Mobile (bluetooth) filemaker barcode printer for iPad2

I am looking for a mobile (bluetooth) filemaker barcode printer for iPad2. Looking to use Filemaker app for ipad 2 to print barcodes and labels on while on the go.
What mobile printers are supported?

Domcas-
The iPad prints via WiFi, not Bluetooth.  Unless it was recently added, I'm not aware of any mobile printers that support AirPrint.  See Apple's list of AirPrint printers at <iOS: AirPrint 101>.
Several others have asked about mobile printers that work with an iPad.  One approach is to use an AirPrint printer with a DC-to-AC inverter in your vehicle.  By setting up its WiFi to host an Ad Hoc network, you could print directly to the printer and would not need a router.  However, a router could be powered by the same inverter if you want.
I think a small 100 Watt DC-to-AC inverter that plugs into a lighter socket, should be powerful enough, depending on how much power your printer uses.

Do you mean a external cd/dvd drive that connects by usb port? If you do then any brand will work. It does not have to be a apple brand for it to work on your mac. Most go for around $30 in the usa.
I use a asus brand that cost me just under $30. Works on any computer it is connect to.

The UFR2 driver does support Dept ID printing, providing you have the Mac's printing directly to the C2020. I have added some screen captures for the UFR2 driver to an iR C3380, the same applies to the new ADVANCE C2020.
If you have a document to print, let's say a PDF in Preview, and open the print dialog, you should have a Special Features menu as shown.
If you press the Printer Info button under the copiers picture, this will communicate with the copier and determine that Department ID Management is enabled, as shown. Note also the coins and calculater icon in the bottom left of the copier image.
OK this window which will return you to the Special Features above. But now you will have Job Accounting check box, which will be ticked.
If you press the Settings button, highlighted above with the red box, this will present a window where you can enter the department ID and password for this user, and also select whether you want the ID pop-up window when you print, so that you can change the ID/password if needed.
You are now ready to print to the C2020.

  • Barcode Printing in Pick List

    Hi,
The issue is I am not able to print barcode in Pick list (LK01) belongs to Plant 'B' whereas I am able to print barcode in Picklist belong to Plant'A'. I am using the same HP printer which supports barcode printing for both the above instances.
I am not able to figure out the reason for this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    UK

    Hi Vivek,
    Thanks for your kind response.
The barcode box is ticked for the said combination.
The Printer CT3FM is located in Plant 'A',  so the user who sits in Plant 'A' want to print the Pick List of a Process Order belongs to Plant 'B'  (Testing Purpose).
The barcode facility currently being used in Plant 'A', the client wants to implement barcode printng in Plant'B' as well.   So before setting up a printer with SIMM card in Plant 'B' they want to test whether it works fine with the existing CT3FM printer in Plant 'A'.
    Thanks,
    UK

  • Looking for a mobile printer for my car/ on the road work for my IPAD2

Looking for a printer I can use in my car and where ever necessary.

I've been happily printing for a while from my iPad to my battery-operated HP H470 with absolutely no wires (and no router / pre-existing WiFi connection - it operates in AdHoc mode). Literally just the iPad and the H470 - in fact, one time in a marquee in the middle of a muddy field with no power and a long way from the nearest WiFi connection, so it can be done from literally anywhere.
Once I'd sorted it all out, I wrote down the solution and the steps to get it to work in the hope of helping others:

  • Mobile Printing with ipad2

I am trying to develop a business system with ipad2 as the core tool. We Generate pdf documents and  email to most end users however the problem is that some clients will need a hard copy printed pdf file. Our staff are mobile in remote locations without access to mains power. The solution is a mobile printer that can utilise "AirPrint" but who makes such a thing? Anybody... Help...

There is a solution ... I also couldn't find any info on a true mobile printing solution for iPad (or iPhone/iPod for that matter) but felt sure it must be possible, somehow - so once I'd sorted it all out, I wrote down the solution and the steps to get it to work in the hope of helping others:

  • Oracle Apps 11i - Pasta Setup for Barcode print in rdf file

    Hi All,
Since last some days i am trying to setup Oracle Apps 11i to print barcode reports (RDF files)  from concurrent manager.
If anybody have any idea about how to configure pasta to print post script files which support barcode, please suggest.
I have already read many documents but not able to do that. In one of pasta document i found that, pasta support two type of TrueType font. One can be used for regular text and second can be used (bold) for barcode printing. But it shows barcode font as a regular font.
    -Thanks.

  • Need to install eprint on my printer for my mobile phone

need to install eprint on my printer for my mobile phone printing

    Hey HMccoo,
Here are the instructions for how to setup ePrint from your mobile phone.
    http://h71028.www7.hp.com/hho/us/en/ep/articles/setting-up-mobile-printing.html
    HP ePrint Setup Steps
    1. Enable Web (Cloud) Services on your ePrint enabled HP printer.
    a. For assistance navigate to www.hp.com/support and enter your printer’s model number.
    2. When the printer connects to the ePrint servers, shortly after, a HP ePrint Mobile Printing page will
    print.
    a. A Product Update may be needed in order to continue to enable Web Services.
    3. Bring the ePrint page mentioned in step 2 to a Web connected computer.
    4. Open an Internet Browser on the Internet connected computer.
    5. Navigate to www.eprintcenter.com in the Internet Browser.
    6. Select the Blue button that reads “Sign In” on the Home Page at ePrintcenter.com.
    7. After selecting “Sign In” a window will open. Select “Sign Up” in Blue letters at the top of the window.
    8. After selecting “Sign Up” a window will open allowing you to enter information to create an account.
    9. When your account has been created successfully, the account owner will be prompted to “Add
    Printer”.
    10. On the ePrint Page, from step 2, you will find a Printer Code just right of the Blue number 2. Use this
    Printer Code to “Add Printer”.
    11. Once the Printer has been added successfully you will be given the option to setup.
    12. In the Setup options you have the option to enter a Custom email address.
    a. Erase the original Printer code from the custom email address field and enter the customized
    email address of your choice.
    b. You will not have to enter the domain, @hpeprint.com.
    c. Example: [email protected]
    d. Click “Check” to confirm that the custom email address is available for use.
    13. In the Setup options you can select a security type: Allow Everyone or Authorized users only.
    a. Note: No ePrint jobs will print on your printer unless you give the customized email address to
someone. Allowing everyone simply allows whomever you give the printer email address to
send ePrint jobs to your printer.
    14. At the top of your home page confirm that your printer name is displayed and there are green check
    marks beside “Connected” & “Ready”.
    15. Congratulations you have done an Outstanding Job! Now you should be able to send ePrint jobs to
    your printer!
Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.
If I have resolved your issue, feel free to provide Kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided.

  • Need to be able to setup printing for my Ipad2. How do I find the instructions. THe printer is installed and capable, but I do not see it from either my iPad2 OR iphone 4.  Please advise.

need to be able to setup printing for my Ipad2. How do I find the instructions. THe printer is installed and capable, but I do not see it from either my iPad2 OR iphone 4.  Please advise.

    1. Make sure you've updated the printer firmware and successfully printed the test sheet from the printer.
    2. Make sure that your iPad is on the same network as your printer.
    3. Try printing from an app. To print this page from Safari, for example, go to the rectangle with the right- facing arrow on the toolbar, choose Print from the drop down menu, select your printer, and click Print.
Printing in apps is usually under the rectangle-arrow symbol, but is also sometimes found under the wrench- "tools" symbol.

  • Is it possible to turn an hp 6500 all in 1 printer into a bluetooth printer for toshiba thrive?

Hi, i have 2 wireless hp 6500 all in 1 printers (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs).  2 of my relatives each have a toshiba thrive and they want to print to the downstairs printer.  i haven't had a good day to play around with everything but neither of them can print.  1 of them doesn't have a computer as hers died.  i am working on my old one to give to her till she can afford a new one and she doesn't use the tablet because she cant print from it.  i did try for a bit and i tried google cloud print, hp's apps and no success.
where i work, their was a printer that had a usb-like device into it and another one like it to a computer and the printer could print wirelessly via bluetooth.  the printer was a dell red product that is no longer sold.  i was wondering if i cant print from the tablet via traditional means, can i ( if the printer doesn't already have the capability), use a similar device and print via bluetooth from the thrive to the hp.

No, you cannot scan over the network, unless the printer has network capability.. in which case the printer must connect via ethernet or wireless not USB.
All USB printers are designed as local printers not network.
