I am unable to sort out sending mms, there is no 'mms' under options so most of the tips wont work.
Is there anything I can do to fix this
HELP THANKS!!

Yep, just had this happen to me. Turned off MMS, went back to message and "send" worked. MMS turned back on and is also working. Strange.

  • MMS not working LG G2

I just got my device switched out 3 days ago due to my old phone messing up with MMS. It was working great until yesterday when the exact same problem I was having with my old LG G2 started occurring AGAIN! My picture messaging does not work at all, sending or receiving. When receiving I get a gray box that looks like a broken photo and has a little triangle with an exclamation point in the corner. When sending I get an error message "attachment size limit is exceeded." The picture I am trying to send was taken with the phone itself!!!! I talked with a rep last night and I have done soft resets, hard resets, tried sending a pic with both wifi on and wifi off (data only), I have tried using the Verizon messaging app as well as others a rep reccommended, and still NOTHING WORKS!!! Hell they gave me a brand new SIM card two weeks ago to try to fix the old phone so it can't be that either. I am really getting frustrated with this whole ordeal. The phone wasn't even 6 months old when it messed up and now a brand new one messes up in less than 2 days after receiving it?!?! COME ON!!!! I don't pay my bill each month for a phone that doesn't work! HELP PLEASE!!!

I have been having the same issue until I decided to take matters into my own hands since verizon offered no assistance. What I did to start receiving/ sending mms messages after kitkat update was simple but not simple to figure out! I had to delete every message thread from every app including hangouts and the default messaging app. Then I had to find a reliable cache cleaner in the google play store! I then cleared all cached processes on my lg g2. I then turned my phone off for a short period of time which probably was not necessary a quick restart would probably be fine. I rebooted and went into my messaging apps settings  and enabled mms and sms message auto deleting and changed it to 200 sms per thread and 20 mms per thread! I made sure my messaging apps were completely empty and then successfully sent an mms message to my wife and then sent myself an mms message from her phone! I have since not had any issues but I make sure to keep the amount of messages/ threads very low to avoid the issue! I guess the stupid phone cannot handle more than a couple hundred messages after kitat update! I hope this helped as it worked fine for me but took me some time and alot of frustration to figure out!

  • MMS not working in iPhone4S when installing config profile with APN

When we use the iPhone Configuration Utility (either the latest version or previous versions) to create a config profile with APN info, then install the profile to an iPhone4S, we noticed that MMS (multimedia messaging) was no longer working. This means we could not send or receive MMS messages. And this is MMS going over the MMS protocol (and not iMessage). We had not seen this before. We routinely do config profiles with APN info and have done for all iPhone models and iOS version before the new iPhone4S. Never had a problem with MMS or anything else. This is for iPhone4S devices in the AT&T network. It is easy to reproduce and you don't need an enterprise APN for that. In fact just a config profile with AT&T's APN settings will still break MMS when installed (other than the MMS, everything else works fine).
It does not appear an iOS 5 issue. iPhone4 (or iPhone3GS) with iOS 5 do not have this problem. It appears to be tied to the new iPhone4S hardware. The same configuration profile (with the APN info) works fine on iPhone4 with iOS 5 (MMS works fine), but when you put the very same configuration profile to an iPhone4S, MMS quits working.
Doing a network reset does not solve the problem. Only removing the profile fixes the MMS
    Any ideas, explanations or workarounds?

I called the Apple care line, and eventually got to 4th tier support, where they declared that there must be an issue with the APN I'm using, regardless of the fact that none of the iPhone 3G, 3GS', and 4's in our office are experiencing this issue while using the same APN.  I guess I shouldn't be surprised about this, afterall who'd expect Apple to actually admit there's a "bug" in one of their products, especially since this is hapenning to a very small number of users on the 4S.  Getting to 4th tier support was free, but to be able to talk to someone who can actually investigate this issue will cost $700.
I offered to give them access to our private APN for testing, but they were "unable to do that sort of testing".  Additionally, we have tested using a public APN from AT&T (wap.cingular), and still experience the same issue.
Lastly,  I did some further digging, and I think it has something to do with PDP Context 2 not getting an IP address.  As a disclaimer, I have no clue what a PDP Context is, what it does, what it's for, but obviously MMS needs it.  Going into field test mode on the phone will allow you to see the PDP Contexts, and is where I got this info from.
On the iPhone 4S, without an APN profile installed, the PDP Contexts are listed 0-3.  These 4 contexts have values for an APN, and an IPv4 address, although context 0 and 2 are the only ones that have values in them.
When an APN profile isnt installed, MMS' can be sent, cellular internet doesn't work., the values are:
    Context 0
    IPv4:    ip is blank
APN:   phone (this is the default APN for the iphone 4s on att).
    Context 2
IPv4:     has a valid public IP address
    APN:     wap.cingular
When an APN profile is installed, MMS's can't be sent, but cellular internet does work, the values are:
    Context 0:
IPv4:     Valid public IP address is present
    APN:     Our enterprise APN
    Context 2:
    IPv4:     ip is  blank.
    APN:     wap.cingular
It appears that when Context 2 has an IP address, MMS' are able to be sent.  One other interesting fact, on the iPhone 4, only 1 PDP Context is listed, while the 4S has 4 listed.
Hopefully this issue will be resolved in the 5.1 update, as this update contains a baseband update for the 4S, updating it from 1.0.14 to 1.2.01-1.  Unfortunately I don't have access to a 5.1 beta, otherwise I'd test this my self.  If anyone has access to the beta, and wants to test APN profiles/MMS send status, we'd greatly appreciate it!

  • MMS not working with O2 - Just a heads-up to any L...

    Thought I'd give a heads-up to any Lumia 800 users on O2 out there/here.
It has now become something of an official 'issue' in o2 tech support that sending and receiving mms messages is 'troubled' for lack of a better word on the lumia 800.
I myself can only receive mms messages but not send. Others may APPEAR to have mms working but will find that the occassional (maybe every other) mms sent to them will not get through.
O2 are apparently working on this issue now but thought I'd spread the word just in case there's anyone on here who either cant get mms to work, are having mms only work every now and again, or also for o2 users who may not even know about this yet.
    Pads.

In relation to Potatowned's comment, yeah mate I have the latest firmware and os. It's makes no difference, at least where O2 is concerned. Yeah the network settings app was fairly useless for me. O2 themselves also said that the diagnostic section won't help
They seem pretty confident on the phone (they could just be good liars ) That this is going to be resolved fairly soon, at their end rather than a software update.
It IS a bit depressing calling a technical support line just to hear some moron on the other end reading through a script of questions - such gems of course including : "Make sure the o in o2 is typed as a letter, and not the number zero'.
    Thanks tech support.

  • MMS not working, iPhone 5 to Android phones

Just like the title says, I cannot send MMS from my iPhone 5 to my friend's Galaxy S4. We text message fine, so SMS is working. I have MMS messaging turned on in my settings. I've tried resetting network settings. I still can't send or recieve any pictures to and from Android phones. I also tried turning WiFi off and it still wouldn't send/receive with just the data turned on. Please help! I'm out of ideas.

not sure what carrier you are using but i use straighttalk and had same issue....here is how i resolved it
    1. delete any profiles you have saved settings>general>profile  delete if you see profile there if not go to step 2
    2. turn on wifi (my internet was also not working)
    3. open safari
    4. type iapnupdatetfdata.straighttalk.com
    5. download profile
    6. turn off wifi
    7. turn off phone
    8. turn on phone
my internet and pictures worked after this, any user, any carrier, no issues....hope this is helpful!

  • IPhone 3G MMS Not Working After iOS4

After upgrading to iOS4 on 3G, lost the ability to send/rec MMS on Starhub network. Have made sure the option to enable MMS feature in Message Settings is turned on. No avail!!
    Anyone facing the same problem??
Did restore a couple of times and MMS is still broken! what the,,,,,
Apple Engineers, are you monitoring this forum? Please get the fix quick!!

I didnt notice that my MMS was disabled until after I jailbroke 4.0 update. It ***** that iphone 3g users cant get multitasking and all the good updates, but when u jailbreak IT CAN! I did receive MMS right after the update. But now, I can only get MMS if I restore the phone back to its original settings and restore it as a new phone, not my old one. I been restoring to all my old back ups all day to see which one would enable MMS again. There is no option for MMS to be turned on like it was right after I restore it. I also didnt notice that the 3G network wasnt working because I am always in a wi-fi area. Until last nite, I jailbroke and everything was find until I tried to send my girlfriend a pic and there was NO MMS option. I tried to reset network settings, and thats when I realized 3G did not work.
If I could up with a solution I'll post it!

  • Load-balancing of transparent cache + IP spoofing + RTSP + MMS not working

We have already in production an architecture with load-balancing of
    transparent cache + ip spoofing.
We are unable to do the same for streaming flows (MMS and RTSP).
We are doing PBR from our core network (2 * C6K) to redirect port 80, 554 and
1755 toward CSS boxes, same in our access router (2* Ciso7200).
In this config desired flows are redirected toward the CSS.
Then CSS should load balance the traffic toward our BlueCoat proxy-cache farm.
It's working fine for HTTP but we are unable to make it works for MMS and
    RTSP.
Note that we are requiered to use ECMP to perform IP Spoofing on the CSS, meaning we need 4 routes for each client subnet (one route toward upstream C6K, and 3 routes for each proxy cache). We use acl to get rid off looping condition.
Anyone who has already put in place Load-balancing of Streaming transparent cache + IP spoofing could give us some hint.
    Many thanks.
    Regards,
    Pierre Viennet

    Gilles, thanks for your input.
Here where we are at with streaming implementation:
    - HTTP on all type off client is working
    - RTSP: TCP 554 with Real Media client is working
    - RTSP: TCP 554 with WMP not working, but it's due to a bug in Bluecoat implementation, the proxy send an error when he see a request with ( User-Agent: WMPlayer ) for RTSP content.
    - MMS: TCP 1755 not working with IP spoofing enable on the proxy but OK without IP spoofing...
    - UDP 554: not working
    - UDP 1755: not working
I fully understand the limitation for UDP traffic.
But I don't see why it's not working for MMS over TCP traffic.
Note that I have the exact same configuration for RTSP and MMS.
Why is it not working for MMS with IP spoofing? Are you aware of a difference on the way CSS handle MMS flows? or a specificity of the MMS protocol?
Below what we can see on the different equipement when trying to launch a MMS over TCP Stream:

  • IPhone 3g S - (UK) MMS not working, o2 have said config is right but......

o2 have informed me my account has been set up and mms activated and i have checked the config settings onthe phone but it still will not send mms, i have sent the mms text to 1010 and it has replied with please wait while we set up mms on the phone, we will let u know shortly, but i still have not yet received a reply to say it is ok.
i have scoured google and it seems everyone else in the uk is having the same problem. mms still will not work!!!!!

My mms works sweet in the uk. I sent a text To o2 yesterday and it took 24 hours to start working. Don't be too worried. You could try again.

  • IPhone 3G running 4.0 MMS not working.

The settings switch for MMS is there and on, as is the picture icon by the text bar in messaging.
I have tried a DFU restore, and texting MMS to 1010 (i'm on o2). is this an o2 problem? whenever i used to restore with 3.x a message would come up from o2 saying MMS was ready to use.
MMS messaging worked fine before the update to 4.0
    any ideas?

I'm getting the sense that updating to the OS 4 for a 3G phone is a bad idea. I tried to start last night but the first stage, the back up, took literally hours so I cancelled it. Seriously, it took about 4 hours and the progress bar barely moved a milimetre.
Interestingly, I had just synced the phone (I do it daily or every two days) so I found it odd that it needed to do it.
Is that the general concensus? Stay away from it? Thoughts, advise, anyone?

  • Sending jpg to iPhone via mms not working

I'm trying to send a jpg from my email to an iPhone via mms, i'm using the correct format [email protected] but the iPhone gets an error that reads:
The part image/jpg: name=name.jpg; x-unit-mode=0644; x-mac-hide-extension=yes was removed form the message as not supported.
    Any ideas?

You cannot send an image to an iPhone using @mms.att.net. mms.att.net was a workaround for phones that are not capable of email. If you want to send an image to the phone, just send it to whatever email address you are using on the phone.
I dont buy that answer, i can send pics to my friend that has a normal flip phone that way. I also send .3gp movie files to my iphone 3G as a work around of not being able to attach/select video file to send via mms. You can however, forward a video clip that was sent to you. Are youy sure its not a formating of the jpg files or something, im fairly certain i have sent my own phone pics from my e-mail.

  • IPhone 4S - iOS 6 MMS not working

I have recently updated to iOS 6.0....doing this caused my MMS messaging to stop working. I cannot send or receive pictures via text message. However, I can send/receive pictures via iMessage. MMS via regular text messaging is a MUST-HAVE for me for work...Is there any way to fix this or will it be fixed with iOS 6.0.1? If so, when will 6.0.1 be released?

After looking at my original post, I realize that I have neglected to mention something important...and would like to apologize to those who have offered their help. I am using my iPhone 4S with Straight Talk. I thought I had mentioned this in my original post, again...I apologize for misleading/misinforming you all. I know that this probably has something to do with the MMS issue, but I still posted here bc I'm not the only person using their iPhone with Straight Talk's service and assumed there were others out there scratching their heads with the same trouble.
Thanks again for each of your suggestions...they are much appreciated.

  • Mms not working on iphone5

My bluetooth and MMS don't work on my iphone5. Can't connect to any bluetooth device although the devices can see my phone which rejects all requests to be paired. MMS messaging isn't working either. Tried everything possible and even had reset the phone back to factory settings as reommended by apple technical support, still no luck. My first iphone and I am really not impressed!!!!!!

Yep, just had this happen to me. Turned off MMS, went back to message and "send" worked. MMS turned back on and is also working. Strange.

  • MMS not working on HTC Hero?

Has anyone had the same issues as me trying to get MMS working on the Hero?
Tried various settings but it refused to work.  I'm not too fussed about sending them due to the ridiculous cost but people send them to me and I never get them - not even a text referring me to a website like O2 used to - not sure if they're being charged for the priviliege as well!
    Solved!

Dunno how true the rumour was, but I recall hearing that the Hero's got shipped in two "forms" one with and one without the settings.
You might like to try this I clipped it from the forum ages ago, its set up on my Hero handset and appears to work fine with MMS
