think it is seconds, but, I am trying to figure out how to figure that out!  The values of the period are generated by the DAQmx READ function in the WHILE loop.  What units is that function outputting to the array?  What are the units of the array elements, essentially?  See the attached VI.
Also, how do you know?  I opened the DETAILED HELP for the DAQmx Read (Counter 1D DBL NSamp) shown in the VI but, I can't find anything on the units of the data coming out of the terminal labeled DATA with the orange wire, which is actually an array of periods, and we take the average of the most recent 15 or so period measurements.
I had a suggestion months ago for an online NI manual containing a description of Buffered EdgeCounting measurements, but, when I went to find it, the link had been changed by NI, so, I can't find that manual, but, I think the answer is probably there, because I recall that manual being very useful when I did this before.
    Thanks for the guidance.

    HI dav2010,
When you create a Virtual Channel, you should specify the units the counter task will use.  There are several options which are listed in the help here:
    http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370469AA-01/lvdaqmx/mxcreatechannel/#DAQmxCreateChannel%28CI...
I am not on a computer with LabVIEW right now, but I believe the default should be ticks, which is the number of ticks of your device's timebase.  You can find that information in your hardware specifications.

  • What's the unit label of y-axis of PSD when using Spectral Measurement Express VI?

    Hi:
What's the unit label of y-axis of PSD when using Spectral Measurement Express VI?
Selected Measurement : Power spectral density
    Result : dB
    No Averaging..
Is dB/Hz the magnitude label of PSD output? Thx!

There could be an issue the the Express VI converting your waveform data into the dreaded Dynamic Data Type, which is just causing more and more memory to be used.
So what I would recommend is use the DAQmx Configure Logging  VI to configure DAQmx to stream the data as you read straight to a TDMS file.  There are various other properties you can set to make the logging go across files.  You just set up the logging before running your task.

It seems like due to some unknown reason permission from the Licensing folder is removed. Please try launching any of the apps by right clicking and select Run as an Administrator, it should fix the issue by doing that.

  • What are the units of the timeline

What are the units fo the timeline? Seconds, weeks, eons, microseconds? Can't tell and there is no video or manual or any instruction out there that tells hyou this simple fact. I've already watched nearly all the videos available and all they do is chunter along about their wonderful videos instead of telling you the basic things. So, now I've spent all day making a presentation that takes at least 300 years to move from one frame to the next and I'm wondering if perhaps the timeline is written in centuries, or millenia instead of something reasonble.
Englightenment on where I can learn basic neglected secrets, would be appreciated. Also appreciated would be some insight into the corporate disease Adobe seems to have which compels it to inflict videos upon people who just want basic answers and to make it necessary to click 185 buttons and log in 17 times to even ask a question on this very helpful forum

  • Error message  "Enter the unit of measure" in WebClient ???

    Hello Experts,
We are working on CRM 5.0 SP 7, IC WebClient and have implemented the BAdi "CRM_SERVICEPROD_BADI" to assign a service product ''INVESTIGATION' whenever user selects service ticket in WebClient.
However, when confirming a Business Partner and accessing the service ticket, an error is getting displayed stating "Enter the unit of measure".
We have already mentioned the unit of measure in Product but it seems it is not picking from there.
Please help me to remove this error.
Reward points assured for useful answers.
    Regards,
    Amit

    Hi Amit
Gerhard is 100% correct. Please make sure that your unit of measures are maintained on the product master(trans COMMPR01).
Use the code below in CRM_PRODUCT_I_BADI to set uom.
      if cs_product_i_badi-process_qty_unit is initial.
        cs_product_i_badi-process_qty_unit = 'EA'.
        cs_product_i_badi-process_qty_num = 1.
        cs_product_i_badi-process_qty_den = 1.
      endif.
Also, you will find you get error to specify product quantity. This can be done in badi CRM_SCHEDLIN_BADI with code below.
    if is_schedlin_wrk-quantity is initial.
       cs_schedlin_badi-quantity = 1.
    endif.

  • I want to know the function moulde used to convert the unit of measure

The whole process should be done in the Portugues login language.
For the login language PT( Portuguese). In table MARA, if i choose the menu settings-> use parameters-> and chek this field (conversion field exit) . Then for any material if i check the unit of measure (MEINS), is display of all the material its shows differently, but if i select one material and see all the fields of that material, the MEINS field is changed. For example when all the materials are show the MEINS is ST. but when i select one material and display it . it shows PEC in portugues language.
I want to know the function moulde used to convert the unit of measure

    HI,
There exits the conversion routine for that particular field in its domain level..
copy that conversion routine and search for that in SE37 your conversion routine
you will find the function module this gives you the internal and external formats
Fms are listed below for MEINS
CONVERSION_EXIT_CUNIT_INPUT    Conversion exit for commercial (3-char) measurement unit INPUT
CONVERSION_EXIT_CUNIT_OUTPUT   Conversion exit for commercial (3-char) measurement unit OUTPUT
For convertiung quantity into base unit of measure you can do this way
    CALL FUNCTION 'ME_CONVERSION_MEINS'                       "#EC *
        EXPORTING
          i_matnr             = "give material number"
          i_mein1             = "Unit of measurement "
i_meins             = "base unit of measure
          i_menge             = "quantity
        IMPORTING
menge               = "quantioty in your required measurement
        EXCEPTIONS
          error_in_conversion       = 1
          no_success                = 2
